Managing 3 profiles in Itunes
Ok, I'm hoping I've not lost my mind. My wife and I manage our 3GS Iphones (OS V. 4.2) on a Mac fully updated with latest Itunes. My daughters Itouch is also managed on this machine. (fully updated OS on that too)
I moved the itunes library to the root of the hard drive so that all user profiles on the machine can access our collection of music without replication.
here is what I'd like to do, possible?
1) have each device have its own unique profile and NOT share content, apps with the other applications. yesterday my daughter logged into the iMac as herself then launched itunes, plugged in her iTouch and searched on Free Apps within Itunes store. many of the apps were for sex positions and other highly questionable content. I quickly managed the security settings to try to avoid her having access to this stuff. Problem, BOTH of my wifes and my devices are now limited and not able to see apps/content that is rated for adults. Basically it appears that iTunes is NOT able to manage a users experience based on which device is plugged in.
Thoughts?
the separate acct on the iMac has no affect on itunes...
Because you are still using the same iTunes library.
Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select *Choose library* and select the \herusername\\Music\iTunes\ folder.
Then she will see only what is in her own library and content stored in \herusername\\Music\iTunes\.
Question though - under itunes\preferences\parental the settings seem to be global, in other words the settings will affect every device no matter who is logged in.
Have you found this to be the case?
Only if you are using the same iTunes library file as selected by holding Option at launch.

Did you use the Profile Manager or did you use reset to create that new profile?

A reset tries to import some data from the old profile and then moves the profile to the desktop, but if you use the Profile Manager then you need to copy that data yourself to the new profile.
If you've deleted the old profile before making sure that your data has been recovered then you've lost that personal data.

Just tried to download and it wants me to buy it again? Is there some way around this? I guess I thought that was the whole point of the cloud, buy it once and access from any of your devices right?
Also, I have logged into the icloud.com as suggested and will plink around there for a bit and try to understand. It is just all so dang different that what I am used to; Apple's way, that is.

Geez. one other thing (I guess I am complaining) but I bought more space in the cloud, they took my cash fast enough but have not yet increase the size of my storage space yet? Is Apple sometimes slow to get internal stuff done? -

According to your description, my understanding is that the User Profile Synchronization service stuck on ‘Starting’ or ‘Stopping’.
Please check whether you installed SQL 2012 Native Client (Pre-requisites) on SharePoint server. If yes, download and install SQL 2008 R2 Native Client from the below location:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/1/3/9138773A-505D-43E2-AC08-9A77E1E0490B/1033/x64/sqlncli.msi
From the SharePoint server ->control panel -> add/Remove programs , please confirm that the SQL 2008 Native Client is listed.
Make sure that the farm account is a member of the Administrators group on the server on which you are trying to start the User Profile Synchronization service, then restart the SharePoint Timer Service.
Set the FIM services to "Local System" before starting the service.
There is a troubleshooting for User Profile Synchronization Service start issues, please have a look at:

Managing PDF's in iTunes for iBooks is difficult.
Managing PDF's in iTunes for iBooks is difficult due to the names of the files I'm working with. The PDF will have a burned-in name, yet I want to rename the files in Windows to make them easier to find (iBooks renames the files ON THE FLY when opening the PDF's from iBooks on the iPad2). I also have several versions of the same PDF (First Edition (c) 2000, Second Edition (c) 2004, Third Edition (c) 2008, Fourth Edition (c) 2012, etc) and want to rename the files as such. Is there a way to leverage iBooks in this scenario to better meet my needs?
I was originally using Stanza in IOS4 and it COMPLETELY met my needs, but it stopped working with the release of IOS5 which forced me to iBooks. I believe that Stanza now works since they patched it. The migration to iBooks consumed a whole day and I'm still VERY unhappy with how things turned out in iBooks. I was hoping for an iBooks solution, so that I wouldn't have to redo everything all over again. Ideally, I would like to get iBooks working, else will look into moving back to Stanza, Goodreader, Adobe Reader or an Android Tablet.

Hi There,
I have added an email address to a user in the SP Manage User Profile.
When I go to my app and search/select the user to assign against a task, no email address is shown in the peoplepicker window.
One thing, the users Display Name as "Server\Username" rather than the Display Name of Bob Smith for example.
This is a non Active Directory Environment on SharePoint 2010.
Can anyone help?

There is a timer job (user profile service quick sync) that runs every 15 minutes or maybe 10 minutes, don't remember the interval without looking, against the site collection that will sync from the UPS, but you are stuck with whatever is in site collection
users until then, which will be nothing until the user profile service quick sync job runs. -

If you changed that old ID to your current ID using Manage your Apple ID, try the following to see if it will accept your current password:
1. Go to Manage your Apple ID and sign on with your current Apple ID and password. EDIT the ID and change it to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it, do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
2. Now on the iPhone, where it is asking for your password to turn off Find My iPhone, type in your current password
3. Go back to Manage your Apple ID and sign on with the old email address and your current password. EDIT the Apple ID back to your current email address. You may need to verify it again.

Question on dispute management status profile
Dear Friends,
I have a quetion on SAP FSCM dispute management status profile. While setting up the status profile we would specify the status values. A number is assigned to each status and it will have corresponding system status. In the standard delivery the numbers assinged to status are (10,20,30..etc). Does any one know what is the significance of these values? My question is it required to use this numbers or it can be anything.

The status profile is used by definition of the Case Management configuration behind each Dispute.
A number is assigned to every step, and the number controls changes in the status, and can only be moved to a new number if it is customized to do so.That forbids you to jump into undesired states...
My general recommendation is keep them in ascending order, since the default when opening a case is to give the lowest value, and generally, closed cases are 98 or 98.
Configuration is done via: SPRO->FSCM->Dispute Management->Dispute Case Processing->Status Management->Create Status Profile.

Managing ICC profiles in Photoshop
I mistakenly added the wrong profiles to Photoshop CS2 (I downloaded both the MAC and PC versions of the ICC profiles I needed for my Epson 2200 on my MAC). Now, when I go to choose a profile, there are a number of different ones and I can't tell which are the incorrect ones.
Is there any tool to manage ICC profiles so I can remove the wrong profiles? Maybe a list of the names and what they are? The names are very similar.

Why i wounder is because i dont wont 2 sync the same apps
with my Iphone4 and my Ipad.

I have to unchecked the apps I don't want before syncing my iPad. I thought that the iPad and iPhone had different profiles. did you mean, iTunes Store and then Books? thats the only thing i can find (following your notes above).
what I am trying to do is add PDF documents to iBooks and organise them into collections.
however, i have found a work around:
1. transfer the PDFs to the library (they go into Books automatically)
2. highlight/select the PDFs that I want to group
3. right click, get info, info tab
4. create a Genre.
doing this method creates categories. not as good as collections, but this will do for now.
if anyone can tell me how to create collections for iBooks (using iTunes - not iBooks on the iPad); please reply.

Talent Management Eligibility Profiles
I've been asked to create an eligibility profile that will automatically allocate objectives to employees if they are a supervisor but my client is asking what happens if that status changes i.e. would the objectives be removed if the person is no longer a supervisor or be allocated automatically if an employee becomes a supervisor and the plan is republished. Has anyone come across this and if so, is it possible to achieve this using standard talent management/eligibility profile functionality?

The objectives library is a 'master record' of objectives. If you use eleigibility profiles to automatically assign the objectives to a group of people, I think this will only occur when the plan is published. At that point a 'copy' of the objective from the library is created in the employee's scorecard. If their 'eligibility' changes, the objective will still remain.
I don't think that people who become eligible for an objective after publication of the plan will get the objectives unless the plan is republished.
