Is there a PC app for managing Apps on the touch? iTunes won't run on my PC. I use Media Monkey for songs on my iPods.

There is NOT one.
Itunes is REQUIRED.

I cannot use my synchronized computer because of hardware error. So I formatted it and now I cannot synchronize my iphone with the computer without losing data. I don't need to synchronize it but I just want to manage my music, because I want to use iPhone default music app.

You cannot change from syncing music to manually manage music without erasing the entire music library. Since you had it set to sync and want to change, iTunes assumes you want to remove the library. Since you have reformatted the computer, I would assume that you have not made a backup of your iTunes library. Managing apps via iTunes 12 causes crash

When installing apps via iTunes 12, opening the graphic view of the destination page and either clicking on the "install" button for the app or attempting to drag the icon from the list to the desired page on the device usually causes iTunes itself to crash. The destination page has been doubled-clicked and in the forefront before attempting the install. This happens both with a direct USB connection and when synching over Wi-Fi.
Two actions which sometimes seem to help are:
Synching before any rearranging or installing an app on a page, and
Using the scrollbar on the Apps list which seems to force more (all?) of the app icons to be displayed.
Probably not relevant, but I've also found that entering a portion of a file name in the Find field at the top of the Apps list often misses app names which don't appear until more than the text of the title is typed in. For example, I have the app "Listacular" which will display as found (along with 19 other apps) if I enter the text "list" in the search field, but not if I only enter "lis" for which only 3 apps are returned.
I'm wondering if this is a Yosemite issue since, for example, I do not get the "Do Not Disturb" option at the top of Notification Center until I've done a scrolling action on my "Today" list? Scroll = Swipe to Refresh?
I don't recall this ever happening with the prior version of iTunes.
I can rearrange the app's page location on the device itself, but through iTunes should be more efficient.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if Safari crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

Managing music without iTunes on my iPhone 3gs

Hi,
My partner uses iTunes for his library of music, so i am forced to use Songbird for managing my music. I got an iPhone 3gs today and now realise that I cant use Songbird to load music to it.
Is there a way of transferring music to iPhone without iTunes? I have a Unibody MacBook.

You can have multiple iTunes accounts on one machine with different music.
The only way to transfer anything to the iPhone is through a sync with iTunes.

Any trick to managing apps in iTunes 9?

Not sure if this question should be posted here or in the iTunes section ..
I have my apps on pages sorted by the application type. I have utilities on page 2, 3, Games on page 4, 5, and so on. [Aside: I wish Apple implements grouping of apps on tabbed pages. Then I can display only games if I need to, without flipping through pages of app icons].
If I install a new App, it adds the icon to the last page. If I drag and move that new app to page 2, then instead of cascading all icons through the rest of the pages, it puts the "extra" icon from the bottom of page 2 all by itself on a new page. I have to drag that on to top of page 3, and the process repeats itself until the last page has the added icon.
This is tedious. Is there any trick in application pages management so that the icons "flow" down to the next pages if I insert an app on a page?

Interesting idea but, unfortunately it didn't work. I am actually able to synch my apps by checking or unchecking one of the other options such as movies. Weird.

Help - can no longer manage apps in iTunes

I can no longer manage my Apps from my PC as the screen is greyed out. This seems to have happened when I updated iTunes software (10.1.1.4) as well as the iPod Touch (4.2.1). I have removed all restrictions on the iPod, authorized my computer, logged out and in of iTunes account, removed and reinstalled iTunes.... I'm not sure what else to try.
Any suggestions?

How to sync apps without itunes threatening to delete my apps

Whenever i try to sync the apps on my ipod to my computer itunes says they will replace the apps and their data with apps from the itunes library how do i keep my apps and still sync to itunes?

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Manage app unable to process requests

Hi i added simplified Chinese to my app ( not submitted yet) and then tried to delete the default language english.
Now the app shows in manage apps without a name just icon and when i click icon to edit app it says unable to process request.
I tries to add another app tp use in its place since i am ready to submit binary but cannot add a name as Apple says name used ( which is my other app)
What can I do !! please help

I want to install apps from itunes to my ipod and manage them manually but there is only one option to do that replaces my apps on ipod with apps in my itunes library . Is there any way to install the apps without replacing them??

Ipod touch will sync with one computer at a time. If you sync to another then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

Itunes deleting apps without request and without asking confirmation

as soon I install itunes, I have a huge slow down of all XP. Installation takes a long time, it freezes XP very often. Once it s installed, it takes a long time to start (often more than 1 minute), often freezes XP. quicktime steals the default access for mp4 files, each time I try to use explorer on a folder with MP4 files, xp freezes for minutes, it never shows previews, takes a long time to start when it effectivly starts, reads a lot less than open readers like vlc or mpc. when I try to set another reader as default reader for MP4, quicktime keeps the hand on it, cannot get rid of freezes withoout deleting quicktime, witch make itunes unavailable
LAST BONUS: after having reinstalled itunes to sync my contacts, it tried to sync the apps without beung asked (maybe because i dowloaded 2 apps on my computer) and STARTED TO DELETE ALL OTHER APPS WITHOUT ASKING CONFIRMATION DELETTING ALL MY DATAS

No, they actually thought that people would use autosync and have one master library. They didn't think that people had 3 or 4 computers that they would spread their music/videos over. Why not combine all your files on one computer?
As far as music/videos from your Aunt's computer, those aren't yours and the other reason for Apple doing what you want is they don't want people stealing music. Please don't steal music.
One more thing, on your master computer that the iPod is linked to, set it to manually manage your music and you can use it between different computers. You will have to eject it manually every time you are through syncing/charging and want to remove it.

Apps can't be deleted from iCloud as they only reside in the App store. Also, the apps themselves aren't taking up space in your iCloud account. They only thing in your iCloud account would be the app data that is backed up as part of their iCloud backup, but this generally doesn't use much space. You can check how much is being used, and eliminate specific apps from being included in the backup, by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on their device, tapping the name of their device under Backups, then checking the apps listed under Backup Options (tap Show All Apps to see them all). Turn an app to Off to exclude its app data from being backed up.

How can I view my full billing history for the app and music stores without iTunes installed?

I just received an email receipt from Paypal showing a $12.99 purchase from iTunes. I almost NEVER purchase anything over around five dollars in the app or music store. Since PayPal does not show what this purchase was for, I have not received the receipt from Apple yet, and I cannot find anyway to look up online what this purchase was for....I need help to find out ASAP what this purchase was. If my account has been compromised or if I have been incorrectly charged for something, I would like to get the issue handled immediately. I do not want to install iTunes on my PC (nor should I have to for Pete's sake), but I cannot see anything recent at all in my app or music history on my iPad (not that I would ever purchase anything for $12.99 anyway...I just don't). If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane.
