Making Dependent information mandatory in Oracle Advanced Benefit Options

Hi,
If employee select Employee + Spouse option through SSHR, system should ask him to select spouse from available dependents. This has to be at option level.
Where this is setup?

Sandip

Navigation:
1. Employee self service
2. Benefits
3. Update Benefits
4. Select Employee + Spouse option
5. Next
6. He should be able to select spouse from existing list of dependents and he must select it as for this is option, selecting spouse is manatory(Business requirement)
7. Submit the request.
Basically for particular option, dependent selection should be required. I checked in the system. There is dependent designation at plan level. That was not working as per my requirement. I want it at option level. If I select spouse, system should ask for marriage certificate and she should not get enrollmed till certificate is provided.
Hope I am clear!
Please ask if more detail is required.

  • EBS R12.1 with Oracle Advance Security option  - is it certified ?

    Hi,
    Environment details are below:
    EBS R12.1.1
    Oracle database version is 10g R2 (10.2.0.4) .
    OS is Solaris 10
We are looking for an option of implementing Oracle advanced security option (ASO) .But want to know if its certified with EBS R12.1.1 / 10g R2 database.
I checked few links but I'm not clear if its certified.
    http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2008/07/10gr2_10204_certified_with_apps_11i.html
from the above link i understand its certified on 11i (11.5.10 CU2 only)
    <<Advanced Security Option / Advanced Networking Option (ASO / ANO) (11.5.10.CU2 only)>>
Dees anyone know about this certification. If you have any pointers please let me know.
    Thanks for your time.
    Note : ASO is certified with 11g database. 11gR1 but I'm looking for 10g R2 (10.2.0.4)

  • Oracle Advanced Networking Option with Linux

I want to set up a linux client that works with an Solaris based Oracle 8i EE server using an encrypted connection.
I have successfully done this with NT clients. However the Linux client responds an "ORA-12657: No algorithms installed"
Isn't Oracles Advanced Networking Option available for Linux?
If it is, how do I install it?

Check to see if ANO is linked in with SQL*Plus by running the following:
    cd to oracle_home/bin
    adapters sqlplus
If after running the adapters command and ANO does not show as being linked in,
    perform the following:
    1. Change directorys to oracle home/sqlplus/lib
    2. Run the following unix command to relink SQL*Plus:
    make -F ins_sqlplus.mk install
    3. Change to oracle home/bin directory.
    4. Re-run "adapters sqlplus" to verify that ANO is now linked in.

  • Oracle Advanced Compression Option - Effect On RMAN Backup

My client is interested in introducing Oracle's Advanced Compression capabilities into their 11g landscape. My questions are related to the effects RMAN Compression has on backup infrastructures. I need to understand the impact/reduction in Data Domain or tape that can be expected.
    1. What has been the experience with implementing RMAN Compression? Are there any lessons learned you can share?
    2. There are three levels of compression -- LOW, MEDIUM & HIGH. What compression ratios have you seen for any/all of these levels?
    3. Have you experienced any effects on server performance or any impact on database and backup functionality, when RMAN Compression is running?
I would appreciate any insights you can share.

Our main purpose for buying this option was OLTP compression. Just by this you can save tons of space(ofcourse it depends upon the type of data).
With RMAN , in maximum compression mode ,your CPU usage will go high so make sure not to schedule the backup with heavy activities on the database.
    Page 10- 14 will help.

  • Oracle Advanced Seucirty option on Solaris

    Hi,
I have just installed Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 Enterprise edition on Solaris 10 and from OUI "installed product" report, I see that I have OAS and all the necessary products (i.e. SSL...) installed but when I run netmgr -> Oracle Net Configuration -> Local -> Profile, I do not see an option in the drop down menu with regards to OAS! Have I missed anything or do I need any particular licensing that I am not aware of? If so, how I can get OAS to work?
    Thank you

  • Is it possible to perform network data encryption between Oracle 11g databases without the advance security option?

Is it possible to perform network data encryption between Oracle 11g databases without the advance security option?
We are not licensed for the Oracle Advanced Security Option and I have been tasked to use Oracle Network Data Encryption in order to encryption network traffic between Oracle instances that reside on remote servers. From what I have read and my prior understanding this is not possible without ASO. Can someone confirm or disprove my research, thanks.

    Hi, Srini Chavali-Oracle
As for http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/advanced-security/advanced-security-ds-12c-1898873.pdf?ssSourceSiteId… ASO is mentioned as TDE and Redacting Sensitive Data to Display. Network encryption is excluded.
As for Network Encryption - Oracle FAQ (of course this is not Oracle official) "Since June 2013, Net Encryption is now licensed with Oracle Enterprise Edition and doesn't require Oracle Advanced Security Option." Could you clarify this? Thanks.

  • License costs?... R Enterprise (but no Oracle Advanced Analytics)

We use R and R Studio, and understandably, it doesn't handle large data sets very well.
As R is open source and free, I was wondering if Oracle R Enterprise was also free, however, I see this article in PC World (http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/249509/oracle_stakes_claim_in_r_with_advanced_analytics_launch.html) which seems to indicate it isn't.
Is someone able to confirm the pricing on this? We haven't (and don't want) the Oracle Advanced Analytics (with Data Mining, Hadoop, etc) software. We are just looking to move to R Enterprise. Is this possible (without cost?)

R is an open-source software environment for statistical computing and graphics that can be downloaded for free from CRAN: http://cran.r-project.org. Oracle R Enterprise and Oracle Data Mining comprise the Oracle Advanced Analytics option for Oracle Database 11g R2. The price for this option is $23,000 per CPU.
The pricing for Oracle R Connector for Hadoop, bundled with the Big Data Connectors, is $2000 per CPU.
The Oracle R Distribution: http://public-yum.oracle.com/repo/EnterpriseLinux/EL5/addons/x86_64/ is offered as a free download from Oracle, and is supported for Oracle Big Data Appliance and Oracle R Enterprise customers.

  • Advanced Networking Option over Win2K

I had high hopes for getting Oracle's Kerberos working over Win2K seamlessly, but the Oracle Advanced Networking Option only had information on using Kerberos over UNIX. With Win2K it wasn't apparent where even to begin. I have Enterprise 8i installed and a licensed Advanced Networking CD which I installed on both client and server, but I don't know where to begin to configure Kerberos for Oracle over Win2K. Anybody out there doing this?

Oracle8 for Linux is at the moment avlaible only in the standard
version. To use the andvanced networking option you need
the Enterprise Edition or Oracle8i. At the moment these products
aren't available for Linux. You'll have to wait for their release.

Thanks in advanced. If you're writing your own partner application, then you are correct to get the user information from the output variables
from the parse_url_cookie procedure. You should then set the information you want to keep track of in the cookie, or combination
of cookie and persistent storage in the database. Take care of the security implications while doing this.
On subsequent calls to your application, the user info should be obtained from the cookie and the database, if you
are using a combination of the cookie and database storage to keep your info.
The owa_cookie.get routine is used to read the cookie, which is generated with owa_cookie.send.
These routines work fine, when invoked correctly.
If you are having trouble with them, you're probably not using the calls properly.
The following code provides an example of how to use the owa_cookie calls...
    create or replace package testcookie

  • MAKING PROFIT CENTRE MANDATORY FIELD IN ECC 6.00 AFTER GOLIVE

Can we activate the Profit centre mandatory field for all the entries after the system gone live?.   The details are as under:
    1.     System : ECC 6.00
    2.     Document splitting activated without making Profit Centre Mandatory field.
If we are going to activate now, system is throwing a very strong message of Data Inconsistency and informing us not to change the settings now.
Is there any other way where in we can make Profit Centre a mandatory field.
Appreciate if any one  who  worked on this / has knowledge on this please revert back on the solution.

    Hi
You should raise an OSS message and take SAP's support...
If you add any new dimension now, all the previous docs where PC was not populated would throw an error during clearing, payments, etc
You might be having PC as a doc spliting char already, but if you did not make it mandatory, then chances are that some docs might have been posted w/o PC

  • Is there any way to find out the dependency information for column of view?

Does Oracle provide some view / table / pl/sql pkgs to find out the dependency information for column of view ?
For example, there are two table mytable1 (col1 varchar2(10), col2 date) & mytable2 (col1 varchar2(10), qty int), and there is one view myView as
    select mytable1.col1, col2, qty from mytable1 inner join mytable2 on mytable1.col1 = mytable2.col
Can I get some information such as myView.col1 is come from mytable1.col, myView.col2 is come from mytable1.col2, myView.qty is come from mytable2.qty
    ?

I can get the information about the columns list in table/view from ALL_TAB_COLUMNS table, but I wish to know the column in the view is come from which original table's column.
Is there any way to find it out from Oracle meta data / through any PL/SQL packages ?

  • How to find the dependency information for views?

    Hi All,
There is reuirement where in we have to find the dependency information for all the tables which are used in particular view...along with remote database connections.. For this we have tried to use following query..
    Select * from user_dependencies
    start with name =’SAMPLE_VIEW’
    connect by prior trim(referenced_name)=trim(name);
The view consists of three tables :
    Create view sample_view as
    select t1.col1,
    T2.col2,
    T3.col3,
    From
    Table1,
    Table2@prd1,
    Table3@prd2
    Where
    T1.col5=t2.col5
    And T1.col5=t3.col5;
    But the ouptut is :
    name     Type     Reference_name     Reference_type     Reference_link_name
    sample_view     View     Table1     Table     null
So what will be the magic query which will give the all the tables in the view sample_view??
    Desired result:
    name     Type     Reference_name     Reference_type     Reference_link_name
    sample_view     View     Table1     Table     null
    sample_view     View     Table2     Table     prd1
    sample_view     View     Table3     Table     prd2
    Thanks all in Advance!!

    Thanks all for the help!!
So right now, inorder to find the dependency informations for views there is no direct query :(
As per the michaels post, i have developed some query ....just joining the table....which will give the source code of the object... :)
    The query is :
    select view_name,db_link,owner, substr(to_char(text),instr(to_char(text),'.',1,2),instr(to_char(db_link),'@')) as _Final_result_,
    substr(to_char(text),instr(to_char(text),'.',1,2),20),text from (
    select a.view_name,b.owner,a.db_link,dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('VIEW', a.view_name) text
    from (
    select view_name, db_link
      from (select view_name, dbms_metadata.get_ddl ('VIEW', view_name) text
              from user_views ),
           user_db_links
    where upper (text) like '%@' || nvl (substr (db_link, 1, instr (db_link, '.') - 1), db_link) || '%' ) A,
    all_views B
    where
    A.view_name=b.view_name
and b.view_name='VW_TESTING') The sampe view is :
    create or replace view VW_TESTING
    as select A.F_DRUG_SKEY,B.F_DRUG_ID
    from dma_info.MORE_SOME_FTF_DRUG@info A,dms_prf.MORE_SOME_FTF_DRUG_FACTOR@info B
    where a.F_DRUG_ID=b.F_DRUG_ID and
rownum<=5 The output of these query is :
    Final_result
MORE_SOME_FTF_DRUG@info A,dms_prf.MORE_SOME_FTF_DRUG_FACTOR@info B where .F_DRUG_ID=b.F_DRUG_ID and rownum<=5 In short through source code, I am trying to find those object name which are preceding the "@' sign...please let me know if this can be workaround for finding the dependencies of objects in view... :(
    Thanks!!
