  • Solution Manager: Connection via Service Connection???

    Hello,
I would like to connect the solution manager with a customer system via an exististing service connection, there is no solution manager installed on the customer's system. Is this possible? Is it possible to find any documentation about this?
    Regards,
    Britta

    Hello,
    You can run TCD DSWP
Then clcik the Solution Landscape button
Then Clcik the Service Connection link
Then click the Solution Manager drop down menu and select setup connection
    Then fill in the details:
    Product System
    Description
    Installation Number
    Systen ID
    System Number
    Service Connection type
The support Service Connection types are reference at http://service.sap.com/connectiontypes and for each connection type the corresponding Note is provided.
This setup will allow you to create service connections to OSS on Solution Manager
Once you have setup the connection you will still navigate to Service Connections, only you will use the Connection Drop down menu button to select Open Connection.
    Regards,

  • Service Account and managed account in sharepoint

I am new to SharePoint and want to understand few concepts of it:
     - What is Service Account
     - and What is managed account
and what is the difference between them

    Hi,
Basically service accounts are used for running services like sql server, services and managed accounts are synonyms

  • Manage Account does not appear in the options sync tab. How do I manage my account to get the recovery key?

I cannot sync my Firefox 18 desktop with iPad or iPhone browsers. I have tried everything suggested on the Web and have tried safe mode as well. When I enter the three-line synch code, I get a sync failure. I have deleted my account and then set up a new account without success. Manage Account does not appear in the options sync tab. How do I manage my account to get the recovery key?
I’ve spent hours on this and am considering using Chrome as my regular browser since I have no trouble syncing Chrome with apps. Help appreciated.

You can only inspect the sync key via manage account if this device is has been setup and is connected to the sync server.
You can find the sync account password and the sync (recovery) key in the password manager on computers where a sync account with a specific e-mail address has been set up.
    Look for:
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Password)
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Encryption Passphrase)
You can look at this version of the about:synckey extension that I have modified to show the sync key in current Firefox versions (desktop and mobile).

  • WLC Management Admin via RADIUS

I am trying to have a management user authenticate via radius and have full admin privileges.
For a WCS I can simply set the radius attribute of "Cisco-AVPair.attr|Wireless-WCS:role0=Admin" and that user will get full admin rights. I found this doc to grant a user lobby admin:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080871921.shtml
but, it is specific to the using the Cisco ACS as a radius server. What attributes do I need to set for a user to get full admin rights to a WLC when authenticating via radius?  Thanks.

My problem: I have a local management user profile defined on my WLC and it works fine when the Priority Order is set to LOCAL.  When I change the Priority Order to make RADIUS first and LOCAL second, I can't get logged into the WLC using CLI, GUI, or the console.  The last time this happened I had to reset the WLC and start over.  I don't want to do that again, so I need some way to get into the WLC.
    Once I can get back into the WLI would prefer using Active Directory to authenticate the management user but that doesn't seem to work.  My RADIUS acts as a front end for the Active Directory database and works well for many of our Cisco LAN switches andd Routers. Now I'm trying to set up the WLC to authenticate the management user with RADIUS.  I have set the RADIUS (MS IAS) to return two attributes;
    1. Vendor-Specific -Vendor Code 14179, Value=management
    2. Service-Type - Value=Login
When I try to login using my AD account, the RADIUS server log shows an Access Request record, then an Access-Accept record that makes it appear RADIUS has successfully authenticated the user.  But the login prompt for the GUI comes back as if it has failed.  Same with the CLI login.  Now I can't get logged into the WLC.  How can I get into the box to manage it again?
    Thanks

  • Skype Manager account possibly created?

Hello.  I just signed up for a Skype account and I wanted to sign up for a free account.  I looked on the page and it looks like I may have accidentally signed up for a Skype Manager account without meaning to.  I signed on to the Skype messenger and everything looks like it's for a free account.  I do not want any premium services on the account whatsoever.  Could someone from Skype please check into this for me?

    Hi, Calrkuc,
Only Skype Customer Service can review the account and advise if what was created is a Skype Manager configuration or a regular Skype account.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    A few extra notes:
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype, and you will receive a reply to the account's registered e-mail address.

  • How can I verify my iCloud account via email, when I can't access my icloud email without verifying my account?

I have setup a new cloud ID.
I now need to verify my account via email.
How can I do this when I can't access my iCloud email without verifying account?

Did you click the Verify Now link in the verification email from Apple (see image below)?  If not, make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Also make sure you check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    Abhishek Madan

    Hi Abhishek,
According to your description, my understanding is that the User Profile Synchronization service stuck on ‘Starting’ or ‘Stopping’.
Please check whether you installed SQL 2012 Native Client (Pre-requisites) on SharePoint server. If yes, download and install SQL 2008 R2 Native Client from the below location:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/1/3/9138773A-505D-43E2-AC08-9A77E1E0490B/1033/x64/sqlncli.msi
From the SharePoint server ->control panel -> add/Remove programs , please confirm that the SQL 2008 Native Client is listed.
Make sure that the farm account is a member of the Administrators group on the server on which you are trying to start the User Profile Synchronization service, then restart the SharePoint Timer Service.
Set the FIM services to "Local System" before starting the service.
There is a troubleshooting for User Profile Synchronization Service start issues, please have a look at:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg750257(v=office.14).aspx
Here are some similar posts for you to take a look at:

  • SQL server agent job running as Agent Service Account whose service account does not have r/w access but is still able to write?

Hi. I am newer to SQL server security and am reviewing some of our SQL server's configuration to make sure the services are running under accounts with least privilege.  I have a SQL server 2012 instance whose Agent service is configured to run
under an AD user account named 'SQLServices'.  The jobs on this server are configured to run as 'SQL server agent service account', which means they should execute as user 'SQLServices'.  The jobs are set up to execute SSIS packages which read and
write to a database on the same server where the agent job is scheduled and SSIS package installed (all on same server).  The jobs are currently executing without error and are reading writing data correctly.  Upon close examination, it turns out the
SQLServices account is not assigned to the 'sysadmin' role and had no users mapped to any databases on this server.  How are these jobs working?  I verified in profiler that the login name indeed is 'SqlServices'.  I also verified
that SQLServices login has no database access by remote-ing onto the server and trying to log into the DB, and access was denied as expected.  According to the literature, the Agent service needs to be a member of 'sysadmin role' but I am reading
some cases where that is not necessarily the case.  So this is not so concerning.  What is concerning is that the login 'SQLServices' had no access to the databases on that server yet it is reading and writing to the databases as if it does.
The only thing I can think of is maybe jobs run as 'SQL server agent service account' on the same server as the databases it r/w to somehow has some kind of default access.  What am I missing here?  Any input would be helpful.

After 2 days on this forum I found the answer to my own question.  In retrospect, I should have posted this under 'SQL Server Security', but I didn't know it existed.
The 2 threads below explain that Sql agent actually runs using SID (service) NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT if you chose that when you installed.  This will automatically create an associated login NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT in SQL server with sqladmin
role.  This is the login that Agent uses to connect to the local instance of SQL server.  If you changed to domain account to run the service during install or after using config manager, basically NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT is still
used to connect to your local instance behind the scenes (even though you will still see your domain user as account), and the domain account is used to reach outside the server.

  • There is no manage account button on my firefox sync tab on windows 7 or xp or ipod

I set up a Firefox sync account on my windows 7 machine, with user name, password and code (which I still have).
Then I set it up on my Windows XP machine.
    The two synced.
Then I set it up on my iPod. The device picked up the then current sync.
Now, if I try to get to my Sync acct via Firefox>Options>Options>Sync there is no "Manage Account" button.
None of my units will sync, and I cannot even follow the instructions to rest the code -- because there is no "Manage Account" button.
This has been going on for at least a week or more.
Can someone advise on what is happening and how to make sync -- sync? Or work?
    Thank you.

When I go to the Firefox button>Options>Options>
I see the Sync Tab which asks me to set up Firefox Sync (which I've already done). The image depicting this is "opening_screen_sync.jpg"
If I click on "Set Up firefox Sync" I see "second_screen_sync.jpg"
If I click on "I already have a Firefox Sync account" Connect button then I see the code it gives with the third screen (I've left the code part out).
Nowhere do I see the screen in the FireFox dialogues that lets me access the Manage my account so I can ask for a reset of the code (if that's necessary).
These pictures are from my windows 7 machine.
Do you also want to see the images from my XP? Essentially it's the same thing.
From my iPod Touch 4 using Firefox Home, when I hit the refresh button the tabs, bookmarks and history remain the same even though my Windows 7 Firefox has changed significantly.
No unit picks up changes from any other unit. Even though originally synced.
Is this the information you where asking for? If not, please feel free to guide me into directly what info you are seeking.
Thank you for your time and patience.

  • Apps won't launch from managed accounts

I have separate accounts for my kids (4 and 6) to play simple games every now and then.
Whenever I turn these into managed accounts (switch on parental restrictions) apps start acting strangely. The bing-bang board games crash (asking me to send report to apple), and safari crashes whenever they type something in a text input field.
The only possible repair so far has been to completely delete and recreate the account, which works until after a while, apps start crashing again. After they crash once, they won't start again in the same account.
What could be the problem here?
Is parental control not working properly, or are there settings somewhere I need to take into account?
    Wouter

If you are using mx:Application, you need to set visible as
    true in the app.xml file.
Also make sure that no instance of adl is already running. If
so kill that instance via task manager.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  • Camera will not show for import in managed account

In my administrator and one managed account, when I connect my kodak digital camera it displays for import. In another managed account despite enabling access to image capture, selecting iphoto for import in image capture and fixing permissions, neither image capture or iphoto show the kodak camera for import. I also tried removing the preference files from that user's library for iphoto and image capture. Help!

    Hi ckauf49!
    Thanks for the post.
The camera may not show an image on the LCD screen if the camera is not set for live view shooting.  However, it will always display the menu on the screen if you press the MENU button.  If it does not, then the camera will need to be serviced.  To start this process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.

  • Integration via Services

I will make an integration between an ERP system and a WMS.
This integration will be made via services, or when I need to send information from ERP to WMS, the ERP will draw on my ALDSP a service that will map the parameters of the Webservice (XSD) that were sent by the ERP to the fields of WMS, which in the case will be a Procedure.
I wonder what is the best way to map the fields of XSD for the fields of procedure, I know I have to use xQuery, but I use logical data services or models for this? I need also to do some testing before calling the procedure, such as whether a field has size X, if not, I trunc it.
What would be the best way that I do this with Data Services? The reverse also happens.

    Hi Daniel,
please look into the AC 5.3 Configuration Guide, there you will find all web services available for AC.
But the web services were designed for a direct integration to an ID Management system so you have to check yourself if these web services will help you.
    Best,
    Frank
