Making a very wide page slide to the left

I have a very wide page in my site and I'm wondering what device I can use so that the page slides to the left. I want it to move gradually rather than in steps, as an anchor tag would do.
Similar to what this home page does, although this is a slide show. My page contains a series of text blocks and images.
Is there such a thing in Muse? Am I overlooking something obvious?
Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Bud,
You can achieve this by creating a wide page. Increase the page width in page properties.
After which you need to place the anchors as you move towards the right on the page and then create objects which link to them for the page transition to happen.

  • Look at your iphoto 'page'. On the left is a margin running vertically down the page and within that margin are shown your files/folders - e.g 'events', I can't get that margin contents back

    Look at your iphoto 'page'.
On the left is a margin running vertically down the page and within that margin are shown your files/folders - e.g 'events', 'last 12 months', 'anniversary' etc etc.
Now visualize the 'page' but WITHOUT the margin and the entries in it. It just disappeared while I was editing photos.
I've tried all the 'File', 'Edit', 'View', 'Share' 'Window' & 'Help' options, but no success.
There is no apparent way of calling up onto the screen any photos, folders etc. because I can't get the margin and its contents back onto the iphoto page.
I've tried restoring the page from my backup, where it is all perfect, but that didn't work.
    Help please!

Move your cursor to the extreme left hand side of the iPhoto Window until it turns into a '+' and then click and drag right.

  • Right master page oversets to the left master page

    Hi all,
I am currently working on a book. But I ran into an problem that I am not able to fix. So I was hoping you guys could  help me out with this.
    So this is the situation:
I have an "A-Master" page. On this master page I gave the right page a design element. (the blue bar)
In the Indesign preview nothing seems wrong. The left and right page looks exactly like the "A-Master" page.
Then, when I export the .pdf for testing. I see that the right page oversets to the left page. (see image below)
Does anyone know what the problem is here?
    Many thanks,
    Marco

It doesn't look like a problem. Your document is bleeding on the inside and outside. That bleed is stopping short of the crop line. You could go into your document bleed settings and set the inside bleed to none, but I don't think it's a problem...

  • How do I get page numbers on the left and right side of the page?

I am finishing up a book in PAGES '08 on my Mac.
How do I get page numbers on the left and right side of the page.
I can get them on the page but I'd like them on the left and right sides.

If the icons are from dmg files that were used to install 3rd party apps like this one for VueScan
Control (right) - click on the open dmg icon and select "Eject  xxxx" from the contextual window.
Then find the actual dmg file associated with those icons
and drag to the Trash in the Dock and empty.

  • My MacBook Pro screen slides to the left automatically.  It also shakes a bit. Help!!

I hope someone can help me with this issue. I am about to start writing my thesis and my Mac is not working properly.
If I am working on a document or on the web, my screen will slide to the left automatically.  Once it slides, it shakes a bit (like it's stuck). It may slide back to the screen that I had open if I am lucky.  But, I can not control the computer at this point.  I see the cursor and try to control it but I can't.  It just slides back and forth and shakes.
It doesn't happen all the time but it happens more often now.
Any help you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated.  This computer is only 2 years old!
    Thanks!

I just had a long chat with the Apple service. And they were able to help me.
    SOLUTION
Go to "System Preferences" of your Mac and select "Mission Control". On top there are 5 checkboxes. Uncheck the 5th box ("usage of different spaces") and restart your Mac.
It worked out for me! Problem does not occur any more.

  • Noob: Adding text shifts my page over to the left

Okay, I've got seven or so pages mocked up with header div, nav div and then a content div. the body tag has a max width of 960px and auto left & right (so centered on the page).
On all the pages so far, they all line up sweet.
On one, when I paste some text (roughly an A4 page worth) into the content div, the whole page shifts to the left by about 10 pixels. Header div, nav div and content div.
The text is just plain, unstyled text with no CSS applied.
It's doing my head in - that particular page 'jumps' to the left, whereas all the other pages are perfect.
    TIA,
    Simon.

The page shift to the left is caused by the appearance of the vertical browser scroll bar on pages where the content is more than a screen deep (therefore requiring scrolling).
Where the content is less than a screenful, the scrollbar disappears and the page shifts to the right.
    http://css-tricks.com/eliminate-jumps-in-horizontal-centering-by-forcing-a-scroll-bar/
The usual fix is to add the following rule to your CSS stylesheet
    html {
    overflow-y: scroll;
This forces a scrollbar to appear on every page (thereby eliminating the page shift) whether it is required by the amount of content or not.

  • How to make a menu at the top of the page move to the left when scrolling?

I have a menu on the top of the page on a sidebar-sort. I was wondering how you could make it move to the left, not until the scrollbar reaches the end of the page, but when I say so. If i put the key position under the menu, it disappears. If i put it at the top of the page, my only choice is to use the Final motion, but that one moves until the scrollbar ends. So how can I do it?

    Hi Raphael,
Please refer to this screen shot - http://prntscr.com/42weie
You need to set the initial motion to zero and specify the key position to the scroll point, where you would like to begin the scrolling from.

  • Problem with anchor link entire page moves to the left of the browser

I created an anchor link on the top of my home page with a text link at the botton called "back to top of page" whenever I click on the text link on my desktop the page move vertically upwards to the top of the page but when I try doing this on either of my laptop the page moves diagonally from right to left up to the top of the page how can I fix this? You can see this on my website www.sweetproductionmedia.com

hi julia, i placed the anchor in various places to see what works. I placed the anchor center top towards the left and right side within the browser. I also tried upper top outside of the browser center, right and left and it still moves diagonally. Here's what I noticed. On my desktop I use a 25" monitor so the anchor works fine the page moves straight up but whenever I view it on both  laptops  it moves diagonally.  I had my sister test the link on her laptop (she lives in Brazil) and she told me that sometimes it would go straight up and another time it moved diagonally. Here's the link to my website so you can see the problem in action. There's a 'back to top' link on almost every page see for yourself. www.sweetproductionmedia.com
thanks so much for taking the time to help:-)

  • When I select a bookmark, the page opens on the left instead of in the main window?

Most bookmarked pages replace the page being displayed. But one of them keeps popping up on the left in a window which can only be expanded to about a third of the width. I need it to open in the main window rather than in the left hand column. Perhaps I should delete the bookmark for this page and try setting it up again so it will behave "normally"?
    Thanks for your help!
    Bill

Opening in the Sidebar is the default action for bookmarks that are created via a "Bookmark this Page" link or button on a website. Make sure you use the many "Bookmark this Page" methods that are in Firefox instead.
Right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.

  • Some pages shift to the left on iOS mobile platform

This  persistent problem is driving me nuts. Some pages of my mobile sites shift to the left. All of the pages are similarly sized: 420 w x 570 h.As recommended in another thread, I inserted <meta name = "viewport" content = "width = XXX" initial-scale = 1.0> in the metadata to no avail. An example can be found here: http://rockandvine.businesscatalyst.com/index.html.

    Hi,
It seems there are navigation arrows placed to the far right (beyond page) on the pages/master in the Phone layout.
    Please check: https://grabb.worldsecuresystems.com/2013-09-20_0115.png
Removing these should alight the pages correctly.
    Hope that helps.

  • Pages shift to the left

When printing to an HP 3550 in Windows 7 a single page document prints 9 separate pages each slight shifted to the left until the last document only has about a 1/2" of the document on the right side of the page.  This does not happen all of the time but most of the time.

  • Page Alignment to the left of the page?

    Hi,
Would anyone know how to align pages to the left (not centered). There must be an easier way without resolving to HTML!
    Thank you
    MacBook 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

No I'm talking about the whole site. When the site is published iweb automatically centers it. I would like to have my page as far left as possible.
    Here is an example:
    This site is Centered

    This is what I want:

  • I am used to the home page icon on the left of the page. Now it is on the right. How can I move it back to the left?

I see the home page icon on the right side of the page. How do I move it to the left side?

Right-click on a toolbar, select Customize. You can then drag and drop the Home icon to the right side of the toolbar. Click Done to complete the process.
