how do I change my answers to security questions when i cant remember them to get in to do that i can access my account with password but cant remember answer to security questions can anyone help

Apple has new security features with your Apple ID. With this new system in place, when a purchase is attempted from a new device or computer, the store selects, at random, two of the three challenge questions for your Apple ID to verify that you are the account owner. If the questions are answered incorrectly ten times, your account becomes temporarily locked. When your account is locked, you cannot make purchases using any device that has not previously used the Apple ID. It also prevents you from changing your challenge questions. in order to add this feature to existing iTunes Store accounts, Apple had to pre-set the questions on some Apple ID's that did not set security questions.
Most people think they just forgot the answers, but the truth is you never set them up originally becuase they were not requested from Apple. So now, you got thousands of Apple ID's who all need to reset their questions.
If you dont have access to your email address, then you can't do anything. If you dont have the password for your Apple ID, you can reset it using Apple's My Apple ID(search online), but if you dont have access to the email address, you cant receive the reset email.

All I can say is if you have the password to your Apple ID(iTunes Store account) sign in to http://appleid.apple.com with your Apple ID and follow these steps:
1. Click the "Manage your account" link
2. Enter your Apple ID and password then click "Sign in"
3. Click "Password and Security" on the left
4. Enter your new security questions and answers then click Save
5. Click Sign Out in the upper right-corner of the site
If you dont have the password for your account and you dont have access to your email for your Apple ID, I suggest you locate a purchase in your iTunes Store purchase hisotry and then "Report a Problem" select the security topics(if possible) and send an email to iTunes Store Support telling them of the situation.
You will be sent some troubelshooting, but when push comes to shove, iTunes Store support can reset your iTunes Store account password and reset the security questions for your account. This is exactly what people who never gave security answers when they created the account need to do. The questions need to be cleared and then you can sign into your account and select new questions and answers.
Why is all this happening? Blame the parents who allow their 3 yr olds to play with thier iphones and ipads that have their credit cards posted to thier Apple ID's and pretent they never new it was possible for the kids to buy hundreds of dollars of apps and music.

I have a feeling I'll be searching for a new IM and net-calling provider soon, if this doesn't get fixed...
    To be honest, I've been patient with every crash, every freeze, every update that looked more hideous than the previous, but this is the last straw.

    Thanks for reply. Have done this already. Been spending 48 hours solving all the hardware issues that iOS 7 has caused. I have hardware issues that I never had before update. Had my beef with apple customer service that resulted in Apple being very keen on charging me £200+ for fixing iPad or advising me to buy anew iPad.
    Result is that microphone is dead since update after resetting to factory setting 3 times!
    Xmas will buy a nexus or samsung, fed up with the bad customer service, the poor software updates, 2 years for a £500 iPad is a bad return on money.
    Apple take note!

  • Apps not showing up in privacy settings, Skype not working

    Skype was working okay, but today, when I tried to call someone from my phone, it said i had to allow skype to use the mic, but I had already done that. I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!

    Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, programs are not being listed in settings to use certain features. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • After upgrading to FF 7. When I change my Privacy settings to Use custom settings and check ok, the changes are not saved.

    In Privacy Settings: When I change the FireFox will: to "use custom settings for history" and check ok, the setting isn't saved. After I close, then reopen the Privacy Settings tab, the setting for FireFox will: is back to "remember history"

  • Everytime I change my privacy settings, it never stays which is an issue because I can't use Gmail since my cookie settings never stay on.

    I only want to use Firefox, but for the longest time I've had to keep Chrome as a backup browser because that is the only way I can view my gmail account. I want to view it on Firefox, but a cookies issue won't let me. Every time I go into my privacy settings and change it to custom, it never stays. I will change it, and immediately go back to the privacy settings and notice that my last changes haven't been saved. I reset my Firefox to factory settings, as well as started my Firefox in safe mode and tried to see if add-ons would be causing an issue (they weren't, as add-ons are disabled in safe mode and gmail still wouldn't let me in...). How can I make my privacy settings stay permanently to my custom settings please? I would very much like to get rid of chrome and only use Firefox.

  • Not showing recent calls, and privacy settings

    Im so confused. All of a sudden, my iphone 4 is glitching. Here are the problems
    1)its not showing my recent or missed calls at all, unless a voice mail is left
    2) in the privacy settings, its not allowing me to allow apps access to my photos
    3)my photo apps (including instagram) wont open
    I tried doing a hard reset on the phone, and that didnt work. I also tried removing the apps and restoring them in itunes and that didnt work either.

    Oh No! I'm extremely sorry to learn that you're having issues with your wireless device. I understand the importance of having consistent access to your device at all times. I want to make sure we work on a resolution right away. I do appreciate you completing a hard reset on the device. When this process was completed, how did you do this? Have you plugged your device into iTunes to process a full factory restore? Have you taken your device into a local Apple or VZW store for a hands on evaluation? Please keep us posted, thanks!

  • Clarification on different Safari privacy settings

    Recently I was reviewing the different privacy settings in Safari and between web searches and the help file I wasn't able to find the difference between these two settings.
    Allow from current website only
    and
    Allow from websites I visit
    I tried both settings out and visited the same websites and it appears to track/add the same cookies.
    I was hoping someone could shed some light on the differences between these two options.

    Manage cookies and website data
    Allow from current website only: Safari accepts cookies and website data only from the website you’re currently visiting. Websites often have embedded content from other sources. Safari does not allow these third parties to store or access cookies or other data.
    Allow from websites I visit: Safari accepts cookies and website data only from websites you visit. Safari uses your existing cookies to determine whether you have visited a website before. Selecting this option helps prevent websites that have embedded content in other websites you browse from storing cookies and data on your Mac.

    Hi,
    I am trying to find the option in GPO to set privacy settings and sites for IE 11. Does anyone know how this can be done?
    Through Internet settings, the privacy settings are greyed out, through the admx templates, I can't find an option.

    Prior to IE10, we can utilize Internet Explorer Maintanence(IEM) to configure IE Privacy settings. However, beginning from IE10, IEM has been deprecated in favor of Group Policy Preferences, Administrative Templates (.admx), and the Internet
    Explorer Administration Kit 10 (IEAK 10).  We can use IEAK11 to manage Privacy settings for IE11.

  • Facebook Privacy Settings Lumia 800

    Since last week, all messages posted from my Lumia 800 to Facebook have been posted with the 'Only Me' privacy setting. Previously I was able to post no problem with the Privacy set as 'Public'.
    As far as I can see there are no options on the phone for privacy settings, and others that I know using Lumia phones have no problems sending messages to Facebook.
    Does anyone know what could be causing this, and what the solution would be. I am posting messages from the 'Me Tile' and not from a Facebook app, though if I post from a Facebook app I have the same problem.

    I have encountered this one wherein all my post created under Hotmail are set to "Only Me". You can try to check these settings and see if it will make any difference:
    Go to Hotmail>Sign in your account>Under Messenger Social>Click on Add>Manage services
    You will have a list of linked accounts to your Microsoft account. Under Facebook, click on Edit and put a check mark to "Share to Facebook".

  • Where are iTunes sync settings stored?

    After upgrading to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, the sychronization settings it iTunes appear to have been reset on my Macbook Pro. Another strange thing about this "reset" is the only settings affected were those for Music and Video.
    I had updated several apps on the Macbook and needed to sync those apps to my iPhone, as well as a couple purchased on the iPhone since my last sync with the Mac. So ... I connected my iPhone to the Macbook, and after reconizing my phone the "Sync" button became activated. Since I was on the Summary page, I suspected no changes, as I had made none, and the Capacity bar was full to about .2GB Free, as expected. I pressed the "Sync" button as usual.
    Somewhere between steps 1 and 2 (or during step 2), the Capacity bar dropped  to Green, Yellow and a sliver of Orange with 23.2GB Free?!? Whassup?? As there was no method (I am aware of short of powering down the laptop) to pause/stop sync in progress, which I suspect would be dangerous anyway, I was forced to let it complete. After it finished. I checked my iPhone and the music and videos had all been removed. When I examined the sync settings in iTunes, I noticed the Sync Music and Sync Movies check boxes were selected. All other check boxes below them for Music: Playlists, Artists, Albums, Genre, Include music videos; and Movies: Movie Names, had mysteriously been unselected.
    Since all my files are still in the proper folders on the Macbook Pro, and I use Time Machine, I am not concerned about file loss. What I am concerned with is how did this happen and where are these settings stored, so I do not have to go through ehem all and reselect each and every one to prevent this from recuring in the future. The technician and his manager could not find the location of these settings, as we tried replacing an older version from Time Machine to no avail.
    Could anyone please tell me where the Synchronization settings in iTunes are stored, so I might be able to recover the proper file and not have to reselect each sub-selection to return my music and videos to the iPhone? I can Restore my iPhone from the backup just prior to the Sync; however, these does nothing to prevent the incorrect iTunes Sync settings from removing my music and video next time to transfer/sync upgraded apps.

    I think the device stores those selections along with which library they belong to. That's why you get the prompt to erase and reload with a different library. If you had restored the backup taken immediately before the upgrade that would probably have restored your selections.

    Do you have a computer around?  You could try plugging your iPad in and deleting uneeded apps, songs, movies, etc. using iTunes.

  • My facebook profile photo shows up on an email to a friend who has a yahoo email address, but is not my Facebook friend. All my FB privacy settings are at the max. Is this a Yahoo privacy issue? I don't want my photo to go to other than FB friends.

    I recently sent an email to a friend, who is NOT a Facebook friend, who has a yahoo email account, and my Facebook profile picture appeared next to the email. My privacy settings on FB only allow FB friends to see my photo. Why is another yahoo account that is not a FB friend seeing my profile photo and is there a Yahoo privacy setting that will eliminate this from happening? Thank you.

    Facebook may have changed them as part of a software update.
    Is there a link in that email (signature) with a link to that picture?
    Try to send an email to yourself.

    I changed the privacy settings on Firefox preferences, including clearing cookies, history and cache, and now Firefox will not open at all. It said it had to restart after one of the privacy changes, but it didn't and now won't open by the dock icon or thru applications.
