Manager can update membership list checkbox delegation

Hi all,
How can I delegate some users to check / uncheck the checkbox "Manager can update membership list" under the "Managed By" tab of group.
I was found the way to grant them the delegation to change the "Managed By" user, but when they click OK after checking the checkbox "Manager can update membership list" they received the error message: "an error was encountered
when trying to set the correct security settings for this manager to manage this object".

Hi Oren,
Based on my tests, we need to grant the user “Modify permissions” on the distribution group, then it can check/uncheck the “Manager can update membership list” checkbox.

    According to your description, you might want to update a list item after a task is completed in SharePoint Designer workflow.
    By default, the workflow will stuck at a “Assign a task” action. When the “Task Status” become “Completed”, other actions afterwards will go on.

  • Screen update and list update issue

    Hi,
    Using one data service , I am display list of manufactuerer(with 3-4 info). When any manufacturere selected, information for that manufactuerer will be displayed and modify using other data service. But some information like changed by and changed need to change in the screen modify insite "SAVE" data service. How screen can be refereshed?
    Other question: I am opening a pop up to create a manufactuerer, but not able to update list after creation. Ho I can update manufactuerer list after a new manufactuerer creation?

  • Trouble updating Application Manager so I can update to Acrobat XI

    I've tried a number of times to download Acrobat XI. Before it will download, Application Manager opens, but an updater then starts running. About 75% of the way through I get this error message:
    "Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit."
    That's nuts! I'm doing it right from the Adobe site. I've tried rebooting and starting over, but I get the same message. How do I get past this to update the Application Manaager so I can update my software?

    My Adobe Tech support guy helped me find the Adobe Application Manager download file on my computer. We simply ran it again from the download and it worked fine this time. Something wrong with the previous installation of AAM on my PC-based system (windows 7). I'm installing Acrobat XI Pro now.

    I am receiving the following error, while tring to update Distribution list from OWA 2013:
    "The group can't be updated right now. Please try again later"
     I have searched, but the discussion are mentioning the possibility of old Distribution List migrated from Old Exchange 2003. But I am still getting this error for newly created Distribution List also.

  • Sharepoint Foundation Can not update External List by Work Flow

    I try to update External List by other list Work Flow, in Sharepoint 2010 Foundation.

    With no Secure Store in Sharepoint what we ended up doing was creating a new external content type, adding a new connection and picking a connection type of .net type instead of sql.  This means we needed to create a .net app as the go between but within
    .net we had all the usual tools for connecting to sql without permission issues.

  • Update SharePoint list programatically twice a day with SQL 2008 r2

    How complicate is to sustain the update  SharePoint list programatically twice a day by using SQL job?
    the data need  to be update twice a day and it is going o be use to feed a share point form...where the user(S) will be choosing by lookup in infopath form.
    BTW..I do not have control of the SharePoint farm, I have MS SQL 2008 R2 and SharePoint version is 2010. 
    Or Also I am considering to use  MS access 2010 and SharePoint version is 2010.

    That list may not be all-inclusive, but it might give you a hint as to who you pay your bill to every month.

  • Webform - List (Checkbox) Not accepting variables

    I am having problems with a List (Checkbox) element on a webform where it will not save the text for the options that is entered. I enter the text i want and then save it and it shows with nothing. If it does save it properly and I go to edit or add any options it deletes everything.
    Please investigate and advise.

    Hi Rob,
    If making a change to the form you'll need to first apply it within the admin via site manager -> web forms. 
    In this case add the text for the checkbox then save.  Go to the page with the form insert and replace with a fresh copy. 
    If still stuck please provide the form's url and the text information you want to add so we can assist further.

    Now i want to update the Delegated Administrator with the 119778-09.jar patch, but the error show:

  • Include updated website lists from Microsoft - Not greyed out

    Hi,
    As per description of the Group Policy setting "Include updated website lists from Microsoft" on GPMC console, by disabling this setting, the Microsft-provided lists are not used and the user will not be able to activate the feature.
    If you disable the setting under "Policies\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Compatibility View\Include updated Web site lists from Microsoft" the checkbox is detached but it is not greyed out.
    I have tried to set the policy under Computer Settings, User setting and also making a Registry edition under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\BrowserEmulation by setting "MSCompatibilityMode" to "1" but the behaviour
    is still not  the desired.
    Does anybody know if there is any way to grey out this setting?

    This policy controls the website compatibility lists that Microsoft provides. The updated website lists are available on Windows Update.
    If you enable this policy setting, the Microsoft-provided website lists are used during browser navigation. If a user visits a site on the compatibility lists, the pages are automatically displayed in Compatibility View.
    If you disable this policy setting, the Microsoft-provided website lists are not used. Additionally, the user cannot activate the feature by using the Compatibility View Settings dialog box.
    If you do not configure this policy setting, the Microsoft-provided website lists are not active. The user can activate the feature by using the Compatibility View Settings dialog box
    my comments:
    the check for updates to the MSCVL is done the FIRST time the iexplore.exe process is started...
    Try rebooting the computer or closing all open IE processes to see if the changes have taken effect.
    Check if you have installed and activated Enterprise Mode which will over-ride any MSCVL settings.
    Please provide a link to the website where you are seeing the 'undesired' behavior....
    the google Plus web page plugin can change outcomes for x-ua meta determination.

  • Need to update the list item in the same sharepoint list with particular condition with Sharepoint Designer 2013.

    Hi All
    I have one sharepoint list with huge data i.e with 20columns and more than 200 records with the fields .
    Suppose lets consider there are A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H columns.
    Now i want to create one form with the fields A,C,E.
    When the user enter the existing data of list for columns A,C..based on C value the E column value should change and update that particular item in the list.
    Please guide me without visual web part can we acheive this by Sharepoint designer 2013 or what would be the preferable solution.
    Please help me on this as it is very urgent from me..

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to update the list item in the same sharepoint list with particular condition with Sharepoint Designer 2013.
    I recommend to create workflow associated to the list and then start the workflow automatically when an item is changed.
    In the workflow, you can add condition and actions as below:
    If current item: C equal to Test1
         Set E to Test2
    Then the value of the filed E will be changed based on the value of the filed C.
    In addition, if you create the form using InfoPath, you can add rule to the filed C as below:

  • Problem with Pages.  I have recently been unable to open Pages, or any documents from Pages on my iMac.  Pages seems to be in the Cloud and can open a list of the documents in Pages, but can't open any of those documents.

    Recently unable to open Pages or any documents therein.  It seems to be stuck in the Cloud.  Although I can open a list of the documents I can not open any of the documents. 

    The answer is simple...  If you want to remedy this, then don't save them as PDFs.
    Word opens Word and text documents.  Not PDFs.
    Also note that this forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office or your question in any way.     Hello, I'm developing an app in JPA, still learning this, I'm displaying some checkboxes which I save into a List, then I separate the selections and put them into an Array, which I convert into String and that's what I store into MySQL table, this is what I have on the index.xhtml file:

    The method checkboxList is in charge of generating the checkboxes and assign a value and name, and the method "selectedItems" is the List<String> that stores the selected checkboxes values, so what I save into the table is something like this: "1,4,6,7" but I don't know how to retrieve the selections and check the checxkboxes according the what the user have on the table:
