Malware in flashlight apps for Android - has anyone confirmed the information

There's a YouTube video warning about malware hidden in popular flashlight apps for Android - has anyone confirmed or debunked this ?? http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q8xz8xKEFvU

I should have been a bit more specific on which 7.7's I am referring to.
Specifically, has anyone with the Verizon branded SCH i815 model received the update? Or has anyone bought or received a refurb tablet from Verizon that had the ICS operating system already running?
It is clear that the other wi fi 7.7's that Samsung sells can be and have been updated by Samsung, but my conversation with Samsung indicated to me that they cannot or will not update the SCH i815 because it is a Verizon specific model.
What I am looking for here is info on the SCH i815 as to whether ANY of them are running ICS and how/where did that occur.

Has anyone lost the information placed in folders in Gmail???

I have had several folders in Mail which contain emails and all of a sudden, there they are....gone. The folders are there but all of the (important) information contained in them is no longer there. How do I retrieve the info??? Please help as this is a huge part of my business.

Try rebuilding the mailbox when they are not showing the correct amount of messages. To do that click on the mailbox and then go to the drop down menu Mailbox > Rebuild to start the process of clearing out any cached messages and then downloading it from Gmail.

I've never used anything other than Flash Builder for mobile... So, yes, cf my original answer!
When you select Export Release Build, it is on the first page of options. (I think ... This is from memory.) In any case, it is very visible. Just look at all the Android options when you package for release.

In Case you hadn't heard --- KINDLE APP FOR ANDROID NOW IN MARKET

That's right. If you haven't already heard seen or downloaded it, the official Kindle App for Android is now available. I have it now and I synced it already and woah. cool. Just glad to have it. With this I can activate on my wife's account and we can share her books and she has my Kobo account on her blackberry. So we now only have to buy books once. I am sooooo Happy. Now for Barnes and Noble and all my bases are covered.
So far I am loving Aldiko for free books they seem to have a broader selection of public domain material than anyone else at least in a useable format.
I love Kobo because it is a fairly well rounded market and soon to expand from what I understand with the agreements with Borders in place. I tend to like open source and platforms that don't lock me in to using one company's device to use all my media. I prefered to use my phones as MP3 Players instead of getting an iPod and I prefer ePub to kindle format because it is available on more devices, even if it apparently means that for some of the less popular technical material I like to read sometimes I have to wait a little longer or specially request it. Just about anything else is available.
Kindle App, because my wife has a Kindle and has bought several books that I want to read but feel **bleep** buying again since she already bought it. I don't like removing DRM's so until Kindle switches to ePub or one of the ePub readers supports Kindle as well what is it azw format. I forget. Then this app is a necessity. Anyway, just thought I would announce it since I don't see a thread for it yet.

No problem. I figured this would get more fanfare than this. I have been waiting for the barnes and noble app as well. I can't understand what is taking so long since the Nook runs Android and it is essentially an app that is on it that allows you to read why not just release it on the market. It would make a lot of people happy. I love Kobo myself but B&N has some stuff you can't get on Kobo.
Lots of good reading apps now on Android B&N is the only biggy still waiting I think.

Can anyone out there recommend a good email app for Android (Fascinate)? I'm currently using K-9, which was pretty good until I added a second email account. The Gmail app works fine, but i get very little mail at that address. I can get my Hotmail mail via K-9 but the mail from my employer's server (the second account) doesn't show up on my phone. It's possible that I set the account up incorrectly. If anyone has any pointers there, I'd appreciate it.

Has anyone tried the Normalizer app? We are looking for something that will normalize job level for us. The only app I have found was the normalizer and a lot of the links on their website don't work and it doesn't look like they have has any activity on their site for over 6 months.

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer. I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system. If this doesn't work, I would suggest you use Microsoft's Malware Removal Tool. You can download it at the link below. Hope this helps.

Adobe mobile apps for Android?

Does anyone know if or when Adobe will develop more mobile apps for Android?
There are so many mobile touch apps for iOS but only a hand full for Android.

I love the idea of a discount for Android users ... we are paying the same subscription fees for far less service. Tweet Adobe...

Adobe Creative Cloud app for Android (preview) compatibility?

HI - I notice that Adobe have released an Adobe Creative Cloud (preview) app for Android. This is very welcome as it would allow me to share files across Windows desktop, Android tablet and, if necessary, iPad.
But it says it isn't compatible with my Hudl2 - why?
Could it be because my tablet is wifi only? (I hope not.)

I also tried through the Market application on the phone but ended-up with the same result.

I would really like to use Firefox on my new Droid (2.0); when with this be available?

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.
Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly by typing this address into your phone's browser: http://bit.ly/fxbeta3
(Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)
