Manual uninstall of 2005A client
We had a client install fail during the upgrade process from 2005A SP01 PL10 to 2005A SP01 PL43. Now it has been left in a state where we cannot complete the install and we cannot uninstall. Is anybody able to give me steps to manually uninstall the components of the client application?
Hi Greg,
In order to clean the client you should do the following:
1. Delete the SAP folder in the program files folder.
2. Delete all SAP entries in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
and HKEY_CURRENT_USER
3. Restart the PC
4. Run the SAP Business One client setup.
Within this setup you might run to an error like
"This application cannot be installed. Please deinstall older version
first".
If so you can use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility you find under;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q290301/
to remove the still existing SAP Business One Client entries from the registry.
Next:
Re-run the client setup.
Hope this will be helpful,
Regards,
Willy

Manual uninstall/removal of ZAM 7.5 client
How can I manually remove/rip out the ZAM 7.5 client from a PC. I have
tried to uninstall, but it says " This action is only valid for products
that are currently installed." If I try to reinstall it, it says I have to
uninstall the previous client first. Is there a list of reg keys and files
where I can just remove it manually and reinstall?
Thanks

Hi!
I need to uninstall Oracle 8g Client on about 1100 workstations. Please write down any solutions, how to do that manually (we tried with Auto IT utility, but there was a problem with popup screens).
Best Regards
Grega GlobocnikOracle 8g never existed, either you mean 8.0 or 8i, which makes a big difference since 8.0 requires an specific oracle installer for windows, meanwhile 8i requires the Oracle Universal Installer (in java). Both support silent install, which means you can create a batch to perform this task and just pass parameters to it.
Please specify the right 8.? version you have currently installed.

Manual uninstall of Oracle 8.1.7
I have tried to use the Oracle Universal Installer to remove my current Oracle installation and the process is failing. I cannot install, uninstall or upgrade. When I choose any option from the main menu the program will act as though it is doing something and then never return. I have tried to accomplish the uninstall from the CD and this too fails.
My question is:
How do I manually uninstall the client and database? Is removing all reference to Oracle in the HKLM portion of the registry and then removing the Oracle folder sufficient or is there another method.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Michael HesterDo you have database running on that server? Is the database closed and dismounted and is the instance stopped? Is the data critical? If not, you could delete the database with database configuration assistant, stop any oracle services, and then try the uninstall throught the OUI.

How do I manually uninstall CS3 Master Collection?
I started having problems with Encore, then Premier Pro. The programs have been functioning OK for some years, but started to fail for some reason some months ago. When I run the Installation program to uninstall it starts off OK showing a progress bar, but after some time it fails to progress and stops. I then tried the CS Cleaner Tool, but that increased the problems, so now I can not launch the installer program at all, and I get a notification that my license is no longer valid. Seems I will need to manually uninstall all CS3 programs (Master Collection).
I have a MacPro, OSX ver. 10.5.8 (Leopard), as I´ve been told that never versions off the operating system do not function well with the CS3. (I also own ver 10.6). I´ve long time searched the internet for a solution without beein able to solve this, so grateful for any helpI cannot say I have conclusive help to offer. At one point in time a couple years back CS3 started to go flaky on me and eventually led to prohibiting me from accessing any of the products that came with it, claiming my license was not valid.
Below are some notes I jotted down that served to help me... I cannot say if they will be a help to you.
One thing that I found troubling was that there was mention of no support from Adobe for CS3 any longer at various points along the line while trying to find a solution - hard to accept that a failing license would be ignored. I think the last bit of info I show below relates to having found someone at Adobe who was willing to try to help despite that... but I managed to fix things with the first bit of info I list before that person got back to me.

How to do a manual uninstall of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (9.4.4) on my Mac?
Hi Adobe Acrobat experts,
Can someone walk me through the steps I need to take in order to perform a manual uninstall of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my mac?
I just got Adobe Acrobat 11 on my mac and don't want to accidentally uninstall that in the process, or delete anything necessary for me to run my other CS4 Master Suite applications.
I can't uninstall the normal way and have tried to troubleshoot it in many ways. So the last resort I have is to manually uninstall. I just don't want to mess up my PDFs.
Thanks so much!

How do I manually uninstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?
The program crashed when using compiling the results of a distributed form.
I cannot open or compile any of my distributed forms, or even open the Tracker.
I uninstalled the program and reinstlled it, but the same problem exists.
I cannot use any existing distributed forms or create new ones.
I would like to try a manual uninstall.
Reformatting my hard drive is a last resort.
Thank you for your help.
SheilaHi Mike
Thank you for your recommendation to use Filemaker Pro. We will be buying the program soon.
The documentation for the Microsoft Installer Clean-up tool says 1) that other programs might be uninstalled also, and 2) you should not use it if you have Microsoft Office 2007 installed on your computer. i checked out the referral link for those who have Office 2007 installed, and it gives instructions for uninstalling Office 2007.
Thank you in advance for your response.

How to manually uninstall Adobe Acrobat 9 or force installation?
Acrobat was not cleanly uninstalled with a installation manager Total Uninstall, and now the standard uninstaller is no longer available. Reinstallation is currently not possible because the installer believes Acrobat is still installed. It seems my only option is to manually uninstall Acrobat, or possibily simplier option of forcing installation. I have removed all directories and subdirectories associated with Acrobat but this is not enough. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I guess you know now not to use crappy 3rd party utilties. What's wrong with using your OSes application removal anyways ?! That's what it's there for. <end of rant>
Go to Microsoft download and get the "Installer Cleanup Utility" (not sure if that's the correct name, but it's close enough . Run it and see if you can proceed with the installation of Acrobat.
FWIW it's not as simple as that. We use an administrative install point, (following adobe's "instructions" I might add), and several systems, including mine, got pretty jacked up from the 9.3.2 quarterly update.
Had to rip it out by the roots, and the msi cleanup is only part of the solution. Don't ask for a howto - I'm still too traumatized.
Registry surgery, boot to safe mode, remove application directory, some start->run entries, yada yada yada. Had to boot into linux to fix the recycle bin after all was said and done.
What a bloated mess.
I will add that most systems were fine, but this application is waaaaaaay too complex for what it does. Installation is fragile in a managed desktop environment, repair tedious. Updates are unforgiveably large and The MSP approach to patches/updates is a freaking nightmare to deal with. It sprays crap all over the system, the registry, and what the installer does is poorly documented if at all.
Funny how adobe nevers seems to chime in on any of these threads, BTW. -
How do I manually uninstall FIM Portal and Service 2010
I installed Forefront Identity Manager 2010 as follows:
Server 1: FIM Sync Service
Servers 2, 3: SharePoint Farm, FIM Portal and Service
I've had issues from the installation. When installing FIM Portal and Service on Server 2 it failed to recognize fim sync service on server 1. We had FIM service unavailable errors in most usage scenarios (even though asmx returned service description).
I was able to use RunAs different user to start browser as the service account used to install and run the FIM service, browse to the identity management site using
http://localhost and saw the fim portal. I was never able to see the portal using DNS address or server name from the server 2 or any other computer on the network, or using any other account (although I checked the option to
enable portal access for authenticated users).
I tried to uninstall - this went through all the steps but failed during apply and did a rollback. However, subsequent attempts to change, repair or uninstall all fail with message that the site was not found, please create it...
I would like to manually remove FIM Service and Portal and begin again. How do I manually remove FIM Service and Portal when uninstall fails?
Thanks,
David SaylorAre you getting this error message while uninstalling FIM?
FIM Portal and Service is trying to find a site which is not there anymore. Just add the url which FIM was looking into the Central Administration >> Alternate Access Mappings
Save and exit out from Central Administration and try to uninstall now and it should work. It worked for me.

From the snippet of the log, it appears that the product installation has been corrupted. Probably, try to repair it from Control Panel first and then test the command again?
Also, is it Microsoft Lync Basic 2013?

How to manually uninstall j2re ?
hi all,
i have problems with j2re 1.4.0 installation and i would really appreciate any help.
here's my problem : i first installed j2re 1.4.0_02 and then j2re 1.4.1, without uninstalling the first version. so, i had two plug-ins running on my pc.
i decided to uninstall both and reinstall 1.4.0.
after uninstalling both jre, i tried to launch the installation program but it doesn't seem to work (actually it doesn't stop, when trying to install the plug-in).
i suppose that the unistall process didn't work properly, so now i would like to uninstall jre manually before trying to install it again (i deleted manually the j2re directory, but it's not enough of course).
so, please help me because now i don't have any jre (and no plug-ins also)
thank you in advancehi all,
to anyone may have a problem similar to mine, here is how I solved it. follow the instruction and remember to exit any browser active task before launching the installation program.
for jre1.4..0_02 i found the correct registry key to delete is

You may need to manually uninstall the J2SE 1.4.0_01 JRE. To do so, follow these steps:
Go to Control Panel; select Java Plug-in. Click on the Browsers tab. Uncheck both IE and Netscape6.
Remove the directory in which you placed the J2SE JRE. For example, remove C:/Program Files/Java/j2re1.4.0_01.
Remove the following files from the Microsoft Windows System Directory:
plugincpl140_01.cpl
java.exe
javaw.exe
On Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, and XP:
C:/winnt/system32
On Microsoft Windows 98 and ME:
C:/windows
Remove the following Registry Keys:
HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE/software/Javasoft/Java Runtime Environment/1.4.0_01
HKEY_LOCALE_MACHINE/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/uninstall/7C F31609-270B-11D6-9445-000102308676 -
How do I manually uninstall Photoshop 7 Wiindows 7?
I have an old install of Photoshop 7 on my laptop (Windows 7 32-bit) that I am unable to uninstall. I have admin rights, but using the Windows program uninstaller tells me that I don't have sufficient rights to uninstall. The original program CD does not have an uninstall option, nor does attempting to re-install from the CD change my ability to uninstall it. A search of the web and search of Adobe's site have support documents for removing PS Elements and the CS versions of PS, but not version 7, at least that I have been able to find.
I understand the process of manually removing software and removing its entries with RegEdit, I am just looking for a document that lists all the registry entries specific to Photoshop 7. Note: just searching for any "Adobe" or "Photoshop" entries within RegEdit won't work as I have other Adobe software, including a newer versions of Photoshop that I do not want to remove, so I'm looking for a list of all registry keys that are specific to PS7, as well as, the various other folders a PS install creates. Thanks in advance for suggestions. Are you getting this error message while uninstalling FIM?
FIM Portal and Service is trying to find a site which is not there anymore. Just add the url which FIM was looking into the Central Administration >> Alternate Access Mappings
Save and exit out from Central Administration and try to uninstall now and it should work. It worked for me.

Help! I'm working on forms in 6.0 that were developed in 4.5, and none of the raise form_trigger_failure exceptions work. Whenever I raise the exception, I get an "Error - non-Oracle Exception" error. I haven't worked in 6.0 before, has this changed?
