Making a youtube clip via Quiicktime

unless there is another better vehicle that is.I am using the basic free one.I made two clips of a photo slide show using iMovies, when i pressed share i was given a choice of compression reasons and i chose Web streaming,The resultant file, which was only 5.8 mb, I made a you tube clip from.Unfortunately the quality is very poor,I then made another file using Full Quality compression.This created a .dv file which used about 1.20gb.I am now trying to make You Tube clip with that but the process which at first was slow , has now stopped,I have only 58 mb accounted for.Could someone please advise me , thanks?

should result in a huge file, but under the 2GB barrier..
the huge res allows a 'HQ' playback on YT ...

You do not need to move your cursor much when pressing the mouse button to cause the tab to tear-off/tear-away into a new tab. No "sensitivity" setting that I am aware of. The tab in the new window can be dragged back to the original window.

Do you have Google 2 stage authentication turned on?
If so, you wont't be able to use your normal google password, but will have to instead generate an "application specific" password for the iPad YouTube app in the google security settings section.

The question is in the topic title. I want to post on my wall (or on a friend wall) a YouTube link via my FB app in order to be seen directly through the standard YouTube player (as happens via PC, just to be clear). How to do that? Suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.
There is no supported way to embed a video to Facebook® using the Facebook for BlackBerry application. The only option you have is to post the link which will then take you to YouTube to see the video.

Embed a Youtube clip in Golive

I would like to embed a YouTube clip in my website, in a way that you can see the clip in the site, and only have to click on it to start it working.

Copy the embeddable HTML that YouTube offers on every video it serves and paste it in GoLive's HTML.
If you are not sure where to place it in GoLive, do this:
While in design view, type the phrase "PUT IT HERE" wherever you want the video to appear.
Now switch to source/HTML view in GoLive and locate the phrase "PUT IT HERE". Now replace it with the HTML supplied by YouTube.

The exclamation mark is telling you that iPhoto has broken the file path/link to the original file. Assuming you're using iPhoto 9 or later Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Found the issue. It seems that IMessages requires area code as well for local phone numbers. I never had the area code for local phone numbers with IOS 5 and IOS 6. It always worked before.

That's a tough nut to crack. When you open a new window, unless you are using JavaScript to do it, you really don't have any control over what happens with it. I suppose there *MIGHT* be something you could do with JavaScript to sense when the movie has completed. I'm not sure if that's even possible. But if it is, it would be somehing you would have to resort to JavaScript to accomplish. And that's far beyond the scope of what I'm able to tell you or even what this forum is designed to help with. Whenever I receive an email with a youtube clip attached, when I try to view it on my ipad it now only offers dropbox to open it and it won't open. It says it can't be viewed. I want to be able to open these files the normal way before I had dropbox as dropbox is very frustrating. I can open the clips on the imac without any problems. How do I fix this frustrating thing please?

How to Play iTunes and watch YouTube clip simultaneously?

I am trying to play iTunes in the background and check in YouTube clips at the same time. itunes fades out whenever I play a clip. Anyway to play and watch at the same time? I don't mean play youtube in the backgriund either. I understand there are apps for that.

Since youTube videos have a audio track this will take precedence over your background music. So, no you can't do this.

Capture Now - Making New Master Clips ???

Now i really have a strange thing going on... I am using Capture Now to start an edit session with HDV Footage and it is making NEW Master Clips when there is a stopdown/startup recording on the tape... (a change in setup for a shot)...
I have gone in the User Settings and unclicked all of the stuff dealing with dropframe or timecode breaks with no luck...
Any Help ???

It will make life harder to keep the bin's organized... because i am going to have to view each clip separately -vs- scanning one clip that has all of my b-roll or my uppers / interviews to find the story...
yea i did restart the whole computer and had to reset the capture preferences and such...
I do know about the grief that is associated with timecode breaks in the middle of a shot... dealt with stuff like that in school 7 years ago...

You could compress it by creating a zip file - right click on the file and then select 'Compress' - a zip file will be created. Although when you're compressing a single file the resulting .zip files tends only to be a litlle small than the original.
A much better alternative would be to sign up for dropbox.com - which literally puts a folder on a desktop that syncs with 'the cloud'. Then you can share your files from there (as well as have them available form any browser whereever you are!. It's super easy to use - but really useful!

how are you trying to download the clips? to do this you will need a third party app. since mavericks apple no longer supports the ability to download streaming video.
