Manual Installation File

Where can I download a manual installation file for Player
for IE7? The auto installation is not working.

I already read this TechNote. It does not answer the
question, which was, where can I download the executable
installation file? This note points me to the installer. I already
know about the installer, and it is a problem for a particular
computer.
Just to be clear, can someone point me to a link for the
executable installation file, NOT the installer? It seemed that my
original post was clear, but apparently it was not. Sorry.

  • Manual installation of SO8

    Hello,
what do I have to do in order to manually install SO8, because Debian (as other Linux distributions) does not use the RedHat package manager for distributing packages. When I unpack the RPMs, is there a specific order to install them and what scripts have to be executed and what configuration files needs tempering?
Also, is there a documentation about to install SO8 <i>silently</i>, meaning without user interaction into a specifc location and with a particular set of components? Sort of SO7's response files?
    Regards,

The Manual installation document for 3.0.9 for NT and Unix is available at OTN:
    NT http://technet.oracle.com/products/iportal/htdocs/3_0_9_maninst_htm/nt/maninnt.htm
    UNIX http://technet.oracle.com/products/iportal/htdocs/3_0_9_maninst_htm/unix/maninux.htm
NOTE: The manual installation instructions available in the Configuration guide for 3.0.9 is pretty old and should not be followed.

  • Manual Installation of SequeLink

I was having some problems setting up an ODBC Socket
connection in the ColdFusion Administrator page, and from what I
read online it seemed to be a problem with the ColdFusion MX ODBC
Services (SequeLink). I found a page describing how to reinstall
    the services manually at
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19135&sliceId=2.
I was able to uninstall without problems, but when I followed the
instructions for installing the services manually I ran into a
problem. I'm using ColdFusion MX 7 but when I installed the
services it installed the ColdFusion MX 6 services (named
"ColdFusion MX Agent/Server Service" instead of "ColdFusion MX 7
Agent/Server Service"). Also, the services that it installed points
    to
    cf_root\CFusionMX7\db\slserver52, which doesn't exist
because it should be slserver54. So, of course, when I try to start
the services they error with a message about the path not existing.
Any ideas on what could be causing this and how it can be
fixed? Can I download an updated version of the SequeLink
    installation file?
    Thanks for the help!

I ended up just reinstalling ColdFusion MX 7.

  • Cannot install Office 2013 - Seup cannot find or validate an installation file

I downloaded the trial version of Office 2013 to evaluate it, but was unable to install it because I kept getting the following error...
Setup cannot find or validate an installation file.  Please try reinstalling office from your installation source or if you installed from a downloaded  package, please re-download and reinstall.  If you continue to haVe problems
contact Microsoft or your system administrator.
I tried re-downloading the program - again I was met with the same problem.  I tried running the setup file as administrator - problem remained.  I tried copying the program to the hard drive and running it from there as the administrator - problem
remained.  I downloaded Microsoft  fixit tool for problem installations and ran that - that was no use either.  The error message just kept coming back again.
I am assuming the setup file is corrupted in some way but seem unable to get an alternative setup file that will actually INSTALL.  Or is there something so blatantly obvious going on that I'm missing it?
    Help please!

I deployed Office 2k13 to client machine via SCCM 2012 R2. It did that flawlessly but I got the same error after trying to uninstall Office 2k13.
    setup.exe /uninstall ProPlus /config .\ProPlus.ww\Uninstall.xml
    Uninstall.xml file:
    <Configuration Product=”ProPlus”>
    <Display Level=”basic” CompletionNotice=”yes” SuppressModal=”yes” AcceptEula=”yes” />
    </Configuration>
I can uninstall Office 2k13 manually by running setup.exe and following wizard but it is not automatic process so it sucks.
I've responded in your other thread:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/fd735611-95bf-46f6-8add-2229a52e3e93/i-can-not-uninstall-office-2013-from-command-line?forum=officeitpro
Hi, your command-line is not valid - you are using a "relative" path for the <config.xml> and that is not supported..
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178956(v=office.15).aspx#BKMK_config
Note: You must use a fully qualified path. Setup does not recognize relative paths with /config.
Instead, I suggest that you copy your "Uninstall.xml" file to the same folder where setup.exe exists, then, adjust your command-line like this:
    setup /uninstall ProPlus /config Uninstall.xml

  • Failed to download required installation files.

This is embarrassing for Java.  How many millions of people get this message every time we get a security update?
If you search Oracle for help = zero.
    Please don't answer this post.

The default download on java.com is the 'online' installer, where the initial download is a very small binary, that when run downloads the required installation files. I suspect that some AV software, proxy, firewall, router or something, between the installer binary and the download servers is impeding/blocking the download of the files.
The general workaround for this is to download the offline installer, which contains all the necessary files to complete the install. The end result of installing the online and offline is the same, only the install mechanism differs.
    Offline install location on java.com:

  • ITunes 6.0.1 for XP wont install, says installation file is corrupt -

Is this the same error as other people have been getting?
It says Installation file is corrupt, download a fresh copy and try again.
    Same error.
This is happening on my friends windows XP machine, it happened on my dads,(problem solved, dont know how??? just d/l it and it worked when i was trying to fix it before i did anything) and on a work mates.
Today, because of this, he formatted his pc, and put everything back on. He tried to install iTunes as soon as he possibly could, no luck. deleted any trace it left, and installed SP 2 etc all the updates. Still no luck. Exact same error.

    hi Lee!
It says Installation file is corrupt, download a fresh copy and try again.
hmmm. this has been known to be caused by an nvidia firewall:
    http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=-1&messageID=813136
... but if that doesn't seem to be relevant, you could also try downloading from the "QT + itunes" site:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
... or using a different browser for the download.
if no joy with that, we could also try cutting the Gordian knot:

    keep us posted.

  • Can I create a copy of Pages '09 on iMac to use a installable file on MacBook?

So, I don't like the new versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote and have been using the '09 version.  I have been right clicking and opening files with the '09 version.  I tried setting '09 as default but that would not stick, default would slip back to '13.  So I had the idea of deleting the '13 version from applications so the default would revert to '09.  This worked for Numbers and Keynote but not with Pages.  When I tried to open Pages ('09 version, '13 is now deleted) it just hangs.  So I sent Pages '09 to trash as well and reinstall Pages from the App store.  After install only Pages '13 is available and not '09.  So now I have no version of '09 at all.  Strange how it works with the other iWork apps and not Pages.
I have Pages '09 and '13 on the iMac and am thinking I could create an installation file on the iMac that I could reinstall on the MacBook.    Can anyone instruct me how to do this?
Or give other suggests how I can find a source to download Pages '09 (I already searched the web)?
    Many thanks in advance.

I can't install ADE on my PC, because as I try to open it a message of error appears to me: The application will be closed. I've already try with different browsers and also with the manual installation, but nothing..

    1
    Close all iWork applications
    2
Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download
    3
    empty the trash
    4
shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired
    5
Reinstall Keynote by logging into the Mac App Store using download / install

  • How can I copy the dmg installer file to a thumbdrive?

So we purchased a new iMac. The geniuses at the apple store installed Mountain Lion using their installation software. I want a backup copy of the installation files.
I was able to use unix/terminal to boot and display the boot disk and begin the installation process, which I intended to save to an external hard drive and copy the dmg file to a thumbdrive BEFORE the computer automatically restarted and deleted it. I even opened a microsoft word document thinking that without saving it would halt the restart process, but no. The computer restarted automatically without giving me the opportunity to copy the dmg file.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a unix command to halt the restart?
    Thanks.

What I did when I got a new Macbook Pro was to get a 16GB USB Thumb Drive (or was it 32GB) and used SuperDuper to clone the boot disk to the USB Thumb Drive.  (Carbon Copy Cloner could also be used).
Now I have a bootable copy of my Macbook Pro while it was young and uncluttered with all my junk.  The clone  has all my extra apps, such as iPhoto, Garageband, iMove, etc... that is not part of the Mac OS X distribution, and you only get when buying a new Mac.
When doing an upgrade, I download the new version (Lion, Mountain Lion, future "Cat"), and they quit the installer before it does anything.  Now looking in Applications, there is an "Install OS X Lion", or "Install OS X Mountain Lion", etc...  I made a copy of that app on a USB Thumb Drive or DVD.  There have also been instructions on the web about how to make this into a bootable DVD or Thumb Drive.  I have not bothered with that, as I have my above mentioned original clone I can boot from, and there is always the recovery partition I can boot from as well.
If you wish to have the Mac boot back into the initial setup mode, you can remove the following file and reboot:
    rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
