Manage Additional EANs

Hi Gurus,
I have the following issue regarding Bar-code reader and EAN in material master data.
I use a barcode reader that read the single piece barcode of material and for this reason user must insert quantity of pack after barcode reading.
I want to change this behaviour and I want use barcode reader in order to read the pack barcode and automacally I want know the number of pieces in the pack.
How can I do this ?
Probably I can define in "Units of measure" in material master data (Additional Data) that 1 pack = 6 pieces for example and assigne the pack barcode. In this way when I read the pack barcode, the barcode reader automatically know that I have six pieces in the pack.
Please help me it is very urgent.

Hi,
It seems wrong data entered for EAN.
first you change *** to HR and then you select the changed HR UOM and delete them.
Now you wont face any issue.

Performance Management - additional column owners

Dear Experts!
I am attempting to add an additional Column owner to my 360 degree appraisal template.
Right now I am having standard like AA Appraiser and Appraisee, AE Appraisee, AR Appraiser, OT Further Participants and PA Part Appraiser.
We have the requirement that an HR Admin has to enter the ratings of External customer, Internal customer, Vendor, Mentor as they do not have SAP user id's. If I select Part Appraiser column owner as Part Appraiser, it is not open for HR Admin.
Please help me in resolving this problem.

Hi Adam.
Check the Badi 'HRHAP00_SELECTION', her you have to create a custom implementation for this Badi def. Give a new Filter value as 'HR Manager' or 'Mentor'.
Now you will have to copy one of the active implemenation's code to this badi implementation and then make corresponding changes to the Badi for HR Manager Role or Mentor Role.
The coding has to be done in the method 'GET_INFORMATION'.
After this you have to assign this Filter value in the OOHAP_BASIC Tcode for the corresponding Role.

My first thought is careful with the FQDNs in the RFC destinations from the satellite systems to the Solution Manager.
All these pesky 'back' RFCs are bound to give you some trouble.

Manage "Additional data B" in VA01 and BAPI_SALESORDER_SIMULATE

I'm implementing a new field in VA01 custom screen named "Additional data B" in this field in the user exit "userexit_pricing_prepare_tkomk(sapmv45a)" a value in table KOMK .
This works well , but now i have to pass this custom value to BAPI_SALESORDER_SIMULATE , but i can't find any userexit or Extensionin custom Structure for make it working equal than VA01 .

we recive the following error "values have not been entered for one or more required segments sales order" we tried to but the flexfileds not requerd but still the same we recive the error we also tried to put default value for the flexfiled but we also recive the error

Fadi,
I am sorry I got confused. I read this post as Additional "Order" Information where you are referring to Additional "header" information.
As this is DFF, and you have set this up as required, did you enter a value in the DFF segment that is required. If yes, you should be able to proceed. If you do not want this segment to be populated, may be you need to make this segment not required in the Additional Header Information DFF.

I have done the configuration to get the HU created automatically but how to add the line item in delivery.

Can we automate user creation or responsibility addition

HI,
I would like to know, if by any way we automate user creation in apps. or If not user creation, at least responsibility addition. Lets say we create users with some default responsibility. And after that with the use of user management or CRM HTML Admin some automation can be done like, they select the responsibility they want, it reaches next approval level, once approved it automatically gets added to user account.
Not sure if this can be done or not. I heard someone did in his project using user managemenr or CRM HTML ADmin, not sure though

POS Outbound - sending multiple EANs per article in WP_PLU03

The configuration help on POS Outbound profile field TWPFI-EAN_ART (Indicator for article/EAN cross-reference) indicates that in this flag should be maintained when older POS systems are not able to accomodate a relationship between article number and UPC/EAN when multiple UPCs/EANs exist for an article.
Example: Article 4711 has UPC 123 and 456, both for UOM "EA". When the article is created and RWDPOSUP (TCode WPMU) or RWDPOSAN (TCode WPMA) is executed, two IDocs are generated: WP_PLU03 and WP_EAN01. However, I cannot use both IDocs as a source for my POS system's PLU. Instead, I want the WP_PLU03 to contain all UPCs/EANs for the article - in essence I would have two E1WPA01 segments for article 4711 - one for UPC 123 and the other for UPC 456. The help for this field, as I understand it, would do just this - however, enabling the configuration has no apparent effect, and in debugging the code, I cannot find where TWPFI-EAN_ART is taken into account during IDoc generation. Has anyone used this configuration before?

key of the record WP_PLU IDoc is the article number and unit of measurement. This is always transferred with the main EAN/UPC (MARM-EAN11 in the article master data). All additional EAN (from table MEAN in the article master data) are transferred in the WP_EAN Message. There is no option to include additional EAN/UPCs into the WP_PLU IDoc.
This approach works well as long as the POS system uses a similar data model with PLUs (with the key of the main EAN/UPC) and cross reference UPCs in a separate table.
However if your POS system requires a PLU per EAN/UPC it would be necessary that the middleware between SAP Retail and POS creates these records as a combination of the WP_PLU and WP_EAN messages. In this case it would be required that the POS Outbound creates a WP_EAN message each time when a WP_PLU message is created and vice versa.
The creation of this additional message can be controlled by the Parameter TWPFI-EAN_ART.

Retail - EAN codes - Purchase 3 articles - sell 1 article to Stores

Could any body guide me in the right direction?
Retail:
A vendor delivers :
3 articles (all fish, but in different size boxes)
3 different EAN numbers.
The product is sold to the Stores as one article, because the fish is sold pr. kilo
The settings in the system does not allow the same EAN assignment to different articles.
Can the use of additional EAN be used, and if so how???
Hope to be able to solve this without allowing multiple EAN assignment to be able to get the Moving average correct for the product sold to the Stores

The PLU code being used in the Store for weighing the fish is in some way to be connected to the articles procured from the vendor. There are several artilces that are sold on the same PLU code in the Store.
It's the connection to the PLU sold in the store and all the articles you buy from the vendor .
We have tries to use additional EAN's to add these to the PLU article, but the system will not allow the PLU code (or EAN code)to be used on more than one article
Not easy to explain, but ....
You buy articles from the vendor:
"Article 1" with it's own EAN code
"Article 2" with it's own EAN code
"Article 3" with it's own EAN code
These articles are sold to the Store as "article 4" with a PLU code that is identified when the fish is being weigh in the store
Is there a solution for this besides changing the message code Message no. M3348 to a warning message insted of error message?

How long is it going to take to repair the Manage Additional Users page? It is referenced as having problems in various postings on this site. I have been with Sky now for about a week - it is surely too soon to make me regret the xfer!! Regardseepee

This is turning out to be a debate on the merits of the 'changes' assuming what you say is the way things will go. Are you sure? Have you been told?? Have they published details somewhere??? It is not what I want. What I need is a procedure that works and I can use. Ideally KISS. But to answer your explanations:- Need to provide other email address. Why? I have never had to have an email address in order to create an email address. If you forget/don't keep a record of your password tough luck on that address. But even so 'non sky email address' for additional users. Why? The account holder has a Sky email adddress. It is also linked to an external address. The person is also responsible for the addition/removal of other email users to do with that account. There really is no need for any other routes in case 'someone forgets' their password. But where are the Sky people? Don't they monitor what people are complaining about? I notice that this is one of at least three threads, some of which I notice you have also contributed to. Yet no word that I know of, from Sky. In fact. on the phone, one sensed that perhaps one was being considered a bit useless. Followed a few minutes later by 'Oh I see what you mean' and even later by 'our technical team are looking at the problem'. Meantime the 'big blue button' that I am told worked well (I wouldn't know - only been with Sky for a week) has not returned. Regards, eepee

Check FM EAN_CHECK. There are other FMs also starting with EAN_*.

Removal of EAN code / update problem in ECC

Hi,
I have a problem regarding EAN codes within MDM. If a material is created within MDM and a EAN code assigned to the material and the records is syndicated to ECC it all works fine.
Now later we find out that the EAN code is to be removed and left blank. When syndicating this change to ECC the material is not updated.
It works fine when changing the EAN code but not when removing the EAN code.
If you do it manually within ECC you get a warning and then the EAN code is removed. I know you also have to mark a main EAN code within the additional data -> Additional EANs and ECC assigns this automatically if you change EAN codes and automatically removes this when removing the EAN code.
What is needed to syndicate a removal of EAN code to ECC from MDM?
