Manual export mpeg-2

how can i manually export fcp video as mpeg-2 and dd without using compressor and batch monitor? compressor consistently crashes during export and encoding and is useless.

Daniel
I'm having nightmares using Compressor the very first time, and am looking for any solution.I've posted my problem to the Compressor forum, but no response yet.At this stage, after 3 days of wasted time, and in sheer desperation I'd be interested in any method by which I might avoid Compressor.I won't email you direct unless you say OK.
Regards. Robert.
you actually CAN and SHOULD export MPEG
directly from FCP through Quicktime, with no
workarounds, no reference movies, no Compressor.

  • Can't export MPEG-2 with alpha matte

Can't export an .mpeg 2 with an alpha from after effects using media encoder. Is there a way to do this? The editor I am working with only accepts MPEG 2 for his lower thirds.
Unfortunately I do not have a choice of formats and have to export MPEG 2 with an alpha. Easy enough with QuickTime and .Avi but have not seen an option with MPEG 2 in either after effects or encoder.

    No prob's
    1. Ensure that compressor is installed on your system.
    2. Export the sequence as a Quicktime movie using sequence settings.
    3. Launch compressor and bring your exported sequnce in, now you can apply one of the presets and, over time, read the manual and understand all of the subtleties of compression.

  • Manual Export to Text files

    Hi all,
I have done the logic to manually export oracle data to text files through java classes. but when we tried to execute the script in test server, there were some column values missed out.
I have used the very basic procedure.
"SELECT * FROM table Name". and writing the records to a text file using file writer.
Can anyone make it clear what could be the reason for the missing records?
    Thanks in advance.

No, I have not used Spool. Just writing to the text file using file writer. missed records are no the last one. some values in the middle.
    for example (delimited coulmn values)
    fname|lname|ssn|age|gender|country|zip
    aaa|bbb|123|24||india|12345
gender cant be null, but i am getting empty record value for gender in text file.

  • Lose sound when exporting MPEG with QuickTime to iPod format

I paid the $30 to be upgrade to QuickTime Pro in the hopes that I would be able to export MPEGs from my digital camera for viewing in iPods. The video comes out fine but there is no sound. Any suggestions regarding how to get the sound to export too?

    Thanks; the discussion is helpful.
When I downloaded the MPEG Streamclip software from http://www.squared5.com/; the conversion process was agonizingly slow. As an example, a single 6 minute Quicktime movie took hours to convert. After it was converted, then it not was recognizable by iTunes. So, MPEG Streamclip has not worked for me.
This seems like such a straightforward process that Apple would support. Basically, you can create iPhoto albums that synchronize with iPods; however you CAN NOT create Slideshows that synchronize with iPods. This is so frustrating since the slideshows have much more functionality and presumably would be what most people would find most useful. The process to get a slideshow to the iPod requires you to go through Quicktime and then Quicktime to ipod; this process only occassionally seems to work.
Anyway, Quicktime Pro, the $30 application, seems to sometimes work and sometimes not work for conversion of Quicktime files to iPods. I tried using non AAC protected audio files for the iPhoto slideshow sound and the conversion from Quicktime to iPod worked. In other cases, the conversion from Quicktime Pro to iPod did not work. I am at a loss to explain consistently what is happening when you use Quicktime to export to the iPod. When I open the Quicktime movie file the option to Export to iPod is grayed out. However, when I open the Quicktime application the option is black and available.

  • Compressor 3 no audio when export mpeg 2 ts

I imported a .mov files to compressor 3, but there are no audio when I export Mpeg 2 TS(by default setting)...
    (1) I can hear audio on preview
    (2) export no matter extentions m2t or mpg , no audio.....

the mpeg2 files mux (mix) the audio & video together in one stream.
To work with the files in FCP, you must demux them. The application MPEG Streamclip can do this for you. Google it, it's free.

  • What is the advantage of exporting mpeg-dvd vs mpeg for dvd if mpeg does not need to transcode audio

What is the advantage of exporting mpeg-dvd vs mpeg for dvd if mpeg does not need to transcode audio and also burns to dvd?

The MPEG2-DVD preset also produces a DVD spec-legal file.  If you use the generic MPEG2 preset, you can too easily create an out-of-spec file that will have to be re-transcoded by En.

  • Adobe Design Premium exporting MPEG II

I am working on a client PC.  They have adobe design premium cs5.5 (a version of the CS package I am not familiar with).
it is running on windows 7 64 bit professional.
They want to export MPEG II (for DVD) and H264 versions of files from a quicktime LT master.
I am seem to have very limited export setting available within media encoder, and no MPEG II.  Any suggestions on whether this is a set up problem, a legacy codec not included in adobe design premium 5.5 or some other problem which I have not thought of?

Design Premium products have limited version of AME that doesn't support many format.  For 5.5, you need to have Premiere Pro, Production Premium or Master Collection to get access to full export options including MPEG II.  Since those products no longer are available for sale, your client can subscribe to Creative Cloud Complete 2014 (or Premiere Pro CC 2014) which gives them latest AME that allows MPEG II encoding.  https://creative.adobe.com/plans

  • Export MPEG Preview, I-frame codec

I'm using Premiere Pro CS6 with a Creative Cloud subscription. I've set up a project to match the MPG settings of my NEX5N camera, IE MPEG I-Frame at 1440x1080, 25P. If I set up an export by "matching sequence settings", those same settings show up in the export, though they're grayed out and can't be modified. This gives me great speed for exporting, since everything stays native.
I'd like to set up a similar export, but at 720P settings for the web. However, I can't find MPEG Preview as one of the export settings, even though it pops up when I match the sequence settings. How can I find this export setting? I'm on a Macbook Air with Mountain Lion, by the way. Thanks!

Dont use Match Sequenc Settings it gives you a preview codec which you do not want.
Best is to use a preset or set everything manually.
    Look under H.264 for a 720p25 preset.

  • Export mpeg-2 (m2v)

I am trying to export final cut pro movie in mpeg-2 (m2v), but when i do this, i receive and error message saying : DVD Studio Pro must be serialized first in order to run Quicktime MPEG Encoder...
I am running the Final cut Studio suite...
Whatever the program i use to try to export a movie in m2v, i receive the same message....
    Thanks

In a pinch and frankly I think to use a faster and equal or better MPEG-2 encoder you can use Toast 7.
Set Toast preferences for "converted items" to "never" purge them - vs. at closing or success or whatever the default is now.
Make a DVD layout with whatever name (if not named it is "My DVD" , good enough) and whatever MPEG-2 bitrate you want and motion detection quality on the "more" button popup.
Select "make a disk image" - in which case it doesn't care if the image is 50GB in size (I have batch processed 90GB of clips at once over a day and a half)
Let it encode. Go to the Roxio Coverted Items directory and the source M2V and AC3 files are there.

  • Exporting Mpeg-1

I have a 250MB movie file that is an MPEG-1. I've tried exporting it to MPEG-4 but I get an error, and when I export it to various other formats there is no audio, just video. Is this because the a/v tracks are muxed; is there anyway I can export this to a smaller video format ?

    MPEG Streamclip.
Free. Use it to convert to QuickTime formats.

  • Exported MPEG file to iPod, but there is no sound...

I purchased Quicktime Pro and read all the information on how to export a video file so that it plays on my iPod. I waited the 8-10 or so hours for it to export, and when I tried to play it back there was no sound for that file.
    HOW CAN I FIX THAT???

QuickTime Pro doesn't export audio from muxed track files. You found that out.
You'll need other software to either export your MPEG-1 file to iPod specs or to QuickTime formats.
Check in the iPod forums. You'll find lots of Windows software discussed.

  • Manual export declaration

    Hi,
Wondering if its possible to create a complete manual declaration out of GTS without any reference document created in SAP.
Like entering tarriff code, material numbers and all neccessary details manually within GTS and create an IDOC from there?
    regards
    sabby

    Hi Sabby,
Currently it is not possible to manually create an export declaration which will also have the "Control" tab available since that information is populated from the Customs Document in the Compliance module.
However, it is still possible to do what you want.  In the feeder system, you need only create an "LO" delivery type (delivery without reference to sales order).  Configure that delivery type in the GTS plug-in to send transaction and data into GTS to create a customs document.  This also means that materials will need to be maintained in the feeder system.  Use the "NLAG" material type (non-revenue).
This method also helps to make the record-keeping compliant with US export laws.
I realize this is several months after you originally asked the question so I hope this response helps someone.
    Cheers !

  • Exporting MPEG IMX

I have a client requirement and seems that it is becoming more and more popular. They ask for dvd mpeg IMX export with these specificaions:
    IMX30 Standard Definition:
Video File File: IMX30 QuickTime MOV or OP1a MXF wrapped
    File Extension: .mov or .mxf
    File Chroma Encoding: 4:2:2
    Encoding Bitrate: 30Mbit/sec
    Encoding GOP: I frame only
    MPEG Encoding Type: Interlaced TFF
    Video Standard: PAL
Levels: Standard Video Levels BT.601 (16-235. Not
    RGB 0-255)
Aspect Ratio: 16/9 or 4/3 per destination requirements
    Frame Size: 720(H) x 576(V) pixels (PAL), 720 x 480
    (NTSC)3
Frame Rate: 25.00 fps (PAL), 29.97 (NTSC)
Picture Scan Type: Interlaced TFF or Progressive
Duration: As specified at upload time mm:ss:ff1
I know I can export  .MXF via MXF OP1a but I can't see any of the parameters that I can edit. Are the default parameters standard like the requirements above? Or do I have to bring my material out to encode this? Thanks.

IMX is by definition an I-frame only Rec.601 format, so the only parameter you need to worry about is the aspect ratio.
