Manage full access and send as permission in Exchange 2007

Hi,
I try to delegeate helpdesk the permission in ECM to manage Full Access and Send As permission.
I ran the PS command
Add-ADPermission -Identity "CN=Exchange Org,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=local" -User "domain\ADGroupDelegation" -ExtendedRights ms-Exch-Store-Admin -InheritanceType
All
Now the helpdesk  tech are can manage Full Access permission in EMC, but still not have access to manage Send As permission.
Thanks for your help !

Hi,
The issue maybe related to the Active Directory Replication Latency. The Send As permission is not granted until after replication has occurred. Replication times depend on your Microsoft Exchange and network configuration. To grant the permission immediately,
stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. You can restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service to check the result.
Here is a relate article for your reference.

Downloaded iOS7 on my 4S. Mostly went well, but sometimes screens lock up (especially text, but also Settings). Find I cannot access and send texts sometimes, plus do not receive some texts from others (group messages real problem). Any work around? And related problem: Getting told can not connect to network when trying to sign on with Apple ID to launch Facetime and Messages.

I've restarted several times. If I restore from backup, unfortunately the backup was done after iOS7 downloaded. Now, am I wrong that "restore as new" will essentially wipe me out? If so, and having backup, you're saying essentially start over and then backup?

  • Granting full access and Mailbox Caching

    Hi!
We have a Microsoft Server 2008 R2 (terminal server) with Office 2013. The mailboxes are hosted by Microsoft Online. If a user creates a Outlook profile everything goes well. I
even have a policy set up that forces to Cache one month to speed things up.
Now when I give this person 'full access to a colleges mailbox it appears (magically) on its own which is perfect yes? However it starts caching the entire mailbox from that college
and not just a month. What Group Policy should I set? Or should I do this differently.
The only Group Policies which I have set (for Outlook that is) are:
Cached Exchange Mode Sync Settings (1 month)
Use Cached Exchange mode for new and existing Outlook profiles. (enable)

Thank you for sharing your solution and experience here. Have a good time.

  • How to change POP mail to IMAP and what's with Microsoft Exchange 2007?

When I set up two of my email accounts I had Leopard. And I set the email accounts up as POP mail accounts. But now I want to change them to IMAP accounts because my school recommends the school email as being IMAP and I would like to change my main email to IMAP. My more recent email set up as IMAP.
But every time I try to make a new email it tries to set up as Microsoft Exchange 2007 and I don't even know what that is. I would rather have it as IMAP because that's what I've been told to use. I have never been good at setting up email.
So may someone please help me.
I would just like to change these accounts that are set up as POP mail into IMAP.

Instructions can be found in this thread - http://discussions.info.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12223866 or http://207.46.16.237/en-us/140/cc511390.aspx which I found through Google search.

  • How to set up full access and limited access wireless networks to laptops

    Dear Apple,
I just received my Apple 1 TB Time Capsule. Can someone please help me with a network configuration I want to set up?
I have a cable modem, and, three computers: a G4 iMAC (system 10.5.5), an Apple MacBook (system 10.5.5), and, a PC laptop.
The Time Capsule is connect directly to the cable modem.
    Regarding the computers:
    (1) I want the G4 iMAC to connect directly, via an Ethernet cable, to the Time Capsule, WITH FULL ALLOWED ACCESS to the Time Capsule and to the back-up function of the Time Machine feature, and, with allowed access to my HP inkjet printer (class 6110);
    (2) I also want the MacBook laptop to wirelessly link to the Time Capsule via the Airport utility on the laptop, and, WITH FULL ALLOWED ACCESS to the Time Capsule and to the back-up function of the Time Machine feature (using WPA/WPA2 security, and, without the network name visible to third parties), and, WITH allowed access to my HP inkjet printer (class 6110);
    (3) I want the PC laptop to wirelessly link to the Time Capsule (using WEP security), but WITHOUT ACCESS to the Time Machine, WITHOUT access to the back-ups on the iMAC, WITHOUT access to the back-ups on the MacBook, and, WITHOUT access to the inkjet printer --- I only want the PC to use the Time Capsule as a WIRELESS ROUTER so that the PC laptop can access the internet.
    (4) And, finally, I want to specify (Time-Capsule/Time-Machine/server ) access ONLY to the iMAC and the MacBook, so that others cannot gain any access.
I specifically need help to set up and configure the Time Capsule so that the PC laptop, as stated above, should have limited access to the Time Capsule --- namely, only to access the internet, and, not even be aware of stored data on the Time Capsule, not even be aware of the inkjet printer, and, not even see my WPA network name when the PC scans for wireless devices.
I also want the iMAC and the MacBook to have access to each other’s data stored on the Time Capsule (like a common server).
I have an old D-Link DI-624 wireless router that I used before buying the Time Capsule, which is available, if needed. Hopefully, I can configure the Time Capsule so that I would not need the old D-Link.
    Thank you in advance,
    David.

The basic method for remote access is not changed.
    http://gigaom.com/apple/access-your-time-capsule-over-the-internet/
    You have a few issues.
The really big one.. the school firewall should not let you connect to home.
Check the IT admin at your school but if they allow anything but a few protocols like http and https through, they are not doing their job. You cannot afford in a large network to have every Tom Dick and Harry access any open device.. that can introduce viruses and trojans into the network behind the firewall.
The general method for remote access on large networks is vpn and the TC offers no vpn connection.. just AFP.
If you intend using 3G wireless stick or the like then you can get access.
The next issue is static public IP or how to find the TC.. you need some way to find the IP if your ISP does not offer static ip, and the tc has no dyndns client. Since Apple shut down new users for mobileme and will close that service there is no method to find the TC IP without owning your own domain. You would be better placing the TC in bridge behind a router that does offer dyndns and port forward AFP (TCP 548) to it.

  • Managing airport access and time restrictions

I have a home airport wireless system with a number of wireless computers connected.  I am trying to configure the access time limitations for some of these devices (kids computers).  What software do I use?    I can't find this ability in Airport Utility.    I know I could use the parental software control on the individual computers, but I just want to control access to the home wireless network.  So devices would be able to connect, other will not.  All I can do now is either have the network up or down for everyone.    Thank you for your help.

The AirPorts do offer a timed access type of control. You can get to this via the AirPort Utility as follows:

  • Send-MailMessage and Automatic Email Generation with Exchange 2007

    Good morning everyone,
Is it possible to create a powershell script to automatically send messages with Send-MailMessage? I've been asked if we can make Exchange/Outlook automatically generate its own emails to send. My answer was no, you generally need a third party tool to do
this, such as SendLater or have an application that processes emails through Exchange automatically.
Then we came upon Send-MailMessage and while I can send emails to myself all night and day, I need to know if I can send with this command automatically throughout the day. I'm somewhat still new to powershell scripting and not sure where to begin or if
    this is even possible.
    Thanks for any assistance!

  • Need to send mail from Microsoft Exchange 2007 account(different from Gmail) on behalf of another Gmail ID. How to configure that ?

I have a Gmail ID (e.g [email protected])
I have a Exchange ID (e.g  [email protected])
I need to configure exchange account (2007)  such that I can send a mail from my Exchange account but at the receiver end it looks like it was sent from  ([email protected]).
Both the accounts are my accounts.
I need this because I do not have access to my Gmail account from place where I access the internet and I need to send the mails from my Gmail account only.

So you want to spoof your e-mail address.
You can make your Exchange server send as any address you want.  Just create a different mailbox with that address as the primary (reply) address.  It has to be a different account.
However, be aware that many systems to which you send such mail to will bounce it as suspected spam because they'll detect that your server is sending mail from Gmail but your server is not Gmail.

  • Maximum send size who controls exchange 2007

    who wins ?
the global settings > transport setting is 20mb
but I also see Send connectors with a limit of 10mb
    thanks

    Hi,
David M is right. In this situation, the limit on send connector will take precedence.
Following are the basic categories for the scope of the limits available for individual messages:
    Organizational limits
    Global limits
    Connector limits
    Active Directory site links
    Routing group connectors
    Server limits
    User limits
The path evaluated is as follows: User Send Limit > Receive Connector > Organization Checks > Send Connector > User Receive Limit
In general, the lowest size limit on an e-mail route determines if a message can be successfully transported from sender to the recipient.
One exception to this approach is the user limits. User level limits take precedence over other message size restrictions.

  • GAL and Free Busy Information during Exchange 2007 and 2013 coexistence

    Hello Everyone,
I am finishing up an Exchange 2013 migration from 2007.  I am currently still in coexistence and had some questions around the Global Address List and Free Busy Information.
How to I tell if my clients are pulling address book information from my Exchange 2013 or 2007 Global Address List?  I don't want to remove the 2007 system if the clients are pulling from it.  All mailboxes are moved to Exchange 2013.
How do I make sure my clients are pulling the Fee Busy Information from Exchange 2013 or 2007?  If I remove my 2007 servers will my clients lose Free Busy Information?
How do I tell what Exchange version my clients are getting this information from?
    Thanks for any assistance!
    Ian...

    Hello,
Free/busy information are retrieved from user’s mailbox by EWS service.
GAL(I think you may refer to OAB), we can use the following command to get it’s generated server:
    Get-OfflineAddressBook |FL

  • Send As permission

    Hi,
I created a generic user (senior manager) in active directory, and created an exchange mailbox for the user. Therefore the email address is---- [email protected]
The exchange server is exchange 2003.
I need to grant full mailbox and send as permission to this mailbox for a particular user. I go to  Active Directory User and Computer, then right click senior manager and click properties.

I then click on exchange advance tab and then mailbox rights. I added the user that needs access to the mailbox and ticked allowed for full mailbox access. Then clicked ok.
Then clicked on the security tab and added the same user again and ticked allowed for Send as.
However when the user tries to send an email using the "from field" a message pops up saying "you do not have permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user".
What am I doing wrong? The user needs send as access not send on behalf of.
    Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Start Active Directory Users and Computers; click Start, point to
Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click
    Active Directory Users and Computers.
    2. On the View menu, make sure that
    Advanced Features is selected.
    3. Double-click the user that you want to grant send as rights for, and then click the
    Security tab.
    4. Click Add, click the user that you want to give send as rights to, and then check
send as under allow in the Permissions area.
4.5  Remove all other permissions granted by default so only the
    send as permission is granted.
    5. Click OK to close the dialog box.

  • Single mailbox manage permissions issues full access/send as

    Exchange 2010 SP3 RU7
I have a weird issue with one mailbox.  This user has 2 AD accounts.  Say "userprimary" and "usersecondary".  This user was set up by another admin that is no longer here.  "userprimary" is the actual mailbox
    account.
User logs on to workstation using "usersecondary" AD credentials and manually sets up outlook 2010 to connect to "userprimary" mailbox.  The userprimary mailbox has manage full access permissions assigned to it for the usersecondary
account.  The userprimary mailbox does NOT have "send as permissions" set up.  When the user logs in with "usersecondary" he can access the mailbox fine but can also send email.  In theory he shouldn't be able to send as
there are no send as permissions set up on the "userprimary" mailbox.
How is this happening and what can I check to resolve this.

Userprimary account > manage full access > add usersecondary account.
Userprimary account > manage send as > nothing exists here.
Person logs onto workstation as usersecondary ad account
Person configures outlook to use userprimary account. (supplies no additional credentials)
Person launches outlook and is able to open userprimary account and send and receive emails.
Both AD accounts are Domain Admins.
Person doesn't need to have under the userprimary account, send as permissions with the usersecondary account specified.  Reason seems that in AD, domain admins have 'send as' and 'receive as' set for all accounts.
