I did a similar thing in a grad course I took--it was text, but we had to read a pragraph about an event and interpret what was said in the paragraph--wedding, funeral, birthday, etc and answer: who, what, where, when.
This took about a month and was done with 2 versions -- one in C and one in LISP. There weren't any structures or processes that couldn't be easily implemented in Java.
The biggest question is not if it can be done in Java, but rather, do you have a sufficient grasp of Java ME and the state problem with sufficient understanding of associated theories needed to supply a slolution in the time provided.
Do you need to implement a voice and text interface or will a text interface be sufficient? If you need a voice and text interface then you need to see what is available to you for voice recognition.
Also keep this in mind: if you can define the scope of the project, don't mess up because you made the scope too big. Implement the text interface and then add voice to it as a level 2 goal, but not as a mandatory deliverable. I had a software engineering prof that told us what was needed without any scope other than what was absolutely required. He purposfully did that to see if we could manage scope and resources to meet the deadline. Out of 4 teams in the class, mine was the only one to complete the project (we maintained a very narrow scope of work and made a resonable timeline that took into account things like other classes, midterms, vactions and etc.)--we all recieved A's and the others lost 1 letter grade off of their over-all class grade for not completing a project.
Have fun, but mostly only you can decide.

When opening links in a new tab there used to be dots surrounding the link (made it easy to see your place on a list), this is gone in Firefox 4. Can it be restored or simulated?

I open new tabs from a lot of links that are in lists. In Firefox the link would be surrounded by dots when I opened the new tab which made it easy to know where I was in the list if I had to get up or even look away from the screen. This is gone in Firefox 4 and it's really annoying to have to try to keep my place in the lists all of the time. Can this be fixed?

if I right click and open in a new tab. It will work if I open link in a foreground tab but then it will switch to the opened tab then and I want to stay on the list page not switch to the tab page.
I am not technical enough with Firefox to understand the page that you sent. Can you explain what do if this can be fixed? If not are you able to pass it on to a programmer so it can be fixed on a coming revision?

Because all of your actors are in a different 3D plane you'll have to separate each out on their own layer, then position them in 3D space. You'll also need to create a 3D floor for them to stand on. This layout is the trickey part because it's difficult to match the perspective by eye. The best hint that I can give you is that perspective is a function of camera position (which should be at it's default position) and that the zoom factor is only used to frame up the shot.
The 3D floor is made of a white solid with accepts lights turned off and accepts shadows turned on. You could then multiply this layer over the original JPG background shot.
I hope this points you in the right direction. Faking shadows in 3D space isn't easy.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.
If you cannot get this information from the seller
Removing a device from a previous owner’s account
You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

I gave my macbook pro 13' to this guy to fix it and he is taking more than 3 weeks to repair it, I just wanna know if its appropriate to take so long to fix the problem that he claims

So I sent my macbook pro to a nearby macbook repair person because it was too slow, everytime I click on something, the rainbow wheel will appear and it will take like a few minutes to open up a window. Also, my videos were stucked whenever I played them in VLC etc but when I use my external hard disk to play the video, it will be okay. So I sent to this guy explaining all the problems I am facing with my macbook, then he claimed that he could do it within a day as its probably just the hard disk problem or if its the processor(2days). And now its been 3 weeks and he is still fixing my macbook, he told me it was the bios and he needs sometime to do it as he needs to be very careful. I dont know if I should believe him, its been more than 3 weeks now? I just wanted to know if what he is saying is logic and if it is, does it really take so long to fix the bios?
p/s I've increased the RAM to 8gb 1600Mhz Ddr3 recently thinking that was the problem but obviously it didnt fix my problem Help me out

Mac's do not have a BIOS to flash. Get your Mac back before this situation gets worse. Then take it to an Apple Store. You will have to pay.

You fitted the wrong Ram, you will need to change it for the right Ram when you get it back.

There is no accessory in the phone. Any thoughts on how to stop this behavior?
I tried reloading the OS and it didn't help.

I was having the same problem and it was draining my battery! After reading a couple of threads I was resigned to take my 1st gen iphone to the genius bar to see if they could do something. Before going to the bar I took off my pics, videos, movies, podcasts, and some applications in preparation for my visit. That night the problem stopped. This had been happening for about 3-4 weeks so I could replicate at will. After removing things from the phone when I tried to replicate the problem it would not happen. So I then started to re-sync things one at a time. After re-syncing everything but the applications I still could not replicate the problem. My feeling is that one of the applications, or combinations of, was causing the issue. I have not re-synced all the applications at this time because I am happy to have my phone back. Hope this helps.

I JUST purchased a song to use as a ringtone (even though I had this song IN intunes because I owned the CD.
I downloaded it, and right clicked make ringtone and it says:

After you open the iTunes application select "iTunes Store" in the left panel.
On the top right corner below the "Search iTunes Store" you should see your ID for the store. Click on it.
Enter your password and click on "View Account".
Click "Purchase History" and then click "Report a problem".
On your latest purchases you should now be able to click on the link "Report a problem", select the "Problem" and enter your "Comments".

Iphone will not charge via usb-to-computer nor via brick; I've tested with two different cables. Just before this problem arose, I got messages similar to "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone."

Most of my concern is in the subject line. I probably should've saved some content to include here. Allow me to elaborate:
While traveling with the tiny brick, I got a message on my 3GS phone that "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone”; however, the charger was working fine with another phone and with an iPad.
I tested alternatives by removing and re-inserting the cable (obviously, as I tested other devices), changing wall receptacles, shutting the phone off (all the way), all to no avail.
When I got home, I plugged a different cable--one that was connected to my iMac rather than the brick--into the my 3GS; it still didn't charge.
So, I'm hypothesizing that perhaps some debris (from a pocket?) got into the charging receptacle of the 3GS and is disrupting the connection. Perhaps there are other hypotheses.
I am reluctant to do a reset, as (a) the problem doesn't appear to be a software issue (the phone and software are all working, though the charge is declining) and (b) I don't want to lose the contents before I can sync it (now that I'm home, again).
I'd welcome suggestions. Meanwhile, I suppose I shall e-mail photos and notes from the phone to myself before I lose the remaining charge.

Try to clean the 30-pin receiver slot either by blowing air into it or using a microfiber cloth. If the problem persists, based on what you've already said, I'd say the problem is most likely hardware, and would need to be replaced or repaired. I hope your iPhone is still under the 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty, or if applicaable extended warranty. You can check by calling AppleCare National iPhone Technical Support at 1 (800) 694-7466.

My iphone 5 is 32GB and I keep it backed up in icloud. A recent message suggested that I don't have enough icloud space so I have deleted all back up - it still says no icloud space - help!!! I am not a techy person and this is driving me mad!! :(

The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well. Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

There is no chance at all that you can activate the iPad without the previous user's Apple ID and password. That is the feature of iOS 7 Activation Lock.
Every time I read one of these post, I can't help but think that the user asking about this (in this case - you) was duped into purchasing a stolen device. If the seller was legit, they would have erased the device completely before they sold it.
