Manual EWA generation in SP12

Fellow Members.
The time has come to say goodbye to beloved DSWP transaction (and RDSMOP_MAIN). SAP has moved everything to  workcenters. That is a good move and looks sleek.
Today I had a sudden urge to generate ad hoc EWA in SP12 manually in a good old way (creating a empty session in DSWP and then running Refresh Session in SDCCN on managed system). But to my surprise in workcenter there is no way we could do this (or atleast I did not find any options to generate ad hoc EWA in workcenter).
So any of you were successful in generating ad hoc EWA in SP12 please let me know. Or do you have any information from SAP side that this feature would not be available anymore then pls update me.
Thanks You
Vivek

Hi Vivek,
It is possible and you need to goto system monitoring workcenter for this
follow the steps in wiki
How to create an Ad Hoc EWA report in Solution Manager 7.1 - Solution Manager - SCN Wiki
this still works and i have tested in all 7.1 versions

    Plsssssssss advice.thanks a lot n advance....

    Hi
System does not support invoicing on lowest task level.

  • GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED in EWA generation

    Hi Experts,
I am facing the following dump u201CGETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED u201C, Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLDSVAS_GRAPH" - in u201CSET_EXTREME_VALUES".The main program was "RDSMOP_MAIN ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 275 of the (Include) program "LDSVAS_GRAPHACI".
Friends I am facing this issue while generating EWA report for R3 server only, Iu2019m able to generate EWA report for other servers like BI, CRM. But while creating EWA report for ERP server Iu2019m getting this dump.
Certain thing I would like to highlight. Recently we did a support pack upgrade, mine is a Solman 7.0 EHP1 system. We update the support pack up to " SPS 6 ".Before the support pack upgrade it was working fine, I was able to generate the EWA report for all my servers.
Do any body face similar kind of problem?
    Responses are highly appreciable

I had read the document attached in note 976054. As per this note data will be collected using SMD.
Now I want to know that from where can I start SMD? Is the any configuration require for SMD?

  • Can I reschedule Early Watch Report's generation schedule?

    Dear gurus,
There is a backgroud job running in our ECC PRD system. It gathered the performance data and sent it to SAP.
SAP will generate Early Watch Report for(EWA) me every week.
Now my question is:  Can I reschedule the EWA generation period in ECC PRD via SDCCN? Because I want to get  Early Watch Report that contains our PRD system's healthy status from 1st June to 30ty June (the whole week).
Can I? Hope you could give me some advice.
    Thank you very much!
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
I guess you meant "the whole month" instead of "the whole week".  Unfortunately the EarlyWatch Alert report is always weekly and cannot cover an entire month.  But take a look at Service Level Reporting.  An SLR can be weekly or monthly and contains much of the same data as the EWA.  I think it will satisfy your requirements.  A good starting point is here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/36/5ec6267ba34de08c55e3c310ebdece/frameset.htm
    Good luck!

  • Quality Score for manual inspection lot

    Dear All,
As per the UD codes selected during the UD, the quality score for the vendor is updated.
This happens for both of the following cases.
    1) Lot generated during GRN
    2) Lot created manually
Is there any requirement of updating the score for manual lots. Is it useful.
I am updating the score for the samples received from vendor. Then again updating the score after I receive the actual qty.
So vendor score is updated twice. Is it the correct process of giving score to vendor through UD.
    Regards
    Ruta

    Hi Ruta,
It is not correct to award the quality score  for samples, samples  you can handle separatly through manual lot  generation, you can generate the lot  using  separate inspection type( may be 7  as vendor audit / samples) which does not have quality score assigned.
And for actual lots generated throgh GR against PO (01 insp type)  you can assign the actual quality scores . Quality scores  / rating  using this process will be correct and realistic one.

  • EWA report: didnt send to SAP!!! Help Please

    Hi experts,
All of my servers generated EWA reports, but it did not sent to SAP. I have the checked mark to send to SAP.... It was working fine. one of my team members, he deleted all the jobs and scheduled em again.... which perticular job do I need to schedule to send to SAP? I thought this is the job that needs be schedulled >>> "SEND_SYSTEM_RELATIONSHIP_TO_SUPP". this job is working fine. Other than that, I dont understand why it didnt send to SAP?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advanced!!
I will post points for sure!!

    Hi Afi,
Kindly note the sequence of steps to be done for EWA generation.
    1. Setup of the Server, database and system in transaction SMSY.
    2. Generating the RFC's for the System and ensuring that the trusted
    RFC works.
    3. Adding the system to a logical component and assigning the logical
component to a Solution Landscape created in DSWP.
    3. Setting up of EWA from the Solution Settings from the operations
    setup in DSWP.
    4. Configuring the SDCC / SDCCN on the satellite system (see note Note 763561 ) and adding the Solution Manager RFC to the SDCC settings.
    5. Refreshing of sessions via the SDCCN transaction on the Satellite
system. This can be automated via the Auto session Manager Report.
    6. Processing of the session and sending the collected data to Solution
    manager.
    7. Processing the collected data in the Solution Manager System and
    generating the EWA Report.

  • Implementing a "please wait" page in a pageflow portlet

    Hello-
I am using a page flow to trigger some actions on a remote system. The action
can take a few seconds to complete, and I would like to show an intermediate page
directly after invoking the action that would display a "please wait" message
    while the action is finshing.
I was able to acomplish this outside the portal by the following:
-User clicks button to invoke action
    -action just forwards to wait.jsp
-javascript in wait.jsp calls the actual remote action that takes a while
-when remote action has completed, action forwards to result page
This works fine outside the portal...I am simply auto-submitting a form on the
wait.jsp page with the proper action. The problem is that I can't get it to work
in the portal. I am unable to find a way to generate the proper url on the wait.jsp
page to submit to the action to that the page flow stays "inside" the portal.
If anyone has implemented this type of behavior in the portal, I would appreciate
    any thoughts...
    thanks,
    Howie

Unfortunately href generates the url internaly (with a quite complicated
algorithm), so I don't think you will find anything. A dirty manual
url generation (by examining some sample urls generated by netui:anchor)
    probably might be much faster.
However, if you find something nicer I would be glad to hear about it.

    Hi Don-
    Thanks for the reply-
I tried using the <netui:anchor> tag, but the problem is that it generates the
entire <a href> tag...I need just the url value so that I can use it in the javascript
to auto-refresh the page to the proper action...
I may try poking around the API to see if there is something I use there...
    don <[email protected]> wrote:
    Hi Howie,
I think you could try at least two methods:
    1. Try to use netui anchor, which will generate a valid url for both
portal and standalone pages. One of the pageFlows probably should be
nested in the other one, so you can link it without problems.
If it doesn't work, or you can't use netui:anchor for some reason here
is another tip (It is not too nice, but I think it should work):
    1. Try to get the last part of the URL: run the pageFlow without portal,
so you can get an url that points to it.
It will be something like this:
    host/application/folder1/.../folderN/someAction.do or
    host/application/folder1/.../folderN/somePageFlow.jpf
I guess you will need the .../folderN/someAction.do part as the relative
    URL of the pageFlow/action.
    2. Add a netui:base tag to your jsp page. It will create a prefix for
each urls on the page, so you can use the url you got in 1.
I'm not sure, but the url you got from 1 and 2 may overlap, in this case
you simply remove the overlaping part from 1.
    Hope it will work,
    don

First goto the tcode ; MD04 and check whther the balance qty is showing in QI, if so take the Lot number and goto Tcode : QVM2 / QA12 and post .
Try using the QVM2 transaction code and post the balance qty which is showing under Inspection.

  • FM8 with RoboHelp 7 -- Straightforward way to generate as Web Help?

I'm an experienced FrameMaker user who hasn't used any
version of RoboHelp for a while. I'm currently trying to use
RoboHelp 7 generate a structured FrameMaker book OR the book's
individually selected .fm or .mif files as an HTML-based help
system with a properly hierarchical TOC.
What a mess! I've tried reading the help, browsing the Web,
and searching this forum and am very surprised I can't find any
straightforward discussion of how to do this.
First, RoboHELP 7 seems not to want to create a sensible TOC.
I've tried using a variety of options such as Convert FrameMaker
TOC, mapping styles, and so on. The result is a chaotic dogs
breakfast that seems to do strange things with the TOC hierarchy.
The RoboHELP help system seems to suggest that the way to remedy
the problem is to manually edit the TOC after each gen of the
    project!
Second, RoboHelp seems to not process non-breaking spaces
contained in the FrameMaker source files properly, particularly if
those non-breaking spaces are contained in variables...(?)
So, is there any straightforward way to generate a FrameMaker
book or an individually selected set of book files as a coherent
system with a TOC that *doesn't* require extensive manual
    post-generation fiddling?
Moreover, is it just me? I'm normally good with tools, but
must confess I'm decidedly dis-impressed with RoboHelp 7's
inability to ingest a FrameMaker book or .fm files and product
    somewhat usable output straightaway...
    Cheers & thanks,
    Riley

    Hi Riley,
My experience with FM 8 and RH 7 is the same; however, I
    fixed the TOC problem.
It's very important how the FM TOC file looks like. You
cannot use inline bold or character specific styles applied to the
paragraph styles used to create your TOC. When you import the TOC
file you should not do anything with it ... just let RH generate
the output based on the TOC. IOW, it's VERY important that you
prepare your FM files before using RH. They're certainly not a
    match made in heaven!
The only problem I have these days is to successfully
recreate a numbered list with proper indentation. RH does not map
these things automatically in any sensible way (at least not as far
as I know). For now it seems I'm stuck with ordered lists that show
the number as part of the paragraph which is not good as it's poor
    typography.
So, basically RH 7's integration with FM 8 has some serious
    usability issues ... :)
    Best of luck,
    Jon

  • Debugging problem, in inbound function module.

    Hi Experts,
R/3 system is receiving data through an IDOC called WPUUMS[sales data]. It has been seen that when this data is posted in R/3 through XI the data gets reflected in WE02 / WE05, and is similar to when a manual entry is done the transaction WPUK. But the difference is , when manual idoc generation is done, it is updating correct data in database, but when same data is posted from XI, it is updating data base with in correct data!
what I cant get to understand is in both the cases, IDOC is posted, and same data is there in the DATA records, but database is getting upated with diff data.
Also , when I am putting a break point on the inbound function module IDOC_INPUT_POS_SALES_ACCOUNT, it is not hitting the break-point but idoc gets generated successfully with status records like
    53 Application Document posted
    62 Idoc Passed to application
64 Idoc ready to be transferred to application
    50 Idoc added.
Also , i want to know, wether these messeges come step by step or randomly, because, why is the messege 62, before messege 64.
Lastly when I am taking the same IDOC and trying the same in WE19, then it hits the break-point function module IDOC_INPUT_POS_SALES_ACCOUNT successfully.
    Experts, comments pls.!
    Regards,
    Arnab.

    Hi,
You are supposed to read the ststus messages from bottom to top. So the actual sequence is:
    50 Idoc added.
64 Idoc ready to be transferred to application
    62 Idoc Passed to application
    53 Application Document posted
    Which is correct.
And it is correct that the system bypasses any breakpoint in the background mode. So when the IDoc is coming from XI the posting FM IDOC_INPUT_POS_SALES_ACCOUNT is called in background and so the breakpoint is not called.
Only way to debug the problem is via transaction WE19 in Debug mode.

  • AMIS releases set of JHeadstart Application Generator Extensions

Now you can have JHeadstart generate:
    - radiobuttons (horizontal, vertical, grid-style)
    - stacked regions and side-by-side regions
    - JavaScript event code
    - different prompts and displayTypes for Find, Table and Formpages
    - Bubble help (balloon help)
    - NLS enabled hint-text
    - CSS styles per item, region or group
    - LOVs that diplay and return more than one value
    - a lot more than this
through the JAG Extensions just published by AMIS. See for all details, examples, instructions and the necessary software: http://technology.amis.nl/blog/index.php?p=225.
    Note:
    - it is for JHeadstart 10g (9.0.5.x) (not for ADF JHeadstart and not for JHeadstart 9i (9.0.4.x)
    - it only affects JSP generation (not UIX)
    - it is a consolidation of our JHeadstart Cookbook's recipes
    - it is free (and not supported)
    - just as manual post-generation changes are not covered by a migration to ADF JHeadstart, these generated extensions are (probably) not migrated. We may provide a migration facility of some sort to help you migrate the AMIS JAG Extensions.
We hope you will like this package. We would appreciate it, if you would let us know what you think!
