Mandatory or required field

How do I flag a field as mandatory or required in SAP CRM 5.2. Urgent Please.

Hi abdul,
Follow the step CRMM_ACCOUNT & View – ZLEAD1
1)     Go to CRMC_PCUITOOLS.
2)     Go to Analysis Tools -> Determine the Correct Model Access Class.
3)     Give Application – CRMM_ACCOUNT & View – ZLEAD1 & execute.
4)     Click on New Button and Choose Person.
5)     Note Field Group ACC_SRES_01_V1.
6)     Go to CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C.
7)     Go to Field Group -> Execute Field Group Structure.
8)     Give Field Group - ACC_SRES_01_V1
9)     Search for View ZLEAD1 Elements where you can get other Field Group Structure - ACC_SRES_NAME_V1
10)     Go Back and Execute Field Group Structure again.
11)     Give Field Group Structure - ACC_SRES_NAME_V1.
12)     Search Elements of ACC_SRES_NAME_V1.
13)     Go Back and Execute Field Group Structure again.
14)     Give Field Group Structure - ACC_SRES_LOG_NAM_V1.
15)     Search for view ZLEAD1 element which to be mandatory.
16)     Select and Click on Details.
17)     Choose Mandatory Field for BPNAME1 and same with BPNAME2.
18)     Generate the Layout for Field Group Structure
19)     Give the Field Group - ACC_SRES_01_V1 and View - ZLEAD1 and execute.
20)     Same steps are for Mobile Number field Mandatory in Field Group Structure - ACC_SRES_TELEPHONE_V1.

    The reason why Profit Center is not filled is that you have activated codist switch in FI but not in the HR side:table T52SWCODIST.
    By the way, take into account only value 1 is allowed for India as per note 1039346.

    I bumped into the following error when trying to perform GR-101 in MIGO.
    My question is "Do you think the error is due to inconsistency between MM movement type & GL master data.  Could it be MM movement type used in the transaction below?
    How to make sure business area is a mandatory field for that movement type?
    Our company policy is business area is require for all GL master.
    Field Bus. Area is a required field for G/L account 5000 20000500
    Message no. F5808
    Diagnosis
    The value for field "Bus. Area" in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L account "20000500" in company code "5000" linked to the field selection for posting key "89".

    Goto T-code -- FS00     there enter your G/L account 20000500   and company code goto the tab---- create/bank/interest
    click the field status group and make the radio button for Busines area as optinal and save  then try doing MIGO_GR .
    Check with your FI team if the field Business area is requried field ...then enter the same manually during grn.

    Please Check  field status group assigned to the depreciation G/l account as well as G/L account of Asset   by using Transaction Code OBC4
    Make the cost center as optional instead of mandatory
    Check your settings in Transation code  ACSET

    while our application was trying to do Goods Receipt in SAP.
    I understand this error message is because this setting of this G/L account requires the "personnel number" to be mandatory.
    But could you advise where to enter the "personnel number" while doing the Goods receipt or the invoice receipt?

    Actually, this error happened while the user was creating "Goods Receipt" in SAP through BAPI call.
    Our application is a "Procurement to Pay" web application, it calls BAPI to create PO, create Goods Receipt, etc.

  • Field Text is a required field for G/L account (VF02 release to accounting)

    Hi gurus,
    the following error message shows in VF02 when releasing to accounting:
    "Field Text is a required field for G/L account in E178 (=CoCd) 4420000000".
    We checked the G/L master (FSS0) - information tab - G/L Account texts in Company Code (for G/L 442*) but did not work. Any  idea of which text is to be maintained?

    Hi,
    I think the order movement you have selected must have some reference/reservation with it.
    So whenever you select that particular movement, the order no. is essential.
    This particularly happens for make to order production, where order is mandatory.
    So just enter the order number in it, so the process gets completed.

    we had created a new plant 3800. During configurations , business users created material for 3800 on 3000 and started purchase. Now after configurations, those materials had to be extended on plant 3800. Material have been extended but when the stock is transfered from 3000 to 3800 via MB1B , system says "

    Any idea that why this error comes? I have checked every thing, cudnt sought out.

    When you are transferring the material from one plant to other plant using mvt type 301 or 303/305 etc.,
    there is a field selection variation between the mvt type and G/L account which was triggered for this Transaction.For mvt type 301, the filed Business area is not mandatory and for G/L account 2201001 the feild is mandatory.
    You can resolve this by changing one of the field selection group, i.e. either MVt type or G/L account.to do this follow the procedure.
    1.Go to SE38
    2.Type program RM07CUFA
    3.Execute the program
    4.It will ask for Mvt type nad G/L account number, give the details and execute
    5.System will display the difference between the two filed selection groups.
    6.From the same screen , you can change the fileds option by selecting the error log.

    Goto Tcode - OKB9. Search for that G/L account number under your co. code. There select the row, you can maintain the cost center directly. Else for Account assignment detail column, keep it as 1(Valuation area mandatory). Then under new entries maintain the valuation area, which is nothing but the plant, and against that maintain the cost center.
    Hope this resolves your query.

    Hi,
    The Assignment Number BSEG-ZUONR (I suppose "Assign." means it here.) field status for posting key and GL is optional and mandatory.
    I think the GL Account SORT KEY in FS00 is the assignment selection for Billing to FI doc. Say if the SORT KEY is Posting Date, the assignment from Billing to FI Doc would be the date of posting.
    But if the SORT KEY is blank ( This is case for my G/L account), the system will select the assignment written in Billing document header (VBRK-ZUONR).
    I checked other billing documents, which are not in the same billing type as the one with error, and found it follow the above logic.
    So how come this time it shows the above error? Really confused.

    While releasing a billing document we are getting the following error. Field Bus. Area is a required field for G/L account xxxx xxxxxx. The GL account involved is a Balance sheet account. Which settings needs to be checked to pick the Business area automatically... For this account Bus Area is a mandatory field.

    In you know the Transaction and screen Variant Configurations.
    Use T-code SHD0
    Put your Sales Order t-code There : Va01
    Then Select the feilds or tabs whatever you want as mandatory , optional.
    Customize as per your requirement and save the variant.
    Next GO to the Sales Document types :
    There In the Transaction flow you will find at variant feild.
    Assign this variant there.
    Next when ever you do sales Order for that Document type the feilds will be taken in the fashion of the variant.

  • How to switch off the Yellow "Required Field" color in 9i?

    I'd like to know how we can switch off the yellow background that appears on Required Fields (but still leave the required fields as required).
    We are migrating our Forms 3.0 application to 9i and have not set the Required attribute for all our fields (some are auto-populating, some are just not set correctly) so some forms look strange with some mandatory fields yellow and some not. We have over 550 Forms and are at release one of our migration so we'd rather not worry about setting fields correctly this for this phase.

    I am working on Vendor master data groups and my client asked me to make the zip code field mandatory. When i go to "define account groups with screen layout- vendor name-general data- address, i don't see a tab for Zip code to make it a required field. However, i checked Postal code, city field and make it into a required field. Is zip code = Postal code, city? or do i have to contact other programmers so they can design this functionality in SAP?

    yes, I also confirm You that the Zip code is the Postal code.
    So please go to IMG --> Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors)
    and for Your Account Group do the following setting:
    double click on General data --> double click on Address
    and define as Required entry the field Postal code, city technical names:
    City                         LFA1-ORT01
    Postal Code            LFA1-PSTLZ

  • IDoc Error 51 - Make Entry in All Required Fields

    hi,
    I am using a scenario where an idoc is being posted into an R/3 system from a legacy application. For some reason I keep getting Idoc error 51 (Document not posted).
    Once I drill down further, the specific error states "Make entry in all required fields". Have checked to make sure all mandatory fields have been mapped and proper constant values have been specified.
    But cannot seem to get rid of the problem. Could anybody help out in determining how else to troubleshoot this and identify the possible cause?

    What IDoc Type you are trying to post ? One way is debugging the inbound function module using WE19. The second option is talking to a functional consultantor who worked, what fields are needed for that particular IDoc.
    I wouldn't care much about whether the IDoc is posted or not because, it is the ABAP ALE/EDI consultant's job to do that. The only way XI Developer is concerned is when it is not posting, ABAPer would tell what's missing.
