Manager's Desktop tab changes

Hi Gurus,
I have just upgraded my system from 4.6c to ecc6.00. The manager's desktop tabs have changed from "Employee Data" to "Personal Data". How do I change this back to "employee data"?
Also the link on the front page of Manager's desktop has also changed , can somebody help me on how to change the front page of manager's desktop.

You music etc should not be affected by problems with the iTunes program, nevertheless it is always a good idea to backup your data.
You haven't said if there was any error message when you tried to start iTunes. If there was one please give it in full.
Also check to see if QuickTime works, iTunes can not work without it. If QuickTime doesn't work, it has to be fixed before worrying about iTunes.
Then restart your PC and open your Task manger and select the Processes tab.
Try to start iTunes, does iTunes.exe appear on the processes tab? If so does it disappear again or remain although the programs does not open?

How to change a report in Manager's Desktop?

Hi all,
i want to change a report in the Manager's Desktop Compensation Management.
Report name: Cost Center

When i now run the report i can see the report, but with no selection screen. I only get a finished report with fixed selection parameters

How can i change this selection parameters?
In this example i want to change the "Cost Element Group" to an other value.
When i run this report outside of the Manager's Desktop with the transaction code "S_ALR_87013611" i get the selection screen needed and can change the parameters.
It would be great if anyone could help me!

Hi Strobbel,
Execute your report via the transaction. Check the selection variants on that first selection screen. You will see the default one that came up for you and others that may have been created to default for Managers' Desktop. You can select the one that is appearing with the incorrect cost element group and change it to the correct one. Save the changed selection screen. We also have a transaction ZZBCVARIANT that can be used to change the selection screen variants.
Also, remember, the manager in Managers' Desktop may be limited due to authorizations to see data from only certain cost centers (his own).

Every time I turn my mac off, the desktop background changes. It always returns to the same picture, which was the second or third thing I changed my desktop to after getting my mac.

I have background switching unchecked in my preferences, and I have never selected it as an option. Also, when I go to my preferences, it will show the icon of the picture I changed it to, even though the desktop itself has switched back.

I would start with some basic troubleshooting.
REPAIRING DISK PERMISSIONS -
NOTE: refer to article "About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature" found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1452 - for the actual apple article on these step. ----
- click finder in the bottom dock, and in the window that opens, select applications in the left column - scroll through until you see the 'Utilities' folder and double click to open it. Then double click on 'Disk Utility'
- When prompted to select a disk volume or image, select the 'Macintosh HD' in the left column
- ensure the the "first aid" tab is highlighted blue in the middle of the screen
- click the button at the bottom that says 'Repair Disk Permissions'
- this process will take a few minutes to run. It will indicate it's done, by scrolling to the bottom of the "details area" displaying 'Permissions repair complete'

- restart your computer hold down command + R keys on the keyboard to boot you into Lion / Mountain Lion Recovery mode
- select english as your main language then the continue arrow
- select "Disk Utility" on the resulting screen then 'Disk Utility' ---

- ensure the the "first aid" tab is highlighted blue in the middle of the screen
- click the button at the bottom that says 'REPAIR DISK' .......NOT "Repair disk permissions"
- this process will take a few minutes to run. It will indicate it's done, by scrolling to the bottom of the "details area" displaying "The Macintosh HD appears OK"
If you get any other message OTHER than "The Macintosh HD appears OK", like "the Macintosh HD was repaired successfully" run the "Disk Repair" again, until it displays "The Macintosh HD appears OK".
Once done, restart the computer as normal

In Manager's desktop the employee name is displayed in Japanese on English Logon.How to change the English SAP manger approval ( in Manager's desktop) display of names from Japanese to English.
Any help/direction on this would be appreciated.

see manager's own data through menu item "System" -> "User Profile" -> "Own Data" or simply go to tcode SU3. See if his locale is set to Japan or Japanese language ?

MDT Manager's Desktop

Hello!
I customize Manager's Desktop 4.6c. My problem is to create a new szenario. I can use only redefine standard szenarios by sap. Own szenarios accept sap but don't use it. The problem is, if make sap a release what's happen with the redefine datas. According sap datas will not changed but they suggest to create a new szenario. New szenarios will not used by manager's desktop. System is a test embeding for customizing with test datas and I have all authorisations.

Manager's desktop configuration -- Functions

User log on Managers Desktop via PPMDT, there is a tab under Manager Desk Top called Employees, when clicking that tab, user can see a whole hierarchy function list, like reports. How do I customize that hierarchy function list ? User wants to show only part of functions (reports). Im very new on Manager Desktop configuration, please help. Thanks

Updating Template on Managed Personal Desktop Collection

I've created a Personal Desktop collection in Server 2012 R2 and selected "Automatically Manage Virtual Desktops" so machines are created automatically using a template. I've successfully added several Virtual Desktops to the collection,
now I need to update the template to included new patches or software. I'm not worried about updating the existing virtual desktops because they will get the patches and software from SCCM. However, I do want the changes to be part of the template
so they are immediately there for new virtual desktops that are added. I haven't found a way to do this is the Server Manager or Powershell, there is an option for recreating pooled desktops, but no way that I see to use a different or newer template
on an existing Personal Desktop collection.
Do I need to manually export the template machine to the Collections IMGS folder and overwrite what is there? Also, it doesn't make sense to delete/recreate or make a new collection for a template update.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft.
I have discussed this issue with our team. There is no supported way to do this. You would need to update the template VM and
then re-export it, both of which have to be done manually. Some things to keep in mind though…if you just update the .vhd and you’ve changed VM Settings as well, those settings will not get picked up until the VM is re-exported.

Manage Remote Desktop Settings

We have this set to "NO" in our client settings. However, I can right click on any client in the console and start the remote desktop client and connect successfully using RDP. So what exactly does the "Manage Remote Desktop Settings"
do?

If "Manage Remote Desktop" settings is set to "No", then the client leaves the settings alone. Devices should continue on with whatever they have set locally.

to what you specify.

One more alternative would be to increase the time out parameter in ABAP environment.
The steps to change this parameter:
1) txn: RZ11 -> enter the variable name rdisp/max_wprun_time
2) Display -> Change value -> Then input the value you would like        (ideally 3600)
PS:
1) Don't set this value too big, otherwise general performance will be
influenced, since lots of dialogue process will be occupied for a long
time
2) This parameter can be changed dynamically
Once the parameter is set please test again. You can try incremental
values and test which one does not give timeout error.

The default Firefox Options window doesn't have a separate tab for Downloads, those prefs are on the General tab below Startup.

Desktop Pictures: "Change Pictures" in System Prefs no longer works.

I used to have my Desktop pictures change every five minutes using a special folder of photos. This function no longer works. The setting appears to be in effect according to the System Preferences Desktop Pictures Pane but the function appears to be broken in 10.4.5. I have trashed the Destop Pictures Preferences file in the Preferences Folder, but it still will not work.
Can anyone using Tiger 10.4.5 get this to work?

OK, that was really dumb!
The reason for the problem became abundantly clear when I quit Pathfinder. Suddenly the picture change became functional again.
So, I guess Pathfinder will not follow the Finder when it comes to settings like this.
