Making the French grave and the Euro symbol

On previous Mac computers I've been able to make the euro symbol, using shift/option 2. Now, on a new iMac, using Leopard, I can't find a way to do it. And I've never ever been able to make the grave symbol. I have various printouts of all the different symbols available on the Mac but none of their suggestions for the grave and the euro will work. Can somebody suggest a way around this problem?
Enable "Keyboard Viewer" in the "Input Menu" tab of "International" system preference, and check "Show input menu in menu bar" at the bottom of the window. You can then select "Keyboard Viewer" from the flag in the menu bar. If you press Option, Shift-Option, or Command-Option, you will see the special characters. If an accent shows with a coloured background, it will be put over the next character you type. On my keyboard, Euro is Shift-Option-2 €, accent grave is left of "1". Option-` puts ` over the next character. è à ò ù
I am using the Australian keyboard layout, but interestingly enough, though it's ticked it's greyed out in the system preferences.
If you only have one keyboard checked, the check-mark will be greyed out, since you would have no keyboard if you unchecked it.

How to fix: the drive is in warranty, so contact Seagate for a replacement.
How to recover your data: Do you have backups? (If not, you really, really, should.)
You can try downloading Data Rescue, which will run in trial mode and let you know if the data is recoverable. (You can then choose to purchase the full version if it works for you.) A clicking drive, though, is usually (though not always) a sign that the drive cannot be recovered.

Plug it into your computer and restore it. It is in recovery mode. Anything that was on the phone is already gone. If the pictures and videos were not backed up, then there is no way to retrieve them.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

I did drop it from about 4 and a half foot during the reset so I don't know if that has broken it.

See if placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allo iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore it.
Next try DFU mode.

Problem with either fastestfox or tweaktube with youtube when it starts to download the second page and the second half of the preview panes and so on..(it will download the first 5 or so and the rest ill be blank)

Mac 10.5.8, fire fox, 3.6.12, uninstalled all extensions, reinstalled all extensions, deleted cookies etc, I have continuously also received the message about java script not being installed properly even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled etc.. If I click on the next page instead or using fastestfox to open, it will open no problem!! But fastestfox was great for being fast! any ideas???

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

The IMPDP command create so manay errors. But the EXAMPLE tablespace is transported to the target database successfully. It seems that the transported tablespace is no difference with the source tablespace.
Why create so many errors?
How to avoid these errors?

Short of trying to then reverse-engineer the objects that are in the dump file (I believe Data Pump export files contain some XML representations of DDL in addition to various binary bits, making it potentially possible to try to scan the dump file for the object definitions), I would tend to assume that the export didn't include those type definitions.
Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?
