Manipulate designs in 12 bit & 24 bit?

How to work with 12 bit & 24 bit in photoshop windows...? Thank in advance for your technical support..

There is no way to directly manipulate images at "odd" bit-depths in PS. Any such files would be processed at the next highest bit-depth and then quantized down/ converted by whatever loaders and savers are involved, e.gf. for DDS game textures. Also depends on what color space is involved and may in fact require to set up specific color profiles to get correct conversion in some cases...

    Hello,
we have installed a license of CS 5.5 Design Standard 64-bit on a PC. The installation was a trial version and
then we purchased the CS online so we have no CD or equal.
Unfortunately the downloaded file also has been deleted.
Now we want to deactivate and install on a other PC and the question is from where can we get the file to install the software?
    Thanks for answering.

  • Designer on 64 bit?

    Hi,
I would like to know, if the Designer is supported in 64 bit systems.
Being NWDS available for only win 32 bit, I would like to know, if the designer is OS dependent.
I referred to the Product compatibility matrix of Adobe products at the adobe site, i just wanted to confirm, if it is supported or any work arounds are availalbe on 64 bit.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Thanks Dezso,
Can you please clarify me on that DDL in WDA problem...

  • I have a Novatel U998 Turbo Stick that will not run on Lion because it is designed for 32 bit. HELP

I have a Novatel U998 Turbo Stick that will not run on Lion. Can Lion be run as 32 bit? If so - how??

Lion includes a hybrid Kernel, as well 32bit and 64bit core OS. By default it will boot the 64bit part.
press 3+2  keyboard combo on bootup. This forces 32bit mode for the Kernel ( the apps are still 64bit default ). 6+4 will force 64bit mode.
The 32bit Kernel can load 32bit drivers ( kernel extensions = *.kext files in /system/library/extensions ).
The 64bit Kernel will not load any 32bit drivers
if a Application makes problems in its native 64bit mode, you can force it to run in 32bit compatibility mode by revealing it in Finder, "get-info" on the Apps Icon and checkmark "run in 32bit mode".
No matter which kernel is booted, 32 or 64 Lion can always execute 32 and 64bit apps.

  • What Firefox version choices do I have for using Firefox on new laptop running Win 7 64-bit, and how do I move bookmarks from current laptop running Firefox 3.5.13 to new laptop?

Currently running Firefox 3.5.13 on laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 and will want to move my bookmarks to a new laptop. New laptop uses Win 7 pro 64-bit OS. I have read too many conflicting reports about Firefox and Win 7 and understand that Firefox is working on a true 64-bit version. What are my choices for a stable web browser for new laptop and which particular version of Firefox is recommended and the pros and cons of that suggestion? (I believe one can run Firefox 32 bit version in the 64 bit environment, but is that the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. This is being posted from my old laptop. Thanks ...

If you go to this link you will be assured by Microsoft and Win7 "new" app checking and making sure that all drivers and software you have is compatible with Win7 64 bit. And in this article it states that Firefox version 3 IS compatible and designed for 64 bit OS, hm mm well as you know that is incorrect!! As of today Mozilla Firefox is not designed for a 64 bit computer. Thank you for your honesty and it saved me a big headache By being upnt and honest. my books!! Great job!!

  • File Import Error / distorted image CS3 3.2.0 - Blackmagic Uncompressed 10-bit YUV NTSC 4:3

    Hi All-
I have been capturing some old VHS tapes using Blackmagic Media Express via a Decklink HD Extreme 2 card (composite in, RCA audio in) and then subsequently editing the files in Premiere Pro CS3 ver. 3.2.0.  But I'm running into a strange problem with the image being very distorted upon import into Premiere.
The capture settings in Blackmagic Media Express are as follows: NTSC, Uncompressed 10-bit YUV, 29.97, drop frame.  After capture and before editing in Premiere, I watch the capture file in Windows media player and it looks and sounds fine.
When I create a new Premiere project to edit the clip, I use the following preset: Blackmagic Design, NTSC, 10-bit YUV, 4 x 3.
When I import the .avi file created during the media express capture into the new Premiere project, the image becomes extremely distorted.  However, if I choose any other preset in Premiere, the image looks OK, which seems strange because the other presets do not match the import file settings.  I should note that when I render the distorted looking file out using the Premiere media encoder, the file looks OK.
Any suggestions?  I cannot figure out why the video is not importing or showing correctly in Premiere. Help!
    Thanks a bunch,
    Rex

Has this process EVER produced non-distorted video when imported into Premiere?
If this is a NEW problem, then what has changed since the process last worked properly?
If this is a FIRST TIME process and problem, my guess is a video driver that is not 100% compatible with what you are doing... you provide no other information, so it could be you need a newer (or, sometimes, older) video driver
Windows updates have been known to cause problems

  • Cannot install drivers in win 7 32 bits using bootcamp 4 or 5

    I posted this question yesterday.
anyway, I have a imac midi 2011, 21,5 inches using OS x mountain lion 10.8.2. Manuals say I have to install bootcamp 4, because I install windows 7 profesional 32 bits.
Al follow all this instalation requirements, but when I try to install system say This software is not compatible.
I Downloaded from appel suppor site to PC intel and after I copy the .zip file in a root of USB formatted in FAT 32.
Finally is not possible download any driver. I I want to install an specific driver, is same problem.
I did all this steps but downloading bootcamp 5, and got same results. I understood Bootcamp 5 is only to install win 8 o win 7 64 bit, am I right?
    Thanks for your help
    Gilberto

To teh best of my knowledge, Boot Camp 5 only supports 64 Bit Windows installations (as it is designed for 64 bit hardware).  I dont recall positively, but I believe that Boot Camp 4 supports both 64 bit and 32 bit windows installations, but the installer may default to 64 bit mode.  You may have to extrace the drivers and install them manually in 32 bit mode.

  • I can't get itunes video to work with my windows 7 64 bit system?

I have a windows 7 64 bit operating system and have loaded the version of Itunes designated for 64 bit systems.  All of my audio content seems to work fine, but my video content is almost non-functional.  If I try to play a movie or tv show, I get the sound but no picture.  In frustration, thinking that I would be unable to use the movies i bought on Itunes, I got a converter to change the video over to mp4 format.  Well, as soon as I started trying to convert the files, the player started functioning.  I notice that after using the converter, my itunes video files work okay.  If I restart the machine and itunes without the converter running, I get the old problem of no picture but sound.  As soon as I start converting a file, then thing starts working again.
A related issue, is that I can not see the Itunes Homepage.  I can open specific pages related to searches, but the drop down menus and links are hit or miss as to whether they work or not.

hello dshultz58, does it work if you use the windows installer for plugin-based browsers from: [https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html]?

  • 32 bit Java rather than 64??

I used to be able to deposit my checks online with my PC. Hooked up seemlessly with my Epson printer. My Mac is asking for a 32 bit Java applet rather than the 64 bit. Apparently the bank system is designed for 32 bit only.  It didn't make any difference with the PC (using XP Prof).  Now I'm stumped.  How or can I select 32 rather than 64?  I'm kind of clueless when it comes to these kinds of things.

Try changing the priority order within the Java Preference application. Try these steps:
    1) Do a spotlight search for "Java"  "Java Preferences" should show up. (to do a spotlight search, hold the command key and then click spacebar.
    2) Open the Java Preferences app.
    3) Drag the 32 bit Java SE to the top above the 64 bit version.
Not sure if you'll have to re-start apps, or re-boot, but this may get you back up.  Good luck.

  • Drivers for Satellite L300-1AN for Vista 64-bit

    Hello,
I just bougt a notebook, Toshiba Satellite L300-1AN, and i Intend to install Vista 64-bit OS but i didn't find drivers for Vista 64-bit (only for Vista 32-bit). Can you help me withsome information or some links?
Another question (I am not an expert): my notebook have 4Gb RAM and some guys told me that only a 64-bit OS can use all my 4Gb RAM. Is this true?
    Thank you,
    Calin

Usually the drivers have to be specifically designed for 64-bit OS, and the installer must definitely not contain any 16-bit code (which is not compatible with 64-bit OS, but which is still a common thing nowadays - for the 32-bit drivers only, obviously). Some 32-bit drivers are somehow compatible with 64-bit OS, but there's a performance limitation (and possible conflicts with other drivers and memory resource allocation; 100% compatibility with the OS, as well as the OS' manufacturer certification, are some of the key features that will make Windows 7 better than Vista, since most of the problems are related to poorly written drivers).
Searching Toshiba's site for 64-bit drivers is definitely not a solution, since the technical specs on the website are not so detailed and cannot be used in order to narrow the search area (and there's no field to search by chipset driver, regardless the product series; even with such a field, not having the files indexed properly will bring no result).
The RealTek (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Sound) and Intel (Video, Memory Controller, USB...) drivers are easy to find, but the Toshiba-specific drivers, as well as the Toshiba applications, are a little trickyer to get. Those are the ones I'm interested in.

  • Storing integer as a bit to have storage management

I have this matrix(size:10x6000) which only stores integers 0 and 1 and what my program does is, it compares each row with all the other rows underneath it and do the XOR operation on the elements stored at the corresponding locations and as a result the new matrix i get may or maynot have more rows that were in the original matrix.
    My question:
As all the elements are either 0 or 1 ...i can treat them as bit 0 or bit 1.How to do that and store that as 1 bit instead of 16 bits.I will be able to save a lot of space by this way.

ANSWER: Using the int to store a Bit would definetly multiply the storage space by 16 times. Hence i would redomend you to use the Java.util.BitSet class .This would save a lot of space as it is specially designed to store bits. If you have any doubts - [email protected]

  • Is Aperture a 16 bit program  - need explanation?

Here's my question and I don't consider myself a tech head.
Is Aperture a 16 bit program. It never says it is in its' literature. It says you can export to Photoshop for 14 or 16 bit work, but doesn't say anything about how it handles the RAW files while in Aperture. It almost infers that it is not 14/16 bit because it says if you want to do that go to Photoshop. Is everything preserved correctly in Aperture if you have a 14/16 bit RAW file? Is there any technical difference between taking a 14/16 bit RAW file into: 1 - Lightroom and then in Photoshop or 2 - Aperture into Photoshop.
I read in an e-mail from B&H in NYC about the new Canon Mark III 1Ds is 14 bit and the newer professional printers from Epson (R4880 and up) are 16 bit (to work specifically with Macs architecture), but it doesn't mention Aperture as something that can really handle 14/16 bit RAW files. The email basically only said Lightroom and Photoshop are designed for 16 bit. It got me thinking.
Any information would be helpful, technical or otherwise; on the programs or the process.
    Thanks
    Jim

    Thanks for the info.
After reading your reply and I went and checked out the Export and the Send To External Editor choices. I do believe though that you can output as either a Tiff or a PSD file depending on your presets. When you said TIFF only, I became curious.
I'm also curious why you have to choose a DPI for export of a RAW original file? Didn't think you would have to do that since it's RAW and the setting DPI is more for printing purposes. What is the original DPI of a RAW file anyway. I don't have that setting in my camera - I don't think. I don't know????
    Thanks again for the help.

  • MSI K8N SLI Mobo (with 24 bit SB Live!) and XP64, no driv

There are no drivers to be found anywhere for the onboard 24 bit SB Li've! chip on the MSI K8N SLI platinum motherboard. It's quite confusing really, seeing how it's a board designed for 64 bit processing yet there are no drivers for the Li've! chip. I'm assuming the drivers are in Beta development, is there a tentati've release date, even if it's November, it's better than not knowing anything. I love my 64 bit system but it really stinks having no sound.
    Jan Gonsalves

As I stated in the original post, I am looking for 64 bit drivers for the Sound Blaster 24 bit Li've! chip that is onboard the MSI K8N SLI Platinum Motherboard. The "preview" drivers, as noted in the release notes:
    (http://preview.creativelabs.com/Lists/Announcements/DispForm.aspx?ID=6&Source=http%3A%2F%2Fpreview%2Ec reativelabs%2Ecom%2Fdefault%2Easpx)
    2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
One of the following supported audio cards:
    Creative SoundBlaster Li've! (except Li've! 24-bit)
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy (except Audigy LS)
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 (except Audigy 2 NX)
These do NOT support Li've! 24 bit. In fact, on the Discussion board at the preview website, a moderator wrote this:
    (http://preview.creativelabs.com/Lists/General%20Discussion/DispForm.aspx?ID=344&Source=http%3A%2F%2Fpreview%2 Ecreativelabs%2Ecom%2FLists%2FGeneral%2520Discussi on%2FAllItems%2Easpx)
"It is not a site for asking for the Li've 24-bit/Audigy LS/NX drivers (32-bit or 64-bit). If you want those drivers, post at the official Creative forum or contact technical/customer support. That will get noticed. No one reads this site except for the people involved in the 64-bit driver preview for hardware listed in the release notes."
So, according to that email is says this list is responsible for producing 64 Bit drivers for the SB Li've! 24 bit chip. I would like to know which group is responsible for the drivers and when these drivers are TBA. Like I said, rough estimates are fine, I just want to know SOMEONE is working on it.
