Mannual update a package in DTP

Hi Experts
In the version 3.x we have the option (in case of failing) to mannual update an Package in the request, however i could not find the same option in the DTP. Does anyone know if this is possible?
If yes, where i can find this option?
If no, how should I proceed now?
Thanks

Hi Rody,
In the 7.x release the idea is that you use the error handling functionality in the DTP to update data packages that have
errors. In 7.x the option to manually update a request does not exist like in 3.x,  in the monitor if you select the menu
option 'Request' you should have the option to 'Post manually' the request. In this case the complete RED request
is reloaded but you don't need to delete the existing request from the data target.
Best Regards,
Des.

  • Error in update of packaging material data in mat. master

    Hi all ,
Actually , when I was going to update the packaging material information in material master , that time noticed whole parameters - blank spaces  / attributes of the packaging material data area is not showing . Why it behaves as ? ...

This just tells me that you do not even know the basics of a material type.
SAP does not check the material type name, VERP and ROH is nothing else than a couple characters from the alphabet (in German language they even make some sense). You can create your own material type HUXX for handling units and if it is correctly setup then it will work.
How long do you consider yourself as a newcomer? you have registered in 2010. You started with SD, then MM (were all your questions got rejected because you failed to search) and now Logistics Execution (by the way I am moderator here too). And everywhere you were told to use Google to search prior to posting. Spend more time to increase the skills on searching, this gets you more benefits on the long run.
And in the 5th year with SAP and SCN you should at least know how to report an issue. If you have an error message, then tell the exact message along with the message number. Saying the setup is properly and then complaining that the system is asking for something else does not help to solve the issue, as it it just reflects your assumption but does not tell any facts.
If everything would be properly setup, then you would not have an issue. Does that sound logical?
Start from wikis like that Logistics General Handling Unit Introduction - ERP SCM - SCN Wiki
or from help.sap.com, just search with this string in google: sap best practices handling unit management

How can uninstall a version of mdf if I have a problem with this version?
    thanks

Indeed. It does look like the only MDF available is 1.52 for CS 3.0
    I also saw the note:
You must install Campus Manager 4.0.13 and MDF 1.27 before installing CMDeviceUpdates 2.0.
    RME 4.0.6 Release Notes
FYI.  LMS 2.6 is EOL.  As such I suggest you contact your account team to see if they can acquire it for you.
    Thanks.

  • Update a package in unsupported

This might sound like a stupid question but how do I update a package I previously submitted to unsupported? Am I supposed to delete the out of date package first or is there a nifty script available for it?
    Cheers.

  • How do I update/install packages from a CD?

    Hello,
I am new to Arch Linux. Kindly excuse me if this task is very trivial. I have installed the base system and updated it using pacman -Syu. I also installed all the other software packages using pacman -S <packagename>. Now I want to burn a CD containing all these updates and packages so that I can make a similar installation later on other systems which are not connected to the internet. I am not able to figure out how this can be done.
I need to upgrade the system and install all the packages I have on the CD by giving minimum number of commands at the command line. This helps me install Arch Linux on a large number of machines in a very short time.
    Thanks for your help.

If you're talking about batch installing packages, the method you suggested
will work for every package in the current directory.

  • [SOLVED] yaourt how to update aur packages

    Hi!
I got a quick question. I thought that yaourt is able to update old packages installed from Aur automatically.
So for example I type as usually yaourt -Syu --aur but I noticed it doesn't show AUR packages I can update. Only from core/extra/community
    For example I just typed:
    yaourt yaourt
    1 aur/yaourt 0.9.2.6-1 [0.9.2.5-1 installed] (2406)
and see that I can update yaourt. I have other packages installed from AUR, how do I know that a newer version is available without checking it manually?
    edit:
so I am happy to mark it as solved. It wasn't a bug, but it is a way how yaourt works.
yaourt -Syu --aur shows packages from core/extra/community.
If I press Y (to install them). It shows a list again with the information how much to download and install and then after pressing "No" to install them, yaourt continues to check AUR packages in this case.
Julien MISCHKOWITZ, the developer said he could change the behavior
    Thanks everyone for the attention!

  • Software update error - Package Authoring: my.result.title ...

    Hi,
I updated three SL servers to 10.6.7 and now install.log in all three systems are filled with an error message "Package Authoring: my.result.title and my.result.message not defined or empty". And when checking for new software updates using Server Admin - Server Updates the following error also written into the install log file: Software Update[]: Can't load distribution from (null): Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1000 UserInfo=0x1001805d0 "bad URL" Underlying Error=(Error Domain=kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork Code=-1000 UserInfo=0x100637640 "bad URL")
    Has anybody seen this before?
Searching for ideas to fix this problem.
    Best Regards, Heimo

On one of my MacMini Server 10.6.7
I'm also seeing a string of these entries in my machines.
5/17/11 5:59:25 AM          Software Update[30234]          Package Authoring: my.result.title and my.result.message not defined or empty
Typically I get about 25 of them in a block and then
    5/17/11 5:59:28 AM          com.apple.launchd[1]          (com.apple.suhelperd[30235]) Exited with exit code: 2
    All in about 10 seconds.
This happens once a day at about the same time...
This is a not so busy MacMini Server that is providing Software Updates to clients ...
I also appear to see this on the client side of a SnowLeopard Clients....
so perhaps it is not a server error at all... But it does appear to be Software Update related.... In my case, I have an internal, local Software Update Server.

  • Generate every hour event 2331 for each DP after Software update Deployment Package deletion

We have an organization build on SCCM 2012 R2 with 270 DPs configured with DP Pulls function. The centralized point contains DP sources available for all DP Pull.
We have some problems with Windows Update deployment package, and we decide to delete them. We first remove them from all DPs. After more than a month we delete the deployment package. From this day, we see that the SMS_Distribution_Manager service generate
every hour logs for contacting each of the 270 DPs to ask them for deleting the package.
Remark: At the time we run the delete, some of the DPs were not connected. After 3 weeks all of them were connected. A month later, the SMS_Distribution_Manager
generate always these events every hour.
Each DP responds with a 2331 event that seems OK. Every hour the system begin with two events (2301 and then 2300 for this package, after a 2331 for each
DP). All these events are also present in the application log of the Event Viewer. After the last DP connection that respond with 2331 event, there are no event that generalize a task for the package to definitively remove it from the database.
Could anyone help me to correct the system?

There are no error messages. There are only messages generated in Distribution_manager logs and Event Viewer, showing us server processing and network activity on package that was deleted over 40 days, and that happened every hours. The Microsoft support
give us directives to delete orphan records in 4 tables
    pkgServers_L,pkgServers_G,PkgStatus_L,PkgStatus_G)
At this time the correction has positive effect.

  • Update existing package - naming convention/workflow questions

OK, so we have an existing package:
    Adobe_CS6_MasterCollection_en_US_20120910_Install.pkg
    Fast forward 1 month...
We now want to update the package so it has latest patches and so it is also renamed:
    Adobe_CS6_MasterCollection_en_US_20121010_Install.pkg
How do we do this with AAMEE 3.1...there doesn't seem to be an opportuntity to rename the package.
Is it safe to simply rename the package before we begin to update it? Or can/should we rename it after we have updated it?
And what do we rename...just the *.aamee file? Or do we also need to rename the existing packge that we are updating? Before or after?
    Lots of questions....
Our goal/intent is to be able to provide monthly or quarterly updates...this would require our naming convention to show correct date on the package.
    Thanks,
    Don

    Hi,
I understand your problem about maintining the AAMEE packages without renaming them. May be a low cost solution for you right now is to add 1 more level of folder structure where you dont rename the AAMEE packages (and AAMEE package folder name) but rename its parent folder. So if you have an X.pkg made inside X folder on mac, keep this X folder inside Y folder. And you can change this Y manually after successfully updating the package to reflect current status. Doing this, you you are actually changing the path where the AAMEE package is kept on your machine but not the package itself. So you can keep modifying the current package and still maintain the version information.
I completely agree with rahul that the ability to rename the AAMEE package after modifying it is a good utility, but right now this solution may help you in maintainence.

First, I agree with Karol, use the AUR so that pacman can do its job.  Second, when you do your make, there is no reason to run it as root (until you do the make install)  For the initial build, it is much safer to not use root; plus all the files in your home directory will continue to belong to use, not to root.
    But, try the AUR.
