Manage "Do not permanently delete items until you back up the database" mailbox level

Hi,
I need the active directory attribute name for "Do not permanently delete items until you back up the database" at mailbox level and the EMS command for enabling/disabling
the above setting (the other settings in the following screenshot I found).

Well, there are only 3 possible values I believe... 1 = database default, 2 = retain for custom period and 3 = Retain Until Backup Or Custom Period... However I have seen 2 doesn't work for some reason and if you have database default is not selected
and keep deleted item for x days set to something else other than default and Do not permanently delete items until you back up the database is unselected then it set the value to 5 as well.... I guess other than these possible values if anything else is set
then it will give you warning that object is corrupted.
But yes value is other than 3 then checkbox is automatically deselected set based on what value it has... in short I would check what's the value for deletedItemFlags by setting all the possible options before coming to conclusion... ;)

I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

Retain deleted items until backup

We have been following a few best practice configuration guides for exchange 2010. One thing that stood out is the retain deleted items until next backup option is not ticked on maiboxes or public folder databases. I have read up on the setting but am still
a bit unsure on the neccesity for it.
1) Can anyone elaborate on the risks/potential issues in NOT retaining deleted items until the next backup.
2) What exactly is an "item" in this concept?
PS - we have configured a policy whereby users can recover deleted emails from their dumpster for 20 days, although I think you can "purge" them from there and they are gone for good. Full backups run once per week.

1: In simple words, Precaution is Better then Cure.
Exchange will make sure that mailbox doesn't get deleted until backup is taken.
2: Item will be the emails, meeting, Notes etc. in the Mailbox.

Powershell Command to permanently delete items in ALL users Deleted Items folder older than X days.

Does anyone know a powershell command that can be run on Exchange 2010 SP1 that will permanently delete mail in the deleted items folder older than X days for ALL users in a specific database? This should include any user created subfolders in deleted items
also.
I know that seems bizarre to have user created subfolders in deleted items but we have found that users have discovered that if they create subfolders then their deleted items dont get purged at the regular retention period time.

For Exchange 2010 SP1, we can use search-mailbox and new-mailboxexportrequest to delete message in certain folder.

iTunes U course will not permanently delete. I have unsubscribed and selected Edit>Delete - Course comes back next time open app - other courses seemed to delete fine - any similar experience/assistance? Thanks.

I figured something out. Sometimes when you delete from iTunes U, it leaves some traces of data on your iPad/iPhone. The best way to delete everything is to go to Settings-> General -> Usage -> iTunes U -> Edit then delete all remaining entries that you don't need anymore. This fixed my problem.

I purchased Breaking Bad, Season 5 (season pass) in HD, through my Apple TV. I've received an email receipt from Apple for the purchase, and it's shown up on my credit card recent activity. When I go to play any episode, I get the following message:
"You did not buy this item. You can not redownload [Episode Name]"
I most certainly did. So far, the Apple support has been the typical glazed-eyes, "make sure you're plugged in to the world wide web", "unplug, and plug in after exactly 60 seconds (so all the electrons drain out the back)", not really reading the specific case and symptoms I'm experiencing.
I've been able to "purchase" a free episode of a TV show and, despite a shockingly slow download, it was viewable, and the whole transaction was done directly through the Apple TV.
I was also able to download episodes from iTunes to my computer and watch them that way, but I really don't want the movies on my computer.
If there was a problem with an HDCP handshake between the AppleTV and the television, would an error message like this display?

Shut down and restart the Mail app...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Mail app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Mail app

It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved.

Ok, sounds like the safe mode boot worked... You probably don't want to always be in safe mode though (some reduced functionality) so does it do a normal boot now? If not, you should then reboot into safe mode and run Disk Utility. Then select Macintosh HD on the left hand side, and click the Verify Disk button. If needed, it will ask you to Repair Disk. If there are errors found, Repair Disk again until there are none. Then try another normal boot and reply with result, wether good or bad.

You can't. The streams are uneditable even to the mods and admins. It's an ongoing data collection. You can only hide stuff by marking it as read in the relevant areas like your Inbox.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

When I try to create a database, I have this error message:
You do not have enough free disk space to create the database. You need at least 1428480 kB on /opt/oracle, you have only 1179648 kB available, please alocate more free disk space.*
When I run *# df -h* I have:
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol09
5.7G 4.3G 1.2G 79% /opt/oracle
and
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol10
486G 542G 262G 68% /oracle_data
and with vgdisplay I have:
Alloc PE / Size 29772 / 930.38
Free PE / Size 0 / 0
My info is:
Redhat Linux server release 5.8
Oracle 11.2.0
I do not know how to solve this.

 1179648 1428480 -248832So, yes, both numbers report the available space in slightly different terms, but what you need to be concerned about is how much Oracle thinks you neeed to have, which is more than you actually have on /opt/oracle.
