Managing & understanding events/media?

I'm running out of space on my thunderbolt external drive so I went in & looked around to see what if anything I could delete, and I found some strange duplicates that I'd like to delete. In the screenshot are four windows with all being the TB drive, then "Final Cut Events" as the start of the path. The top left window (cleveland alliance tournament) has three different days and four different games in one event. The other windows are three of the four events over the three different day time frame. The fourth day would add up with the other three to make 60 of the 62 items but I couldn't fit it in. Why are these events duplicated, yet lumped into one event and seperated individually for the others? And what can I do about it? I don't want to double up on media, even if it is "original" because it's also backed up on my second external drive.
I also don't understand why the two screen shots at the bottom of window one are there? While I was making a project of a completely different event, I grabbed those from Safari to use in the project, but they're irrelevant to this event and shouldn't be there? The two screen shots at the bottom of window one is not the first time I've seen the wrong media in another event file. I'm sure I didn't mess up that bad and put media from say a day at the beach, into media from antarctica, but it's happened to me more than once. Is that something that can happen occasionally, by human mistake or just a bug in the software? If this doesn't make sense I'll try to explain it the best I can but please ask? Thank you

Desktop Manager and Roxio Media Manager Soooo Slow

Desktop Manager and Roxio Media Manager are so slow. Why? Just getting them to open takes five minutes or more.

I'm glad I found this thread.
I loaded the Desktop Manager and Roxio Media Manager 2 days ago. It completely crippled my laptop (running Vista, 4GB RAM etc), which previously ran very well.
I suspected it was Roxio when I watched it take 20 minutes to install.
Worringly, my laptop was crippled without the Desktop or Roxio software being used. The response rate was once every 5 minutes, and when eventually getting to the Task Manager and looking at the Processes and Applications (a 15 minute job!), there was nothing untoward.
Having uninstalled them and rebooted, the laptop is back to its former glory so quite what Roxio was doing in the background, I have no idea. I won't be touching it again.

Software to manage/organize all media (video

Does anyone have any recommendations for an App that will manage/organize all media (video & photos)?
I currently use Sony Motion Picture Browser on my PC and it works wonderfully. It allows views in both Folder View or Calendar View so one can easily locate any media no matter how long ago the media was taken. I haven't seen this software available for Mac's.

I like it. It's not on the App Store, though.

Recon manager many events

have a bunch of tasks in "event received" status. can the recon manager do more than one at a time?

So if I understand your situation correctly your events go into "event received" status and when you manually apply the matching rule the linkage suddenly works.
To answer your questions there is (as far as I know) no way to reapply the matching rules without clicking yourself to death. Please raise this as an SR and see what Oracle says.
There are two situations where this occurs. Firstly it could be technically possible that something happened during the time between when the event was first received and when you click the "Re Apply Matching Rules". The change makes the evaluated event go from an error to a link.
The second possibility is that OIM has decided that it hasn't the bandwidth to handle evaluating the event. If resource starved OIM gives priority to interactive services so if you for example is doing an initial load it sometimes takes hours before events get evaluated. I have seen this a number of times and going back to the hotel room to sleep for a while has always fixed the problem. If you are not seeing this as a part of a massive initial load then something else is wrong.

How to manage marketing events and keep trask of subscribers ?

I'm working on CRM request for proposals in France and I have more and more often one business requirement coming from the customers.
They often asks to generates outbound campaigns for event that they organize. It could be Sales event, Marketing events, Training sessions etc... ?
So, for that, they are doing target groups, generating outbound campaigns and have to manage customer feedback and booking if customer accepts. For some customers, it could also generates one billing flow once the customer has booked his participation.
Do you have any idea on how to handle that in SAP CRM as much easy as possible, how to easily follow-up registrations and use reports on that ?
Do you know if part of this process could be managed thru RDS ?

App-V 5 sp2, Citrix user profile manager and Event IDs 19104

We get the event error 19104 on published packages. But not on all users. %APPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS are excluded per

Still some users get app-v Applications, but some that are copies of the ones working does not get the Applications. I have tried to delete the profile. but still no closer to a solution. Anyone got this working?

That thread does point on the Profile managment, and redirection of %appdata% and %localappdata% . Those to folders are not redirected. But when i run Procmon, i can see that a working user creates the c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\temp but non
working does not even try.Non working users also does not query the registry as much as working. Ofcourse this all work in my lab so the settings should be sound. but i cannot find the smoking environment variable or setting that causes it.

Trying to understand flash.media.Microphone

I am new to flash/AS3 and currently trying to understand how to use flash.media.Microphone in my application.
I have the following code to activate the microphone:

This seems to be working fine and I get the "allow the use of the microphone" dialogue when I run the flash application.
However, I go and add some other code in and after while I no longer get "allow the use of the microphone" when running my application. The microphone is still loaded can micStatus gets called, but the microphone just stays muted, so I don't get the echo back as configured with mic.setLoopBack(true).
Initially I thought that maybe this is because something in my code, so I went back to my initial code again, but still get no "allow the use of the microphone" dialogue and the microphone stays muted.
If I create a new AS3 project and copy the code there is works again. This makes me think that maybe I am missing something. Do I need to release the microphone somehow after use. Saying that if I restart my computer, the projects that stopped displaying "allow the use of the microphone" will still not display them.
Really confused about this. Anyone have any pointers what I am doing wrong?

Based on the information you provided, the “ Service Control Manager“ is responsible for this. In this case, I would suggest to run System File Checker to fix this.
System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files, you can do it in this way:
1.Open an elevated command prompt: type Command Prompt in the Search box, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
2.and then type: sfc /scannow hit enter.

Media Manager/Internet Media

I am unable to use any of the Internet Media video options. Youtube, dailymotion. etc.. all do the same thing. Either I get the red hand saying "unable to play video" or the video plays and always stops with a error at approx. 32 seconds. I have tried all I could to troubleshooting and resolve. I have tried 3 different hardwired computers with each getting Verizon Media Manager re-installed. I have the same exact issue on all 3 of my TV's. I have reset the router and confirmed all RF and MOCA rates are all perfect. 2 xp's and I vista. All 3 are strong running computers giving me the same result. Any ideas?

Understanding Event-Handling

I’m trying to understand the Event-Handling in Java.
Take for example a button:
How does this button -while the program is running- send Events to the Listener ?
And how does it know that a Listener exists and “listen” to its Events ?
Which method, statement etc. is called by the button– while runtime- to send the Event ?
What about this idea :
1.     the user clicks on the button
2.     the button sends an event – object by using such a statement :
sendEvent(Listener.doSomething(Event));
3.     the listener does it.
Could anyone explain me on a easy way, what is going on behind “the lines” ?

Roxio media manager missing Roxio media manager.msi file can't cancle installation

Roxio media manager is trying to installing something but it gets to the end and say it can't find Roxio media manager.msi. so basicly i need the file. I can't cancle whats it's doing as it keeps restarting. It just bugging my now as i can't uninstall anything else and I need to to fix another not related problem

start- run, type
msconfig and press OK
clcik on STARTUP tab at the top, right down whats either checked or unchecked(whichever is the smallest option)
click disable all button
click on the SERVICES tab at the top
at the bottom click checkmark in "hide all microsoft services"
again write down what is or isnt checked(smallest option)
click DISABLE ALL button
restart PC
when you boot up you get a popup saying you ahve used the MS config utility, place check mark in box and click OK
next open the internet and download
Windows Installer CleanUp Utilityinstall program and run it, in the list find anything blackberry, roxio, research in motion, or installer related. remove them
next we are going to perform a clean uninstall of DTM

anywhere in the DOC, if it tells you to delete research in motion, also delete roxio if you see it.
then you can go back to MSCONFIG and put your startup and services back to the way they were

Campaign Management - Procurement of Media

We are starting a new project to implement SAP CRM and there is a set of business requirements around our planning and procurement of media, including TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, direct mailings, etc. My initial plan is to implement Campaign Management; however, this does not appear to address the procurement of media. If I review the IS-Media solution it addresses the sale of Media but where in SAP should the procurement of Media be handled? Remember that we will want all the details that are being captured on the sales side in the procurement side.
