Manager not able to approve leave of the employee on the MSS
Hi There,
When the manager execute the work item on the portal, a run time error occurs on SAP and as discribed on ST22, is caused by function module HR_HK_DIFF_BT_2_DATES which returns a CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW exception. I Think that this function is supposed to return the difference between the start date of the leave and the end date of the leave. but on the trace, it looks like it is not receiving the end date of the leave. I cannot manage to simmulate the problem in development.
Some managers are able to approve and some can't however they have the same roles and their recored are same on HR.
Can you help me to track the real cause of this problem?

The oss note that you recomended was applied as we are runing ECC6.
I addition, the problem is pointing at the following statment:
years = ( l_date3+0(4) + ( l_total_number_days / days_in_year ) ).
I want to think that the end date2 is not supplied to the function, that is the reason why it is failling.
But why would date2 not be passed to the function???
Even if it is one day leave, date2 is supposed to be passed to the function with the same value as date1 !!!
What can be the next point of investigation????

Please help me in solving this below issues.
EE has applied for leave thro ESS. Manager have recd a confirmation from Work flow system . But the same is not reflecting in Manager MSS . Therefore he is not able to approve the same . However, Manager is able to approve the leave for others.
I cheked in PO13 and the realationship and dates are perfect. Can anyone tell me what could be the reason.
IS there any T-code to check the Email communication that both had.Hi,
Please check the workflow log in the system using transaction SWI1 for the date on which the EE has applied for leave,
check the Agent assigned for approving the leave by clicking on the Agent button - confirm that this is the same manager.
Also this is assuming that in MSS under the UWL other employees leave requests are visible,
so as to eliminate portal side issues.

MSS Issue - Manager not able to see his subordinates.
Hello All,
I have an issue in ESS/MSS. The manager is not able to see his suordinate in MSS.
Scenario 1 - In 'A' org unit, there are many employees & one of them has been made as Chief position. In this scenario tha manager is able to see his subordinates.
Scenario 2 - In 'B' org unit there is only one position & he has been made as Chief in that org unit. In the strucutre there is no org unit which is under this org unit. But the realtionship S to S B002 (is line supervisor of) have been mainatined with many other positions. But these positions belongs to other org units. It means the positions who is reports to the other position are belongs to different org units.
In this 2nd scenario the manager not able to see his subordinates in MSS.
Hence can anybody explain why the manager not able to see his subordinates. Whether it is standard functionality or is their any settings in which this can be achieved.

DanielIn most of the iViews in MSS the evaluation paths used in the ODAP (Object and Data Provider) are based around the Organisational assignments. Typically for most iViews in MSS they follow the path:
Find Position of Manager
Find Org Units managed by that Position
Find all Positions within that Org Unit
Find employees in those positions.
i.e. they don't look at position-to-position relationships.
We had a situation similar to you where we didn't want this path following in all cases; you have to
1. create your own Evaluation Paths (T778A)
2. create new object selections and link them to new object view groups
Integration with Other mySAP.com Components > Business Packages / Functional Packages > Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP) > Object and Data Provider
3. assign the new view groups to the groupings in table V_PTREQ_TEAM.
There's quite a few steps, but once you get your head around what's happening it's not too bad - let me know if you need further details.

I've just updated my iPad to iOS 7.02 and I'm not able now to download new apps nor update the version of the existing ones. All of them are "waiting"... for ever.Even, when trying to download a new app, a "dratf" icon appears on the ipad, not the app's own icon...
I've tried to switch off and on the iPad, disconnect and reconnect the itunes id... and nothing works. Even deleting an app, to download it again, doesn't work. It even doesn't ask for my password!!! (Stays with the small square with a circle around, the one that gets "bolder" while downloading... but it doesn't get bolder now. Just stay...).
Any suggestions? I wouldn't like to reset the iPad, since I've got data in some apps that I wouldn't like lo loose...
By the way, I can not either delete some apps with thos "draft" icons... even when the alert that appears when trying to do that is shown and select "ok".

Thank you, Once_was_lost, but it doesn't work either. I tried it yesterday as an option (I think you're referring to the options of those apps in the settings app).
The problems are still here... I've been able to update some apps using the PC itunes (connecting the app to it), but all the other apps are still "wating", and I have two new strange things:
* I cannnot remove the apps that are downloading (at least those that are supposed to be downolading ) . But I could remove one from the PC... and now there is an "empty line" in the "to update apps list".
* Stranger: though I cannot download new apps or music from the store, I can do in-app purchases!!! In that case, I'm asked for the password and the item downloads. How is it possible?????
I can download with the same user in the PC, in the iPhone... but not in the iPad .

my ipod app no longer works. Everytime I go to open the ipod app it stays open for a second and then shuts down. I am not able to get anything to play either through the standard ipod controls or the multitasking control panel. Latest Lithroom 5.6 does not recognize my .cr2 raw file format and Windows 7 it asociates with my older raw plug in in Ps CS5.5. I am not able to change default program for .cr2 in the properties pannel...

yes after I imported my .cr2 raw files into new catalog it started to work. Windows 7 still does not recognize them but I can edit them as you said within the Lr5.6 and then export them into .psd or .dng files...as needed.
I bought Lr5 only because I got present - my new camera Cannon 70D and because my older Photoshop CS5.5 raw plugin does not recognize. cr2 files.

Sounds like someone ripped the movie off of YouTube and it got corrupted in the process. Try getting the movie file again, or try using an alternative movie player such as VLC: http://www.videolan.org

i am not able to hear any sounds of games on the speaker. Though the sounds function on the head fones. The speaker works perfect in other applications except games.Have checked all the settings but not able to fix it.
Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and its the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
If that doesn't solve it then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Photoshop ElementsPSE and PRE have different serial numbers. If you bought both programs you should have two separate serial numbers.

Now I am trying to define operation mode using rz04. But when I define the number of dialog and background work porcess according to day time or night time. I am not able to see my spool work process in the list. It looks like:

Yes, I have set the rdisp/wp_no_spo on the instance profile and restarted the instance after update.
Now, I check the value of rdisp/wp_no_spo in RZ11.
It shows like:
Dift value______ 0
ProfileVal______ 1
Current value____ 1
So, Plesae tell me how to resolve this issue.

Not able to scroll up and down or touch the screen to go to another website. I can see everything on the page but the screen darkens a bit but everything is visible. Just no touch screen function. Can anyone provide me with a solution to this problem?
Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!
