Making your site have a keyword search

How do I get my site to go to its address just by typing in a
keyword in a browser. For example my site is www.lightingscoop.com,
I want to type in lightingscoop in the address box and have it go
to my site. How do i go about doing this? Most sites work this way,
when i try it i just lists a bunch off possible sites on the
browser but mine isn't even a choice.

What's the next step before making your site "live"

Hi,
I created a website and I wanted to get input on what my next step would be prior to uploading my website to the host server. It's all ready to go live I just figured there's probably some testing and validating I need to do on it to make sure everything is working as it should. So I wanted to know what are those next steps exactly? Are there any resources (ie: a website, etc.) out there on the web that can help me make this as painless as possible? I'm still fairly new to web design so the simpler the better.

How do I make my text centered when making a site have responsive design?

My text can be responsive with screen size in the font automatically adjusting its size when you make the window different sizes and everythng flows nicely. The only problem is that no matter what size the window is, the window only shows a corner of the website, having part of the website cut off, making the viewer scroll right horizontally to read the rest of the text. I am new to responsive design. (I am a college student that haven't taken web design since last year, just to note).
I try to change the padding and margin of where I have my text yet nothing changes and I still have the same problem.
Below is the CSS style for where I have my text located:

You cant have a box width set to 100% and left and right margins set as well as that makes the box wider than 100% which means it's wider than the browser width;
What happens when you remove - margin-left: 260px; and margin-right:300px; from the css selector below?
So you are just left with:

IPhoto Keyword Search Not Functioning Correctly

I'm finally getting around to organizing my 20,000+ photos in iPhoto. I am attaching keywords to the individual pictures and have noticed something very curious: When I go to iPhoto's search box and type in a keyword, often many pictures that are not tagged with that keyword are returned.
For example, I can type in the keyword "sign" and pictures from my wedding are returned as though they contain this keyword. I've double-checked the picture filenames, descriptions, faces, keywords, and places, and nowhere do I see the word "sign" associated with these photos. It happens with other keywords I enter into the search box, too. Totally unrelated photos - sometimes lots of them - are returned, rendering the whole process relatively ineffective.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
TIA for any assistance. I'm frustrated, having spent all this time associating keywords to my photos, only to have the keyword search option not effectively work for me!

I understand why the text search for sign brings up the Surround Sound Signs photos as it's just a text search.
Might be database corruption. Try this: make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Keyword search from Aperture to MobileMe?

Can you have the keyword search function on your MobileMe website if you have uploaded a gallery using Aperture 2.0?

A) It shouldn't be possible to select a folder and then have the option of publishing to Mobile Me, Facebook or Flickr. For me those are all grayed out when I have a folder selected in the sidebar.
B) Are you referring to a project or an album by chance? If so, then you will need to select the photos, in the Browser, before choosing to upload to an online service.

Keyword search Fails

I am using Lightroom on a MacPro.
All of my pics are labeled with keywords.
When I try to search by selecting a keyword from my list on the Right, all images are deleted from the grid view and nothing is found.
I have checked many individual pics to confirm that the keywords are attached.
Any help is greatly appreciated

What does "selecting a keyword from my list on the Right" mean? The complete keyword list is in the panels on the left. Before clicking the keyword do you see an image count. If you do and if you click a keyword and no images appear then some filtering must be active.
For example, if I am in a folder of cloud shots and then Command+click the Portrait keyword I will get no images. The reason is that the Command+click forces a 'in this folder and have this keyword' search.

To make our client site search and display results by google / yahoo or any other search engine what needs to be done?
we kept "meta" tag keywords and description in all our html file and mastheaders.
What we need to do for making our site searchable by search engines ( like yahoo search and google search etc)?
Do we need to register with the search engine sites or search engine will search our site automatically by checking "meta" tags in our web pages.?
All our webpages are in KM.

I havent tried this before, but would like to add my 2 cents to this topic.
I guess you could start by submitting your site to google - http://www.google.com/addurl/
Search engines rely on a lot more than just the meta tags and other header information. I guess Google relies on something called PageRank and also track backs in order to determine the relavance of your site to the search criteria.
You may also search for document related to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but not sure if that would work.

Keyword search able web site with Mobile Me and Aperture?

Is it possible to add feature so photographers can upload keyword search able albums-websites with Mobile Me album using Aperture? Something like the Extensis Portfolio&NetPublish.

You will need a 3rd party web host to upload your websites to. Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
iWeb '09 (3.0.4) you can publish to an FTP Server or a local folder. ( With the built in FTP in iWeb you will end up with an address like "www.YourDomain.com/sitename/Home.html )
iWeb '08 you can publish your website to a local folder

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

2. can you hide audio on your page, so you can hear audio but do not have to see the QT player or press play to start it?

Add the audio track to the page via the Media Browser, go to the Inspector/Quicktime pane and click on AutoPlay. May I suggest also that you set the volume of the audio down to about 20-25% so as not to blow out an unsuspecting visitor who might have their volume turned up high for some other reason. You can do it as seen here:
As long as you don't put an image in the Drag Image Here zone only the control panel will display on the page if you select it to be shown.

Immediately see what versions of sites you have created upon opening your site in Muse

When you open one of your sites in Muse, you go right to the planning screen. My screen defaults to the DESKTOP view. I would love a way that we could see a quick section...maybe split the main screen into thirds from top to bottom where you can see a quick view of your DESKTOP version, your TABLET version and your PHONE version if you have all three created.
I thought of this just now because there was an important link on my client's website that needed changed. I made the change, and then minutes later, I remembered that I had recently also done a TABLET version for my client too and I had completely forgotten about it. So I went back in to Muse, clicked on the TABLET tab and changed the link there as well.
As it is now, the only way I can tell that I have done a different version is because the plus mark is gone before the word on the tab. Even changing the color of the tabs for the versions you HAVE created would maybe help jog someone's memory not to forget to update the other version as well.

Does anyone know how to have Edge Animate objects that utilize "_top" in an open url trigger make the Muse site that they are a part of open a new window/tab with that action (as opposed to having it open the url in the current page, or using "_blank" in the trigger)?

Somewhere my "T" key is set as a keyword and everytime I type a t, I have a blank search open up with a tab. Impossible to use for email.

Is it only T? Does pressing N open a new window, and does R reload the page?
The most likely reason for this is that the CTRL key is held down - see [[Keyboard shortcuts]] for information on what should happen when keys are held down together.
If a key isn't stuck or being held down, an extension could be the cause. See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] to troubleshoot.
