MAM - Counters and Measures for Operator Rounds
Hi everyone,
I would like to use MAM's Counters and Measures delivered functionality for our Operator Rounds. This would involve going out and analyzing equipment's or FL's and entering their measurements as per their measurement list. We also hope it will flag when the entry is out of range and thus would trigger a PM Notification. I have turned on everything with MAM except for counters and measures at this time.
Is anyone considering using the MAM solution for their Operator Rounds or day-to-day checklists?
I apologize if this question is too speceific and does not relate to your industry. We are just having a hard time finding anyone who does this using SAP.....without going 3rd party.

It would help if you could explain your complete settings and the process that you have followed.
If you are referring to inspection rounds generated through maintenance plan or task list directly associated to the order for preventive maintenance,The technical objects are only copied to the order when the enhanced object list functions (OPROL) are inactive (see Customizing under Define Notification and Order Integration). In Other scenario the enhanced object list function should be active.

We have a client from online trading commodity domain. there databases are running in healthy stat.
We on daily basis share with them AWR report of time span 9:30AM to 10:30AM (peak trading hours).
can you suggest what all recommendadtions we can include in this AWR report or how we can study on daily basis this AWR report extracted to mention recommendation to customer.
apart from this what other performance reports we can share with customer which will make cilent view their database stat in terms of performace tunning and all.
We can share daily database checks and all but I am trying to have some good performance end reports which can be extract to share with client??

I have written a few blog posts about AWR analysis (http://savvinov.com/category/awr/) -- some of them may be useful to you. However, AWR reports are not so good for monitoring purposes. Monitoring is about trends -- AWR doesn't have that. Plus, application performance should be measured in its native metrics (KPIs or "key performance indicator"). For instance, for an online shop that would be the number of orders processed, average time it takes to process an order etc. Low level stats such as the number of table scans per unit time or IO stats doesn't really tell whether or not an application is performing satisfactorily.
From the database point of view, a simple overview of the OEM Performance Page should be enough to get a basic idea whether the database is ok.

Without an SLA and/or specific complaints from the user there is little you can do about database performance, except for when something obvious shows up on the report.

Form 2000 and 6i for Operating System Xendros
May i use oracle developer 6i and from 2000 on operating system "Xandros" (linux flavor) or can same product as we use for windows ? ,
i want to use xendros at client side to connect with Database Server on windows nt.

ThanksWell, first of all why you want to go for 2 tier stuff ? You should be using Forms 9i/10g and application server (that is: 3 tier architecture).
The software (that is Developer 2K) would obviously be different for all the platforms just like any other software.
Also give us the details of your setup (server and client machines), so that some other suggestions can be given.

Okay, i missed the 2nd line in your post. So your server is Windows based and you want to use Linux based client to connect to it. If the executables are to be deployed on Windows then you need to compile also on Windows. So compilation of binaries on your client is out of question. You can only develop and make changes sitting on your client machine. Now if there is any version of Forms 6i for Linux ? i am not sure. You need to check.

Counters and Timers for engine speed measurement.

I want to make a simple programme using NI-DAQmx that counts the number of square pulses in a specified amount of time. The input is from an engine speed sensor, that gives a square pulse every rotation.
I wish to find the the number of such pulses in say, 10 seconds, and find the engine speed.
On doing literature survey, I have found out that Sample clock can be used as a counter. There is an option called "Implicit", but it doesn't count the number of square pulses.
In addition, what VI can be used as a timer?
Presently, I am using DAQ Assistant and Time Elapsed VI's for the purpose, but I want to avoid them as they are express VI's. Please suggest.

IIT-MadrasHave you looked at the examples provided with LabVIEW? Those will be a good start. In the example finder, look under Hardware Input and Output -> DAQmx -> Counter Measurements. There are examples for counting pulses, and for measuring frequency (which is approximately what you want to do). The manual for your data acquisition device has information about the different counting options and how to connect the signals. Most likely you want to connect to the counter input, not the sample clock.

Conf operation 10 for GI and 20 for GR

in routing there are two operation 10 and 20 , at the time of confirmation (Co11n) material movement only GI for operation 10 and GR for (101) for operation 20
operation 10 only for GI (261 mvt type)
and operation 20 for GR ( 101)
.i have maintain control key PP01 ( with automatic GR) for operation 10
and for operation 20 control key PP03 ( with auto GR and mile stone confirmation)
when i do confirmation operation 10 material comes for 261 which i have assigned to operation 10.
but when i do operation 20 confirmation co11n and go in material movement does not come any material for GR ( 101)
but requirement is operation 10 for GI and operation 20 for GR
what should i do? how
Note : when i keep one operation 10 in routing all GI and GR ( 261 and 101) materials comes.

Please note that Operation Control Key -PP03 in standard has Auto GR active and it can be used only in the Last Operation in any production order if you want to avoid manual MIGO-101 or want to have Auto Goods Recipt .
In you case , you should not use a control key which has Auto GR active except last operation .I think PP01-Control key doe not have Auto GR active in SAP Standrad and in case if you mark the same , then un-checked that functionality in Define Control Key under Shop floor control .
Now if you want only GI at Operation 10 , then in CA02-Goto Operation -Select BOM compoenet -Hit Re-assing tab on the header and assing all the compoenets only in operation 10 .Make sure that those compoenets should have proper Material amster in MRP3 view Backflash -1-Alawyas active .
Secondly , in the last operation assing Operation control key -PP03 and make sure that it has Auto GR marked in Define Control Key -Shop Fllor Control Paramaters .
Check also in Define Production Scheduling Profile -OPJK-Here Auto GR should be active and same scheduling prfole shoudl be used in Material Master Work Scheduling View of FG.
Now Goto CO11N or CO12-Collective Confriamtion -Enter Order Number -Checks the Goods Movement tab -Here u will fine 261 for operation 10 and 101 for Operation 20 .Check also the Storage location and posting date with FI and MM periods

I'm trying to clarify the basic rules for how base quantities in BOMs and routing operations should be set for use in CIF to generate APO PDS.
- which base quantity appears in the APO PDS; is it the BOM base qty?
- do the BOM base quantitis and routing operation base quantities have to be the same?

The unit of measure for operations in SAP ERP can deviate from the base unit of measure. You have to maintain a conversion factor in this case. During the transfer to SAP APO, the units of measure are converted to the header unit of measure.

The Creative Cloud application becomes inoperable continually on both my Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems. I'm tired of re installing the application after deleting the OOBE file to get updates and syn settings between computers for Photoshop. Is this an endemic problem with others? I'm using Google Chrome as my browser. Is this an issue with the problem?
Similar problem just happened to me with the Creative Cloud Update 1.7.1.418—slightly different so I thought I'd share. I have multiple Adobe Creative Cloud programs installed on my computer, all working just fine. I updated the Cloud App to the latest version and then it shows me that I have only one program installed! All my previously installed programs (Photoshop and the like) still work but show as "install" instead of "Up to date". Initially I thought I'd have to re-install the Cloud app or recreate the OPM data base but then I noticed that some of the Cloud app preferences (Apps > Settings > App Language) were different to what I had set previously. I use English (International) language, the update had reverted the app back to English (North American). I flicked back to my previous language and bam, all my apps now show as being installed correctly.

I had to delete everything on my computer and install the operating system again , but I had to install Snow Leopard because it was the cd that came with the computer when I bought it. The problem is that I had already paid for the OS Lion and even had upgraded to the Mavericks . I do not think it's fair to have to pay again and I would like to upgrade my operating system without having to pay again for the same system.

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade your Mac to a newer version of OS X, after completing a fresh install of Snow Leopard.
If you have already purchased and downloaded OS X Lion and Mavericks, you should be able to find these items in the Purchased section of the Mac App Store.

Difficult with different coding masks for operative and std templates.

But i am unable to create operative project using std template.
I have disabled Lck for std mask and tried, then i could create project but the operative project got created with WBS element's short id 'ST' and not with 'OP'
How to ensure getting the right WBS id while copying from different standard coding mask?

I have gone through help, but i did not get any clue to make use different project IDs for std and operative.
I am just looking for this to have dedicated structures for both std and operative, due to which one can easily recognise the nature by seeing the project id.
Of course, it is very comfortable using unique project ID / coding mask for both. Still i am exploring. You may suggest if feasible.
