Manual Creation of Production(confirmed) in Planning book

Hi Experts,
I just want to ask if in case I manually enter a production order quantity for a certain material location in Production(Confirmed) key figure, would it automatically populate dependent demand quantity on components?
I understand that if production order comes from SAP R/3 and CIF to APO, I will have both production order and dependent demand in palnnign book. But in case production order is loaded from an external file or manually entered, would it also gives me dependent demand? Thanks.
Regards,
Mylene

Hi Mylene,
I agree with Virender (who seems right quite often actually )
I think you are approaching this the wrong way: you cannot create a SNP production confirm; and will never be able to...
However, you can create a produciton confirm order via interface; and , providing you do that properly, your order will be visible in SNP, both in produciton confirm and dependant demand.
I hope it make sense.
Where you need to concentrate your effort is on this interface.
You will probalby need interface to create PDS / PPM and to create comfirm order.
I am not an expert here, but I guess the best is to use bapi (e.g  "PrdDataStructureAPS" (BUS10014) or "ProdProcessModelAPS" (BUS10003 / "ManufactOrderAPS" (BUS10503)

  • How can you block production for a specific product in SNP planning book

    Hi All,
Looking for a way to manually indicate a decision to prevent production in a specific cell for a product in the SNP planning book utilizing the supply planning and capacity leveling heuristics.  For this requirement the resource would have available capacity during that time period.  It also could plan other products in that time period.  The requirement is for a planner to manually go into the planning book to somehow indicate that the heuristic should not consider that time period as available for a specific product, while still leaving the resource available for other products.
Has anyone run into this before?  Any experience on how to stop a heurisitc from considering a specific time bucket  for a specific product as available for orders?
    Thanks
    -Mike

    Hello Mike,
I haven't tried it yet myself but I kow that there is the option in the Planning Book to manually fix several periods for a specific location product. This will prevent the heuristic from planning these periods for the specified product. For details please have a look in the Online Help for SNP under key word "Order Fixing".

  • How to manually enter forcast/demand in SNP Planning Book

    Hi experts,
Kindly help me there are two questions on my mind. First
    1. How to create manually forecast in SNP planning book? and also in RRP3? (if the product is in house it automatically creates planned order, if externally procured PREQ but how about forecast using product view?
    2. If the forecast is in the past but I want to upload that in the SNP Planning book?
Even if I change the period structure date it does not reflect the past dates in the planning book.  Since the planning book of SNP is standard how am I be able to change the planning book time bucket start date.
    Thanks and Best Regards!!!!

    Hi,
in /SAPAPO/SJKTST04 you set the type of order FCST, then you planning area and version, keyfigure to populate (your forecast keyfigure, probably 9ADFCST), the order type (usually FA)
In the details you set product, date to start, in horizon - the number of orders to create, if you set 10, you'll get 10 orders starting from your start date).
Unfortunately through here, you gan create orders with fixed quantity only and also for only one product/location combination.
If you already have DP available, even for testing I find it more easy to release forecast from there.
For your second question - at least for 4.1 (I don't have a 5.0 system to check) you cannot have past dates in a column other than "Initial"
    Hope that helps,
    br,
    Mikhail

  • Automatic creation of production orders via planned orders

    Hello experts!
is there a way via customizing to trigger an automatic creation of production order from a planned order when the planned order finished date is within the next week?
    thanks

    David,
    Not in customizing.
Most people create a job step after the RMMRP000 program step in their MRP job, using program PPBICO40.  Dynamic date range is available as a selection criteria against the opening date, which is the standard criteria for selecting and converting planned orders (not finish date).

  • Distribuition Function in Planning book

    Hello Everyone!,
I facing issue in using distribution function in planning book.
I have to update one KF for many products & I'm trying to use the distribution function.
But the problem is I have many rows/products loaded in planning book & for each row/product I have to manually enter the value & operator. This is cumbersome.
Is there a way to update all products/rows in planning book with single execution?
What & how distribution formula can be used.
Any inputs in this regard will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Amol,
Thanks for the info, your suggestion may help me but the problem that I'm facing is that, If I load individual product in planning book then the KF is appearing in distribution function window.
But when I load all products the KF is not appearing in distribution function window.
Also I have observed that when I load individual product, the KF field is available in editable mode but when I load all products, the KF row in planning book is non-editable. I think this is preventing the KF appearance in distribution function window.
    See below.....
    When loaded single product
    When loaded multiple products
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

  • Days supply is not populating in the planning book

    Hi Experts,
When I select multiple products in the planning book, the value is papulating as total but if I drilled down to individual product then days supply(Key figure) values are not populating in the planning book.
Please let me know if any idea.
    Regards,
    Hrishi

From what you mention it looks like you do not use the standard SNP Planning Book. Was the macro inactive so that you had to regenerate?
When you move a macro from workbench to level change it should not require to be regerated.
Please check if following macros are active (green) under level change in sequence
    Determine Workdays
    Layout Attributes
    Drill (Level)
Else compare the macros and sequence in the standard SNP Planning Book with the Planning Book you are using.
The Day's Supply (All: Day's Supply) and Determine workdays macros are essential for populating the day's supply keyfigure.
    Thanks,

  • SNP Material view planning book - Upload forecast

We are using SNP heuristics for infinite planning, we have a key figure to maintain forecast. once we load the products into the planning book, we would like to download into local file which is possible and modify the numbers and re upload into the planning book. Advise if there is any option to upload the data from xls file to planing book.
In demand planning book, there is an option to download and upload however not able to see this option in SNP material view planning book.
Appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks Ken for checking on this.
We will use copy and paste to load the data into SNP material planning book.

  • ATD Check Issue in creation TLB Order Manually in Planning Book.

    Hi ,
I am facing issue in ATD Check in TLB Interactive Planning while creating TLB Order Manually.
    Here goes scenario.
I am creating TLB Order Manually in TLB Planning Book with below Information.
      Demand Date u2013 02.01.2012 ( Todayu2019s date ) & Qty u2013 20
Considering Lead Time of 10 Days to supply from Plant to Depot, Delivery Date in Purchase Order is calculated as 12.01.2012
Now I do outbound delivery for this PO in ECC. As client is not using Routes Transit Times functionalities, Planned Goods Issue Date for Outbound Delivery in ECC is calculated as Delivery Date from PO which is 12.01.2012 minus Transit Time in Route which is maintained as 0. Hence Planned Goods Issue Date in ECC is 12.01.2012.
This is same as Requirement Date for Outbound Delivery. PGI for this delivery is yet to happen. When PGI is done then issue is resolved.
When this Delivery goes in APO, it has requirement date as 12.01.2012 and now when I create TLB Order in Interactive Planning Book manually it allows me to create TLB Order of 20 qty extra before populating below message
u201CThere is only an ATD quantity of XXX available for product GHECP02u201D
In short it allows me to create 20 extra PO as Outbound Delivery is shifted to future bucketu2019s and  hence is not counted in ATD Issues.
I am using Daily Bucket Profile in TLB Planning Book.
If I use Monthly Bucket Profile my issue is solved but again when client is creating TLB Order , by default system picks first date of bucket which client does not want.
Is there any way where in I can avoid this excess PO Creation. When it checks ATD Availability it should consider these outbound deliveries which are of future dates.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Hi Sameer,
Such kind of issues would come when  master data/transaction data in APO and R/3 are not in sync.
You could go in for some custom development for TLB orders, but it's like opening a pandora's box as you are messing with teh standard working of system. It could create data inconsistencies between APO and R/3 and I would not really advise this. It's best to maintain all the relevant master data/transaction between APO and R/3 in sync.
Better ask your client to maintain the relevant routes as required. Otherwise they should create PO directly in R/3 as required.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Manual creation of planned order in REM

    Hi,
Can we manually create a planned order in repetitive manufacturing? I know that in case we run MRP , then planned order for finished is created with order type 'PE' due to which it cannot be converted to production order.
I dont want to run MRP , still can i create a planned order manually with the same order type 'PE' ? I tried in MD11, but not getting option to chose PE as it is not available  in F4 of planned order profile.
    Please help..
    Regards.

    Dear,
You cannot create a planned order with PE order type manually, because a planned order of REM related material gets order type "PE" only when it is assigned with a Production Version.
So achieve manual creation of REM Planned order with PE type with the following options,
I - Using MD11 transaction create a planned order with LA type and assign a suitable REM related Production version to the planned order during creation itself, now this order would automatically become "PE" order type on saving the order.
    2. In the planning table using MF50, you can directly create a planned order for a production line using F7 key.

  • Reg:Bapi for mass creation of production order/confirmation

    Dear Experts,
I wanted to know with the following BAPI is it possible to create Multiple production orders for different semifinshed Materials along with material availability check and other functions similar to CO01 transaction.
I knew there are standard transactions for mass confirmation for production orders. But i need a confirmation on this BAPI . As i am planning to go-ahed with ,mass creation of production order creation / Order confirmation in single custom transaction.Need back flush activity even supported.
    BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE to create the orders.
    BAPI_PRODORD_RELEASE to release the orders.
BAPI_PRODORDCONF_GET_TT_PROP to get the default data for the confirmation.
BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT to ost the confirmation of production order.
Along with this BAPI do i need to commit any other BAPI to carry out back flush for components.
Need your suggestions to take it further.
    Regards,
    Daya.

  • Create manual demand in planning book

Please, can someone tell me how to create manual demand in the interactive planning book. Thanks!!!

    Hi David,
Follow the below steps to enter manual demand in planning book.
    1) Use transaction /sapapo/sdp94
    2) Either you can use selection window or selection profile to load your data(product location combination in a version) for uploading demand.
    3) In selection window, select the product, location and version and enter
    4) Once your selected items are seen, double click on the location product combination for which demand needs to entered.
    5) The data will get populated into the planning book
    6) Meanwhile, select your planning book and data view which contains the relevant key figure for which manual demand needs to be entered (say like forecast, demand, dependent demand etc.,)
    7) Goto change mode
    8) Then enter the suitable demand values in the key figures in the planning book
    9)  Once the data are entered, save the changes.

  • Production during resource downtime in SNP Distribution Planning Book

    Hi Guys,
We are in SCM7.0. Have got PPDS along with SNP and DP. SNP Planned orders are converted to Production orders and are capacity planned in the PPDS planning board.
When a production order gets its partial confirmation in ECC then the Production (Confirmed) KeyFigure in the SNP Distribution planning book doesnot considers the resource downtimes / weekends. This results in receipts during downtime/weekends in day bucket in the SNP planning book.
Before partial confirmation, the scheduled production orders (in PPDS) is reflected correctly in the day bucket considering the downtimes / weekends.
Any suggestion on relevant Notes / Settings.
    Thanks
    Srini

    Hi,
Ok, I understand the issue completely now.
But did you right click on the bucket with downtime in SNP planning book, choose diaply details and see the order details?.
After doing this you can check in product view and MD04 to check if the order is actually open in this period.
If it not open in the period corresponding to the bucket in which it is displayed in planning book and product view and MD04 are fine, Please check this and update, maybe other experts could help.
If you have a really good abapper, you could also debug the planning book load or raise an OSS to be safe.

  • Purchase requisition date in SNP planning book and product view not in sync

    Hello Experts,
We have an issue with display of purchase requisition date in SNP planning book.
We are manually entering the PR's for a perticular week from Monday - Sunday(01.09.2014- 07.09.2014), when the last PR is entered on 07.09.2014, it does not appear on the same day in planning book(cell becomes empty) and moves to 06.09.2014, thus quantity on 06.09.2014 is the summation of the quantities present on 06th and 07th.
The PR dates are appearing correct when we click on display details in planning book and they are correct in product view, MD04 as well.
Additionally, this is the same date on which daylight saving time comes  into effect.
Kindly advise if anyone has faced similar situation earlier.
    Many thanks,
    Aditi

    Hi Aditi,
Check the time zone that you have in your location in ECC and APO.
Also note it is recommended that you maintain the same system time zone in APO and in ECC. (check tcode STZAC in both systems).
Different time zones should generate this kind of inconsistencies.
    Kind Regards,
    Mariano

  • Not scheduling on manual creation of planned order

Creating planned order through MD11 and noticed there scheduling not done and capacity planning not done and on doing scheduling manually dates altered and capacity planned which are appearing in CM01 for the respective week
Planned order created through MRP are fine with scheduling an capacity planning .
Please let us know what could be a reason for not updating on manual creation.

    Hi
This is standard behavior of SAP as when you create the planned order through MD11 manually , you need to do the detailed scheduling manually by executing schedule in Edit>Schedule.

  • Transport planning book from Production to Dev/ Test system

    Hi APO Gurus,
I need clarity for below mentioned point u2013
I have a correct planning book in production system. I have a different structure in testing as well as in quality system. I want to transport planning book with all data views and macrou2019s associated with it to development system (or in test system).
How to do this? Please elaborate with details
    Thanks in advance.

I did the transport from Production to Dev client using TSOBJ last week. Basis team helped in connecting Prod and Dev clients.
Everyting went ok except selection IDs. When I check 'with selection transport' in TSOBJ, it ends up in short dump saying Timed Out in reading SQL table /sapapo/sdpsetde. We increased the system profile parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time" from 1800 seconds to 3600 seconds. It still timed out with same message. So, I created the transport without selection IDs and it worked.
Next, I downloaded the only required selection IDs (total 498) from the DP Planning Area in Production client to excel spreadsheet using table /sapapo/TS_SELKO. Then created another transport using TSOBJ.....this time I used the 'Transport of Selections' section for Selection IDs and used single value selection from drop down, uploaded the IDs from clipboard option. That worked.
Although my problem is solved....but by any chance, has anyone encountered that TSOBJ Timed out? Is there any OSS note for this?
