Making a customer inactive in R12 Receivables

I am using R12 and in receivables I am attempting to make customer inactive but cant seem to find how to do it in this form. I can make the account and site inactive but not the customer. I am sure that there is a simple way to do this but the customer form in R12 can be hard to follow at times. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the info however the note refers to making a customer contact inactive, but does not refer to making the customer itself inactive. Also the AR user guide does not display how to do this either.
Does anyone else have any idea how to make a customer inactive in the R12 AR customer form?

    Under Data Librarioan responsibility go to Data Quality --> Party Maintenance, search for your party then change the status. Just remember you will not be able to search for Inactive party (untill you re-activate the party again). And more important question: are you sure you want to inactivate a party? Does Oracle recommend it?

  • Custom reports in R12 not returning any data

    I'm seeing an issue of custom reports in R12 not returning any data. So far what I've been able to dig into is that the report query itself is referring to APPS synonyms that are secured under MOAC. What I am able to do is run the query in SQL Developer after having run mo_global.set_policy_context and I receive the data I'm looking for. This is not the case when running the report through the concurrent programs request.
    Secondly, I've also configured the concurrent program request to run as single operating unit mode. This aided in fixing any issues with LOVs on the parameter form. However, still no results from the report itself. I've also searched around quite extensively and added a P_CONC_PROGRAM_ID user parameter in reports developer, as well as adding SRW.USER_EXIT('FND SRWINIT') to the before report trigger and SRW.USER_EXIT('FND SRWEXIT') to the after report trigger as well. No luck. I've also tried running mo_global.set_policy_context on the before report trigger and no such luck.
    Has anyone seen similar issues with this and could shed some light? At this point, the workaround I would see is to just change the query to use respective all tables and match up against the orgid, but I'd rather not do that.

    I am facing exactly the same issue with 2 of my custom Reports in R12.1.3. We did our level best to find out the issue. It was always a hit and trial fix.
    But the following were our observations and workarounds
    0) The reports Conc Prog were in MOAC - Single mode. Both the reports had SRW INIT, EXIT and P_CONC_REQUEST_ID
    1) The reports which caused the issues[NO data fetched for MOAC] had multiple Queries in the data model and one Query fetches data and the 2nd one doesnt. Both the queries when run from SQL developer after setting the org gave results.
    Workaround for Report1
    a) We deleted the data link connecting the 2 columns in both the queries and added a bind variable instead in the 2nd /child query to refer to the column in the parent query and linked the 2 groups.
    Workaround for Report 2
    a) In report 2 the queries were not linked to each other. Only one query used to return results and the 2nd one returned 0 rows. The workaround was to use the "where" conditions as lexical parameters after having set the value for the same in before report trigger.
    Both the work around looks illogical. Still It worked..!

    I found that the HTML Call was incorrect as I put it in between " " before.

    After I removed the " ", I've got a new error which I attached.
    It missleading error:

  • What has happened to making the customer happy?

    I have 5 months left on my contract (November 2014) and yesterday I dropped my phone and it is completely dead.  I carry insurance on the phone so it can be replaced.  I would prefer to upgrade at this time to a new phone (Samsung Galaxy).  I went into the Verizon store and was told that unless I paid retail I would not be able to get a new phone as I was under contract.  Really?  Can I not extend my contract by another 2 years and get the phone I want now instead of waiting until November?  I told the employee that I would be going to T-Mobile since they are paying EFT's and offering the Galaxy for $0 down.  The monthly payment would be the same as I would get at Verizon.  He said "then that's what you should do".  Again, Really????  I have been with Verizon for more than 10 years!  I would consider myself a good and loyal customer.  What has happened to making the customer happy?  I was more than okay with extending my contract for an additional two years and completing the 5 months I have left.  All I wanted was to purchase a phone at a "customer rate" not a retail rate.  I am now shopping other carriers and plans.  Not the way to do business Verizon!

    You agreed to complete a 24 month contract, you are only 20 months into that contract. The Samsung you're referring to or any phone with T-Mobile won't be free, you will end up paying the full retail price of that phone like you said you did not want to do with Verizon. If you have insurance use it to get your phone replaced and then wait for your upgrade date.

  • ALE - Making system pretend that it is receiver as well

    We are trying out some scenarios where in we have only one client. So, we want to configure in SALE in such a way that, we can send out IDocs and receive it back ourselves so that we can process it (as though we received it from another party).
    I know this can be done. If any body know how to get this done in steps, I would be greatful.

    I have found the following procedure in quite a few places on the web. But, after all the settings as described, I find that:
    The IDoc is making out successfully but
    On the receiving side, it is throwing up error 56 (Inbound Partner Profile Error)
      even if I had the inbound partner profile defined.

    Let's assume that LOGSYS0100 is the logical system name of the client we want to work with, and that MATMAS(material master) is the message type of the distribution model. Follow these steps:
    1.Create a "dummy" logical system name. Using transaction SALE, choose "Sending and Receiving Systems->Logical Systems->Define Logical System", enter LOGSYSD100, give it any name you want and save.This dummy logical system will serve as the receiver system in the distribution scenario.
    2.Using transaction SM59, create RFC destination LOGSYSD100 for the dummy logical system. The RFC destination addresses the same client.
    3.Create a distribution view in transaction BD64 with LOGSYS0100 as the sender, LOGSYSD100 as the receiver, and message type MATMAS.
    4.Generate partner profiles for the newly created distribution view using transaction BD82, or in transaction BD64 select "Enviroment->Generate partner profiles". Note that this step will generate only the outbound parameters.
    5.Using transaction WE20, create the inbound parameters of logical system LOGSYS0100 for message type MATMAS. The approporiate process code for MATMAS is MATM.

    Hi Friends, While creating sales order when I m putting sold to party I am getting the error
    customer has been assigned order block--customer inactive.I tried using XD05 there is no tick mark and I removed entry from sales/delivery/billing block. Still I am facing same error.

    When you remove the customer block in VD05, you have to come back of the order entry screen.
    You have to re-enter the order again. Only then it will allow you.
    This is to refresh the system after you removed the block.

    I tried this in R12 vision.
    From the main Home Page self service home page --> Receivables(Vision, USA) --> Customers --> Customers. On this page, I can see the Create button
    From the FORMS --> Receivables(Vision, USA) --> Customers --> Customers, it opens the same page, but there is no Create Button.
    See if the same happening in your case. May be wehn we navigage to this page from the FORM, it is going in query mode.

  • R12 Receivables - Transaction Workbech (Translated Desc)

    When creating invoices in the Transaction Workbench (Receivables) we are finding that sometimes the ‘Translated Desc’ field (on the invoice lines) is being populated (the user insists it was not populated by them!), but this does not happen in all instances.
    Does anyone know what would cause this filed to be populated?

    This happens because this reason:
    If you have your customer locations (hz_locations) storing the language in there, form uses that language to get the translated description into that field for that language. You can use this SQL to find that:

    If this returns the a row then check this:
    SELECT mtl.description

    WHERE mtl.inventory_item_id = &l_inv_item_id
    AND mtl.organization_id = &l_so_org_id
    AND mtl.language = <Language from above>;
    This description gets defaulted into the form. If there is language stored in the customer locations then it assumes your default language, hence no translation. The same can be seen for the memo lines as well. I tested this in my system and this theory proved correct so far.
    Just wanted to add, you can find the language in the screen at customer address level in Characteristics tab in 11i and in R12 in Account site details region of the Account Site Information.

    2. Link the integrator to the form function (security link)
    3. Add the function to your menu.
    Questions Related to it
    i) Now when we create a form function in application developer does there to have to be any action associated with the function ? if so what would be the action? or do we need to a create a dummy function?
    ii) How do i link my integrator to my form function ? would appreciate if some one can eloborate on it

    please let me summarize what needs to be done, and also the easiest way.
    WebADI deals with access security (to make sure that not everyone can execute everything and can get data he shall not see).
    Two things to do:
    1. Create a record in a security table which links a form function to the integrator.
    2. Put this function in your menu somewhere and from that time on you should be able to execute.
    You should, because this simple approach does not work for me at all. I was cleaning the web cache, local cache, still not worked. Then I have checked the user guide and it states you need to bounce the apache. Ok, can I do this, is this what I want? No.
    I am doing it different,, and it works always (in R12):
    1. Create a record in a security table which links a form function to the integrator.
    2. Create a qualified function call to your integrator and link this directly as menu entry into your menu.

    the integrator to use is the 800:HR_SETUP_MAINT_FUNC_INTG
    "HR Maintain Integrator Form Function Association => you get it by using Responsibility: "HR Web ADI"
    table is BNE_SECURED_OBJECTS
    to 2)
    The function I am creating is the following (you can get it from the last step from the document creation wizard)

    Keep in mind that R12.1.2 offers a new set of forms with a responsibility "Desktop Integration Manager" with which you can do all these steps in a web form.

  • Call Custom Service from Event Receiver as Current User

    i bang my head on this problem for days now:
    My custom web service hosted in Sharepoint 2013 needs to know the logged on user name. I used to have a self-written impersonation in my service client before, but with switching to claims authentication this should be obsolete.
    So within my service i decode the user from

    All research pointed out that "CreateChannelActingAsLoggedOnUser" would pass the current user (which is correctly identified within the event receiver!) to the service, but it doesn't work for my event receiver...
    Any advice on this would be great!

    You should be able to get the current user id from the SPListItemEventProperties object. From here you should be able to create a Claim. For example get the user by using

  • Customer getting "too many received" error trying to send us an email

    We have a customer who's emails are bouncing back to them from our server and we cannot get their emails. The error they are getting says "too many received". What is that and how do I fix it?

  • NOT thrilled with the customer service I just received.

    I just ended a call with a customer service representative by the name of Amber.
    Like the many users on this forum, I was up at 12:00am on 9/12 pre-ordering 2 Iphone 6+ 128g devices.  Throughout the pre-order process, I was shown a delivery date of no later than 7:00pm on Sept. 19th.  I submitted my order within minutes, only to wake up to an e-mail with a delivery date of 10/7/14.  I called customer service that day and was told that I would have the phones on Sept. 19th despite what the email said.  Now five days later,  my order status remains "we received your order and it is in process" and the Expected Ship Date is "Not available at this time."  Further, my credit card has yet to be charged.  Other users on this forum submitted their orders for the same phones after me, yet have receveid tracking numbers showing a deliver date of Sept. 19th.
    While on the phone with Amber, she suggested that I go to a retailer on Friday to see if I can get the devices.  Needless to say, I was quite offended by her recommendation.  I reminded her that I intended on renewing two contracts with Verizon in exchange for two phones being in my hands on Friday.  I also suggested that if she wants me to go to a retailer, then Verizon runs the risk of losing my longstanding account if another provider provides me with a better deal.  She then back tracked and said that was not what she was trying to suggest.
    Verizon, I would like to speak or deal with a customer service rep who can give me assurance that my pre-ordered phones will be delivered on 9/19 as was promised when I placed by pre-order just minutes after they went up for pre-sale.  With all due respect, I am looking for answers, not a link to an order status page that I have been checking far too often over the last five days.  Thank you.
