How to make the BP Fact Sheet as the default page in the CIC WinClient. What is the config (IMG) path/ transaction code to do this change? Please let me know.

How do you force Pages 4.1 to be the default Pages app?

Is there a way to use Pages 4.1 as the default pages app? I have installed the new Pages and have found it will destroy things in older documents so I don't want to use it. I would like to be able to click on the Pages icon and have it use Pages 4.1. I would like to do this in Numbers as well.

If you take the old pages icon off the doc, grab, lift, bursting cloud of small explosion, its sill around but not the go to program, then take Pages 5.1 icon (is that what you mean? Mavericks is 5.1) down to the doc then that version becomes the default program.
The older version (9) still resides in the iWorks folder in the APPLICATIONS folder/section.
in fact, you can switch back and forth until your totally confussed, back and forth.
Took me a whild to figure that I only want to use 5.1, left 9 alone in the iWorks folder..
I'm only a 1 level, I hope this helps.

How can I change the default page for a book?

I have a book that contains six pages. One of the pages contains the login portlet while the others contain account specific information that a user can only see if they are logged in. Currently, I have the default page set to the login page.
I am attempting to write a backing file for the book that will esentially change the default page for the book to be one of the other pages if the user is already logged in. In effect showing a logged in user their account summary page instead of the login portlet.
I can't seem to find a way to change what page the user is shown with the book and page context classes. I can hide the login page, but this leaves the user looking at a blank page. Unfortunately I can't use entitlements, otherwise this would be easy.
Does anyone know how to "forward" to another page from a backing file?

How do I get Distiller to render other than the default page size

I have double ad I laid out in Illustrator and I need to make a PDF with the Bleed/Trim/Color bars/ETC. In the past I could print to postscript file and run it through distiller, but after distilling, only an 8x11 is created. I've gone into the edit settings and created another preset that has the default page size set to the size I need it, but it seems counterproductive and not what I'm used to. Is there something that I'm missing?
Note: When generating the PS file I've tried selecting both my printer ppd and the device independent option.

Can Reader pick up the Default Page Size of a printer that is not the Windows Default Printer?

We have a web based application that generates PDF documents via Crystal Reports.
We are using Adobe Reader 8
The PDF pages are displayed within an Internet Explorer window where the the users then print the document.
The application is designed so the user only gets one chance to print the document (ie they cant come back and change printer settings if they happen to print the document out incorrectly)
The document needs to be printed on A3 paper, full duplex.
We have a printer set-up decidated to the printing of the documents generated by this application. The default page size of this printer is set of A3.
If we set this dedicated printer as the Windows Default Printer we have no problems at all. The default page size (A3) is picked up and the document is printed correctly.
If any other printer is set as the Windows Default Printer (eg one that has a default page size of A4), the users must obviously select the correct printer from the Print Dialogue Box -however when the user selects the dedicated A3 printer, the page size remains as A4 (page size of the Windows Default Printer). This means the user must remember to change the paper size to A3 each time.
Out users find IT a struggle at the best of times - anything that makes the process simpler is very welcomed!
Is there a way to ensure the default page size of the printer is respected when that printer is not the Windows Default Printer?

We have requriement where we need to change the default page size and margins for WebI, I have change the page size in defaultconfig.xml but don't see any options for Margins, How do I change the default margins?

From what I am finding it doesn't seem to be possible in 3.x, I could be wrong and someone might chime in with a workaround but at least it was added in 4.0

I explain you, I'm trying to set a webservice whith JDeveloper 11g to simulate 3 layers, a computer whit windows system it will be the front end or first layer, and the second computer whit linux system it will be the second( coordination layer) and third layer ((data base layer)), and , my question is this; Jdeveloper has a server aplications like apache ??? where I can set a default page whith a JSP to connect the first layer whit the layer that has installed the linux system.

Your default webpage is called shortcut or why you use this? If I'm not wrong, I think the default page is index.html or you can try to use only *^/*.

With recent update of Firefox, I can no longer set the default page, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page, why?

Why can I no longer set the default page to something else? Every time I open Mozilla Firefox, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page. No matter how many times I do this, it always reverts.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Even when a report has more than one page the print dialog produced by the .net version of CrystalReportViewer sets the default page range to 1 of 1.Is it possible to change that to default to All? Cheers Mike

Yes you can do this. I've done it but cannot remember exactly what page I had to modify. I think it was in the aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers115\js\export.js file. In one of the functions you need to swap the ALL and PAGES variables. Hope this helps.

Question regarding some fields on the default page layout of Leads

Hi Everyone,
I've noticed in the default page layout for Leads that their are fields called 'Owner Account' and 'Channel Manager'. I would like to ask to what those fields are for since they are only 'read-only'. My initial thought was the 'Owner Account' refers to the owner of the account if I associate the lead with an Account and the 'Channel Manager' was to contain the 'Report to' or 'Supervisor' of the users that created the lead but it seems not to be it.

In continuation with Marcin's reply, I would like to suggest you a workaround.
I had a similar requirement wherein I had to merge the output of multiple smartforms into one and either display it or print it.
For this, as Mercin has already suggested, you can call the smartform(in loop) with the get_otf and no_dialog paramaters of the
CONTROL_PARAMS structure (which you pass to the smartform function module call) to 'X' and fetch the output in OTF format
from JOB_OUTPUT_INFO paramater of the function module call.
Being in a loop you would get the OTF for every smartform call inside the loop. Keep appending the OTFDATA field of the
JOB_OUTPUT_INFO structure to that of another JOB_OUTPUT_INFO structure(this will hold the otf for all the smartforms togather) .
Once that has been done for all the smartforms , you will have the OTF output of all the smartforms which you will need to either
display as a print preview or print, for which you can use either the function module SSFDISPLAY_OTF or SSFPRINT_OTF.

Errors displayed on the default page

Hello:
When I launch EM, the default page shows two errors, one below the HOST CPU and the other under Active Sessions:
The one under HOST CPU Says:
Error
Unhandled exception during generation of chart Host CPU.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
The one under Active Sessions says:
Error
Unhandled exception during generation of chart Active Sessions.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
at sun.java2d.loops.DrawLine.locate(DrawLine.java:37)
What do they mean and how do I resolve these?

I have seen such errors before (especially when the CPU was very busy). Log off and log back in.
It should fix the problem. If the error persists, reboot your machine as a last resort.

Making the Default values in Infotypes

I am doing the Infotype 0009 in PA and in that Bank Account number should be mandatory . actually i have two clients 801 and 802 in 801 i wanted Bank Account number as the mandatory filed when i use 0009 and in 802 it should not be a mandatory field. We can do in the screens but when we assign in the screens it is making the Bank Account Number as mandatory in both the clients can any one tell me how to resolve this issue.

eg: if sy-mandt = '801'.
     screen-required = 0.
     else if sy-mandt = '802'.
     screen-required = 1.endif.
