Manual Activity in SNOTE

Hi All,
Would like to know if adding a new field to the ABAP structure is a manual activity or not in a SNOTE.

Hello Vinodh,
It depends if it's a DDIC structure or not.
If it's a DDIC one, SNOTE can't do it automatically and it's a manual activity.
If it's a local structure defined in an include, SNOTE can change the source code automatically.

Check the release that note is coming in by going to SAP service marketplace, and then check the release of the system that you are using.
If you are on equal or higher release then that note is available in your system.

SCSM - R2 UR2 upgrade - Rob Ford's MP has stopped working - Parent IR or SR Affected User in Manual Activity

Since we upgrade SCSM 2012 last weekend the workflows associated with Rob Ford's 'Parent IR or SR Affected User in Manual Activity' have been failing

Has anyone else come across MP/workflows that have stopped working following the upgrade? My company are pretty reliant on this running. Any help you can provide woul dbe really appreciated.

I already answered this offline but if anyone has this issue here is my reply:
Did you upgrade to R2 and are you seeing “Invalid HEX Character” errors in the Operations Manager event log on your workflow server?
If so, there is a bug in R2 that causes this. You need to request a brand new hotfix, KB2961848 to address this.

SCSM 2012 - Manual Activity stuck in pending

I have a service request that was open with a single manual activity attached. The service request has been moved to the status of closed however the manual activity is still in pending. How do i cancel or close the activity?

You will need to import the SMLETS module from
http://smlets.codeplex.com/ for the correct cmdlets. Just install the SMLets and use the command "import-module smlets" at the start of your script or powershell command line.
Make sure that your command line is constructed correctly as the portion "Get-SCSMObject- ClassName" should be "Get-SCSMObject
-ClassName"

If you have a manual activity (Human Task) and you would like to define a task deadline in order to continue the process you can define it in the task definition as desribed here: Configuring Human Tasks - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.1)
But if you just like to stop the process without manual activities involved you can ideed use the Timer Catch Event. See section "6.8.2 Introduction to the Timer Catch Event" in Modeling Business Processes with Oracle BPM for further details.

Diagnosis
Dimension PWXTY64 does not have a number range interval. A new interval has to be generated so that IDs can be assigned. As IDs already exist, the interval has to be created during object activation. This is only possible in BI client 001 as the interval is client-dependent.
The error occurred in client 000 - probably in after-import handling.
System Response
Dimension PWXTY64 can only be activated manually in client 001.
Procedure
Activate Dimension PWXTY64 manually in client 001.
Please let me know what needs to be done to avoid this error

Have you found a solution to this issue? We experienced the same thing this weekend, and we had to manually activate the Infocubes using the activation program. But, if there is a way to avoid this in the future, that would be great.

Manual Activity Implementation

We are integrating our existing product with Oracle workflow and have come across a scenario of manual activity implementation.
I have used manual activities in other workflow engine. However I could not find any direct reference to manual activity implementation in the workflow guide.
I saw notification activity but as per my requirement I do not need to send email but instead work only from worklist screen.
How can I go about implementing manual activities?

It is possible to model the scenario where a user needs to perform some manual activity before the workflow process can continue with the use of the 'Block' activity.
Extract from the Workflow Guide:
The Block activity lets you pause a process until some external program or manual step completes and makes a call to the CompleteActivity Workflow Engine API. Use the Block activity to delay a process until some condition is met, such as the completion of a concurrent program. Make sure your program issues a CompleteActivity call when it completes to resume the process at the Block activity.

I'm trying to add a link or shortcut to a transaction in a manual activity for the GP Im developing....
I get the following error when tying the link over a Managed System of the Solman (If the link is for the Solution Manager there is no problem):
And this message when I clck over Display Help...
Anybody knows where should I specify the Manage System??
(I asumed that I would be automatically refered to the Managed system over wich I created the GP....)

I couldn't implement the note you told me. I checked the note and it has two instructions on it, but for a component with a support package level lower than the one in my system....

just he can mark complete or mark as faild

Issue - CIF queue for activation of IM requiring manual activation.

Hi,
For inbound setting, the CIF queue for activation of IM is getting stuck with ready status. Consequently the background job getting failed with time limit exceed status.
The same queue when activated manually, gets cleared. Thus requirng manual intevetion.
Please suggest solution to get rid of this manual intervention.

If you use inbound queues check QIN scheduler on SCM side - transaction SMQR.
From help:
Call transaction SMQR and choose Registration.
Enter the queue name CF* and make the required settings.
EXEMODE: Execution mode (D - Dialog work process; B - Batch work process)
MAXTIME: Maximum runtime that the QIN scheduler uses for activating a destination;
default value: 60 seconds
USERDEST: RFC destination with LOGON data. Specification of a logical destination
with its own language on the local
system. This means that the burden of integration can be distributed to a server group.
NRETRY: Number of repetitions for failed calls, default value: 30
RDELAY: Wait time between individual calls, default value: 300

Do we really need to use manual step to import the query to production system using some program ? will not be automatic as we do it normal reports ?

I am missing a "call forwarding icon" when manually actived

I am using cell telephones for more then 18 years now and i missing one options which was availible on all telephones in the past. (Nokia, Mobira, Motorola Sony-Ericsson) "The Call-Forwarding-Icon"
When I am using to call forwarding services I need to go in the settings menu to see it is active. There is no indication icon that this service is active.
Now I need to go in all the menu for seeing if the call-forwarding is active. Why can apple builtin a small icon (same as bluetooth).
Is their a programm that can display this service?

Activity prices maintained manually..Is KSII/MFN1 possible?

Hi Experts,
We have this scenario:
1. Activity prices are entered manually in KP26.
2. All Costs are maintained as Activity independent costs.
3. For Production Cost centers, some costs (primary costs) are Activity relevant and others not relevant at all for Activity.
4. No Splitting structure maintained so far.
Now, we are considering calculating Actual Activity prices through KSII and then MFN1 for revaluating Process orders.
I tried KSII in our test system, where I got the following error message # KP211. I even tried by maintaining the Actual Activity type category '01' and Actual price indicator '05' in AT master, but no luck.

In actual price calculation, all plan activity prices, meaning those calculated automatically (activity price indicator 1 and 2) and those set manually (activity price indicator 3), are treated as if they have been set manually.

The SAP System cannot calculate activity prices automatically.
Processing is cancelled.
Procedure
Check your activity type planning. To calculate the activity price automatically, you must set the activity price indicator accordingly.

1.Given our case, is it possible to do KSII/MFN1? If yes, what configuration and master setup is required?
2. What accounting/CO entry posted MFN1. Especially, want to know if value also posted to CO-PA?

sorry for my delay. 
 
Yes, you can process KSII even if you maintained planned activity prices manually. For this, the Activity type master should be activity price indicator "5" for Actual, hoever it's defalt value for planning (KP26). 
Could you check activity planning value in your period as follows; 
 
1. Go to transaction KP26 
2. Selection screen; 
 Set your version and year/period and also cost center/activity types in problem. 
 Push Next Layout button (Ctrl + F8) and set layout 1-204 (named "Control indicators"). 
3. Push "Overview screen" (F5) 
 
You can see plan price indicator and also ACTUAL price indicator, so you have to check if actual price indicator is not "7" or "Blank". If not, please set it with value "5" or "6". 
Hope you can understand what I wrote above, but if you have any queries, please feel free to ask me. 
 
Additonaly about your question regarding "activity independent" cost planning 
In F1 help document for field "Equivalence Numbers", there're useful description how activity-independent costs allocates activity type and activity prices calculates. If you do not use cost split or activity-depend planning, you can process activity price calculation by "Equivalence Numbers". it's easy-way to allocate cost to each activity type. you can see this field also in KP26 with layout 1-201 (sample) 
the following passage from field "Equivalence Numbers" F1 document. 
 
- Equivalence Numbers 
Weighting factor for distribution of activity-independent plan costs of a cost center onto the available activity types. 
- Use 
This field group serves to weight the activity types created in a cost center. After weighting, the activity-independent plan costs of a cost center are distributed onto the available activity types. 
-Procedure 
If you want to change or create equivalence numbers in planning, this field must be defined in the planning layout. If this field is not defined, any existing equivalence numbers will be displayed, but they cannot be changed. 
Examples 
You have planned the following activity types for cost center 4420: 
Activ. type Plan quantity Equiv. nr. 
 
FST 400 hrs 3 
REP 50 hrs 1 
RST 20 hrs 1 
 
 Total: 5 
This cost center has planned activity-independent costs worth $20,000 . These costs are distributed according to activity price calculation onto the iteratively calculated activity prices (cost rates) of the activity types:

FST 20,000 X 3/5 = 12,000 $12,000 / 400 hrs = 30 $/hr

I have maintained Activity Rates through KP26. On Activity Master I have set Act. price indicator = 5.
Now when i am executing KSII it is giving me error message as :

"The error message KP211 is display by the system due
to the SAP System cannot calculate activity prices automatically.
(can you review the settings in the system).
The procedure that you have to follow is to review transaction code
KP26 and your activity types.
From viewpoint of actual price iteration all plan prices are political
in the sense that 'prices does not change during actual price
iteration'. If all activity types have indicator 1 then everything
will be evaluated with plan price in actual. So actual price iteration
has nothing to compute because no price will be changed. You have to
set price indicator to 5 or 6 in actual price indicator for at least
one activity type in order to calculate the actual activity price.
When you change some activity type master data in transaction KL02,
these changes take effect in all relevant tables, BUT please notice
that the values of TARKZ, TARKZ_I etc. are only DEFAULT values for
activity planning and therefore ONLY READ ONCE when the relevant
planning set is created. Subsequent changes to the master data (default
value) take not effect in the planning sets. You have to change the
values in every single planning set manually."
You indicates that for the activity types you have set in the master data
actual price indicator to 5 (Actual price, automatically based on
on activity). But this is only a default value and can be overwritten
for example during planning.
Please see table COKL for cost center / activity type if have an empty field for
the actual price indicator. Thus the system only finds the plan price
indicators during price calculation and message KP 211 is justified if
you consider the following part of the long text:
In actual price calculation, all plan activity prices, meaning those
calculated automatically (activity price indicator 1 and 2) and
those set manually (activity price indicator 3), are treated as if they
have been set manually.
In order to run KSII as expected by you, you have to execute trans.
KP26 for the cost center and activity type using layout 1-204
(Activity Types: Indicators).
Here you can set the actual price indicator to 5.
Afterwards there should be no further problem with KSII.

Error while activating the ODS "Request No longer Exist in ODS".

Hi All,
I had deleted one request from four ODS's before completely loaded from R/3. Now when i am trying to activate from one of them using process chain it is giving me the error massage "Request No longer Exist in ODS".
But when i am manually activating this it is not giving me any error.
Please suggest solution for the same.

Already you have deleted the request. How can you activate the same request?
