Go to iTunes.com/download and simply download then install the current version.

Windows 10 upgrade from 7 Pro: No internet and cannot manually install drivers for adapters...

PC: HP Proboook 4510SPrevious OS: Windows 7 Pro 32-bitNew OS: Windows 10 Pro 32 bit Issue: I upgraded to windows 10 from 7 pro and some of my internal devices dont have drivers. I could fix this issue quickly if two of them were not my ethernet card and wireless adapter. Right now I only have 2 adapters listed under network adapters and both are virtual VM ethernet cards. Neither of these can establish a connection through a router I know is working on other laptops in my house. The error I get is that the IP address cannot be resolved. The odd part is that when I look at the details for the VM ethernet cards it shows a good DHCP IP and subnet....TX/RX is no good though as it only shows sending packets and not recieving them. I tried to manually install the windows 7 drivers from a USB stick. I got them off of HP's website. I installed them but it did nothing. However, I was having no luck and restarted and they momentarily showed up in the adapters list (under network settings in control panel). Then as soon as I tried to enable them they went away and I still have no internet. Not sure what is going on or what to do. If I cannot install the HP drivers and get them to work, and I cannot connect to the internet to let windows fix the problem I seem to be stuck.. Please Help.

Hello , I understand that your secondary DVD drive is not recognizable as an optical device on your desktop computer after upgrading to Windows 10. I would be happy to assist you in this matter! When you examine the installed drives in the BIOS, does the 2nd DVD drive appear? What brand are the two DVD drives? What is the product number for your computer? Below is a is an HP Support document that will demonstrate how to find your computer's product number.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on HP PCs - Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Windows 10, 8). This should help to install any possible updates required to run the secondary DVD drive. Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. TS1702 i can't open all apps that i manually installed. when i try to open one, it asks me to log in to my apple account and when i do it, it says that my apple id or password is incorrect. does anyone can help me to fix this problem?

i upgrade my 3gs to os 6.1 but starting then all my manually installed apps does work and every time I open them, it asks me to log in to my apple account but responds that my password is incorrect. I tried to change my password but i never received the confirmation email. Does anyone know how to fix this?

iChat (it would help to know which version) can accept Apple IDs as valid AIM Screen Names.
However if you have iChat 5 or earlier you cannot use ones ending in @me.com or @icloud.com issued by iCloud. (they can be used in iChat 6 or Messages as these versions make a double login to AIM and Apple to allow the use of the password).
In addition if you are using an Apple ID for an AIM Screen Name the password still needs to keep to the 16 character limit that AIM has.
AN @mac.com name can be used on any version of iChat (Until the 30th June 2014)
As it does not need a double check with Apple you can use it to log in to the AIM Web pages
Login here with an AIM Name registered at AIM or and @mac.com name and see if you get any suspended account messages.
Sometimes account can be suspended. Usually because something has triggered the "Unusual Activity" item.
About a year ago many @mac.com users that travelled out of their own country found themselves suspended when they got home.
If the Name checks out of if an Apple ID the password in known to be 16 characters or Less then do this:-
In Lion upwards open a Finder Window and use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears in the menu list.
Navigate to Preferences.
(If you have version earlier than Lion the just navigate to ~/Library/Preferences (that's the Library in you Home - Little House icon - folder)
Fnd com.apple.ichat.aim.plist (even if you are using Messages)
Drag the file to the Trash and Restart the app.

LG Ally - Apps crashing after install of Upgrade Utility for Ally

I was pushed down the "upgrade utlitly for Ally" after that an OS upgrade was pushed down but never successfully installed. I don't want to do a hard reset as I don't know if the system will just push down the utility again.
I have had nothing but problems after OS upgrades and have had to do multiple hard resets and have not had the phone for even a year.

@beverlyann76 Thanks for posting. I can certainly understand the troubles that you are having downloading the Upgrade Utility App for Ally. I did do some research on this and it seems the best way for the app to install successfully is to do a manual install. You can install the app here. Hope this helps. Thanks.

If you are updating you only need to install the latest version of Firefox (15.0.1, but 16 is being released tomorrow). Once you are updated though, you should be able to use the internal updater, it does just as good of a job.

Manual install of ACR 5.6?

Installed the 5.6 beta yesterday and ran into a number of issues. Tried to revert to an earlier version (ACR 5.5) via a manual install and this seems to work properly. I would now like to try to reinstall 5.6, however, the installer will not let me do so -- it thinks I still have 5.6 installed. Is there a way to get past this or at least to do a manual install of 5.6? Can someone provide a link to the 8bi files? I am a 7D owner and REALLY need this support.

If you've traced thru the directories in the download and found the specific file (it's a file, not a folder), rename it as I specified, and place it into that folder in place of the 8bi file that's already there, then I'm not sure what else I can do to help you. The file should end up being renamed to the same name as the file that's already there: "Camera Raw.8bi", I believe. BTW, there are two folders to choose from. One is for the 64-bit version of Photoshop, the other is for the 32-bit version. With the 32-bit version, you will find that set of directories in the "Program Files (x86)" directory. The 64-bit version is in the "Program Files" directory. The subdirectories should be the same. You have to be really careful to rename and place the 32-bit version of that file into the 32-bit (...x86) directory, and the 64-bit version renamed into the 64-bit directory. If I recall, the directories from which you are copying these files are clearly marked as 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but I can't remember the exact names.
I know this sounds really convoluted, and frankly, it is. I'm pretty amazed that Adobe built such an inflexible update mechanism that has no provisions for backing out an upgrade. This is WAY more trouble than anyone should have to go thru, even for a beta version. Best of luck.

How can I manually install software from recovery partition?

I'm looking for information about how install preinstalled software after OS upgrade.
As far as I can see, it is done through 3 different locations:
Recovery partition (D: drive)
SMINST Folder (located in %Windows%)
hp Folder (invisible folder in C
First step is to identify the machine (brand/model) to allow installation.
Then, scripts will install packages.
It should the be possible to manually install the software from the recovery partition.
As far as this software is bought with the computer (so part of the price) and there is no way of getting the original installers from the support website (only updates available), it would be "fair" to be able to perform a manual install...
Is there anyone with this knowledge?

I cannot believe no one replied to you. I am having the same problem. I can print but not scan thru the MFNP feature. I'm not sure how/why it is working for printing. I setup the print driver on all my client laptops to my wifi router/access-point such that its SNMP-enabled on channel 1. The MNFP port said 161 on the printer when it was working. Not sure these two protocols are the same... SNMP and MNFP. I think the latter is Canon's own protocol...not sure how to get it to work with my network. I have a Netgear RV6300 access point connected via wired ethernet to the cable modem which is by Arris (one of those all-in one routers/switch/WAP -- but I'm using the Netgear as my WAP for my WLAN, although the printer gets a DHCP assigned IP on the main router - 10.0.0.9) At one point I had it set up as static IP 10.0.0.200. Maybe I will switch back to that...don't know if it will fix scanning though.

Manually Install Patch Agent??

We recently purchased Zenworks Patch Management. However, right before
purchasing ZCM Patch Mgmt, we upgraded to ZCM 11. The ZCM 11 Agent
components for patch management automatically installed to ZCM 11 clients,
but not to version 10 clients. My guess is that it might have something to
do with the fact that the MSIs for 10.3.1 are now renamed as "superceded"
MSIs.
I had a friend build me an "unconfigured" ZCM agent package from his 10.3.1
system (he has ZCM Patch Management), and that successfully installs on a
freshly imaged machine and Zenworks Patch Management seems to be working.
However, that doesn't help me with the rest of my 10.3.1 machines that I
don't wish to reimage right now.
If you're asking: Why don't I upgrade my clients to the ZCM 11 Agent? I'll
tell you my answer: IT'S WAY TOO SLOW!! Until they iron out a few issues,
we're going to hang with the 10.3.1 agent.
So, my question is: Is there anyway to take the MSIs that are renamed as
"superceded" and manually install them to a workstation to get ZCM Patch
Management working on my existing 10.3.1 clients? I tried to simply install
the MSIs, but it doesn't seem to show up as an installed option on the ZCM
Agent properties page.

JRE Manual Install for FF4.

I just upgraded from FF 3.6 to 4 and I am having issue with JRE. With a manual install of a plugin there is normally a plugins folder, however with the newest version of your browser, I have yet to find the equivalent. I am running Fedora 14 with kernel 2.6.35.12-88 on the Gnome and KDE desktop environments. I have downloaded the self-extracting rpm.bin file and have no idea where to put it after making the file. I have looked online for several different solutions, but no one has anything of use. I mean there's the pluginreg.dat file that I could try editing, but I am not familiar enough with it enough to mess with it. So I'd rather wait. So the file is currently sitting in my home folder. Could you please help?

I managed to get the agents installed on some solaris 10 zones by doing the following: -
copied the relavant zip file from
:/var/opt/sun/xvm/images/agent
unzipped the file and then shared it.
Then mounted the shares on a remote host and "installed" from the share.
Next from /opt/SUNWxvmoc/bin
agent configure -x agenthostname -u user -p passwordfile (where the root user was used and the password file was created just for this install)

After Clean Instal Tiger, upgrading to 10.4.7. many errors appeared

I wiped my boot drive, installed tiger, upgraded combo 10.4.7. Created anount account user. Things were spiffy for a moment until I mounted my firewire drives and some dmg file. BLAM! CRASH! MAYDAY MAYDAY! RUN FOR COVER into the apple forum! I've search forums for several problems and was unable to find solution but did on my own.
Errors:
Media ejectables: DMG, firewire drives, cd, dvd would not appear (but would on other users) I tried permission fix, disconnecting, whatever.
Internal audio wasn't working. Volume control was dissabled, and volume icon dissappeared from menubar after clicking it.
Worse of all: My icons on my sidebar were missing, desktop icons were randomly missing. I did comand J on finder and select show icon and show preview. That worked until log out, log in. Icons were switched around to the wrong ones, I thought I was on mars.
What else, well didn't get around much since I tried to deal with one problem at a time - it became overwhelming.
Before erasing the drive and reinstalling for another try, I decided to trash all my contents in my prefs folder in my home/personal directory (didn't empty trash). Logged out and back in. I'm back in business!
Those of you may want to try that and may have to re-adjust all your settings, serials, etc. Or you could drag some prefs back to folder to to find culprit or just the ones you really need. When happy with everything... Take out the garbage!

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

Until the next version of Lightroom is released, you need to use the DNG Converter version 8.7RC to convert your RAW photos to DNG and then import the DNGs into Lightroom.

How can I do a manual install of ACR 7.4 in 64-bit Win 7 PSE 11?

I found detailed instructions on this forum that I think were for 32-bit Win 7 but I'm hoping 64-bit install is different since I followed them and still no success. I know that 8.1 is supposed to be able to be manually installed and that would be ok too but I really only need to go from 7.1 to 7.4 and the update function is greyed out. I started with a trial version on that machine so maybe that has something to do with it? It is registered and activated. Tried to uninstall/re-install and still no luck(didn't check the "de-activate" though so maybe I need to try again and choose this?
Not afraid to try a manual install if it is in fact different.

I have the PSE 11 on a Mac platform also and was able to update it no problem...can't get the Win 7 to work for the life of me.

There is one more thing you should install and those are the camera raw profiles for 8.1
Download the 8.1 DNG Converter and run the installer to install the camera raw profiles.
(those profiles would normally be installed if the updater in your pse 11 was working)

Because the file is over 5 GBs. If your internet service is slow then it can take a long time - several hours.
