Making Suggestions for iPad

Does anyone know where one goes to make suggestions for improvements with the iPad? For example I have Pages with some of my templates but I am unable to print from the iPad after I write a document. Since it is wireless I should be able to print from my home network but there is no print feature. I can print from some documents using a third party app but I need to convert the Pages document to a pdf file, email it to my self and then go through a couple of other hurdles before I can print. That should be a pretty easy fix.

How many times does this have to be answered? You can print very easily from your iPad. Just do a simple search or just put 'print' into App Store search. It's not difficult!

  • Suggestions for iPad lap desk?

It is obvious I am going to need some kind of lap desk for my iPad.  I use it a lot for writing, and a lap desk is essential.  There are hundreds of them on
the market.  Does anyone have one they can recommend?

'The Book Seat', while initially designed for books, works perfectly with an iPad or electronic readers.
Amazon in the USA sells them, as well as various retail outlets.
The image below shows the iPad in portrait mode, I prefer mine in Landscape mode.
It can be adjusted to almost any angle, which is more convenient than the fixed angles on many cases.
(disclaimer, this device was invented and designed by my sister)

  • Making ebooks for iPad?

Not sure where to post this. As there is no appropriate category, I guess my question is answered. It is: Has Apple produced an iWeb-like application (for Mac—i.e., simple but reasonably sophisticated) that can put together ebooks for the iPad?
    Did I miss it?

I think it is most unlikely that searchability played any role in the decision to use ePub rather than PDF in iBooks, but if you can find a reference to the contrary someplace I would welcome seeing it.
One fans the flames, the other douses the flames.
In technical terms, for PDF reflowing / reformatting / repurposing it is necessary that structure information for the parts of the page and semantic information for the simple CMAP shaping and the supplementary glyph substitution shaping be preserved.
Advertising PDF as the Internet standard, and advertising PDF archiving from Quartz at the introduction of Mac OS X, Apple at the same time opted not to implement tagged PDF at the introduction of Mac OS X.
John Zimmerer, Color and Imaging Product Manager, launched a PDF User Feedback in 2003. This process was patterned on the ICC User Feedback in 2001 (relayed / reposted to the ColorSync Users List at the time).
The first decision on what to implement in the document model for Mac OS X, and the following decision to on what to implement in the composition model for Mac OS X, compounds the problems of chaotification caused by broken font product published by Adobe and Linotype.
There is a complaint in the Copenhagen business press (Politiken). The complaint concerns the number of press pieces on the iPad (120) compared to competing products (3). Considering that the product cannot be purchased, the complaint is in fact correct.
Adobe is good at spin, too. Jonathan Seybold told the New York Times in 1991 that he would publish in Warnock's viewable PostScript product two years before it was released for review. Seybold saw it as the mission of Seybold Publications to promote the Adobe imaging model.
When I received the review CD for Acrobat Search in September 1994, there was no word of Apple's Portable Digital Document model whereas other page turners were openly demolished on the review CD. At Seybold SF in September 1994, Spindler and Warnock announced the shift from Print, then Distribute to Distribute, then Print alongside Adobe support for Apple QuickTime in the Adobe PDF document model and support for Apple OpenDoc in the Adobe application model, reported by Chief Editor Kurt Wolf in Deutsche Drucker. Perhaps paradoxically, one of the reasons for the ISO 15930 PDF/X family of standard rendering specifications is that Apple QuickTime does not belong in a printing master .

  • Suggestion for iPad 2

    Multitouch + stylus = awesome.
    http://www.polyvore.com/techcombowish/set?id=25938878
    Anyone with me on this?

I don't even get the concept. What's being asks for? You can use a stylus on the iPad now, and the idea of hooking an input pad or slate to the iPad, and using a stylus on that slate, is a total non-starter; there's no cursor on the iPad to control.

  • Suggestion for ipad

Apple doesn't seem to have a suggestion box. Odd. Anyway, here's my suggestion. Obviously its going to have book and magazine reading applications. Scenario: You are reading along happily. Suddenly a character or name of person is mentioned who turns out to be very important. Their defining details were actually dropped into the flow of words some way back without much adumbration. This is a feature of bad writing or clever fiction writing. So you search. If you are reading a book, you use the index. But many books don't have indexes anymore because its so uncool. With computers you have a clumsy "find" function. HOw about a function in which you highlight the word and enact a fast "find backward" command, that quickly takes you back to the last mention and remembers where your original place was and returns you do to it once you have refreshed your memory?
    Onward and upward.

    Ever tried Command+f then Previous?

  • Suggestion for modification in iphone

I would like iphone to read pdf files, and save ebooks in my iphone, for example: student medicine, i like save books in mi pda,

You can read pdf files on the iPhone, if they have been sent to you in an email, or if you look them up in Safari. That is how I refer to the iPhone User guide from the Apple site.
eBooks can be a problem, because sometimes, as is done by my college library, they are downloaded as Windows Media files, and they have specific DRM. They also have an expiration date to them. You check them out just like a library book. They, meaning the particular ones from my libraby, can't be used on an iPod, or iPhone.
I read a post in the past week about someone downloading audio books from CD into iTunes and syncing them. I can't remember it exactly, but if you search the discussions you should find it. Use audiobook as a search topic.
Otherwise, making suggestions for modifications is done through their feedback page, www.apple.com/feedback
    Hope this helps you.

  • I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great

I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works.  Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up.  Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp.  Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp.  Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
    Kep trying.

  • Kid Art for iPad app:  no longer plays the music.  Any suggestions?

Kid Art for iPad app:  no longer has sound?  It used to play a jingle on the home page and make sounds when coping objects into the drawing pad.  Any suggestions please.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but no change.  I have repurchased it on my iPhone and it works correctly but I don't seem to be able to repurchase it on the iPad - it reverts to the original purchase which seems to be faulty.  Help?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings

Working at a newspaper, I'm having difficulty making a presentation made in Indesign and must be transformed in an application for Ipad / IOs.
That occurs in DPS consgigo generate the file .ipa put it nsao install on Device, getting the message "installing" all the time.
If I get the zip file and the xml of the person who generated the folios, as indicating that the DPS?
    grateful

In fact, it is listed in the devices profile file. The problem I see is the steps to production of an APP.
    Made as follows:
My friend created the folios in InDesign (with your login) on another machine. Provided in a shared folder.
I already have the contents of the application. From here, I believe he should publish through the Folio Producer and then I create the Application Builder IOs in DPS app in Title citing the Login ID he used to publish the content.
Hence, I believe that would only make the Download Device and see install  APP.
    Is this the correct sequence?
    Please.

  • Should I always let my iPad 3rd generation die and charge ? Takes almost close to 12 hours for a 100%  charge. Any suggestions ? iPad is over a year old

Should I always let my iPad 3rd generation die and charge ? Takes almost close to 12 hours for a 100%  charge. Any suggestions ? iPad is over a year old and don't want to buy a new one if this problem will continue to happen. Help

Do not let the battery drop to 0%. That is very damaging for a lithium based battery, as in the iPad. Charge at any time, for any amount.

In what way is it related?  Last time i looked 'obsolate' and 'defunct' had distinctly different meanings.

  • Suggestions for new instruments on GarageBand for iPad

Two ideas my friends and I have been talking about is for the next update for GarageBand should definitely include Smart Brass layed out the same way as Smart Strings with different types of ensembles for jazz, concert, etc. Then the same deal for woodwind instruments. There should also be new drums called Marching Equipment. Snares, tenors, bass drums, and crash cymbals to design your own cadences or with brass, even your own drum corp show. Another idea that is a little more far fetched is to making something for dubstep and bass drops. Just some ideas I hope get seen and produced for the next update.

You need to use this route: GarageBand for iOS Feedback.

  • What video converter app for mac would you suggest to convert videos for ipad mini?

Just recently got myself ipad mini and want to fill it up with movies. i have some but they have wrong format. And i don't know which format is the best for ipad mini(

iPad Mini supports .m4v, .mov, .mp4, and some of .avi files with Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) codec.
Generally, you can choose to convert files to MP4 format using utilities like Handbrake, Format Factory, etc. They are all free.
I have get a PS3 and iPad 2 years ago, sometimes I need to convert files to AVI for my PS3, so I choose a professional converter called AppGeeker. (while handbrake only output mkv and mp4 format, and FF reduces amount of quality of video)
    it works marvelosly for me.

  • Book Suggestion for Making the Most of Soundtrack Pro

I have worked with Soundtrack Pro quite a bit but never seem to be able to get the results that I want. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a book or books that would help me make the most of this program? I have problems with removing background noise sometimes I mess around and can get decent results but I feel there are common techniques I could use that I just don't know about. Are there any books that would just give me an overview of ways to make audio sound better? Then I can apply it to SP. I know this is not a tech SP question but I figured someone might have a suggestion

I want to preface this remark by saying that I'm a college prof. who teaches this stuff. I DEMAND that my students join LYNDA.COM for their excellent tutorials on seemingly anything and everything. The SOUNDTRACK PRO series is taught by Larry Jordan, an excellent teacher, and a "Sound" enthusiast. The tariff is only 25 bucks a month, and in two months, you'll be on your way. The best texts go for around 80 bucks, so cancel in two months and you're golden. I also recommend bookmarking parts of the Apple User Manual that are "off the main usage stream." example: Noise Reduction, Page 225, is a common destination for my students.
