Making a video with single frames

Hi,
I'd like to make a video with single frames.
One of my computergames is able to take 25 frames per second (or 30, 40 etc.). The game saves the frames in a folder. For one minute there are over 1000 frames.
Now I need to know, how I can tell After Effects that every 25 frames are one seconds.
I just want to make a movie of this game. This will be the easiest way if After Effects can handle with these single frames.
Is it possible? I will be very happy if some can explain me the way to realise my idea.

For reasons that aren't important here I cannot use the Zen video converting software. Instead, I've been using the trial version of the Caniusoft Video to Creative Zen converter. Only once has a video played, but as soon as I closed the video and opened it up again this message appeared. "Cannot play video with this frame rate." Daniusoft offers frame rates from 5 fps to 30. I've tried all of them and none of them work. Has this been a problem for others? Perhaps I need a different converter?

I can't answer your question in full (maybe somebody else can). However, I am aware that both the Zen and the Zen X-Fi can only play video files up to 320x240 resolution. Previous players like the Vision M were able to scale files down to this resolution on the fly, but not these two newer players.

Yes, choose one of the presets in the Export Settings under the format H.264 instead of mpeg4.
Best is not to use Match Sequence Settings if you are not familiair with settings. You might end up with a preview codec, which is of lesser quality in your end product.

Videos now single frame with audio only

My 30g video Ipod's videos now show up under music. When I try to watch them they are just a single frame and I get the audio. The videos are fine when viewed with Itunes. How do I get my videos back to normal videos???

correction: it works fine on my ipod when I have the "TV out" setting set to "off", but I'm only getting audio on my TV when I have the setting "TV out" set to "on." It has worked fine in the past.

How can I create a stop animation video with single images in Premiere Pro?

Let me start off by saying I am 100% new to pretty much all Adobe software as of about 3 weeks ago. I have been doing a lot of googling these past few weeks. With that said, I will do my best to explain my question.
I am making a stop motion animated video. I am not using several photos to create the look, but rather single photoshopped images that I have deleted the backgrounds out of. Basically the video is single charms "crawling" or flying in individually from off screen into a circle, there is a story explaining what each charm means. I started in After Effects, but had issues with audio... am I right in my understanding that you cannot preview the audio unless you use the preview feature? So my solution was playing a guessing game, rendering/exporting, importing it to Premiere Pro, taking notes and then heading back to After Effects to try to re-do the timing. Obviously this was not working too well.
Then after doing more googling and clicking around I figured out you could layer images in Premier Pro and make them move just as you would in After Effects, which is great! There are two things hanging me up...
1. I used the wiggle effect in After Effects. For the life of me I cannot find or figure out an effect or preset similar to this in Premiere Pro. Is there such a thing? Or do I have to create rotation keyframes? (I think I'm using keyframes correctly).
2. Making the images stop-motiony and not smooth.
My question is... any suggestions on how to re-create the wiggle effect easily in Premiere Pro? Or is there away to create the effect in After Effects and then import the image into Premiere Pro and still be able to change the position and timing?
Please help! My deadline is tomorrow by the end of the work day!

I read that... but it doesn't preview the whole thing? It only previews a few seconds and then loops. I tried to figure out how to change the preview settings, but I can't seem to get it to work.

Videos become single frame when exporting iPhoto album

I've gotten the hang of how to organize pix and vids in an "album" and get them renamed. Now I just want to give those renamed reordered photos on discs to other people that will be on Mac and PCs. This apparently means using the "export" feature, as burning an album directly from iPhoto won't produce a disc usable by a PC.
"Exporting" the album succeeded in making a new folder elsewhere on my computer containing all of the images and it preserved their names. However, I noticed all of the Quicktime and AVI files had very small file sizes. When I double click on a .mov file, for example, it opens in Quicktime but it is now only a single frame. Same is true for the avi files.
Any suggestions on another export setting tweak I need to do to get this right?

You shouldn't have to change it to original though. And if it isn't exporting the actual movie, it should show up as a pic, not have the video icon. I lost important footage from hurricane Ike because I was in a hurry, and trusted the app. Then I go to look at the videos in iMovie, and they aren't even recognized. Current should be whatever it is. Currently that was a video, not an image. Sad.

Variable speed with single frame

Hi, I'm animating a PNG file in a FC7 project. The image goes from one side of the screen to the other, and I would like to use the ease controls to smooth the movement, but the program does not allow me to do it in the control + J window. I can do it with a video clip, but not with this single frame animation. Is there a way a can do that?

There is no speed in a still image. Instead, use the Basic Motion control to keyframe the movement. With the clip selected (highlighted in the Timeline and the Canvas window set to Image + Wireframe, right-click on the ending keyframe and choose Ease-In/Ease-Out. Ifr needed, do the same to the beginning keyframe. You can adjust the movement's behavior by manipulating the points along the path. Or, create the movement in Motion, which is actually better suited for such tasks.

IMovie video with single picture

Hi Apple Support!
I'm having a problem with iMovie for a while now. I want to create a video with a song, which has one single picture shown during the whole song, without
the picture zooming in or out. I have tried to import a song and to import a single picture. But everytime I do this, the picture is there for only 6 seconds and it's fading in. I can't find any effect changes or time options. I'm an old windows movie maker user, so maybe this will explain why I still don't understand this problem. Hope anyone can help me out here. Much apreciated.

in your Projects Settings you can switch-off the KenBurns effect as preset for stills.
double click the 'clip'/still in your Project.
Set lemgth to 'whatever' length.
keep in mind, scheme is : min:sec:frames

Making an album with singles of various artists.

I have Googled this query but so far I have not had any luck.
I have a number of singles from various artists bought through amazon mp3 that I would like to merge into one Album of singles. I have changed all their Album names to Singles and ticked the box to make them part of a compilation. I havel also amended track numbers but it has failed to merge them into one album. I now have numerous singles all with the same album name xD
Any tips would be greatly appreciated =/

Change the Album Artist to *Various Artists* and enable the iTunes preference to *Group compilations when browsing*.

Creating Video with single Image and Audio

Hi All,
My requirement is to pass an Image and audio and the expected out put is a like a video which shows the image and plays the background. Can it done in JMF if so how can it be done? Thanks.

I am also trying to do almost the same thing using the JpegToMovieConverter, however I am facing a problem.
Objective: To create a video file which will include the output from webcam and my mic. Also, there are some images. Whenever the user selects an image, then instead of the webcam video, that image should be shown until it is unselected or the user selects some other image.
Problem: I have implemented the mic and webcam streams but
1. I dont understand how would I create a stream from my image, given that the length of stream should be as long as the image is selected.
2. Also, how would I merge the three stream so that the images' stream overwrites the webcam's video stream.

I have an Iphone 4. I have a video I took with the built in camera. Is there a way I can edit it to isolate a part of the video that I can print a single frame?

What you can do is play back the video in the Photos app, then pause it. Tap the screen to make the controls go away. Then you can take a screenshot: Quickly press then release the home and power buttons at the same time.

Better to load videos with AS or place videos on frames?

I don't have the AS3 knowledge required to quickly create a custom menu system to play several videos in an FLVPlayback component or a Netstream object, so I'm relegated to using some of the canned ones, or a 'menu maker'. Trouble is, most,or all of these are set up to use an XML file to set the actions for each menu item, and they are usually limited to gotoandStop, or gotoandPlay. So, I'm looking at using these menus, and simply having an instance of my video player at different frames, each loaded with it's own video, and using the menu to jump to each frame.
What I'm wondering is, what are the ramifications of doing it this way, rather than having one player, and using the menu buttons to dynamically load the FLV's OR MP4's? I've worked hard to try to be able to limit my movies to a single frame and use AS to run everything. This seems like a giant step backward.

It would be wasteful to place video players in every frame for different videos. You make it sound like creating a menu (buttons?) is your problem, so all you really need to know is how to have a button tell an FLVPlayer component to change its source and play a new video instead of using gotoAndPlay/Stop commands. If you look up the FLVPlayback component in the AS3 help documentation, all of its properties, methods, and events are listed and explained, and there are likely examples of how to use the code.

Single frame disappears when compressing with de-interlacing turned on

I'm having trouble with a single frame - showing a lightning flash - disappearing after compression. I've found I need to turn on de-interlacing in the Inspector to avoid bad problems with the interlacing showing on edges when panning sidewards, but since I've turned de-interlacing on, this one frame disappears.
I've tried making it a freeze-frame, held for several seconds. I've tried slowly zooming in on the same frame for several seconds. I've tried putting in compression markers all over it. In all cases, the lightning flash is there in Final Cut Pro, but disappears on compression.
Any suggestions?

I dont have the answer, but rather a similair problem. If you don't mind I will add it to your blog here so hopefully someone can answer both our problems with one solution.
I have been compressing the same FCP sequence several times making only small changes to my sequence each time(adding and deleting certain photos per clients request). Now all of a sudden, one on the photos simply does not show up after being compressed. It renders just fine in FCP and exports to Compressor just fine, but after I compress it, when I play it, the two seconds of the sequence that is supposed to show a certain picture, it is just black.

Slow video down to single frame, pause a few seconds, then speed back up?

I'm working with a video clip where I'd like to show a single frame for a few seconds. I think I can figure out how to slow down the video for a second or two surrounding the desired frame, but I can't figure out how to pause or freeze it at that point.
I'd like it to be fairly smooth on the slowdown, stop, and start up, I'll also have the audio slow down and stop, I think it will be a neat effect.
Any good ideas?

A possibility is to use the Time Remap free filter. Use the default Mode (Variable Speed) and keyframe the Speed control from 100% to 0% on the frame you want still, and back to 100%. You can also use the Smooth contextual command on the 0% keyframe to get a smooth speed change.
What the filter does not do, though, is to change the audio speed...

How to render a video from image sequence with custom frame rate?

Dear all,
For a project i would like to create a video from 47 images with a custom frame rate. To achieve this i take the following steps in Photoshop CS6 extended:
1) File -> Open...
2) Select the first image and select " image sequence ". All images have the same size (1280 x 1261 px) and are numbered correctly.
3) Click open
4) Frame Rate: Custom 3 fps
5) File -> Export -> Render Video... -> Render
6) Play the video with VLC. The video shows a still image of the first image.
If i choose a frame rate of 10 fps, then there is no problem. VLC plays the video as expected.
Is there a other way to create a video from 47 images and choose a custom frame rate? Or what am i doing wrong?
