• Manage my files from icloud to pc

Hi.
I have a problem with my important files that are in iCloud. My documents app. does not work so I can not access to them. I need to transfer those files to my PC. When I. open that app. automatically it close. I dont know what to do I need my files. Do you know any application which I can manage my files in icloud.

I have the same problem. Anyone got it fixed? The error is clearly on the server side because none of Windows 7, OSX, Firefox, Safari, Chrome works. After being twice in contact with Apple support, I never received promised calls from senior support staff.

• When I download a Numbers file from iCloud to my Mac, it isn't the latest version.

Today I worked on a Numbers file on my iPad 2 from 4:40 pm to 6:30 pm. A few hours later, when I tried to download the file from iCloud to my Mac, none of today's changes appeared. When I looked at it again on the iPad, on the main Numbers page where you choose the file you want, it showed a time of 4:43 pm associated with the file. However, when I opened it, the two hours of work was still there even though the time was off. I tried sending the file as an email and when I opened the email attachment on my Mac, all of today's changes were there. So the new changes are captured when emailing a file but not when downloading it.
It almost seems as if the file hasn't made it off the iPad and into iCloud, but I can't find any information on ways to force that or know if it's been done.

Two possible problems.
1. BlackBoard never supports the latest version of Firefox, for a few reasons. Some schools don't run the latest version of BlackBoard Vista or Campus Edition. Also, BlackBoard upgrades seem to be tied to the "school year" cycle, the changes they make to improve and update their software seem to be rolled out for the fall term so that changes aren't being made during the normal "school year" and possibly causing problems for the schools. That also may be a function of their contract / payment cycles with the schools that use their programs.
http://www2.blackboard.com/tuneup/viewpage?name=tuneup_browser_tuneup_windows_firefox
Select the link for the version of WebCT Vista or Campus Edition ''(version info is usually at the bottom of each page, in the footer)'' that your school is using, then see which version of Firefox is compatible.
Depending upon which version of WebCT your school is using, you will have to use Firefox 3.6.x, Firefox 3.5.x, or Firefox 3.0.x when accessing the Blackboard site.
My advice is to install the Firefox Portable version that you need for Blackboard on your computer, and use that installation only for Blackboard. Continue to use 4.0.1 for all other web browsing.
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy
2. Firefox uses a Plugin ( you have Office Plugin for Netscape Navigator installed) to open files that aren't "internet files", like word processing documents.
I can't help you directly with Office, as I use Open Office, but there should be a preference for that Plugin within your Office preferences or options under something like Internet, to have those files '''Display documents in browser'''.
Or see this to make sure you have your "file type" set correctly.
• Can you share large files on iCloud drive like dropbox?

I am exploring how to use iCloud drive now...and had a basic question. Can you share large files from it in a similar way as you can with dropbox? This is a great feature of dropbox...or google drive when mailing large files just doesn't work.
I have a Yosemite beta currently, and it doesn't look like you can do this.
I also was wondering if anyone has figured out how to make an alias of the iCloud drive on the desktop rather than always opening a finder window in order to drop files into iCloud drive....

Have a look at the iCloud Drive FAQ: The file size limit is 15 G: iCloud Drive FAQ http://support.apple.com/kb/HT201104
You can store any type of file in iCloud Drive, as long as it's less than 15 GB in size. There's no restriction on file type, so you keep all of your work documents, school projects, presentations, and more up to date across all of your devices. If you make an alias to a folder on iCloud Drive, you can drag it to the Favourites in the Finder sidebar. That is the best I could do.

• How to manage files in ipad

How can we manage files in ipad?

If you are used to a Windows computer and now have an iPad, you might be thinking the same thing. iOS doesn't want you to worry about files on your iPad, so everything is run through the apps themselves.
If you need a bit more control of your files, you might like FileManger Pro, it's 4.99, but it will manage them through Dropbox, iCloud, etc. Everything is now run throught the cloud usually, which means you might have to pay for Cloud Storage with a Apple device. Hence cloud storage is popular these days, and also dangerous if you know a little about hacking.
Here are your file management options through another app you download with the App Store,
Best File Management with iPad, iPhone: http://bit.ly/X2KPHb
Now if you do have a Windows, or a Mac Computer, plug it into your USB on your computer and install iTunes Software. It will lManage your files through the iTunes Software. First on iTunes go to your iPad button on the top right, then click on your Menu where it Says Apps, and manually control the Files from there.
Dropbox is a helpful for a lot of this and the File Manger Pro will integrate the file management there, so it's worth the 4.99 for that option too, it also integrates with the iCloud and other Cloud option you may have.
Here is my Blog, I hope to write more posts like this in the future.

• Duplication of iTunes files on iCloud

I just bought a new MacBook Pro with the 10.8 OSX, and wanted to sync iTunes on it with my iCloud fiies. My old laptop had iTunes files on it, but I had not connected it to iCloud. When I went to sync the new laptop, the old iTunes files seem to have migrated into iCloud. I have tried to delete these from my desktop (where i had my iCloud files set up), but they keep resync-ing whenever I do a backup. How does one manage the files in iCloud, so that my new laptop and my desktop have the same files? My iPhone also has a bunch of aliases for files as well (files with the same name, plus the numeral "1" after them). Should I "deauthorize" iCloud for all my platforms, then start over with what I have on my desktop? Or is there a way to manuallly remove the duplicates?

Hours and hours is not all that uncommon for large libraries, how large is yours.

• HT5925 deleting old backup files from icloud ?

How can we view and delete backup files on icloud?

You can do that e.g. on your iOS device in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage"
or on your Mac: System Preferences > iCloud > Manage... .

• How do I get iTunes on a new computer to recognize and use my files on the local drive? My music files on iCloud have been recognized.

My old computer failed. All files, including iTunes were backed up on a separate drive. All files have been loaded on the new computer. iTunes was reloaded, and recognizes all files on iCloud, but does not link to the files on the computer. How can I re-establish that linkage?

Hello jzinser,
I am not sure on how you reset up your iTunes library on your new computer. If you copied the music by dragging on top of iTunes, then the media would have been put into the proper location. If you have the media copied to your computer and have not established in iTunes where it sits, then you will need to do that within the preferences in iTunes. Take a look at the articles below for more information to help sort this out.

• I can't get pages 5.01 to open pages files from iCloud, although they open in iCloud Pages without difficulty.

I can't get Pages 5.01 to open Pages files from iCloud, although they open in iCloud Pages without difficulty.
I am using the most up to date version of Mavericks and Pages and can log into iCloud without any problems. Is this just a glitch? The files all behaved properly under previous versions and the initial release of the new version of Pages.

Pages for iCloud beta is a weird beast and as it says "beta".
I think it is the least compatible of all the many different .pages files floating around out there.

I don't think there is a way to specify how to open a file of
NO type.
Why not rename them?

• Can't open files from iCloud Drive on Mac

Hi,
Can't open file from iCloud Drive on my MacBook Air (OS X 10.10.1).
I created new file (in Numbers for example). Then Numbers->File->Open->iCloud Drive->my_file.numbers and it says "Can't open file my_file.numbers".
I can preview the file by pressing Space, but openning from application and double-click on it doesn't work.
Files that were created earlear also not opened.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem? thanks.

Using smtp.mail.me.com - also tried smtp.me.com
SSL yes
port 587
SMTP Authentification Yes
Security SLS/TLS - also tried STARTTLS
User full **@me.com email address - also tried user name without @me.com
I have spoken to apple support this afternoon and we tried the variations shown above.
Support told me to wait for a day and try again!
After the iCloud authentication problem last night I changed all my passwords I wonder if there is an SMTP problem at me.com perhaps not reading the updated passwords?
I'll try and use the old passwords later.

• How can i import contacts from a csv file to "iCloud Contacts"?

How can I import contacts from a csv file to "iCloud Contacts"?

The only way I know of to import cells from a csv file is by creating a new file. But then you can select the desired cells and copy them to the other file. I just did it to be sure it works.
1. Create the new spreadsheet file via the upload command.
2. Select the cells (table) that you want to move to the other file and press command+C (copy).
3. Close the new file and open the existing file.
4. Select the top/right cell of the area to receive the copied "table" and press commant+V (paste).
I hope this is what you're trying to do!

• How can I see my files from iCloud on my ipad??

I have some files different kind of files in my iCloud storage... I would like to view and access them from my ipad. How can I view them??

Hi mtsada,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of your question. If you are talking about accessing files on iCloud Drive, you may find the information outlined in the following article helpful:
How do I access all my files in iCloud Drive?
You can access your files in iCloud Drive any of these ways:
Using any supported web browser, you can go to iCloud Drive or iWork for iCloud beta at iCloud.com. In iWork for iCloud beta, you can find your Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files.
On your Mac with OS X Yosemite, you can go to iCloud Drive in Finder.
On your PC with Windows 7 or later and iCloud for Windows, you can go to iCloud Drive in File Explorer.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8, you can access your files from Apple apps like Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, or any apps that support iCloud Drive.
