Making My iphone Ipod app work.

I have recently acquired an iphone 3gs. However when I sync with itunes the ipod app declares there is no music content. All tyhe contacts and calendar info. syncs. ok. Any ideas how i can nrectify this problem?

Yes - as long as they are compatible with the iOS on the iPad. If the app needs 5.1 on the iPod - you have to be running 5.1 on the iPad as well.
The iPod specific apps will appear in half size on the iPad screen, but can be enlarged by tapping a 2X button that will appear in the corner of the screen. However, the screen image will be pixelated and the resoultion will not be all that great as a result.

Apps work for the ios that you are on. Not the phone unless it is specific to the hardware/software capabilities of a specific iphone.

IPad iPod App working horribly after update

After the update, my ipod app on my ipad 2 has been working horribly. When I click on a song, a different song will play, and when i try to go back a song, it skips and repeats. There is just so many problems. When im listening, a song will come on and then it wont play, even if i press 'pause' then 'play'. Also, all the lyrics that I imputed into iTunes is not showing up on the iPad. My lyrics are there, just not on the ipad and there isnt an option for lyrics selection.
Overall, this update was fine, just many problems with the iPod App.

Yeah, I'm stuck in the same place. Last week the Ipod app crashed on open. I ran the video app and it worked when I played a podcast. After that, the Ipod app then worked. All was well for a while but now NEITHER the iPod app or the Video app will launch successfully. Note sure really what to do this time.
The last time, before I figured out that video fix, a complete restore did not work. Granted, I restored from backup for I don't want to restore as NEW since I have hours invested in inputting data in financial apps that I really don't want to lose by really starting as if it was a new ipad. Sadly, they don't yet have good backup restore options in some of the apps.

ITunes Sync Problems With iPhone & iPod Apps

Since i upgraded my Mbp i started getting this strange problems,
its effecting both iPhones and iPod,
I got a new model MBP so copy my entire itunes collection and sync it with the new mbp,
also copied over the iphone and ipod data (backups)
now everything was fine but the last 2 weeks itunes doesn't let me remove any apps from my iphone or ipod,
if i remove the apps from the phone/ipod and then connect to itunes it will reinstall all the apps,
if i connect to itunes and remove the apps it will some times reinstall or wait till the next time i sync my iphone or ipod and reinstall the same apps,
i have run out of solution to sort this out,
if the apps are deleted this does sort the problems out,
but some of the apps are paid apps, so don't want to loose them,
also if i delete and re-download the apps i still end up with the same problem..
any help on this will be great...

copy entire itunes folder with itunes data files,
remove itunes and completely erase it,
then download a fresh copy of itunes re-install,
and copy the itunes folder back over,
then run the itunes setup,
connect your apple device all should be working fine now...

Find my iPhone(iPod) App problem

My grandkids hid my iPod touch. I used find my iphone app to find it and send an alert. That worked fine (between couch cushions). Now I can't turn the alert off I have clicked "OK" but it still comes back and I can not use the iPod. Can anyone help with Thi? Thanks

We shared the app's itunes app store link on facebook recently. In iPod and iPhone, we can be brought to app store showing our released app by clicking the shared link. However, when we click the shared link in iPad, it did brought us to app store, but it showed an error message instead.
We then tried to change our store location to US, but it showed some error again.
Any help on explaining this confusing issue will be much appreciated. Thank you.

How to sync iphone & ipod app on same computer

My sister is using an iphone and I am using an ipod touch. We each have our own app store account. How can we download and sync each of our own apps on the same computer?

The methods offered are more for music. I dont intend to share apps as I know not all apps are free.
Method 1: Tried. When i go to the application tab on my pc, everything is grey out. I cant select anything or even shuffle the icons on my ipod on the screen.
Method 2: That is using music playlists. Cant do anything with apps.
Method 3: Tried. Again when i go to the app tab, eveything is grey out. Cant move or select anything.

Why won't my iPhone camera app work?

For some odd reason, my camera app isn't working. I closed the app and turned off the power but that didn't make a difference. It sometimes open but it's really glitchy, for example: the screen turns purple (not the whole screen) every time I try to take a pic/video. I did drop my iPhone but I don't think dropping my iPhone damaged it. FaceTime seems to be working fine, it's just the camera app and Snapchat.

Original iphone :ipod not working

i have an iphone 2g and i have never up dated it. i used to have the probles with the tie it took to get on to ipod but now ipod wont even start up at all. if i tap on the icon the screen goes white or goes black then goes back to page 1. i have even tried all the short-cuts like the double click of the hoe button but none so far have worked

Is there something stopping you from upgrading the firmware on the iPhone? I would suggest restoring the iPhone to see if that solves your problems, however you will be forced into upgrading the iPhone to the most recent firmware which is 3.1.3 for the Original iPhone.

Can the iPhone Finder app work for an iPad if I didn't enable 3G

I have an iPad that has 3G, although I didn't activate it. I did, however, install and activate the iPhone finder on it.
My question: Now that I left in in a seat-back on a plane, can I send a "message" to it, even though the 3G isn't active?

Even worse, chances are it was in airplane mode, so there's truly no way to locate it. That really, really *****... It does make sense, but it *****.
And, Apple won't track if somebody else re-registers that serial number. I don't understand why not. The only way it'll get caught is if somebody brings it in for repair. It should be a simple task to alert the owner of a serial number if somebody else registers that same serial number... I've filed a police report with the Sacramento County Sheriff, but don't think that'll really help out.
So to the person who cleaned that plane that took it without turning it in, or the person on the next flight who found it and didn't turn it in, I CURSE you with hardware problems on all your electronic devices for the rest of your life...

Missing seek and speed controls on iPhone "iPod" app

Yesterday I wanted to skip the end of a podcast so I brought up the speed control and clicked it to twice as fast, however just after I did this, the speed control and the line beside it that allows you to seek backwards and forwards in the podcast vanished. This is the same for music I play, so I cant skip forward or back in a song.
I tried ending the application, restarting the phone, I can't see anything under settings for the iPod application. I really dont want to restore the phone for this, but now it's stuck playing on double speed and without the seeking control.
Anyone have any ideas on what I might do?

Hi lirril: Have you tried tapping the album art while the music or podcast is playing? That should bring the "scrub-bar" to the screen.

Does Apple have any plans on making an Iphone app to control Logic Pro like Motu has done for Digital performer? They make it for free which is a HUGE plus!

i was wondering if Apple has any intentions on making an Iphone/Ipad app to remotely control Logic like Motu has for Digital performer. Motu has it available for free which is a huge plus but Id be willing to pay for one if Apple came out with one of its own.Im a little mift as to why it hasnt been done, Im sure they are capable of it.

I've been using Touch.OSC, from Hexler. It is not created by Apple but works like a charm on Logic. I've been using the app for over a year both on my iPad and my iPhone. After updating my 4S to 5.0.1 my iPod app no longer plays my music

Strangest thing, after updating my 4S to 5.0.1, when I turn on my iPod app, and hit play on any of my songs, it shows the play button at the top like it's playing, but no sound at all, I checked volume to ensure it wasn't muted, but thats not the issue. I also updated my iPad 2 to 5.0.1, but the iPod app works fine on that. Any ideas ? Has anyone else had this problem?

Are the songs that you are trying to play grayed out in your playlists?
I had this problem after upgrading to iOS 5, and I found that deleting all the songs from my device and re-syncing them fixed the problem.
To do this:
1. Attach your iOS device (either using the cable or to the same wi-fi network if using iTunes Wi-Fi Sync).
2. Open iTunes, and click on your iOS device.
3. Click on the Music tab.
4. Uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox at the top.
5. When asked, click "Don't Sync Music".
6. Sync the iOS device. Your songs will be removed from the device.
7. Check the "Sync Music" checkbox at the top once again.
8. Sync the iOS device again, and your songs will be re-added.
I don't know why the upgrade made some songs unreadable, but the resync fixed the problem for me (I had to do this for each of my iOS devices after upgrading them all to iOS 5). Fortunately, I only had 1,000 songs, so the resync didn't take forever.
