Mandatory field during FB70

Sir,
In Tcode FB70, users wanted to have mandatory field in profitability segment-sub-screen fields. Customers,Sales Organisation and Productiion hierarchy. Can we take out these field out of profitability segment. sub-screen. how please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Please create a new FSG and assign to the GL Codes you are going to use in FB70. In the FSG you make the mentioned field as required field.

One Time Customer Mandatory field during Sales Order Creation

My client has lots of one time customer and they need to capture the phone number and name of the individual customer at the time of sales order creation using one time customer code.
They want only "NAME & PHONE NO" as mandatory field so that the Person who creates a Salesorder should enter the NAME & PHONE NO" . Please let us know where the configuration for teh above is?
We have tried in Account Group One time customer settings which is working at the time of creation of order and not at the time of creation of Sales Order, please help us on the above..

Hi Anis,
In the Account group , if you check the one-time customer then while creating the sales order itself it will appear to change the address for that customer.
By the time you can enter your required fields.
I think you mentioned as

Order creation and creation of sales order are both same.

Mandatory fields during PO creation - but optional in the customizing

Hi all,
If i create or change a PO, some fields are mandatory (ex: plant, account assignment category, purchasing group). However, in the customizing, theses fields are optional. I checked the customizing in tcode OMF4/field selection keys NBF, AKTA, AKTH, ME21N, ME22N, PT0F (we use standard item category). In all these field selection keys, the fields are optional.
Does anyone have any idea?

The above mentioned by Manish is the correct way to check.
But sometimes it happens that you have copied some document type and created your own, then also changing in your new document type will not change the field setting. You have to change the setting in SAP default document type then only changes is reflected.
Eg: In PR document type which is generated from order standard SAP does not allow you to change Purchasing group, even if you copy this document type and create your own then also it will not allow. You have to change in the standard then only its results are reflected on the screen.

Sender side :
1. Sender1_Root
2. Sender1_Child1
3. Sender2_Root
4. Sender2_Child1
Receiver Side:
1. Receiver_Root
2. Receiver_Child1
3. Receiver_Child2
1. Sender1_Child1 is mapped to Receiver_Child1
2. Sender2_Child1 is mapped to Receiver_Child2
In this case, Do we need to map the Sender1_Root and Sender2_Root to Receiver_Root?

Missing Few fields during Conversion

Hello SAP GURUS,
I have mapped each and every single field from the legacy system to SAP. Now, we are doing the conversion. And the conversion team have few questions such as, in table xxxx the field is missing xxxx. For example, they say Asset Class field is missing in xxxx table and field when they try to upload. How can they mapp Asset class table and field? I don't think it is required during conversion. Because they are using the transaction t-code AS91. Asset Class is a mandatory field right......Once the asset is created it has to be there.....
Also same thing with Depreciation Areas. They say the value is missing for area 02, 03, 11 etc..... I don't think they have to upload the depreciation areas because it would be created in configuration.

Hi,
Firstly for uploading r u using BDC or LSMW, when u upload the data u have to give all the data for asset creation. U can check with in foreground mode. It will shows the error.
When we upload the data system will check all the fields and values in your excel/text file. for example Asset class, without asset class system will not create asset. please check your file.
for depreciation areas is it warning mesage or error message, if it is warning there is no problem in your asset creation.

Supress Mandatory field for Service Entry Sheet Creation

Hi,
I am using BDC for Service Entry Sheet creation as BAPI cannot fulfill the Business needs.
During Recording when I click on Service Overview and click on Service Selection we provide the Model Service Specification Number there I can see the Services and select it, but when I select the service and adopt, an error message ocuured to enter the quantity.
Is there any way to supress the standard error message without using acess Key.

Hi Aviram,
Messages type 'E' , 'I' or 'W' are controlled through configurations. Please check with your functional consultant with the message number you want to supress. It can be made as 'I' or 'W' through configuration.
Similarly if you do not want that particular field as mandatory field ask functional consultant to make it optional.

MM Manage mandatory field in material master data

Hi,
i need to manage some fields in MM01 and MM02 in order to have these fields mandatory if other fields have particular value. For example, if material type is ZFER and Prod.hierarc (in Basic Data 1) is AL001, only in this case i want that field Comm./imp. code ,in view Foreign Trade import, is mandatory.
I'm looking for an user-exit. I find EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 but with this solution i have a problem. The mandatory of field is active only during saving, on the contrary i would like that this mandatory will be similar to the standard.

MAKING PROFIT CENTRE MANDATORY FIELD IN ECC 6.00 AFTER GOLIVE

Can we activate the Profit centre mandatory field for all the entries after the system gone live?.   The details are as under:
1.     System : ECC 6.00
2.     Document splitting activated without making Profit Centre Mandatory field.
If we are going to activate now, system is throwing a very strong message of Data Inconsistency and informing us not to change the settings now.
Is there any other way where in we can make Profit Centre a mandatory field.
Appreciate if any one who worked on this / has knowledge on this please revert back on the solution.

You should raise an OSS message and take SAP's support...
If you add any new dimension now, all the previous docs where PC was not populated would throw an error during clearing, payments, etc
You might be having PC as a doc spliting char already, but if you did not make it mandatory, then chances are that some docs might have been posted w/o PC

Mandatory field "Involved Person" must be filled

Dear Experts
In EHSM 5.0 while trying to create Report - Incident - Simplified, receiving error - Mandatory field "Involved Person" must be filled. I have check similar post on this and as per that EHHSSPIID is being maintained for internal number range.
This issue is triggering either I click "send" w/o entering data for who was injured or attempt to add details for injured person.

UI designer: mandatory fields finally working?

Hello everybody,
I just found a new behavior in the system 1502. If it was here before, I never found it.
Before, when you set up an extension field as mandatory in the UI Designer, only a * appeared next to the field and you needed to do your own ABSL logic in order to prevent the save.
Now, I found that SAP implemented a logic to prevent the saving that even bypass my ABSL custom messages from my XBO.
So it seems developing our own logic to raise error messages during On-Save is not needed anymore.
Here is a screenshot with the SAP message that bypasses mine:
Is this really new or I just missed it?

Hello Tommy,
On my side, if I set the field as mandatory in HTML5 layout, the Error message is not triggered in Silverlight. Only in HTML5.
Another thing I noticed is this mandatory setting in UI Designer is working for the On-Save in a create floorplan, but not in a OIF.
When I create my fixed asset, if my field is not filled, this standard SAP message is raised. However, during modification of this same Fixed asset, if the field is not filled, Save is prevented but the message mentioned in my first post is not displayed.
The behavior of mandatory fields from UI Designer is still not very stable.
