Managing eMail contacts in OID

Hi,
We're looking for a way to programaticaly manage contacts in the Corporate Directory of Collaboration suite, in OID.
I couldn't find any docs on this subject, so I had a look in the OID Schema for some clues, and found a series of orclAddressBook* classes and attributes.
I have also noticed a documented procedure that supports migrating an old Oracle Mail contacts to an OCS address book, basically by means of LDIF. This only means that LDAP is a valid way to create Address Book related objects in OID , but I found no samples of such LDIF files to base our tests on.
I will appreciate any help here, either by pointing me to relevant Documentation or sharing some useful experience.
Many thanks in advance,
Ofer.

Ah, just figured it out.  I needed to add the address icon (man in box) to both the main window and the new message window. . .

  • Email contact managing recommendations?

I use Mac OS 10 and also Verizon as my email provider.  I have reached my maximum amount of contacts allowed and can not get FIOS where I live.  I am out of room and run a small business and need to manage my contacts on a regualr basis.  I don't want to switch providers and change my email address.
Note, that I am nervous about using Mac Mail for my business in case I don't back up enough and am not really liking the how difficult it is to create a Group of contacts to email them all at once.
Does anyone recommend a compatible program etc to organize Verizon email contacts?
Thank you in advance for ANY recommendations.

    A search with this URL:
    http://www.macworld.com/search?query=mail+group
netted a couple of possibly relevant how-to articles:
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1165582/how_to_email_groups_with_mail.html
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1166192/when_and_why_to_use_group_email_services .html
The first article mentions Apple Mail's Smart Groups function, which is available in Mountain Lion but not Leopard, unfortunately. This works similarly to Smart Albums in iTunes, where a domain name or other criteria can be used to automatically generate Groups for Mail. With Mail in Leopard, Groups are more manual, as you noted.
If you use Mail or anything else on your MacBook for your business, I hope you're using Time Machine to back things up!
Out of curiosity, what model/year of MacBook are you using?

  • How do I keep my email contacts from being deleted when I delete a phone contact?

Please HELP!! I am a new iphone user and I am not understanding all this "icloud" stuff. I have "Contacts" turned off in my phone's icloud settings and on my computer's icloud settings. Every time I add or delete a contact in my phone, the same changes are made in my email contacts. There are certain contacts I need in my email that I don't need in my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if I have "Find My Iphone" turned on, do I still need an app for it to work and is it true that if a person's phone is lost or stolen it can't be tracked if someone turns off  "Find My Iphone" (if a restrictions passcode has not been set up) in the icloud settings?

  • New user. Need to know where my email contacts are on my macbook pro and how I can make a group email address

New user. Email contacts imported to MacBook pro from PC - but I'm unable to call up entire contact list or to make a group emailing contact.

Assuming you are using Apple's Mail application, contacts are managed via the Contacts application, in your application folder.  As for various addressing methods, including groups, maybe this:

Is it possible to use logic rules to manage email submission receipts?
I have one form and based on the user's selection I want to manage which email submission receipt gets sent to that specific user.
    Is this at all possible?
Please ask for clarification if I am not making sense.

It should be no problem since the Audio Kontrol 1 is Core Audio compatible. This has nothing to do with VST's.
In doubt contact Native Instruments support.

How can I filter my 500+ email contacts to just those I can facetime chat with?

You will need to remove it as your rescue email : log into your account via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com, select the 'Password And Security' section on your account's screen, and answer the two security questions that show - you should then be taken to another screen where you can change or remove your rescue email address.
Then try logging out of your account and then log back in and see if you can then use it as your primary email address.

how do i create a contact list in adobe send from my email contact list and how do avoid typing individual email adresses

    Hi [email protected],
The e-mail addresses will not be memorized in Adobe send but will be saved in sent items.
You can use Adobe send outlook plugin to access your email contact list and send.
You can download it here:Send Large Files Online - Share, Control, Track & Manage | Adobe Send

  • Gmail email contacts on ipad2

Currently using gmail internet mail access on a pc and have accumulated a large email contact list online. is there a way to migrate this contact list to ipad contact app easily?  Contact list app can be populated one by one as I reply to contact within gmail.  other than manually adding to contact app i have had no other luck of doing this.
I do not use a contact manager on my pc. all email contacts are within the gmail online system. Thanks in advance.

Add the Gmail account as a new Mail account in Settings - Mail. Make sure you choose "Microsoft Exchange" type, and follow these instructions:

  • Why does hp want to "manage my contacts" in order to be able to print?

Hp eprint requires me to give access to my contacts' emails in order to print from my ipad to my printer wirelessly. Specifically, it asks me to agree to allow hp to "manage my contacts." Why should they need this invasion of my contacts' privacy? They also want to be able to "associate you with your public Google profile." Why? Are they going to put ads on my Google+ account?

    Hi KKhb,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see you have a couple of questions about installing the HP ePrint app onto your mobile device.
To better assist you would you please provide some further information:
What type of mobile device are you using (an Apple iPad, an Android tablet, an Apple phone or an Android phone)?  I know you mentioned you are using an iPad but the iPad version of the HP ePrint app does not ask about Google profiles.
What is the name of the app that you downloaded?  I am aware you said it was the HP ePrint mobile app but the iPad version of the HP ePrint Mobile app, once again doesn’t ask about Google profiles.
Where did you download the app from (Amazon, iTunes, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, etc)?
What make/model/product number of HP printer do you have? Guide to finding your product number
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wirelessly)?
Has the printer been set up on Google Cloud Print?
    Thank you.

  • HT1694 how do I import my email contacts from my msn account to my ipad contacts and email?

I cannot get my email contacts into my iPad from msn, I tried plugging in to ITunes, and going in through settings on the Ipad.  I can see my contacts if I just sign in from the msn page instead of going in through my mail app.

Under Manage select Export. This will create a WLMcontacts.csv file.
In Contact, select File > Import. Navigate to the .csv file.

  • Syncing email, contacts and calendars

Feeling a little overwhelmed with my problem as a recent Mac convert. Have tried to do research on this issue but have had no luck finding a solution that works for me. Not entirely sure this question is in the right category but here goes:
I have a personal gmail account and a home-business email through a domain. I am running MS Outlook 2011 on my Mac Book Air and using a Blackberry Bold 9900.
I want my Outlook and Bold to sync with my emails, contacts and calendars seemlessly. They are not. I have had nothing but problems with contacts that are entered in my BB then don't show up in Outlook. Or calendar invitations that are quadrupled in my BB because I added it to Outlook.
Does anyone have an elegant solution so that everything syncs between everything without dropping items or duplication?

Funny (not ha ha)....I've been working a similar situation for a few years now.  I'm an IT guy, and my goal years ago was to sync my calendar and contacts with EVERY device I have (work outlook, home outlook (on 3 different systems) and whatever phone I've got).  Apple had a GREAT answer.... their MobileMe solution.  Was supposed to be great - a single place to sync everything together, BUT it didn't work right.  So much that I ran from it when it would refuse to change things on just about any device.  It would actually put all my contacts back if I attempted to delete them all.  weird....finally dumped it.
    So....round 2.
I started using my work Outlook (exchange) as my 'master', changing that, and letting all other devices be slave.
This worked for awhile, but got taxing to try and update from a single source.  I would archive my data on a regular basis ' just in case'.
Anyway....after multiple device changes, etc.  Here's where I'm at today - and working VERY well:
I sync all my devices with my work Outlook (Exchange).  <---- key in this effort.
All my devices Outlook (exchange) at work, Outlook at home Windows (XP or 7 desktop), Windows laptop,  MacBook Air (running SL, and now Lion), iPod touch, iPad, HP Touchpad and an iPhone. (I was Windows phone before and no difference).   I've used 3 different windows phones, and now 3 different iphones.  I can change data anywhere, on any device, and everything updates within a couple of minutes, since everydevice syncs with the master, the master updates and sends out to all other devices.
Now, for Blackberry, that would depend on if you sync wirelessly through a BES Server.  If you do, again, everything would be the same and wirelessly sync everywhere.
If you sync using the desktop manager - makes it tougher, but still should work fine - it's just there is a time/entry delay because you can only change data you change on your BB with the rest of the network when you sync manually via cable (not the best solution). I did that for a few years, before smartphones hit the market.  I used to used a Palm, or HP iPaq and would sync wired.  What a pain.
This new solution has worked for me for a few years...very happy, and the end device shouldn't matter.
I'd like to hear more detail on what exactly isn't working.
    Cheers.

  • I have 100's of emails in my emailed  contacts? What is this?

I have 100's of emails in my emailed contacts, what is this?

OK have you got the latest iTunes installed?
Now decide if you want all the music in iTunes or only some of it, this can't be undone if you transfer all so you might want to hold off on that for now.
Now copy the tracks you want on your iPod to a folder on your desktop, name the folder whatever you want, and the in iTunes files click on add folder to iTunes and point it at that folder.
Music added and now sync the music to your iPod.
This is just a stopgap as you figure out how you want to manage your music with iTunes, something to do while you read the guide.  That's where you'll find out how to put all your music in iTunes but wait on that till you're sure what you want.

  • Collaboration Portlets: calendar, task, email, contact

    Hi,
We have recently finished <b>SyncEx Collaboration Suite</b> on Oracle Portal. SyncEx Collaboration Suite consists of 5 portlets - Calendar, E-Mail, Task, Contact, Alert that can work with MS Exchange, Lotus Domino and Databases.
An online demo of SyncEx Collaboration Suite can also be seen at - http://203.101.104.52/pls/portal (username: demo, password: demo123).
In fact, all JSR 168 portlets in our catalog can now run on latest version of Oracle Portal (10.1.4 and above). Most importantly, we also have <b>JPDK edition </b>of "SyncEx Collaboration Suite for MS Exchange" for older versions of Oracle Portal.
Here are few of the editions that are tested on oracle portal -
<b>* SyncEx Collaboration Suite for MS-Exchange (JPDK Edition)
    * SyncEx Collaboration Suite for Lotus Domino (JSR 168 Edition)
    * SyncEx Collaboration Suite for MS-Exchange (JSR 168 Edition)
    * SyncEx Collaboration Suite for Database (JSR 168 Edition)</b> is also tested on Oracle Portal, and we are in process of productizing it.
In case of Database edition, you need not to use any collaboration server (e.g. Exchange or Domino) for features like calendaring, emailing, task management and contact management.
All These portlets can be downloaded from http://www.syncex.com/download.jsp.
Once you download and unzip the file, you will find the SyncEx.ear and the corresponding installation guide for respective versions.
    <b>Note:-</b>
    1) All JSR168 portlets will work with the latest version of Oracle Portal which is 10.1.4 (JSR168 complaint). JPDK portlets will also work with the older version.
    2) All JSR 168 portlets are also tested with uPortal, Sun JES Portal, and quite a few other JSR 168 compliant portals.

  • I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions and I don't believe I ever answered any security questions when I created my Apple ID for Itunes.  Someone kindly sent me Apple support link but to no avail!  Please Help me!

I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions!!  I've been trying now for 4 days to contact Apple/Itunes but I only get sent answers from a support team that say they cannot help me with my problem!!
The thing is that I can't ever remember answering any security questions and without a rescue email, I'm unable to reset them or even set them for the first time!!
I can't believe that no-one from Apple/Itunes can help me with this simple problem but unfortunately that is the case - Incredible, isn't it!!!
Would anyone know how I could solve this problem online???   Because each time I sign into Itunes, the same security questions reappear and reappear and reappear.  In fact I've got to the point where I feel like uninstalling Itunes and downloading an alternative.
    Many thanks

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I want to use one of my icloud email addresses as a new apple ID.  It was an additional email contact address I originally set up for my child.  But now, I'd like to set her up on Family Sharing, using that email as her ID.  Obviously, when I try to use it when setting up a new apple ID, it says the email is already being used (Yes, by ME) and I need to select a different one.  Can I somehow delete that email address in order to set up a new apple ID using it?  Or is there another way to "re-use" that address for my child's new ID?

"Well, then I want to be able to merge that one and the one my purchases are on..."
This is exactly what I want to do but don't think I can:
    I noticed the following :
If you attempt to create an Apple ID which is the same as your @icloud email address from the online facility, it does not allow you (can't use an Apple associated email address as your Apple ID). However - if you start a fresh device - such as a new iPhone, iPad (must be mobile it seems), and then create an iCloud account and Apple ID from the prompts when setting up the mobile device, it IS possible to have your Apple ID and @iCloud email address as the same. I know because I just did it!
Unfortunately for me, the result I got above is not for one of my own ID's but a friends, and I would VERY much like to do the same - my current Apple ID is a completely different email address from my iCloud account. Trying to get them the same in my situation is a major bother - I think that if I wipe a device (such as an iPhone5 that is mine) and try to setup as I did my friend's device, then I will get a conflict because the iCloud email I have ALREADY exists. This is my worry and I will not attempt this until I get the new iPad 4 soon to test this.
There is an inconsistency here between the two methods of creating Apple ID's and iCloud accounts.
Overall in my opinion, the Apple ID system as currently available from Apple is not designed very well, and should be addressed.
    Best wishes -
