Manual Metrics Not Available? Possibly because of a new universe?

I'm a system administrator trying to help troubleshoot the availability of some metrics in our performance management environment. I have a limited understanding of universes and the corresponding metrics but below is what I've been able to gather from some of our end users and programmers. I'm hoping that someone can help....
During the initial configuration of the system we added some manual metrics that were used to create some dashboards. We currently can see the dashboards including the metrics, but cannot edit the metrics or see the metrics to edit when clicking into the dashboard manager -- metrics tab. Since the initial creation of the manual metrics that aren't available to edit we had a consultant do some work in which he created a universe. I think that this may have something to do with our inability to see any of the previously created metrics, but I'm not sure. We can see all of the metrics associated with the universe that was created by the consultant, but cannot see any of the metrics that we created previously although the values can still be seen on the previously created dashboards. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Bill

first off hopefully you can still see the option to create new manual metrics? if thats the case then chances are it not some wierd security issue. To create manual metrics you need a "folder" to put them in - so when the system was first set up someone would have added a simple universe and built the metrics in that.When your consultant came in they would have build a new or extended the old universe and possibly either removed the old one or renamed the folder or something along those lines...You could have a look in System Setup, Tools, Check Itegrity and have a look at metrics - may give some indication of what the problem is?

Make slideshow in iDVD6: 'manual' option not avail. in 'slide duration'

In iDVD6, the 'manual' option is not available (it's "greyed out") when I look to choose 'manual' in the "slide duration" pull-down menu. I CAN (if I wanted to) choose "1" to "10" seconds, or even "fit audio," but for some reason the software is not allowing me to choose "manual." Any hints?

The manual option is available only if you don't have a sound track in your slideshow. If you have a sound track, remove it and the manual option will not be greyed out anymore.

How to open Photomerge Panorama in PSE 12. The option is not available when I choose File/New.

In PSE 12 (iOS) I can't find "Photomerge Panorama". The tutorial says it should be available in the menu File/New. Yet it isn't.

It's now under the Enhance menu in the Expert mode in the pse 12 editor.
Edit>Photomerge in the pse 12 organizer.

Notes is crashing because of a 'New note' window, help?

When I open the Notes app, it opens together with another small window that says 'New note' where you can write a new note. But whenever I try to close the small window, the entire app crashes. If I ignore the small window, the app works fine, until I try to quit the app, then it crashes. What should I do? This is so annoying!
I have tried taking it off iCloud and the sync-list and all that. It still doesn't work.

Please post a screenshot showing what you mean. To take a screenshot, press the key combination shift-command-4. The cursor changes to a crosshair. Select the part of the display you want to show, then click. Be careful not to include any private information. An image file will appear on your Desktop. Start a reply to this message. Final Cut Pro 7 not available yet in stores in New York City

Any idea when I can walk into a store and buy an upgrade to Final Cut Pro 7.

If the past is any indicator, physical Apple Stores tend to have FCS in-stock about 4 business days after the announcement. When FCS upgrades were announced the Sun prior to NAB, most of the NYC-area Apple Stores tended to have boxes in stock that Thursday.
Of course, a BIG hassle was many stores only having the full retail (non-upgrade) box in stock. I was lucky last time (2 years ago) to be able to pick up the FCS2 upgrade at the Roosevelt Field Mall Apple Store (of all places), after the (24-hour) 5th Ave store only had the retail boxes.
In other words, as already advised, call before you head out...

Is it possible to create a new Universe that connects to this database?

I know that BO universes can be linked to Sybase, Access, Oracle databases, etc. but i don't know if it is possible to create a universe with a connection to a Firebird database .
Is it possible? In Universe Designer I try to create a new connection using the Connection Wizard, then I press Next and then it displays a list of databases nodes, but I can't find an option for Firebird. Which option should I select? Can I select Generic ODBC datasource?
Has someone else used Firebird for his/her universes?

Hi,
I would like to give you a workaround for your problem.
If you have BO Server installed on your machine then do the following
-> Go to 'Central Configuration Mangager(CCM)'
-> Right Click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)' and click 'STOP' then
-> Double click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)'
-> Go to 'Configuration' Tab
-> Click 'SPECIFY' on 'CMS System Database Configuration' button then
-> Select any one of the 3 options(depending on ur requirement) and connect to ur Database (Firebird) by giving the credentials of ur database.
-> After doing all the necessary things Restart the SIA by clicking the buttion START on CCM and now check if u r getting Firebird database while creating a new connection.
This is just a workaround. I hope this would b helpful to you. Please try this and see if its useful to you.

Link to content area - portlet not available

I have a link to a content area in that I open from another application. Occassionally, I get a "portlet not available" message. Is this related to navigating directly to the document repository? It works most of the time.
So 3 questions:
Is it acceptable to navigate directly to the content area? (My users then log on and store documents)
Am I getting the "portlet not available" message because of navigating to the content area this way?
Is there another reason I'm getting this message?

Unfortunately, the only way to do this would be to not show the sub-folder region and add URL items in another region that link to the folder page in question.

Va42 item billing plan, incompletion log,T185- error "requested func FEBA not available here"
We have created new entries in the T185 table to enable the imcompletion log to go to the billing plan tab in the sales contract. However, when I click on the green back arrow, I get the above error.
Can someone give me an idea of the cause of the error and if there is a how-to manual on creating new screens, new flow control, and debugging methods for the incompletion log?
I am creating incompletion log entries for the billing plan in the sales contract at the item level. We have modified the special rules table RV45A_UV to add the additional check fields.
Can I add additional check tables to the TVUVF table?

Because the studio that owns the rights to the film doesn't want to put it on iTunes, or may not have liked the terms of Apple doing so.

That error message can be misleading. It means, that iPhoto on your Mac is not associated with your Apple ID.
Either you did not set up your Mac using the same Apple ID - did someone help with your setup and use a different ID? Perhaps a family member? Or did you let someone borrow your installer disks?
Or did you not yet "Accept" iPhoto and other iLife apps to your Apple ID? Check the "Purchased" tab of the App Store, if any applications are waiting to be accepted. If you see "Accept" buttons, press them.
You may be unable to "Accept" now, if you missed the update to iphoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. You could try to buy iPhoto, however. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put it back,if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.

Hello this is happening to us also (minus the Bluetooth speaker). We can't figure out what is causing the data usage. I turned off mobile data as soon s I activated the device, and got the message that unless I am connected to WiFi.....(that is exactly what I wanted). We watched Netflix for about three hours, then the alerts started. Like you we have many devices connected and never used over 2GB now all of a sudden we have used it in a matter of hours. My husband called Verizon and got the usual doubting Thomas response. I understand that they don't know my device settings. So over the phone we check all the settings and turned off every possible culprit eating up the data and end the call. By now I have purchased another gig for the month! Assured we are NOT using mobile data, we continue on the IE path to bliss. HA! A few hours later I check the mobile data usage on the Verizon website and that darn thing is still using data. After two more phone calls and two VERY uneventful trips to the local store we were told to take out the sim card. This has stopped the data usage, but it defeats the purpose of having the data plan. I could have just stuck with my Surface. Verizon sent us a new sim card. Its been installed and I have set my homepage to Verizon mobile data usage (just kidding) but I am on that site a lot. I am surprised at the number of complaints about this device. When we called the Verizon support acted as though this was the first time they had heard about this. Loved your post, you should write for a living.

how can and where can i remove this flag from?

I am not aware about the GUI table interface through which you can change the flag.
But i guess there is an option
Go to transaction se11 --> write /AIN* in the table name field.
You will find all the table names related to SAP AII. In the search list now available to you, search for the word "Number".
Then you will find all the table names related to number ranges.
Here you can search the table which will be having that flag field. If you find this table,
go into that table and make that entry manually.
Here is what i can suggest you immediately to solve your problem

Error Message: "Skype can not start because the system is not available"

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

This is why the skype was much better than the Microsoft's messenger. Then they bought it, and make it wrong...
I found a solution for this problem, this can happen if my client is not updated. But IT IS!
How does it works? Can we use the **bleep** Skype how we would like to use? Or this time we need to find an other application (like Viber), and using that while they not buying that as well, just because that is better?

No, not at all possible. The device has to be on and it has to be connected to the internet (wifi or cellular connection). Tracking uses internet data, so a device that is off cannot be found remotely.
