Making the font larger

is there a way to increase the font size on the nano?? I have poor eye sight and I have to kind of squint in order to read the nano screen. It's not as bad ont he regular ipod but even that i would prefer to be larger. Is there a way to make the font size larger or is there some kind of software that can be downloaded to make the font larger? btw, i do not have an ipod yet but am thinking of purchasing one. i have played with them several times at the apple store and the font size is one of the drawbacks.

Unfortunately no. This is the only thing I found to help my tired eyes (a little old timer humor).

  • How do you make the size of the font larger in Contacts on your ipod touch

I'm trying to find out how to make the font size larger in "Contacts". I don't want to have to put eyeglasses on just to be able to see my contacts. There should be a way to make them larger. anyone know how? Thanks in advance.

There is a zoom feature. You can learn about it, including how to activate it, in the manual:

  • Make the font larger in preview

You can press command-+ to increase the size of the PDF. You can also increase the percentage in the circled box in the PDF item's toolbar.

  • Making the font in the output window bigger

You know when you run a console application and you're looking at the output in the output window at the bottom, the typeface is a little small. Is there a way to change that to a bigger font?

I don't think there is a way to make just the font in the log window bigger - but you can increase the size of the font used in JDeveloper by editing the ide.properties file.

  • Why are the fonts displayed larger in Mountain Lion?

    Hi,
I have upgrade a 4 year old (ish) iMac from Snow Lepoard to Mountain Lion, and all my documents now seem to be display the fonts larger post upgrade then they did before the upgrade.
For example I have a spread sheet with an Arial 10 font, the font actully is displaying as something that looks closer to 14 point font.
Any ideas how I get to display the fonts at a normal level?
Oh and whats up with the brightness?  I have it set to zero for the display to be usable :s
    Thanks.
    Gavin

I dont think it is, thats the first thing I checked.  The Resolution is set at, best for builtin display, Ihave tried sitting to the highest setting and to the one below that just to make sure it was actually picking the best resoloution, I might try that again, and load the offending documents and see what happens.
On the other hand the menu, and applications seem to render correctly, the only place I am currenlly sure I am seeing this is at shut down, and with open office.
I will check for an update to open office.
Currently repairing permissions to see if that helps.
    Thanks

  • Making the thumbnail view larger for templates

    Hello -
I was working on my resume last night on Pages (new to mac) and found myself having to click on a template to be able to see the layout, then close it out if I did not like and repeat ad nauseum. Is there a way to make the view of the template larger so that I can determine from the template list which one is preferable? Making the window larger did not accomplish this task.
    thanks

At this time there isn't such a feature.
    You may
_Go to "Provide Pages Feedback" in the "Pages" menu_, describe what you wish.
Then, cross your fingers, and wait _at least_ for iWork'09

  • EVERYTHING is too small in Thunderbird. How do I increase the font size of everything!

It's ridiculous that Thunderbird requires an "add on" download to enable making the font size larger on EVERYTHING in the Thunderbird email program. What is Thunderbird thinking making everything so small you can barely see it?!
There has got to be a better way!!!
Please increase the size of the fonts on your program. (I know I can change the fonts and type style on outgoing emails. That's not the problem I want EVERYTHING LARGER! I want to see what I type in a message the same as my recipient will read it!

Zenos, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I have read those same comments before. In my mind, there shouldn't be an "add on" necessary to change the font size type of the entire interface of Thunderbird if desired. And to have to write "css code?" --- that's ridiculous!
No, I don't care what font and style my RECIPIENTS view my emails --- that's their prerogative. What I want to change is how I see everything on Thunderbird, from the interface to what I'm typing in an email. The font in Thunderbird for everything is so small it's ridiculous, and to not be able to change it is awful. What was/is Mozilla thinking?!
I may just totally bail on Thunderbird for this reason (I was an old Eudora user). With all the complaints I notice, I would think Mozilla would fix this problem in Thunderbird and add the capability to change how the interface is viewed in the Thunderbird program without needing "add ons." I am wary of downloading add-ons since several users have complained about conflicts in other areas of their computer usage.
So here's my plea to Mozilla --- Please fix this problem and make your Thunderbird email interface with larger default fonts!!!

  • How do I change the font size and line height (so font will fit) in my inbox?

In order to make the information containing the source and subject of my incoming e-mails (from Netzero) easier to read, I would like to make the font larger. However, when doing so, the line heights stay the same and the information on each line is vertically compressed. This actually makes it more difficult to read.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    *NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/

  • How to make web pages easier to read?  If I increase the font size web pages look distorted and unusable.  The same goes for mail.  I love the ease of use with a MAC but at 55 I need better sized fonts without distorting the web sites?  Any suggestions?

As you can see I am new to MAC;s so please be  patient with me.

Yes, that made the fonts larger, but I lose viewing the full windows of Safari and Mail, the edges are cut off aand I cannot restore them by click and dragging them fully open again.   I appreciate the quick response, but I still have the same issue of ddistorted webpages and mail.

  • How to increase the font size in list view

I have Aperture open in list view and even tho I have the slider all the way to the right, so the images are larger to see, the actual font size of the various topics in list view has not increased.  I have trouble seeing and need the font size to be made larger.  Within Aperture = don't want to do the change to the whole computer, just to the list view in Aperture.  Thanks.

Aperture does not support to increase the font size.  If you do not want to reduce the resolution of the display to make the fonts larger, you could enable Accessibility and activate a local Zoom.
This way you can zoom in on text, but your images will show in the best possible resolution.
The Accessibility options are activated from the System Preferences > Accessibility.
You can toggle zooming using ⌥⌘8,    zoom in using ⌥⌘=, zoom out using ⌥⌘-  .

JUST PURCHASED A MAC TODAY. LION OS. NEED HELP INCREASING THE SIZE OF THE FONTS ON THE DESKTOP. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A LARGE SCREEN, THE TYPE SIZE IS VERY SMALL. GOING TO WORD AND CHANGING THAT TYPE SIZE IS ALL I HAVE FOUND IN HELP TOPIC.

  • How do I increase the font size of a large document?

Whenever I try to increase the font size of a large document, the text boxes cross their boundaries and mix with each other, or partly disappear at the end of every page. Do I really have to adjunst every text bos in the document or is there a faster way? Im having this issue with adobe acrobat 11 pro

This is not a feasible thing to do. Editing a PDF is a desperate last resort for so many reasons.
Whatever you need to solve, you are unlikely  to solve it in Acrobat. Probably best to export text and remake it.
