Managed System Config: Wily BC path /usr/sap/ SID /JC instance is not a directory for BI Java Instance
We are getting error message "Wily BC patch /usr/sap/<SID>/JC06 is not a directory while doing managed systems setup. System verification is successful. The Java directory should be /usr/sap/<SID>/J06 in our case, which is showing correctly in LMDB. Any idea?
I have done the usual resynch SLD, Rerun system verification and reset managed systems configuration etc.
Hi Tariq,
Please enter complete path like below and check :
/usr/sap/<ManagedSID>/<InstanceID>/ByteCodeAdapter
Also check below SAP note for details :
1943583 - Wily Agent Directory files are Missing after Network loss - Solution manager 7.1
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards,

How to add managed system in Wily introscope system
Hi All,
Can anyone provide the document on how to add managed system in Wily Introscope?
With Regards
AshutoshHello,
The documentation for WilyIntroscope is located at
http://service.sap.com/diagnostics
> Media Library
Here you can find user guides and installation guides for WilyIntroscope.
But the overview is you install Enterprise Manager on a server that becomes the EM Server and then IS Agents on the managed system. There is an installation guide for EM and this ISAGENT setup is part of managed system setup in Solman_setup.
Your tools to manage are Webview and Workstation, and there is documentation for these at the above mentioned link as well.

MohsinHi Gaurav,
I got the issue, problem was that the reginfo and secinfo on my ABAP system which was connected to my JAVA system, it was not allowing the requests to pass through and hence it was not getting registered. I deactivated the parameters of reginfo and secinfo and its now working fine.
I will look into the issue of where i went wrong with reginfo/secinfo -
PDF files are stored to /usr/sap/ SID SYS/global
True or False --> When a PDF file is generated from within SAP the spool file is stored in /usr/sap/<SID>SYS/global
After a recent upgrade to ECC 6 I'm noticing that a large number of SPOOL* files are in the global directory. Each spool file has 3 components a SPOOL.cfg, SPOOL.xfd and a SPOOL*.ps file .When I examine the spool number using SP01 I see that these jobs all have an output type of PDF. Only files of type PDF appear in the global directory. It does not matter which output device is used. No output device in my system is defined to write to the global directory. Everything is set up to store files to the database.
My assumption is that the generation of a PDF format requires a temporary storage area to convert the data from the "Device Type" setting for the printer (such as Postscript or HPGL) to the PDF format and that the /usr/sap/<SID>SYS/global directory is used for this purpose.
Is there a parameter setting that allows me to modifiy this "conversion" location?Assumptions:
---> You are running on Unix - I don't have instructions for Windows, but they would be analogous
---> Your System ID is TX1
---> 2Gb is big enough to hold your Adobe files
1.) Create a 2Gb file system named /AdobeFiles
2.) Create the required directories under this new file system
- For example: /AdobeFiles/300ADSP
3.) Verify that the user <sid>adm can write to the directory created in step 2
4.) Apply SAP note 1327372
5.) Rename the filesystems that SAP note 1327372 creates
- For example: mv /usr/sap/TX1/SYS/global/300ADSP /usr/sap/TX1/SYS/global/300ADSP-ORG
6.) Create a symbolic link for the required directory to the directory created in step 2
- For example: ln -s /AdobeFiles/300ADSP /usr/sap/TX1/SYS/global/300ADSP
7.) Test your link
cd /usr/sap/TX1/SYS/global/300ADSP
touch TestFile
cd /AdobeFiles/300ADSP/TestFile
Your file should have been created in /AdobeFiles/300ADSP -

Hello
I have problem in saint "Temporary log /usr/sap/trans/tmp/SAPRITAC2D.BT7 not found". Is there any workaround? I would need to import this add-on up to the end (currently I am in
(Error in phase: XPRA_EXECUTION
Reason for error:TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY
Return code: 0008
Thank you in advanceThese kind of errors usually happen when the system is shutdown abnormally during a patch installation. You can try reset the transport buffer by doing the following:
- SE37, using function module OCS_RESET_QUEUE, test/execute. Use the value 'SAINT' for IV_TOOL. Try executing first without specifying IV_FORCE value of X.
- Remove all files in /usr/sap/trans/tmp or simply move them somewhere else if you're not sure. Make sure no tp processes are running.
- Try import the package again.

Portal can not work with abnormal increased /usr/sap/SID file space
hi experts,
I got a problem today on our HR portal.
At first I can't login the nwa, then I checked tha OS of portal, I saw that the file system /usr/sap/SID's used spaces increase very quickly, though I increase the free spaces for emergency use, the portal still can not work and the free space is still missing. I just solved by restart the SAP service.
Did anyone face the same problems before?
System information
OS --> AIX v5.3
Database --> Oracle 10.2.0.2
SAP --> netweaver 2004s SP12.Hi,
This happens when your archive log file of the application increases,
Check the folder usr/sap/sid/instance/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/archive folder this is the reason for your disk space increase. Just take a backup and delete the files in the archive folder (except temp folder).
The deletion of older archive files is not handeled by SAP, you have to manually delete the archive logs.

Vamshi. -

SMSY Data Source changes after performing Managed System Config
Hello everyone,
I am working with Solman EHP1 SPS26. I have setup up my central SLD to push system data to my Solman local SLD which is then retrieved from Landscape Fetch to SMSY. Initially, everything seemed to be working and all data sources reported SLD.
However, once I performed the Managed System Confirguration wizard for a particular technical system, that systems data source would change to TMS/RFC under SMSY. It's actually not even that consistent. For example, the server says source is RFC, the product system says TMS/RFC and some of the product instances still say SLD.
Is this normal for this to happen after connecting a managed system? Will these systems still be updated via the SLD considering SMSY_SETUP is configured to use the SLD?
Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.
AlexHello,
If you notice in SMSY this is not an editable field.
It is reporting the last datasource used.
Thefore when you made a change via managed system setup that became the last data source used.
So yes it is normal to see this change.
If you have configured the datasource to be the SLD, it should continue to update these systems.
Where you need to watch out is making manual changes in SMSY, as the SLD can view this as a different system to the SID it knows and will generate systems with known SIDs appended with a suffix variable to distinguish it, as the SLD will not overwrite manual changes, and will create new systems instead.
But the field in SMSY reflects the last data source used.
Hope this helps some.

SDA hdbsdautil does not exist in /usr/sap/ SID /home
I am looking to test ODBC connections for SDA per this document:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706d9725-7087-3110-6d9e-91be8ad377d6?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&59064390315971
But hdbsdautil does not exist in my home folder.
I am able to see that program under exe:
/sapmnt/<SID>/exe/linuxx86_64/HDB_1.00.70.00.386119_1342680
But when I execute there I see the following error:
error while loading shared libraries: libhdbrskernel.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any thoughts?Hi Sebastian,
Of course the program hdbsdautil is not in the home directory, as it resides in the exe directory of the SAP HANA software.
server:/usr/sap/HBW/HDB10> which hdbsdautil
/usr/sap/HBW/HDB10/exe/hdbsdautil
server:/usr/sap/HBW/HDB10>
It seems it was not included in the initial SP07 release of HANA 1.0 and an update to the latest version on SP07, which is Rev. 73 is anyway recommended.

Document management system configs and status
Can anybody tell me the configs and flow of document status and document version in DMS....
VijayHi Vijay,
Document Versioning in DMS can be controlled as per the following selection criteria,
Value Description
0 No version numbers
1 Numeric version numbers 00 .. 99
2 Numeric version numbers 01 .. 99
3 Alphanumeric numbers A0 .. Z9
4 Alphanumeric numbers A1 .. Z9
5 Alphanumeric numbers AA .. ZZ
6 AA .. AZ,A0 .. A9;BA .. Z9
7 as 6, but without 0
8 _A .. Z ; AA .. Z9
9 as 5, but 00 allowed
A as 6, but 00 allowed
for USER-EXIT
in dc10, the number which u select automatically controls the version each time you create a document under same document number/doc type/doc part.
if you need to create a document under user-defined version or manually entered number then you can choose ur version which lies between the range selected.
There is no such unlock status displayed on Document info record (DIR).
beside document status you can see something called as "Not Released" indicator in red colour.
the document status changes from "Not Released" to "Released" once the status is set in which setting is done.
for configuration,
dc10>select doc type>click on define document status-->create new statuses if required/double click on the final status (say Released) and set the status "Release Flag".
under "Status type set to 'S' locked status".
save and create a document.
prior you need to set the status network using system defined statuses or even you can create your own user defined statuses.
once the status is set to Released, automatically document will set to Released along with the release date and also it will get locked so dat it cannot be further edited by anyone.
Thank You,
Manoj
