Making Blue Ray with 2 audio tracks-Have a small dillemma

I just made a 90 min program that consists of 12 short movies (each on their own timeline). Audio trk 1 is 5.1. Audio track 2 is stereo. So far so good. When I made the disk and selected play all. Its starts playing. I switch the audio from Audio trk 1 (5.1) to 2 (stereo). When the first movie is done it switches back to trk 1 (5.1) for the second movie. I do not want that to happen. I want the entire program to be shown in stereo. Any idea what I can do to fix this little issue? Thank you.

Yes, Encore has a similar kind of bug when by default the 5.1 track is played for any fresh stream that is loaded.
Could you post a screen shot of the flowchart to show the navigation?
Meanwhile if you want to start by default with the second audio track, you can specify this either in the disc properties or while linking the individual timeline.
If you specify in the disc properties, then the setting will be applicable to the entire project.
For setting in Disc Properties do this:
Go to the disc Properties Panel and change the Audio to the desired track.
For changing the audio while linking the timeline, do this:
Click on the end action drop down and Go to the specify link and choose the desired audio track:
-Ramesh.

  • Making a CD with audio tracks and a "bonus" video- how to?

    Dear folk,
I have seen this before (notably a Shaggy album from waaaay back but no longer have access to it to study its "breakdown")- a regular audio CD which functions normally in your CD player etc and then, when placed into a DVD player or onto your computer lets you view the video which is on the same disk.
I am looking at getting my daughter's EP of original material done but would like to add a video which I am making as well, in this manner.
Not sure that iTunes IS the right category but I don't use Pro Logic (though I own it and could get someone else to do it, if required)- help please?

OK, thanks to Roger I had good info to take away and now know that mixed mode CDs would possibly evidence issues as in this process the data file (ie the video) would most likely be the first file on the finished CD which would give you that horrible squealing noise as you play it on a conventional CD player but that "enhanced" CDs will burn them (data video and audio tracks) as separate sessions, ensuring that each appliance only need deal with that which it CAN deal with.
Toast will do this but, apparently, so will something called Dragonburn: http://dragon-burn.en.softonic.com/mac
I haven't tested this yet (the audio I need to work with has still to be completed and I have to shoot the video) but hope to report back.
Hope this helps anyone seeking to do something similar.

  • Cs 6 blu-ray with sub menus, only go back to main menu

I have burned a blu-ray with a main menu then sub menus: audio setup, chapters, extras.
(note: they are regular menus NOT pop-up menus and I would rather not do pop-up menus at this time)
when I am playing any of the sub menu content (trailer or making of or picking a chapter button from the chapter menu etc...) and press the menu button on the Blu-Ray player while it plays that content, it goes to the main menu instead of the sub menu.
I checked it in the simulator and it was working perfectly....just as I would expect it to.
each sub menu item (a trailer or making of featurette for example) is set to go back to the sub menu and it's button
    when done playing...and it does.
It just refuses to do that when the menu button on a blu-ray player is used and instead goes to the main menu.
I ran the link checker before building the folders and burning it...no conflicts found.
This seems to be an issue with Encore in general, reading about this here and in
    other forums.
Can Encore simply not create a proper blu-ray disc with sub-menu's you can
return to when the menu button on a remote is pressed?
Do I have to buy BluStreak in order to correct these rather obvious navigation errors?

Let us know what you find.
I think the original poster in the other thread observed that commercial BDs were showing the same behavior.
Even if true, it does not mean that some kind of scripting might not work.
But Encore would not have the option.

  • Best bit rate for blu rays with Toast 11

I'm burning a ProRes422 (uncompressed @ 18GB) movie to blu-ray using Toast 11 Titanium. The maximum bit rate is 9.0 Mbps. Is this sufficient? It seems very low...
Compressor has never worked properly with burning a blu-ray (I know there are more custom settings). I would use this but have had no luck, the blu-ray never burns properly only had luck with Toast.

Thanks for the info, somehow I've had to pay extra for the blu-ray plug in to burn a blu-ray at 26Mbps.
Now I need to figure out why the audio now is 'cracking' on the deeper parts of the soundtrack. The audio is set to PCM 96kHz 24 bit just like the original Pro Res file. In the original it does not 'peak' or 'distort' on the deeper parts of the soundtrack when playing in Quicktime, not sure what is happening to the audio after being burned to blu-ray. I might have to post in Soundtrack to get some feedback, any suggestions?

  • Blu-ray with Progressive 25fps

I have started to use my Canon Legria HF S30 to shoot progressive, which is PsF at 25 fps as I am in PAL land.  I am also using a Sony V1E to shoot 25 fps progressive which is recorded on tape as 50i (I am recapturing this as 1920x1080 Matrox HD I-frame).
Apart from the problem that Premiere thinks these are both actually AVCIntra interlaced, when I have finished my editing, I have a 25 fps timeline.
1080p25 is not Blu-ray legal, so I appear to have two options:
    encode as 1080p24, or
    encode as 1080i25.
Has anyone experience of this, and can offer advice on which alternative is likely to give the best results.

Good thinking!    I have, with one project only, and I am fence sitting!
My TV is a mere 26", and is not full HD, so I was rather hoping that someone making Blu-rays on a larger scale, with superior viewing facilities could comment.

  • Output to Blu-Ray and Audio from Gaming videos.

Just a simple questions, does premiere pro allow output as Blu-Ray. I have a series of home movies, I want to produce as Blue-Ray and all I can find is only DVD publishing.
On another issue, I am trying to create a video of online gaming that I play and the clan I belong to play to promote the clan, I have some footage from Arma 3, War Thunder, however with my Rust game the audio is very slow. How do I correct this,  Would the video resolution affect the audio. I use Bandicam to capture my online gaming footage which is outputted as AVI file.  This plays well in Windows Media Player, Realplayer, and PowerDirector (Does Blu-Ray 3D).  I have been told by quite a few clan members that premiere pro was a good video editing software so I wanted to try and see for myself seeing I have a complete Creative cloud Subscription.
    Video informations is as follows:
    codec MPEG 1   Resolution: 1912 x1060 @ 30fps
Audio is MPEG -1 Layer 2 48000Hz @192 kbps Monophonic
    Codecs are installed.
The audio, almost sound as thought I am speaking in game in slow motions,  I have tried to increase the speed, got as far as 500% which is still too slow.  I am new Premiere Pro.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could assist me with this.

Premiere Pro BY ITSELF will not create DVD or BluRay... you may export files for authoring in EncoreCS6, which is a separate download... go to the bottom of page #5 at The PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/message/2276578 for more information on using PProCC with EncoreCS6

  • Best export format for encoding & burning Blu-ray with toast?

    Hi!
Have a 1 hour and fifteen minutes program which I burn to Blu-Ray with Toast 10/HD. The problem is the time it takes, about 25 hours. Is this resonable really?
    Maybe it´s depending on the format I put out from Final Cut - H.264, 1920 x 1080 (1888 x 1062)Stereo (L R), 48,000 kHz
Does anyone know if there is a better export setting in Final Cut to get the process work faster in Toast?
    Best / Urban

I've never used toast to burn a BluRay however I have used encore and I export 10 bit uncompressed out of FCP and compress that. If your over an hour of program you'll have to scale back the data rate to make it fit, a 90 minute feature looks good content wise, but any text on it will show signs of the reduced data rate. the encode typically takes about 8 hours to build the disk image on an 8 core mac then about 45 minutes to burn from the image. I burn first to a rewritable in case of issues, then if it passes muster I'll burn the master

  • Problems with audio tracks

Happily pressing on with my first project when problems arose with audio tracks. Suddenly - when I added video clips I got sound on A2 but nothing showing on A1 (and sound only from right hand speaker). Clips are okay as sound is on both sides when played in Viewer and Canvas just can't add them both to timeline. It was okay up until the point I did my first audio fades within a clip (using the 'elastic bands'). Now I can't even insert a clip with both tracks ahead of that point. A1 just won't accept anything.
Now when I add a clip I only get audio on A3!!!!
Voiceovers all went onto A6 and are okay but is it normal for them to hide down there?
I am sure this is finger trouble on my part as I am so new to FCE but can anyone tell me how to recover?
    Thanks,
    Tom.

Sounds to me like the audio targeting is amiss somewhere.
In the audio tracks you will notice a1 & A1: meaning audio track 1 and the audio will go to that track when edited. To get stereo, two tracks will be used eg. a2 & A2. Having A1 and A2 is FCEs default setting with a1 & a2 selected. This setting will place stereo audio into these default tracks. If, for example, you want the tracks to be edited to A5 & A6 then you move the a1 to a5 and a2 to A6 (click and drag). This is called track targeting for obvious reasons, untill you change it, all new edited tracks go to tracks 5 & 6.
Click on a1 twice, did you notice it move and seperate from A1, this is a de-selected state (a gap between a1 & A1). When a clip is edited to A1 in this state it means no audio will be added to that track. Most likely you have an unlinked audio track. I hope this brief bit of info helps you figure out what audio ends up where in the Timeline.
Regarding recovery, you could try the AutoSave Vault. Go back to a date and time that is before things went wrong and open that project.

  • All audio tracks have same waveform in cs5

    Dear Friends,
When i import 1080p AVI with 8 different audio tracks in Premier CS5 all my audio tracks have save waveform as that of track no 1. I mean all tracks looks the same though they are different as 5.1 and stereo.
Please help and advice. Thanking You.

I really have no idea what you are doing or what your signal routing looks like, nor do I know how experienced you are with audio software and signal routings in general. What I now think you mean is that you can't monitor your input properly, you cannot hear the signal of the mic? Is that right? Or how did you arrive to the conclusion that none of your plugins work on audio tracks? Have you actually put an audio file on your audio track?
If you want to hear your input +processed through Logics' plugins,+ you need to enable Software Monitoring - just add its button (with a 'muted speaker' icon) to the transport by rightclicking the transport and ticking *Software Monitoring* on the list. Button grey=off, button green with dot in it=on.
Of course the channel strip/track you receive the input on should also have an output selected, or you will never hear anything.

  • FCS3- working blue-ray with surround sound ?

Hi, I'm trying to solve the problem with surround and Blue-ray.
*Could anyone confirm that FCS3 can output working Blue-Ray with 5.1 Surround Sound, please?*
The surround sound is really important for me, I am able to make Blue-ray now via Toast, but it converts the surround to stero). As soon someone confirms it works, I'm going to upgrade... Thanks!

The only things I noted when I made my first own test, was that even though my FCP7 timeline was set properly to output the 6 channels, when I went to compressor 3.5 to produce both the H264 and the AC3 (with 6 channels), after the Blu ray disk was burnt, the audio was not playing correctly.
I fixed the problem by going from FCP7 to Compressor using the new function called "send to compressor", instead of using a self contained QT movie (which is my usual workflow).
In this specific case I found that it solved my problem and my second attempt to produce the Blu ray disk was ok, the audio played as expected on my Dolby receiver.
    Regards,
    Armando.

  • Blue ray with old TV

I just bought a DYNEX blue ray player.  I have a  Hitachi Ultrascan HD TV. It is about 10 -12 years old. It has S-video hook ups  I bought HDMI cables  but there is no place for them so I used the 3 cables that worked on my old VCR.   I could get the sound to work but no picture. Is this TV to old to use the player with? Is there something I could use to make this work?

Your TV *IS NOT* an HD TV.  S-video is an analog connection, and can deliver *ONLY* standard definition pictures.  Even if you could connect the blu-ray player, your picture woiuld only be standard def.  You would *NOT* get 1080p, or 720p, or even 480p.  The best your old TV can show is 480i (interlaced).

No, it will be a one use only code. Copy the file onto a memory stick and import it into your library at home later.

  • Audio and video out of sync making blu Ray

I am trying to make a blu ray dvd, and I'm having an issue. I have edited in Adobe premiere @ 1280x720 with a frame rate of 2997. I am then sending it to media encoder and using a 720 h264 blu Ray setting. There is no option for 2997 with these specs so I use 5994. My end result is that the audio starts drifting and end up being much shorter than the video. It's 3hrs long and I need this in sync! Please help.

I'm not really too surprised this is happening, as frame rate changes can cause serious problems.
I'm assuming you are in the USA here given the frame rate of 29.97 - but you do not say if your footage is progressive scan or interlaced, or what audio codec you are using.
What I would do is conform your video to one of the following BD-legal resolutions of  59.94p, 50p, 24p and 23.976p before you transcode to H264.
If you are running interlaced at 29.97 - as I suspect - then you must de-interlace & render to an interim resolution at one of the above and check your audio there before trying to both frame rate convert, deinterlace & compress all in one pass - this is never going to give ideal results.
My apologies if I come across as a grumpy old sod -- this is unintentional.
