Managing iphone apps on macbook pro

I recently bought an iphone 4s. I authorized/sync'd it to my work computer. That computer has crashed. I just bought a macbook pro and plugged my phone into it and it won't let me manage my apps on the mac. Is this because the computer I authorized/sync'd to first is the primary? if so, how do I deauthorize/sync it and make my macbook the primary?

I'm new to all this and may be rehashing but I'm just trying to understand. I did try to sync my iphone to my macbook, it said it sync'd. All my apps have been downloaded to the mac. I really don't have anything else on my phone yet as far as pics and music goes. When my iphone is plugged into the mac, I go to apps under my iphone, click on it, and the screen comes up but everything is greyed out and I can't do anything. Since my apps are already downloaded to the mac, can I de-sync the other comp and then sync to the mac without losing them? I'm not having any problems with itunes or anything else, and I have authorized the mac.

IPhone app for MacBook Pro?

I downloaded the IBook app for my Iphone and am enjoying reading books. I see that when I sync my phone, the books from it are moved into ITunes and show up there, but they cannot be read on the MacBook Pro.
Is there a version of the IBook reader software that is available for the laptop so ebooks can be read on it as well as the IPhone?

at the moment the iBook reader is only avaiable for iPhone and iPad not for OSX.
It's up to Apple to decide whether they will make an OSX version or not.

iPhone apps are iOS apps. Apps for a Mac are OSX apps. They are separate apps and have to be purchsed throught the iTunes App Store for iOS devices, and the Mac App Store for OSX computers.
When you hook your device up to iTunes on the comuter, you will see your list of iOS applications in the device profile in iTunes, but these are just a backup of the apps you have running on your device. They do not live in or run on the Mac.

When I try to open a Pages document from iCloud, created on my iPad, I get message stating I need a newer version of Pages. When I go to app store all I get is "installed" when looking at pages app. my Macbook pro is up to date with all updates.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.
Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Can I have an iPhone, ipad and MacBook Pro with the same apple id. When I use I tunes it get confusing and I have a paid app that needs the same id

When syncing the iPhone and iPad with iTunes on your computer that is logged in with the Apple ID you plan on using on all three, the Apple ID should be transferred to the iPhone and iPad for the iTunes & App Stores on each device. If not, you'll need to sign out of the existing Apple ID on the iPhone and iPad followed by signing in with the Apple ID you want to use on both.
Keep in mind that all 3rd party apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps. With an app installed on your iPad and iPhone that was downloaded with a different Apple ID from the one you will be using now, you will need to use that Apple ID and password to install app updates for those apps. Not possible to transfer apps purchased with one Apple ID to another or to merge Apple IDs.

Cannot upload any images from iPhone 4 to Macbook Pro. Please help!

I'm pretty much tearing my hair out with this one, I don't know what to do - I simply cannot upload any photos from iPhone 4 to Macbook Pro.
This problem appeared out of the blue. I am trying to upload to iPhoto - not working. I have clearing the cache - not working. Tried the Dropbox app - not working and the option has now disappeared altogether. Tried Image Capture - not working. I went and had my iPhone replaced altogether - still not working. I thought it might be a problem with my iPhone or a problem with the back-ups or sometthing so I plugged in my boyfriend's to scope it out - still not working. I have restarted all devices many times. I have read through posts and posts about this and cannot find an answer.
iPhoto says: unreadable files - unrecognized format - not true!!
Image Capture just says there is an error importing.
Any help would be much appreciated - it's driving me mad!

I cannot deleted. Computer keep telling that my dropbox is open. Don't see how to shot it off. Do I need to delete all pictures from dropbox first and delete application after. Will I loose all these pictures? Usually, I copy all photos to iphoto app.

Apple hasn't released a “Find my iPhone” app for OS X. However, you can access to Find my iPhone on the Mac in http://www.icloud.com, logging in with your Apple ID and choosing Fund my iPhone.
After doing this on your Internet browser, look at the URL bar. At the left of the URL bar, you will see the website icon, so drag it to your desktop to create a shortcut to access to Find my iPhone

iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
You can sync the iTunes Voice Memos playlist to the iPod application on iPhone using the Music pane in iTunes.
To Sync the Voice Memos playlist to iPhone:
1. Connect iPhone to your computer.
2. In iTunes, select iPhone in the sidebar.
3. Select the Music tab.
4. Select the “Include voice memos” checkbox and click Apply.

iCloud is only available in Lion, 10.7. You will have to upgrade to Lion in order to get into iCloud. If you transfered a .mac or .me address to iCloud through mobile me, or you have another device iCloud enabled, then you can log into the iCloud.com website.

Bluetooth from iPhone 3GS to MacBook Pro not working?

I am having (seemingly) bluetooth connection issues with "some" devices to my MacBook Pro. I note:
* Mouse pairs fine
* iPhone 3GS does not remain connected (focus of this forum question)
Error - after pairing my iPhone 3GS to my MBP I get an error:
The Bluetooth Network is Unavailable
There was an error connecting your device. Make sure the device is turned on and in range.
Notes:
* MacBook Pro details:
Model Name:          MacBook Pro
Model Identifier:          MacBookPro6,2
Processor Name:          Intel Core i7
System Version:          Mac OS X 10.7.3 (11D50b)
Background: Ultimately interested in teethering my iPhone 3G data connection to my MacBook Pro, but for the moment the bluetooth connection won't even remain in place.

nothing in these articles helped unfortunately - some more clarification:
tethering via USB from iPhone 3G to MacBook Pro => WORKS
tethering via Bluetooth => does NOT work, with bluetooth connectioning not staying up
During pairing process:
devices "see each other"
pairing appears to work, then you see that the connection drops out directly afterwards (almost immediately)
on iPhone message = "Connection Unsuccessful - XXX's MacBook Pro is not supported"
on MacBook - it's just the connection in Bluetooth options shows up as not connected
in /var/log/system I see some bluetooth related lines:

Any other ideas? Is it a physical problem with my MBP? but then again my bluetooth mouse stays connected ok. And in terms of the iPhone well it tethers fine to the iPad via bluetooth....
