Making Employment status field editable in Actions infotype

Hi All,
Can we make the Employment status or Customer specific status editable in Actions Infotype 0000?
I tried doing that in 'Change Screen modification' in IMG, but it isn't working.
Please provide your inputs.

It is not possile to do it.
Each action is assigned the three status indicators STAT1 (customer defined), STAT2 (employment), STAT3 (special payment) in the customizing system.
When a personnel action record is created, the system automatically fills the Customer defined, Employment and Special payment fields if the action affects the employee's status.
The first record of the Actions infotype is assigned the status specified in the customizing system. All other records
have the same status indicator as the new personnel action if this is not BLANK in the customizing system.

This applies to all three indicators.
Can you let us know the business need or requirement to do it??

Hi,
Normally the Employment status is greyed out and not editable when we are running Personnel actions . It defaults Active, Inactive , Withdrawn as per the settings that we have made.
Is there a standard way that this field is editable when we are running the Action , for eg. org reassignment. ..

This is not the standard practice from SAP to make the field Employement Status as editable. the value is configured when you configure the personal actions in Table T529A

Making q0167-iminc field blank of IT0167 infotype

Hi,
I got a requirement to make the field (q0167-iminc) of infotype IT0167 blank on certain conditions (if the employee has domestic partner who is tax in-dependednt, which is in IT0021).
Pls get back to me how we can do it.
Some how i got BAdi PBEN0008. I need hw we can put this logic to make the filed blank.

Yeah I agree those are screen fields, thats wt how should we make the screen field blank.
While creating IT0167, it should check iin IT0021 if employee has domestic partner and tax status check box is checked then in IT067 -iminc field should become blank,
I just want to this can be handle thru user exit/BADi or in other way to control this screen field.
I do not Dynamic actions, can we do it thru that?? i am not sure..

Making the Asset field editable in MIGO

Hi,
I need a help in MIGO transaction. If you do a GR against a PO with type ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT = A (asset), that is , if in EKPO table the record of that PO contains a value EKPO-KNTTP = A, in the MIGO screen you find a field "Asset", in the Genral TAB of line Item Data. Can please tell me how to make that field editable?

Hello Anid,
You need to make setting for the account assignment category "A" in the SPRO mode
SPRO -> Mat mangt -> Purchsing -> Account assignment - > Maintain account assignment categor
Select the line item with "A", click on Detail and flag mark "Acct assignment changable"

Making GL Account field editable during Approval Process

Hi Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0 and using process controlled workflow.
As a business requirent,we want the GL account field to be editable during the approval process i.e during approval process,approve wants to change the GL account in the shopping cart as the GL account may not be correctly entered.
Is it possible to make the GL account field editable during approval process?if Yes,please share how it can be done.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Level Type: There are 3 possible entries. Approval with completion, Approval and Automatic. Within
a completion step the document can be changed by the approver if the u2018Changeableu2019 flag is set.
Within the approval phase, the document can only be approved or rejected but not changed. It is not
possible to mix the two phases of completion and approval. The completion phase is always before
the approval phase. The automatic step is a final means of validating the approval process, and to
verify that at least one step was returned without any error (example: event 0EV999). Depending on
the task ID assigned to the automatic step, the document will then be either approved or rejected.

Making certain DIR fields editable even when the DIR is in locked status(S)

Is it possible to make certain fields in the DIR editable even though the DIR status is locked (S)?
I guess it can't be done through customising. We've made a suggestion that the users should change the status so that the document will become editable again.
But they would like to edit certain fields, i.e. description and lab/office only. The rest of the fields and data should remain locked. Can this be achieved through a user-exit somehow?

Dear Kenneth,
as far as I know this is not working because due to the locked status type the field are disabled by the system. So to avoid this the whole checking logic would have to be changed.

Making a single field editable with certain conditions

Hi,
The only way is put the "condition" in a calculated field. Create one more applet (clone of the read only applet). Make all the other fields read only at "applet level" and leave the one field as editable. Use the calculated field to toggle the cloned applet. Thats it. Any query revert back.

I have two standard fields VBRP-KOSTL (Cost Center) and VBRP-PRCTR (Profit Center) in transaction VF01(Create billing document) that I want to make editable. Can anyone give me detailed step on how to achieve this?

You can do this by maintaining trasaction variant in SHD0. You would have options to make a field display only, required entry, optional entry, supress.

In the SAP Reference IMG, you can create transaction variants. Choose Basis Components -> Application Personalization -> Tailoring of Application Transactions -> Configure Transaction-Related Display Values for Fields (Transaction SHD0). Transaction variants allow you to preset values for fields in a transaction, set field attributes, or hide entire screens.
To execute a transaction variant, you define a variant transaction using the Transaction Maintenance transaction (SE93).
Once you have entered a transaction code and short description, choose transaction type Transaction with variant (Variant transaction).
To define a variant, enter the name of the transaction and the name of the variant. You can then use the new transaction code to start the special variant of the transaction.

Problem with Employment Status in Actions Infotype (0000)

Hi All
I am trying to upload the Pernr details for Actions (0000) Infotype in PA30.
I am facing a strange issue, where even though i am passing '1' (INACTIVE) to the employment status (STAT2)field, it still takes the status as '3' (ACTIVE). Also, even though i am not passing anything to the Special Payment (STAT3) field, it still takes it as '1' (Standard Wage Type). What may be the reason for this?
I am using the BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT for HR Master Upload and here are the values i am passing to the BAPIHR0000 table:
w_bapihr0000-obj_id = '00002400'.
w_bapihr0000-infotype = '0000'.
w_bapihr0000-to_date = '99991231'.
w_bapihr0000-from_date = sy-datum.
w_bapihr0000-changed_on = sy-datum.
w_bapihr0000-changed_by = sy-uname.
w_bapihr0000-action_type = '01'.
w_bapihr0000-employment_status = '1'.
APPEND w_bapihr0000 TO t_bapihr0000.
CLEAR w_bapihr0000.
And this itab t_bapihr0000 i am passing into the BAPI.

Action Type 01 u r passing, please check the config ACtions Table, what is the Status Maintained for that Actin Type.

Normally we run LSMW in 2 runs
1)Initial Conversion'
2)Final conversion
Set external number range.
In Initial Conversion--IT0000,0001 and 0002 will be covered .
Under this the whole population of the organisation is hired(which means active).
In current conversion--IT0000,0001 and 0002 will be covered .(u may choose to load wid history or only current records valid as on 31129999 from the legacy)
Otheractions apart from from normal hiring will be covered(so the employee status can be anything)
After the Initial load the number range is set to internal with a different range.
Hope this clarifies.

how do we add new employment status in action info type 0000?
As we all know right now we have Active, Inactive, Retire, Withdrawn.....reguirement with my client is to add a new on onleave.

Create a new action - called "OnLeave (with Pay) " use the status - Active and if required create another action OnLeave (Without pay) with inactive status.
Its not required to create new status.If required you explore the STAT3 or STAT1. Recommended to use the standard employement status - STAT2 or max you can go for STAT3.
As per best practice, I recommend you to create another action called - Reporting back from Leave.

Making selective fields editable in adobe form [using web dynpro]

I have displayed an adobe form using web dynpro application. But I have to make certain fields (not all fields) on this adobe form editable. I dont want to make this adobe form interactive because I dont have to save any data in database. The data entered in the editable fields will be saved as a pdf.
What I did so far:
1) The fields which I want as editable, I have given there type as "User entered/ optional" & for rest of the fields I have given type as "Read only".
2) In web dynpro, I have enabled the adobe
3) This is not making the fields editable.
4) If I write the following code in my webdynpro method WDDOMODIFYVIEW, then my data coming from adobe is not getting displayed even though the fields get selectively editable.

*LR_METHOD_HANDLER ?= LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM->_METHOD_HANDLER.
*LR_METHOD_HANDLER->SET_LEGACY_EDITING_ENABLED( abap_true ).
So I kept this code & I also kept the Interface type "ABAP Dictionary based".
Additionally in Webdynpro, I used adobe form generated FM to get the adobe content & passed it to the "content" parameter of my adobe component in webdynpro.

P0000-STAT1 (Customer Specific Status) field on Infotype 0000

Hi All,
I have a requirement on Customer specific status field on infotype 0000, Where I should be able to maintain that field through PA40.
As this field is standardly delivered as output field only through SAP I am unable to force that field as input field in module pool.
did any one used this field before as input field in IT0000? I couldn't find OSS note on this issue.
Please let me know if any one has solution on this.

Making Fields editable in ALV

I am displaying the custom table entries in an ALV. i am trying to make the fields in the ALV as editable. All the fields got enabled but only first field is in disabled mode. its type is NUMC. Can i know the reason behind this ?
