Managing Two Depreciaiton Areas in AA

Hi!
We have created two depreciation areas one is area posts in real time and another one is area does not post( for management purpose).
I have assigned two areas in asset class in transaction "Determine Depreciation Areas in the Asset Class".
I have assigned two different kinds of depreciation keys to these areas.
But while l executed depreciation run, I am unable to see depreciation calculated in Management depreciation area. Even though I need not post this depreciation, I want to see the depreciation calculated using depreciation key assigned to management depreciation area.
Please suggest me what are other customizing settings i have to do.
thanks & regards,
Ramesh B

Hi,
the depreciation run will apparently NOT post any depreciation area which is not set up to post values to G/L. So if you specified the depreciation area not to post to G/L, what would you expect from the depreciation run? This program does collect all periodical depreciation and posts it to G/L, this is its basic purpose.
So for statistical (management) areas you will not get postings, but you can use the FI-AA reporting for these areas. FI-AA reports will calculate planned depreciation on a year-to-date basis for all depreciation areas.

Markus

  • How do I manage two iPods on one computer please?

I have an iPod (early 40G model, and it's fine). I installed iTunes, and all fine. A year goes by. Another member of the household gets an iPod (mini), and we load the software into a different subdirectory in Program Files. This erases my iTunes, but all still works fine for some reason. i.e. when I attach my iPod, it is recognised, and my iTunes music is shown on the screen. When the other iPod is attached, same thing (i.e. it is recognised and her iTunes are shown on the screen). Our different music folders are stored in different subdirectories.
This is all fine, until her iPod erases itself, and is now no longer recognised by iTunes. In the processes advised for solving this situation (restore and reset etc) we erase my iPod (but have managed to restore music to if after re-installing the original software that came with it.)
So now we are back to the stage of having her iPod not being recognised by iTunes. Please suggest solutions! Please also advise if there is a more sensible way of managing two iPods on one PC. Is it really as basic as having different playlists?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Yep. Playlists will do it.

  • Managing Two Different Libraries on One MacBook Pro

How can I manage two different iTunes libraries on one MacBook Pro?  My currently library (i.e. all files) is on an external hard drive.  My girlfriend synced all of her music onto an iPad but she no longer has the computer.  I'd like to get her music onto the computer without mixing her library with mine.
    Thanks!

you might have to find a third party program to get those songs off her ipad onto the computer, apple doesnt support that unless they are purcahsed from itunes store because of DRM (Digital Rights Media) another word for copy write. so theres not a whole lot of hope for that, but you can always create a new user on your computer
>user>+ icon>Create new user make it admin
-if they are how ever purchased from itunes you would still make that new user, plug the device into itunes and authorize the computer by clicking store on the top of your screen where file edit and view are, Store>authorize this computer
once thats done you'll then plug that device in to the computer and on the left side of itunes you'll see devices and "Device name" the device its self, right click or control click the name and choose transfer purchases, anything that has ever been purchased of gotten for free will sync onto the computer,
you cant just simplay pull the songs off the device to the computer, doesnt work like that

  • Best practice on managing two iPhones / iTunes accounts

I have always used two computers / iTunes accounts for my wife and I's two iPhones. Last week my iPhone and home computer hard drive both crashed (what are the chances. I am now pulling all data off my AppleTV and I am trying to decide how to set everything back up:
    1. Put all content on wife's Toshiba laptop (Win7) and manage two instances
    2. Buy a new Harddrive and reset up my desktop (which will only be used to manage digital media and occassional surf.
Any thoughts? How simple is it to manage two iphone/itunes accounts from one machine. Last posts I saw look like a bit of a pain, because I have to manage my music (the bigger amount of music) in playlists.
    Opinions appreciated!

    You're welcome.
Can I import the same music into both iTunes instances.
Yes, as long as your authorize the computer for each account that the music was purchased under, e.g- if the music was purchased under your account & you want the music in your wife's library, you would use her computer login, launch itunes, sign her out of itunes, sign in using your itunes account details, Store>Authorize this Computer, sign out, then sign her back in.
Do I need to just add one new user
Yes, and I assume you want full administrative powers, so you should set up your account as an administrator.
Once you've set things up this way, transferring purchased content(Apps & music) is real easy. Simply launch itunes, sign out of whatever account you want to transfer the content to, sign in using the account that has the content on the phone, File>Transfer Purchases, sign out after doing so & then sign the other party back in.
You also want to make sure that you disable auto sync when an iphone is connected under preferences in the edit menu. Do this for each login. You DO NOT WANT TO SYNC to each others account, just File>Transfer Purchases. That way you can share apps & music, which is permitted under the EUSLA for family members in the same household.

    Hello,
Suddenly the working CRM is being stopped for some group of users.
I drilled down to the issue and have checked that the users from Domain in which CRM is installed are having CRM access.
But for other domain user having problem to access CRM.
I tried to add a user from a domain which is not of CRM domain then it gives following error.
"Business Management Error: You are attempting to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist. Select another domain logon and try again.
    <Message>LookupAccountNameW failed with error</Message> "
The change is made - AD group have upgraded Activer Directory server to 2012 R2

B,C and D are all in same level, they are child of A domain.
There are two way transitive trusts between A and all the child Domain.

  • Managing two libraries

    hi there,
I am having problems managing two libraries. I am trying to create two separate libraries, AAC and Lossless. I was given the advice below, which I followed, problem is when you switch back and forth between the libraries, if switches songs from my Lossless library which are stored correctly in the Lossless folder to files from the AAC library and vice versa.
Also, each time you switch libraries you have to go to advance preferences and indicate where you want to store the files. Example, I have the Lossless library open, the preference is set as G:/music/lossless; when I exit that library and open the AAC library the preference is set to the Lossless library. I don't mind changing that if I have to but the problem of the libraries switching content from AAC to Lossless is the big problem. Any advice?
    PREVIOUS POST INFO:
    Do this.
Create 2 folders on the external.
    G:\Music\Lossless
    G:\Music\AAC
Hold Shift (for Windows), Option (for Mac) and launch iTunes
Select Create new library and select the AAC folder you created above.
This will create a new iTunes folder in G:\Music\AAC. You should now have G:\Music\AAC\iTunes\.
Go to Windows Exploder and move all your AAC files into G:\Music\AAC\iTunes\iTunes music\ folder.
Go to iTunes menu File -> Add folder to library and select G:\Music\AAC\iTunes\iTunes music\.
Quit iTunes and restart holding Shift (for Windows), Option (for Mac).
Select Create new library and select the Lossless folder you created above.
This will create a new iTunes folder in G:\Music\Lossless. You should now have G:\Music\Lossless\iTunes\.
Go to Windows Exploder and move all your Lossless files into G:\Music\Lossless\iTunes\iTunes music\ folder.
Go to iTunes menu File -> Add folder to library and select G:\Music\Lossless\iTunes\iTunes music\.
Next time you launch iTunes hold Shift* (for Windows), Option (for Mac) select Choose library and select teh iTunes library.itl file in teh folder you want.
Make sure you first set your Import prefs to AAC or Lossless, depending on which folder you are in.

I have a similar situation. I have a 8gb ipod touch and a 30gb ipod video. I only have one library and what I did was to have the video sync with my entire library (about 25 gb). For the touch, I have it sync only playlists that I select. (You can edit how a ipod syncs when you connect to the computer) this setting is under the music tab.
If you want to move the library off the computer, make sure you follow apple's instructions.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1449
For the photos, each ipod can be setup to either sync the entire library or selected events. the settings for this are under the photo tab.

  • Is ASAP  part of Solution manager or bothe are different

    hai to everybody,
when we are in implementation we have to use either ASAP methodology or Solution Manager,
    the question is
Is ASAP methodology a part of Solution manager or both are different
Can any one tell me even Schedule manager also
suitable answer will be highly appreciated
    madhu

    Hi,
You have two types of methodologies to implement SAP.
    1. ASAP (Step based methodology & Question & Answer Database Model)
    Phase 1: Project Preparation
    Phase 2: Business Blueprint
    Phase 3: Realization
    Phase 4: Final Preparation
Phase 5: Go Live & Support
    2. Solution Manager (Advance to ASAP & Process based)
This is an advanced to ASAP, we will follow the same steps mentioned in the ASAP methodology but it is completely process driven. As per the business process flow the SAP Implementation flowes the process.

  • Managing Two Libraries With Time Capsule

    Hi,
I just got a Time Capsule and an iPhone. I already have an iPod. The space on my Hard Disk is running low - mainly due to a large iTunes music selection and large number of photos.
My question is this. Is there any way for me to manage two libraries - a small one (that will merge with my 8GB iPhone) that remains on my mac, and a large one (that merges with my 60GB iPod) on the Time Capsule? I know that I can create these two libraries, but every time I rip a new album, or download something from iTunes, I would like them to download to both libraries.
Is there a simple solution to sync certain sections of two libraries?
    The same goes for iPhoto.
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • How to check wwheter two files are the same?

    Hi,
I need to check wheter two files are the same. Their names and paths may be different. How to do that? Do u have any links / examples?
Important notice: Files used in the application will be big (ie 1, 2gb)

Comparing a hash, if you have to calculate it each
time, is bound to be slower than a byte by byte, or
    character by character compare.
This kind of comparison is used mostly in things like
content management systems, when a new file of data
is checked to see if it's identical to a file already
entered, hash values being stored for each file
    already in the system.
And comparing the hashes can only prove the files are
different, if the hashes are equal that doesn't
absolutely guarantee that the files are the same.
Normally you'd confirm a matching hash by actually
comparing file content.Depends on how good your hash is..but in general...yes. I was only saying that it's faster if you're always maintaining a has of the file.

  • Managing two internal hard drives in a Macbook Pro

Upon reaching the storage limit of my internal 7200RPM 750GB SSHD, I replaced the optical drive with a 5400RPM 1TB SSHD.
The Macbook Pro in question is the top end early 2011 15" model running Yosemite.
The 750GB drive is where the user folder, applications, etc are stored.
The 1TB is where I store my music, photos and movies along with some other miscellaneous things.
I have noticed a significant decrease in battery performance since installing the second drive. I was expecting some decrease but not to the extent that I have experienced.
Itunes, Lightroom and FCPX all seem to work well with the second SSHD.
What are your experiences with two internal hard drives in your Macbook Pro?
How do you manage two internal hard drives?
Aside from replacing the SSHDs with SSDs, what are your thoughts and experiences with running RAID arrays?
Any performance tips that you can share for getting the most out of my setup (circumstantial and installing SSDs are out of the question for now)?

Start over. Partition the new drive and install Lion. Activate FileVault. Then restore from your backup.

  • Managing two bit-rates per song

Is there an easy way to manage two bit-rates per song? I wish iTunes would do this itself, under the covers. Similar to versions in Aperture. What I want is to keep an Apple Lossless version for Apple TV, but have a low bit-rate version for my iPhone and iPod (due to space limitations). I know I can store two versions of the same song but they are treated as two songs, so if I change a rating or a keyword it happens only to the one song. Or I have to manage two versions of the same playlist. Etc.

The short answer is no, theres no good way to do what you want. This has been a shortcoming of iTunes for years. Those of us interested in having a lossless library were forced to use lossless on out mobile devices, which doesn't make sense at all, or to maintain two parallel libraries.
What you guys really want is called on the fly transcoding. The idea is you store a high quality version (ideally lossless) of the track on your computer and that when this track is to be synced to a device it is transcoded to a more efficient format.
This is something that most media players have been doing for years, and yet Apple shows no interest in implementing such a feature.

  • Derived Depreciaiton Area

I am trying to create a derived depreciaiton area which is the difference between two real depreciaiton areas (book and Tax).
I am doing the following in the definition of the derived area:
Depreciation Area 01 with Area Sign of + and proportion of 1
Depreciaiton Area 60 with Area Sign of - and proportion of 1
The result is correct for the depreciation amount, but it creates an APC of zero.  In the real areas 01 and 60 the APC is the same (as desired).  So the forumua is generating a sum of zero.  Is this how it is supposed to work?  Shouldn't the derived depreciation are be the only thing that is 'derived' by the formula? Or am I just doing something wrong'
This is in 4.70..any tips or insight is appreciated

    What you're seeing is correct.
In a typical US tax situation where the tax areas might have a different acquisition value, you would want to see the difference between those as well as the differences in the depreciation calculations too.
Generally speaking I don't like derived areas.  They can cause problems when you're trying to work with any of the areas that are defined within them.  For example, if you have to re-open the prior FY to make a tax only adjustment, you won't be allowed to do so unless you re-open 01 as well...  which usually raises a lot of red flags with the Financial folks.

    Hi Gilly,
I have no proof, but I think it will not work with an adapter, only Mini Display Port or Thunderbolt.
