Manage multiple computers from out side

Hi ,
i want to manage 2 computers from out side my network. Ihave time machine, dynamic ip, wha ti wanted is able to log in from out side to this 2 computers. what is the best option ?

power mac, you could use other software like timbuktu or logmein. If you wanted to you Apple Remote Desktop, you would have to set up VPN so the mac you would be using to control the other ones is part of the network.

We have two named instance in "test" server. the names like test\a & test\b... The tcp\ip for test\a is dynamic and for test\b is default port 1433... Now customer requested to install the default instance...we had an issue with installation
that is the default port number is in use so, the default installation failed and then i changed the settings in registry to use the dynamic port for default instance and then i manually start the sql servers...seems all are good...but when i connecting this
default instance from out side of the box through SSMS it's pointing to the named instance which one having the default port number(test\b).
We can change the port number for test\b and assign that port to default instance...but the applications which are connecting to the test\b those are using the default port number...so, we don't want to disturb the connectivity...
is there any way to fix this issue with out changing the port number for test\b ?
it is urgent...we have to fix this issue ASAP..

Glad to hear the issue is resolved.
As your post, if SQL Server is configured to use dynamic port,
it is difficult for application connectivity because the port number selected changes every time that the Database Engine is started.
From your description, you have changed the dynamic port number to static port number. To avoid a common pitfall, please also ensure that
you have deleted the entry (0 or some random port) for dynamic port in SQL Server Configuration Manager. For more details, please review this

I have enabled FBA on my sharepoint foundation 2013. I am using default login page for login mechanism. While accessing pages from the SharePoint server, login mechanism works successfully. But when I am trying to open same site from out side the network,
it shows the login page but its showing error message when clicking on "Login" button.
From the co-relation Id I am getting below error message.
"Cannot get Membership Provider with name "mycutomprovider". The membership provider for this process was not properly configured. You must configure the membership provider in the .config file for every SharePoint process"
Any suggestion ?

According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you accessed the site with FBA from outside.
Did you add the membership provider settings to the machine.config or to each web.config files?

I have been sharing my iPod with the family, and want to get my son his own for his birthday. Can I manage both iPods from the same computer? Does the iTunes software have the ability to "recognize" which iPod unit is attached? I'm dying to get his music out of my iPod ...

Create new playlist and put the music you want in it.

In jboss can i able do the following?.
i instlled jboss appserver in C:/ drive, Shal i keep my context out side of the application server like D:/application/contenx1.war.
Now. can i able to map this D:/application folder to jboss.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

Hi,
Maintaining multiple GL accounts is good way because you would not know clear picture for each type of investments in same bank.
Whenever management is asking for details for different type of investments in same bank, then it will give us trouble.If it is not required you happily use single GL for multple investments.

Can't Log in from out side the network

FCS loaded onto an xserve, running 10.5.2. I can connect to FCS when I am on the network, but when I am outside of the network, I can get the "Welcome to Final Cut Server" page. I can open the log in screen, but when I try to log in, I get "Connect Timed out".
Anybody have an idea.
I am thinking it is something in the hardware firewall, but I have all of the ports that are supposed to be open, according to

How long ago did you read that document? It used to list a port 8991, but now lists port 8891. Maybe that's it?
Try running Network Utility and doing a port scan on your public IP to see what ports are open. Maybe there is one you need to add to your firewall's open ports.

But I would add another.. if you want to use a windows computer from outside the network you will need something else again .. vpn is the most suitable. You need a vpn router with ability to handle the tunnel creation.

Accessing env-entry from out side bean

          I have my env-entry element declared in ejb-jar.xml like this

          and if I access that value from the EJB(MDB) of that ejb-jar.xml, it is giving the right value. But when I am trying to retrieve the same from a java class, that is throwing exception "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'ConfigFile' Resolved ; remaining name 'ConfigFile'"
          I think this is because env-entry has access to only EJB or MDB to maintain security?
          or can env-entry elemenets cab be accessed outside the EJB and some thing I am doing wrong here?
          can some one help me here?

The java:comp/env namespace is local to the J2EE component (ie the EJB).
          You could certainly have a business method that returned the value and call the business method from a java class.
          Or your EJB could lookup the env-entry in JNDI and store it in another data structure.

The short answer is Yes.

You would have to change the code below in there to a new one, that does the trick.

Use clearWSDLCache() method that is part of the IBPELDomainHandle Interface.
The final code will look like

Managing multiple itunes accounts on a single computer

I have an iPod and an iPad that use a single iTunes account on a certain PC. I have a second iPod that I have setup on a second computer which also has its own separate iTunes account (because at the time I didn't understand you can manage multiple devices from a single account/computer). This second iPod has iPod apps I have purchased from my second iTunes account. I would like to change this and manage my second iPod from my main computer (so everything lives in one place). When I hooked the second iPod up to my main computer I picked the option to "transfer purchases to this computer". It acted like it was doing it, but I noticed nothing transferred. I unplugged the device and plugged it back in, and a dialogue box told me this iPod contained 33 applications that were NOT authorized to play on this computer and would not transfer them. It said I needed to authorize the computer to do that. My PC is already authorized with my main account and I don't want to mess that up. Can I authorize my computer for my second itunes account and have it authorized for both? Am I allowed to take apps I've purchased for the ipod that is on account 1 and install any of those apps on the ipod that is associated with account 2? I've purchased all these apps, I just did not understand from the get go that there was no need for me to setup 2 completely different itunes accounts. The second iPod I am going to give to my young daughter as a toy, but I absolutely don't want to mess up my iPad and first iPod as I use them for work on a daily basis. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Sign out of the itunes store under the first account, then _sign back in_ with 2nd.

Don't worry, lots of people made this same mistake. It will be kind of a hassle remembering to authorize both accounts in the future, but it's manageable. You know that license agreement that comes up after an itunes update? I think you'll have to go in under both accounts and agree to it from now on.
