Malfunction Facetime 1.0 Germany

The german 1.0 Version has an malefunction. Theres no way to accept a incoming call, klicking the "annehmen" button does not work.
Sorry that seems for me that no one at apple has tested the version with other language versions.

Switching to English solved my problem, app works fine now.
Tip: You can switch the language of a single app (like FaceTime) to English by using the free tool "language switcher" (http://www.tj-hd.co.uk/en-gb/languageswitcher/).

  • Facetime not connecting - macbook pro germany

I am having problems with using facetime on my macbook pro, OS X Lion 10.7.4, bought in Germany in September 2011.
Facetime opens, the camera works, incoming connections are admitted (within the security settings), facetime contact on the other side sees it try to connect, however, no connection possible.
I heard there might be facetime problems on Macs bought in Germany. Does anybody know anything more detailed on this topic - and has a solution how I can get facetime to run properly? I'd appreciate any help on this, thanks!

i have exactly the same problem except my macbook pro was bought in Dubai. I have set it up as though in the UK and have UK apple I.D. Also the VPN is on but still wont work.

FaceTime has been having problems for a couple of weeks. Apples solution is to make sure both parties have IOS 7.1.1.

Is it free for me to call my family through FaceTime from Germany to the US?

Just a thought, this phone company here charges for every little thing you do. So I started to FaceTime to work around those charges and needed to make sure I was successfully doing that.

  • Facetime in Germany

I just arrived in Germany from U.S. and I can no longer log into FaceTime on both my iPhone4 and MacBook Pro.  It says "server encountered an error processing registration" when I try to log in with valid Apple ID.  The computer time is set correctly (automatically) on both devices.  Any ideas??

I Am from US and I'm visiting Germany. Is FaceTime free internationally?

Free 24/7, anytime, anywhere As long as youre on Wifi. If youre using Cellular data you have to pay for what you use. i.e. get a plan, and if you go over your alloted data you have to pay overages. or if its a pay-per-use type of plan youll have to pay for the Cellular data you use.

  • Why did FaceTime and ability to message someone in Germany stop working this month.

I have been using FT and messaging to contact someone in Germany for over a year. She has iPhone 4. Nothing has changed but now my messages say not delivered and FT says not available. Any idea why?

If FaceTime is say not available that sounds like a problem that needs to be discussed with FaceTime.

  • FaceTime Calling, Germany - UK

This shouldn't be a problem, should it? Trying to FaceTime call my mam, I had her on the phone, we both had FT up and running (could see ourselves), but I couldn't call her: "....not available for FaceTime." She couldn't call me, either... it worked in the UK, fine.
She's on a direct Ethernet connection, I'm on a MBP / Airport... both on 10.6.6.

I've just started to receive messages from this number too and I haven't been out of the country. The contents of the message just appear to be a long string of random characters.
I have spoken with my telephone provider (O2) and they too said that this is a premium number and I will get charged for each message. They told me to reply to the number with a message of 'STOP' and that should prevent any further messages and costs.
I've tried to find contact details for Apple to complain but haven't found one that works.

  • FaceTime chronic malfunction

After I sign on to FaceTime and then confirm my email address and hit "Next," I get this message in red: "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." I've been trying to sign on for a week, and this happens every time.  Does anyone know what's up with this?

  • How can I replace a brand new, but malfunctional iPhone 4?

    Hey, guys.
I am from Russia, and on our recent trip to Munich, Germany we've bought a new iPhone 4 8gb for my wife at the Apple Store. When we got home in a couple of days, I unboxed it, plugged in and proceed to install iOS6 wirelessly. On the next day we went to the carrier office for a local microSIM, and my wife started to use the phone. But suddenly we've discovered that it won't last even a half of a day: while charged up to 100% overnight, it dropped to 80ish in about two hours, and after dinner break it was already way below 30-40 percent only to discharge completely at 5 or 6 pm.
And all this while every 3G, WiFi, BT, geolocation or even cellular data is turned off. She just made a couple of calls, so all other time it was in standby. I saw this myself in the evening, you can hold it in your hand and literally look how battery percentage drops one by one. Also the phone is getting hot while screen is lit and extremely hot when it charges up.
We don't have an Apple store in our country, so I can't get any official support. I can't contact Russian Apple support by phone, because it redirects me to carriers' support and they can't do anything. I didn't find any e-mail address to write to. I started digging this forum and found similar problems in regard of some kind of a bug in iOS 6, as well as some solutions, none of which were working. For instance, I wiped the phone completely, restoring only contacts from icloud and disabling everything power-consuming I could find. Sadly, it didn't help.
So, I decided to give it to local service for some diagnostics. They ran it and results came back: phone is malfunctional because of some serious internal issues like abnormally increased voltage from the battery, bent microboard, slightly melt components and so on. They said it is beyond repair and is only subject for replacement or disassemble for spare parts. All this with a brand new device.
You can imagine my frustration. We don't have any financial means to travel back again just to replace it, nor can we send it over via postage service. The only reasonable solution would be to transfer it back to Germany with a random friend, but I am not sure if it is possible to make a replacement, becuase I've paid for it with credit card and there is my name on the receipt.
So, the question is, what should I do? Is there any way to replace it without my personal presence in the store; can it be done by someone else? And if not, can a friend just give it back, and they would refund it to my credit card? Also, is it mandatory to return it exactly to the same store, or any store in Europe can take it?
I would really appreciate if someone with a silmilar experience would elaborate on the solution. Thanks in advance!

Thanks very much for your reply! I have a Genius Bar appointment today maybe they can test the phone to see if they can determine whether or not it is defective.
    Thanks Again!

  • Messages and FaceTime just won't activate on my iPad Air all of a sudden; tried a LOT of solutions

About two weeks ago, my iPad Air was spontaneously signed out of Messages and FaceTime when I was using it to browse the web while on the bus, connected via Personal Hotspot on my iPhone. Since then, I haven’t been able to sign in to either Messages or FaceTime. I can still sign in to my iCloud account as normal for other things like contact and bookmark syncing. It’s just Messages and FaceTime that refuse to activate.
The error messages I receive vary between the following:
“An error occurred during activation. Try again."
“Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again."
“Verification failed - The connection to iCloud timed out."
“Unable to contact the iMessage server. Try again."
This iPad Air is a replacement from Apple (quite possibly a refurbished one) that I received in November 2014, after the previous model developed a malfunctioning touchscreen in one corner. It’s worth mentioning that my iPhone and Mac are completely unaffected by any issues, and can also be signed in and out of Messages and FaceTime without a hitch.
I’ve tried an awful lot of things in an attempt to get Messages and FaceTime to sign in successfully on the iPad Air, none of which have worked, and many of which I have tried multiple times.[1]
Things I have tried in an attempt to activate Messages and FaceTime
connecting to different wifi in multiple locations (work and home) and Personal Hotspot from iPhone
signing into Messages and FaceTime with different Apple IDs (these won’t activate Messages and FaceTime either)
    wiping iPad with normal restore
    wiping iPad with DFU restore
resetting network settings (both after fresh install and after backup restore)
restoring from an October 2014 backup (still have to sign into Messages and FaceTime, still don’t work)
turning off the automatic timezone setting and setting the date and time manually, even though it was correct anyway
deselecting phone number and @me.com so purely using @icloud.com to sign in
running the activation process through VPN connections via London and New York
changing DNS on wifi to 8.8.8.8
updating to iOS 8.2 beta 4
I would love to hear from anybody who can provide the solution as to why Messages and FaceTime just won’t activate. Apple won't provide free support on this as the iPad is now out of warranty.

  • T60 Battery malfunction

    I bought a Thinkpad T60 notebook (type: 2007 D62, SN# L34G72L) in January 2007 in Hong Kong (Now, I am in Germany).
Yesterday, Oct. 24, 2008, the battery malfunctioned (FRU P/N 92P1137, ASM P/N 92P1138). The indicator light under the screen twinkled continuously. And the battery does not function at all.  The Power Manager shows: “A battery error has occurred. The battery cannot be charged. Replace the battery.”
The battery was used rarely. Power Manager shows only 19 cycles.
Does someone know how to solve this problem?

  • What happened to Facetime registration process?

What has happened to the Facetime and Messages Login on my Mac today?
    Accounts deactivated, Can't reenable them.
Error Message is: server error occurred during process of registration (or similar to that).
Seems that alot of people have problems right?
Sigh. I wish Tim Cook would be more interested in the reliability of Apple's products.
Facetime is a main feature they advertise with... and it is not working... a real shame.

Noticed the error today. In Germany the @googlemail.com email-ending finally changed to @gmail.com so I was able to shorten my email. According to that I changed my AppleID. All verfied. All working. iPad, iPhone, MAS, iTunes. All fine. Messages and Facetime... nope.
I logged out of Messages and Facetime to log in with my new verified AppleID and now everything is gone... **** it. I think Apple has to do alot of work if this idea of a unified AppleID to serve any service they offer shall work.
Today I'm really angry of Apple for this nonsense promlems they give us some days... remember the problems with iCloud when many people had to change the Password to start the IMAP server working with 3rd party email clients. Really... Apple has to remember who Apple was...

  • Facetime opens but the window doesn't appear?

Facetime opens but the window doesn't appear. I am capable of accessing the setting a preferences from the top bar but the window is still not there. The green light for the camera also turns on. I am running mountain lion with the latest updates on a macbook pro with retina display.

Yeah. Apparently there was a hardware malfunction. I took it too the apple store and they replaced the top clamshell. The repairs would have cost around $750 if it wasn't under warranty. I recommend buying AppleCare when you can.

  • Kernel_task is using more than 250% of CPU and My Macbook Pro (13 inch i7 8gb Ram Mid 2012) is getting heated, when ever running Facetime or Games.

When ever i try to use FaceTime or Counter Strike GO my CPU gets more than 250% usage and my mac gets really slow.. This is the same when ever i try to run any middle end applications not extreme ones. Tried googling and apple support communities uninstalled all my 3rd party softwares. any help??

The kernel is using excessive processor cycles. Below is a partial list of causes for this condition.
    Thermal overload
This can be due to accumulation of dust, high ambient temperature, or to the malfunction of a cooling fan or temperature sensor. The kernel tries to compensate by throttling back the CPU's. You might see messages like the following in the Console window:
    SMC::smcHandleInterruptEvent WARNING status=0x0 (0x40 not set) notif=0x0
The timestamps of those messages (if any) indicate the times, since the log was last cleared, when a processor was being throttled because of high temperature.
Note that if the problem is caused by a faulty sensor that reads too high, there may be no actual overheating.
The Apple Hardware Test, though not very reliable, is sometimes able to detect a bad fan or temperature sensor.
    Using Apple Hardware Test
    Encryption
Transferring large amounts of data to or from an encrypted disk image or FileVault volume puts an extra load on the kernel. If both the source and the destination are encrypted, the load may be doubled. If you transfer data from an encrypted disk image on an encrypted partition to another such image on another encrypted partition, the load may be quadrupled.
This issue probably doesn't affect late-model Macs with an Intel i-series, recent Xeon, or later processor. Those processors support hardware-accelerated encryption. You can determine what kind of processor you have by selectingAbout This Mac from the Apple menu in the menu bar.
    Installed software
User-installed software that includes a device driver or other kernel code may thrash the kernel. Some system-monitoring applications, such as "iStat," can also contribute to the problem. You can test for this possibility bycompletely disabling or removing the software according to the developer's instructions, or booting in safe mode (with the shift key held down at the startup chime.) Note, however, that disabling a system modification without removing it or booting in safe mode may not be as easy as you think it is.
    Corrupt NVRAM or SMC data
In some cases the issue has reportedly been resolved by resetting the NVRAM or the SMC.
