Making backups of client's website

Recently I designed, and a freelance colleague produced, a website for a clent of mine. Note: I have very little website production knowledge - my field is print design.
This client (who also has little web use knowledge) uses Macromedia Contribute 3 to update prices and information on the pages.
However, the client has asked that someone keep a backup of the site after it is updated, so that if he messes it up in the next update, we have something recent we can use to revert back to easily.
Is there a way I can use my Mac (running OSX 10.3.8) to take a copy of the HTML for each page to use as a backup?
And if there is, is there Freeware or Shareware software to do it? I do own old copies of Dreamweaver and Fireworks (which only run in Classic) from back in the days I thought I might have time to learn how to use it! Also got Quark, InDesign and all the usual page design stuff if that's any help!

I got a copy of RBrowser Lite, as you suggested (it's about the only one that works in OS 10.3.8!).

OK. It's running, and I've got a window called 'Login Panel' that asks for Host/Url, username and password.
Presumably, the URL is just the www.etc of the site I designed.
The Username and Password would be those that my website guy used to upload the site to the client's server?
Then what?
Sorry to be such a thicky, but I've not had much dealings with the actual workings of this kind of thing. Guess we all have to start learning somewhere!

Unless I misunderstand the question, you can't do what you're asking to do. Apple doesn't allow you to bypass their store and host public apps on a website. The exception is an enterprise app, which requires an Enterprise account with both Apple and Adobe. This type of enterprise app can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development app to several devices and use those for your demo.

"No configured AirPort base stations have been found." I can see the content of the TimeCapsule's drive in finder and Time Machine but it no longer is making backups. Ideas?

Make sure that you have AirPort Utility 6.3.1 installed on your Mac.
AirPort Utility 6.3.1 for Mac - Support - Apple
Then, power off the entire network...all devices...in any order that you want
Wait a minute, then start the modem first and let it run a full minute
Start the next device connected to the modem, which may be your Time Capsule and let it run a minute
Keep starting devices one at a time the same way until the entire network is back up
See if AirPort Utility can "see" the Time Capsule now.
If yes, try another backup. If you encounter an error message, post back with the exact message.

Time Machine gets stuck on 'Making Backup Disk Available'

This has been happening a few days now. Time machine kicks off a backup but it never gets anywhere. It just keeps spinning and saying 'Making Backup Disk Available'
The log says only:
Starting standard backup
Attempting to mount network destination using URL: afp://[email protected]/Jim's%20Time%20Capsule
Mounted network destination using URL: afp://[email protected]/Jim's%20Time%20Capsule
I tried to use Disk Utility to repair the sparsebundle and although it says it needs to be repaired, when I click repair it quickly says it 'Volume Repair Complete' but then gets stuck on ''Updating Boot Support Partitions for the volume as required'. I left it on all night to see if it would ever finish and it never did.
Where do I go from here?

if disk utility can not repair the sparse bundle you can try repairing it with disk warrior or a similar tool. if that does not work either you need to trash the sparse bundle and start backups from scratch. there isn't anything else you can do.

I set up time capsule using a wireless 4g modem. it's been five hours and it still is saying making backup disk available (4.97 GB of 18.52 GB). Can I stop the whole thing, get a ethernet cable and start over to increase the speed of the backup?

Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).
If all else fails, take it to your local Apple Store or Authorized Repair location, they may be able to determine whether the disk is dead.

Not according to the people I have rented from because I asked them. They provided me with a suggestion I simply thought I would get another opinion.
I am not trying to get anything for free I just want more than 24 hours to finish watching a movie on my iPad. If iTunes would give more than 24 hours to finish a movie (like 48???) it would help. I have spend endless hours trying to comunicate with Apple about the issue. Guess what no one cares! I love Apple and my Apple products, I am a very good customer but I think they are over the top on this issue, they have a monopoly.

The scenario we see is:
User navigates on a Marketing website, spots items he/she is interested in and add them to the LOCAL shopping cart (without leaving the current website), after adding many items he/she decides to buy these items buy clicking FINISH, at this moment we add the N items to ATG shopping cart (how??) and redirect the user to ATG's home.
Is that possible?

New version of Firefox loads a client's website incorrectly, when all previous versions have worked.

Our client's website used to have a menu that ran along the top. With the newest update of Firefox, this menu no longer displays. We've tested in all the other major browsers, including 2 older versions of FF and it works fine.
The CMS being used is Exponent CMS.

It seems to work fine now, with no change on our end. Odd.

How do you remove partner as admin use from client's website?

Can any one advice me on how to remove ourselves (partner) as admin from a client's website in V3 so that we would stop receiving all their system emails etc?
On the older admin it was simple case of going to the users section under admin and removing the partner user.

For us its not so much about removing ourselves from User roles - yes, QED - but its more important to have the control and also provide a level of invisibility if needed. BC support can remove us quickly and add us back in, but that means I either have to log a ticket (and in the last 6 months none of my tickets have had responses sooner than 2-3 days! ...so I don't bother any more), OR wait 15-20 minutes in the queue for a live chat plus however long it then takes them to complete.
If we don't have that instant control and one of our resellers, or indeed a client, calls us to make a quick intervention, we'd like the control to add ourselves back in at an instant, do the work and get out again. That is the real need and issue. The fact that BC have removed an option that was useful is certainly not helpful or progress in my opinion.

How to exctract/backup a client certificate from Firefox for Android similar to question #1000240 but for the latest Firefox Beta for Android?

As in #1000240 and in #1032181, I've installed a StartSSL login certificate in my Firefox for Android and having a problem with extracting/backuping it to use with another device/browser.
I'm using the latest Firefox Beta for Android (35.0) at present; the Android version is 4.1.2, my phone model is Sony LT26i (Xperia S), so neither of the aforementioned questions asked at the Mozilla Support website do not contain any solution to the given problem.
Any chance to recover the certificate?
P. S. I haven't rooted my device; if getting a root is the only possible way to recover the certificate, I may consider doing so.

If you know the name and path of the file you can get it using run-as function of adb. See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18471780/android-adb-retrieve-database-using-run-as
If you end up down here you'll need root to be able to navigate the file system. I don't know the file name, though it is likely in your profile folder which can be determined by visiting about:cache in the Firefox address bar. It will be similar to /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox_beta/files/mozilla/$RANDOM.default/

Accessing user's local Time Machine backup on client Mac?

I'm trying to configure a file server with backup for local Macs.
I've set up file sharing, users and groups in Server.app and it works as intended – after logging to the server, users see their home folders and other shared folders where they store their files.
The idea is to use Time Machine backups on the server Mac. I've enabled it on the server and used a separate hard drive. It works well, and I can enter the Time machine from the server.
Now, is it possible for users on client Macs connected to and working on the server volume to access Time Machine backups of their files?

Yes, I'm using OS X Mavericks Server. There's a shared volume "Design Work" where clients keep their files. It's backed up to a separate volume "Backup" via Time Machine. What I would like to do is to let clients access Time Machine backup of their files (stored on "Design Work" volume on the server) without the need to physically go to the server computer. Is that at all possible?
I've tried to follow this instruction but it doesn't seem to work. I can select the shared TM backup from a client via "browse other backup disks" option but I can't see the files on "Design Work" share, just local files.

Really, really disappointed in you Adobe. I have YEARS of forms that I have built for client's websites.

This is getting to cause significant problems for myself and my clients. If you didn't get the user base you wanted it's because you never marketed the product well. Now that I've built over 50 websites with Muse do I need to worry about that rug being pulled out too?

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Backup Email Clients

Is there a fast way to backup the Mail from our Clients on the Mac Os X v10.7 Lion before we update to X Server (Mountain Lion).
We know that when we open Mail we can Export the mailbox for archive, but some clients have over 10 differents mailboxes in there account.
So is there a way to backup the mail from our clients in v10.7 of the Server.
