Manual Multilevel Controlling in PPM5

Hi Experts,
When defining the multilevel controlling assignment in the Project Management area, we are able to select a PS project and see it in the screen, but the Assign button in it is deactivated so we cannot assign any WBS element to the structure.
What are the criteria to enable the assignment between PS and PPM?
Note: the WBS element has the Planning and Accounting assignment checks enabled.

Neil,
Check what is the Tranfer Type for the selected project type which you have selected to create project.
Based on the transfer type, the Assign Button will be enabled for the project on below actions:
1) Save
2) On release of project
3) On status change "To-Assign"

Hello all.
One more post throughout theme "Accounting Integration - Multilevel Controlling".
At This time it is impossible to adjust manual assigning WBS Elements to cProjects project element.
Current situation: We have achieved automatic creation a PS project from a project in cProjects. In this case we have assignment which was created automatically - It is healthy, it pleases us.
But also we wish to use function of manual assigning WBS Elements to cProjects project element. By the current moment there is following:
- "Select the cProjects project element and the WBS element you want to assign and then choose Assign" - This step is fulfilled, and The WBS element is established as the Account Assignment Element.
- "Save the cProjects project" - on this step there is error - "Recoil: account assignment should be dumped". Result of the given step is assignment cancellation. http://files.mail.ru/0GG4RQ

PS project is created by analogy to automatically created PS project.

I have a similar scenarion where we want to link WBS to cProject apart from automatic creation.
I am getting following error while manually linking WBS to cProject:
"Costing data may not be up to date Display Help
Rollback: Account assignment must be reset "
I have defined costing model and costing variant for ECP.
Can you please tell me what you did for ECP which enabled to solve your problem.

Accounting integration - Multilevel Controlling - cProjects 4.0

Hi,
I am using cProjects 4.0.
a) However in Multilevel controlling i am unable to convert the cProject project to SAP PS project. I am able to do the manual assignment but automatic conversion to PS is not taking place.
I have checked all the IMG settings related to Accntg Integration. .
b) Also while costing it gives an error - Internal error - Costing leads to exception.

Accounts integration - Multilevel controlling

Hello,
I try to adjust the following variant of integration - Multilevel controlling (Structure Element, manual).
I have the following situation:
1. I have the PS Project whith the project structure (project definition and wbs elements)
2. I have the cProject Project with phases and tasks.
3. I have executed step 1 "Assign PS Project" of Account Assignment. (in cProject Project - Accounting -> Account Assignment)
Problem: In step 2 (Assign WBS elements) I did not see PS Structure on the right side of screen.

Satellite L300-147- Manual volume control not working

The manual volume control on the laptop is no longer working. If I try to adjust the volume (on the right the headphone plug-ins)- I just keep scrolling. As a result, I can only watch DVD on a really low volume level. I have adjusted volume control under "control panel" to the maximum level.
Any ideas to fix this please?

Believe me buddy, this is absolutely normal.
I have Satellite L300 too and I can still scroll the volume control although the sound is on lowest level (I can see this in Windows sound properties).
To be honest I didnt have any notebook as yet where the volume control ends on a certain point.

PLM-CPR Multilevel Controlling (Structure Elemen, Automatic) :: WBS

We use Multilevel Controlling (Structure Elemen, Automatic) controlling
method for automatic cProjects project transfer in PS projects. We need
WBS element key (PRPS-POSID) would be transferted from a cProject
field with external number (user field or standard field "Number"
on "General data" tab for cProjects task modifired for external
maintenence - see message 0000082945 2008). We also would like to
transfer not all tasks and phases into WBS elemets. We need to transfer
only some of them.
Are there any ideas for standart functions modifacation?
Ñould anyone please name functional modules used in automatic cProjects
project transfer to PS projects.
Product versions:
SAP cProject 4.0 (SP 0011)
SAP ECC 6.0

Error during multilevel controlling

I am trying to perform a multilevel controlling. After marking flag to transfer I am getting the following error:
"There is no internal order for project xxxxxxxx". The WBS element is also not created. I am using auto mode for multilevel controlling.

Multilevel Controlling in cProjects

Hi,
I am using multilevel controlling, in cprojects -4.0.A project structure is getting replicated in PS for corresponding elements in cProjects.
My doubt is how do we capture the other costs i.e of Material, labour etc.Do i need to create a network and activities in PS, to assign n captur this cost?
Secondly after the costing is done in PS, does it gets replicated or updated in cProjects Project Structure?

One more issue in cprojects;
I am still stuck up problemof Error of 'Cost/Revenue rates not defined for Resources'.
Just go thru the steps, which i have followed n let me know if i hav done it correctly:
1.Intially i hav defined an orgn in PPOCE, where in i have mentioned the Account Assignment details of CO area,Cost Centre etc.
2.I hav assigned a Position to it i.e. Proj Manager, for which i have defined the rates in backend in R/3.
3.After that i have created a BP in employee role.
4.By again going to PPOME i have assigned this BP to the position and hence the orgn which i have created earlier in PPOCE.
5.Finally when i have created a proj in cProjects, i have assigned that orgn in additional data tab page.
6.Going to the Resource tab page, i have selected the role and staffed the employee(created earlier) for that role i.e Proj Manager.The cost for that role can be seen in costing tab page.But when i calculate the cost i am getting an error that Cost/Revenue rates not defined for Resource (along with the Resource name, which i hav created in employee role)
As per my knowledge i have followed all the steps, but still i am unable to solve the error.If u can give me ur personal id, i can even send u the screen shots which will give u a more clearer idea.

Manual wifi control

Hi. Many times while using first-gen iPhone 2.2 I lose my wifi connection in the middle of what I'm doing, like surfing the Store or managing an online todo list. It's very frustrating to be in the middle of a process that requires wifi connectivity only to have the device lose connectivity because someone else thinks you need to be saving battery. Once wifi is lost, getting the device to retrieve it again requires some weight lifting.
There must be a better way. Can we add a setting to the network connectivity to allow a manual control of the wifi? Give me the user control over how I'd like my device to behave.
That'd be neato.

Trust that we are not operating by rumor. I was referring to my own research when I started rolling out wifi in 2001.
I'm not sure who you are implying is non-technical but I hope you mean our teaching faculty rather than myself..
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll address them with comments so that subsequent responders know what I am and am not looking for in terms of functionality:
1. Creating muliple SSID interchanged based on schedule.
This doesn't meet the requirement of exact location awareness and manual toggling. It would also prove confusing to users if SSIDs are appearing/disappearing.
2. Use Cisco Energywise to turn off specific APs at specific times.
Again, time based and not location based. Also, AP deploymenty is not dense/granular enough that signal from one unit correlates to the target geographic area.
3. Faraday cage.
4. Allow instructors access to WCS.
I'm with you, this will not happen. Hence the thought that we have to do the very hard work (scripting, programming touchscreens with controls) to make it foolproof.
Basically, I can envision how this is possible with good location services and a well defined and tuned radio network, mixed with some scripting and API type integration, but I want to know if anyone has done it or knows without a doubt that it has insumountable roudblocks with Cisco's offerings.

Manual fan control for gx600

Hi all.
As of recently I find that my notebook hangs a lot during WoW play and some heavy load.
Inspection turned out that temperatures for 8600GT is at ~72C. Same was on south bridge and CPU.
I have the really bad feeling that south bridge is overheating. I cannot even hold a finger on it for 2seconds.
Well I removed fan and all heating system, cleaned everything, reapplied new thermalpaste, etc etc.
And still have the problem.
The fan seems to turn really slow. Like there are 3 speeds and it only turns at first and second. There is a loud 3rd speed but i really don't notice notebook using it.
Are there some programs, like NHC to work with ms163a and control fanspeed?

Hangs simply. Just hangs. Total lockup. No mouse movement. If music was playing than it starts "zzzzz". (Strangely the "wifi" key works"). Very very rarely encountered a IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD. Don't know if it was hang or just something else.
Since I'm more like a gamer, I can try and describe other strange things, because it can actually prove that temp isn't the issue, but I really can't figure out what is the problem.
Some very interesting examples.
- notebook can hang anytime. During load of windows too. Rare, but happened few times.
- it may be left for whole day with mass effect 2 active, and nothing hapends. same for heroes5, and many other games.
- it will hang if you play WoW for 2 hours max, or he can beat nerves out of you hanging 2 times in 10 minute interval as soon as you open WoW.
- I've tried today to load it for maximum, with ~83C all 3 components. No hangs at all.
The last made me very curious. How come he always hangs in wow, and not other games. Maybe it's in network? Since all offline games don't hang at all, or very very rare. Like once in 5-6 days of play.
Anyway, something struck me and I decided to reroll Video card drivers to a very old 2008 ones. Suprisingly, 2 hours wowing and no hang.
Could it be them? I was using ones from nvidia site for 8600M GT. (Jeez, if the drivers were to blame, I will tear myself apart). Maybe you can point me to new onces specifically for my gx600?
I'll update this topic tomorrow with more info, eight good or bad.

I have unchecked both the "copy music...." and "keep library organised" check boxes as I want to organise my media differently so another application can make better use of it for streaming etc.
Tv shows, films and music are easy but what if anything happens to mobile apps etc, are these still managed by iTunes ???

I couldn't back up my iPod,
Apparent abilities:
Can transfer from hard drive to iPod
Can't transfer from iPod to Hard Drive (without 3rd party software)
The comp. that erased my ipod wasn't even the original comp that had the music (the HD that had the music had to be reformatted and as I said above, the original CD's were stolen).
User-User support = good in simple cases or customization abilities = bad on real software and hardware issues.

How can I manually enter MIDI channel number in Control Surface expert Value Change field?

I am creating a software interface for a multidimensional controller which can transmit many linear values at the same time. I can not use Learn mode because it always sends data from all sources, but I can split them by MIDI channels. I would like to manually enter controlling values into Control Surface expert view.
I seem to be able only to input the message, but not MIDI channel on which it is transmitted.

Stupid me, it's hex... so 80 is Note Off ch 1, 90 Note On ch 1 etc

I'm integrating PS( which is on IDES system ECC6 PH6) with cProjects( which is on DEV system ECC6 PH6 PPM 5.0). I've done customizing in DEV and IDES. The Controlling Method is Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Automatic).
When I'm saving a project with status 'to be transferd', the warning message appeared and I'm failing to assign PS Project automaticlly. But manual assignment works fine.

Procedure
Choose the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. In the cockpit, you can create a variant with your Project Management project under Selection Variant Orders Project Management. The errors that occurred are then displayed. If no messages are displayed in the controlling cockpit, they have already been processed or deleted. If this is the case, trigger the transfer again.
No more messages are displayed once the transfer has been carried out successfully (that is, no errors occurred).
Here is the problem：
In this Message, I was told to Choose the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. But actually, I can not find the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. It was missing.
I don't konw what‘s the problem with the missing Controlling Cockpit and how to deal with this warning message getting automatic PS assignment done.
By the way, I've done IDES test, cProjects and ERP system were integrated on the same system with RFC destination NONE. And that works fine on IDES, so I guess I've done the right customizing in the ERP system( IDES).

Hi Yemi,
Controlling cockpit is accessed to view the error details in the accounting integration. This can be accessed through two ways.
1) In Project-->Accounting tab
2) Through tcode - COCPCPR
You can try the second method to view the error details.
And coming back to your query on project profile config in PS, as Pramod said, by standard SAP delivers a standard profile in SAP PS for cProjects-->PS integration. You can find the same in the below SPRO path.
Project System-->Structures-->Operative structure-->Work Breakdown structure(WBS)-->Create Project profile
Project profile name : CPR0001
This project profile is used when an automatic PS project is created through accounting integration.

Selecting records in the table control

Hi Friends,
I have the requirement to be displayed in the table control, I got the data displayed in the table control. Now I need to select some of the records from the table control and update in the database. When I am trying to do that i am able to select only one records instead of some number of records. When I try to select the second record the first record which i selected is being unselected. Can any one tell me how to select more than one record in the table control.
