Manual tile with bleeds doesn't print all crop marks

When I try to print out a manually-tiled print with bleeds, the top of the page doesn't print a bleed and not all the crops print. How do I resolve this?
Michael

Were the crop marks printing on all four corners BEFORE you added "Include Slug Area"? In addition to adding the slug area in the print dialog, did you change the Slug Area values in the Document Set Up? Now that it works, is the printing scaled to a smaller size than before?
Trying to understand why that worked.
Thanks,
Al

  • Is there a way to insert printer's 'crop' marks in Page document?

    Making a booklet. Printer needs crop marks and bleed. Is there some easy way to make a set of crop marks for a single page ... that can be easily translated through all the pages of the document?

    Can one set Pages to RGB \ CMYK? Where?
    The page description models of Adobe PostScript, Apple QuickDraw Graphics Extension, and Adobe Portable Document Format are object oriented. Conceptually, there is no such thing as a global colourant model for object oriented page description models.
    To control colour in an object oriented page description model that supports the intelligent separation model of the International Color Consortium, capture and correct images into a source CIELab or RGB colour space of your choice.
    Place RGB objects in pagination properly tagged with their source ICC profiles and include the ICC profile for the intended printing condition as a PDF/X-3 OutputIntent using the ColorSync Utility export process (take care to revisit the export filter to see if the printing condition is correct).
    This way all objects in the pagination are converted into the correct ink limit, gray balance, highlight soft clipping, shadow soft clipping and compression of colour contrasts for the lightness range and colour gamut of the printing condition.

  • Printing doesn't print all pages

    I am running FF 8.01 with a Canon MG6220 printer. When I try to print pages it only (even in the preview) only prints one page and cuts off the bottom of the first page as well. All prints correctly in IE.

    I get around problems like that with web pages that don't show completely in Print Preview ''(especially those pages that are providing a receipt for a transaction, which are basically a one time access or view, or a statement of my account which I really don't need on paper - just save them to disk in one file)'' by saving the page as an MHT file using the UnMHT addon for Firefox. If I want a printed copy immediately, I open a new tab and use File > Open File... to open that just saved MHT in a new tab. Then I print it from that MHT file. I have never had a problem with a saved MHT file web page not printing all pages completely. <br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unmht/
    There's a number of printing Bugs that might cause that. iFrames and Divs that extend beyond the first printed page can cause pages 2 and beyond to not appear in Print Preview and to not be printed, and is probably the most common cause of that problem. Those two issues / Bugs have been around for as long as Firefox has existed ''(Sept 2002 with Phoenix 0.1)''; one Bug was filed on Netscape and the other on the Mozilla Suite. Both can be rectified fairly easily with web page media = print CSS code; if the website provided proper support for Firefox they could probably fix it in a few minutes. But, hey, after 10 years of providing specific patch code for IE 5, 5.5, and 6.0 for stuff that didn't meet W3C coding standards and to make their pages work in IE, they're probably out of practice testing their stuff with the 3 or 4 most popular browsers and providing a minor tweak here and there. Either that or the developers who did the testing and patches were "retired" because they were being paid more then a banana or two for their skills.
    I have given up hope that Mozilla will ever fix all these printing related problems, and I am afraid that they will screw things up even worse if they do try to fix something. Like this regression - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454532 - after the developers messed with printing for the Firefox 3.0 version; the Bug was filed 3 years ago and it still isn't completely fixed. Partial fix in 8.0, more promised in 9.0, and maybe completely fixed in 10.0??

  • Does a printer expect crop marks?

    Hi! If I am sending something to a printer as a photoshop pdf, should I put crop marks? I've seen some people saying that it's their job as the printer to do that. I don't speak directly with the printing company so I can't just ask them, also I want to know if there is a standard for things like this. Thanks!

    I'm not sure it can be helpful, since you're not printing direct to a printer, but do you know about these features of the Photoshop File - Print dialog?  I was vaguely thinking maybe you could print to PDF or XPS or something along those lines...

  • Contact Sheet doesn't print all pictures

    I have a MacBook running Leopard, iPhoto 6.0.6 and an HP PSC 1610 connected by USB.
    I want to print a contact sheet of pictures so I can decided what I want to really print for my scrapbooks. I make my selections in the print menu and see a nice preview shot. But when I print it skips random pictures and leaves a blank spot instead. Do you think this is a problem with my older printer or is there something I can do to fix this?

    I am scared to rebuild my library right now as I don't want to lose anything.
    Chances are, your photos are still filed safely inside the iPhoto Library folder, and iPhoto has simply forgot where they are. If you didn't make changes directly inside that folder from outside of iPhoto (like from the Finder) then it could just be a case of a slightly corrupted database file. The auto rebuild I described above will create a new database file and can correct that minor damage.
    On the other hand, your database could be significantly corrupted. In that case, you'll see more photos go missing as the database loses more links. Let it go, and it might deteriorate slowly over time. Do the auto rebuild, and it will bring all the damage to light at once. Worst case scenario, the database is toast and you have to do the manual rebuild. You lose albums, slideshows, books, titles, and other iPhoto metadata. You also lose the connection between an original photo and its edited version; you can choose whether to salvage the edits if you had spent a lot of time working on them.
    I am of the opinion that it is better to find out sooner rather than later if your database has gone bad. That way, you don't spend lots of time organizing a library that ultimately will fail.
    Do you have a current backup of your library, made before this problem started? If so, you can try copying the "Library6.iPhoto" file from the backup into your default library. That is the database file, which contains the information iPhoto needs to locate your photos. If not, back up your library first by making a copy of the whole iPhoto Library folder (do this in the Finder), then do the auto rebuild and see if it helps.
    I know I have an Originals folder and a Modified folder.
    Yes. iPhoto always preserves the original, unedited photo in the Originals folder. That gives you the ability to revert to the original at any time in the future. When you edit, the new version goes in the Modified folder. Only the most recent edit is saved. There is also a Data folder that contains the small thumbnails iPhoto creates for displaying your library efficiently. If you edit a photo, the thumbnail is updated to reflect the modified version. For a helpful illustration of the library folder, see this diagram by lori_diloreto: http://homepage.mac.com/loridilo/.Public/iPhoto6.jpg. You can compare the diagram to your library and see if anything is obviously out of place. Look, but don't make any changes without further advice.
    Just remember that you shouldn't need to go looking around inside the iPhoto Library folder at all. Changes you make while doing so will damage your database. Anything you need to do should be done via the iPhoto application, or by using iPhoto to export a copy for use outside of iPhoto.
    Regards.

  • Adobe X doesn't print all files

    Hi, I'm using Adobe X, XP Home, everything up to date.
    Often I need to open or print more than 1 file at a time.
    If I go to the directory, block off any number of pdf files and click on open, not all of the files will open. That was causing problems, but I discovered the trick there is to specify open with Adobe X and then they will all open.
    If I block off any number of pdf files and click on print, again, not all of the files will print.  Is there an option that allows me to batch print pdf files?
    Hoping there is!
    Thanks for any help, Tom

    I'm guessing its a setting but can't seem to find that particular one.  Has anyone ran into this?  Any ideas?
    While Bridge is not assigned for use over a network your problem seems cache related to me. When in a problem folder go to the menu tools / cache / and choose purge cache for folder and see if this helps you.

  • TS3999 The calendar in Outlook (and icloud) doesn't print all the events.  Only a few items are printed.

    I joined icloud and now have 3 calendars in Outlook: Calendar in iCloud, Calendar (2) in iCloud and Local Calendar in iCloud.  When I try and print the calendar only a few items print.  Most of the items/events in the calendar on the computer are not on the printed calendar.  Has anyone else had that problem?  How do I get in touch with an iCloud support person?

    Thanks Carolyn for the swift reply.
    Tried on both but unfortunately didn't work for me.
    I will create a new calendar called "Birthdays1" and will enter all birthdays again to see if that works.
    Problem seems to be only with the Birthday calendar so might be corrupted over time?
    Find it strange though that the Birthday calendar does appear correct and complete on my iCloud account online.

    John, are you talking about warning by any chance? More importantly this is a very bad idea. There are so many IDE's out there including several that are "special for students". I think the general concensus based on experiences here would be that student "IDE's" are by and large terrible soul sucking bug vortexes.
    Worst of all when the students have classpath errors, which we all know is going to happen, they will come here and we will be unable to help them because nobody will have ever heard of your IDE.

  • Doesn't print all items

    I filled an entire year with events for a calendar I am printing for my children's school. But when I went to print it, many of the events were cut off.
    Is there a way to avoid this? Can you adjust the size of the type? If not, is there anyway of telling if the event will be cut off other that going into print preview?
    Thanks

  • Os x doesn't print all web graphics

    hi,
    i often need to send web pages as pdf so the clients can see them properly, but not all graphics are shown and background images are missing.
    example: if you get a print preview of this page, you'll see a lot of things missing. it's the same in safari and firefox.
    any ideas how to fix that, apart from making a screenshot?
    thanks

    I'm not certain about other browsers, but in Safari (2.0.4) when you go into the Print dialog open the Copies & Pages list. Choose Safari, put a check in the box to Print backgrounds. Firefox (2.0.0.4) has even more settings to pick from.
    Most of the "frills" don't print by default in order to minimize print time & ink consumption.

  • How can I print web pages with HP psc 2175 printer?

    Hi,
    I'm having difficulty printing web pages with my HP psc 2175 printer. The printer spits out many pages before the actual page I want printed and then at times it doesn't print all of the section desired.
    In fact, when I copied one page the other day, saved it as a pdf file to my computer, opened the file and the document still would not print.
    Anyone have any idea what could be happening?

    Any suggestions?

  • Navigation problem when using tiles with JSF

    Hi all,
    I m using tiles with JSF. i have included all the libraries and jsp page is rendered properly. but when i use <h:commandLink> in the body part of the JSP , i cannot go to the specified link. when we use tiles, what changes need to be done in faces-config file?? i mean what navigation rule we need to specify ??

    Hello, I have the same problem; JSF+Tiles = No navigation.
    One basic question is should I reference the parent jsp or the included body jsp in the faces-config.xml file.
    For example: The login.jsp is a main tiles page that includes a menu.jsp, header.jsp & a loginBody.jsp.
    Hence the faces-config could have this rule;
    <navigation-rule>
    <from-view-id>/login.jsp</from-view-id>
    <navigation-case>
    <to-view-id>/catalog.jsp</to-view-id>
    </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>
    (I've left the outcome tag out to simplify this post)
    Or, I could refer loginBody.jsp in the navigation rule;
    <navigation-rule>
    <from-view-id>/loginBody.jsp</from-view-id>
    <navigation-case>
    <to-view-id>/catalog.jsp</to-view-id>
    </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>
    The loginBody.jsp has a commandbutton which a user clicks which starts the navigation.
    Neither seems to work unfortunately & I'm a stuck.
    Thanks

  • When I try to print iphoto crops my photos beyond recognition

    I am trying to print off about 40 photos, the normal 3.5x5 size. Since iPhoto no longer offers me the "N-up" option for formatting my photos, I have to put this size print in manually. When I do, it prints all my photos as if they were horizontal photos (instead of just automatically rotating the photo) therefore cropping out most of the picture. Even the horizontal photos seem very cropped to me, cutting off peoples heads and feet that were supposed to be in the picture. This did not used to happen with previous versions of iPhoto. I could probably print the photos one per page, but I do not want to waste the paper or my time with the extra cutting this would involve. Also, pictures that have been cropped to an odd size are always cropped automatically rather than leaving extra margins around the picture like it used to do when I could select the "N-up" option.
    is there a way to print off a bunch of photos at once so that I can put them in a photo album without having all my photos horribly cropped automatically?

    I found after posting this that several other people had this problem and it was fixed by selecting the size photo I wanted, then going to customize, right clicking the cropped photo and selecting "fit photo to frame size". However, I still had to right click again and select "edit photo" and rotate all the horizontal photos so that they were sideways in order to get the most picture into the size photo I selected. Seems like a huge pain when apple is supposed to be so user-friendly. is there any way I could write to apple and complain about this problem that so many people seem to be having? or is the problem solved in a newer version of iPhoto (I'm using iPhoto '09)
