Manually Removing a DVD from a DVD/TV Combo unit

Have a DVD/TV combo unit that has a DVD stuck (won't eject).  How do I get the DVD out without taking a hammer to it?

Just inserted a new DVD correctly into the slot on my model 37LX96 Regza DVD/TV combo and the screen went black.  Nothing works and cannot remove the DVD.  No manual release pinhole in this model and Toshiba offered no help without a $25 service charge.  Called the local service number they gave me and it was disconnected.  Great "customer-no-service" - I will junk this unit and never purchase anything from Toshiba again.  Toshiba had no record of the serial number on my unit after I properly filled out the registration when I purchased it.  Have no choice but to disassemble the whole thing to remove the DVD so I can return it to Redbox.

  • Removing a video from a DVD

I have a little problem. Last summer I created a very nice montage for my sisters wedding in Final Cut Pro. I have since worked all out all the video from the wedding and reception, making a full DVD. Only thing is I am missing this growing up montage. I edited on my old G4, and had all the files saved on a hard drive that has since died. Now, short of finding all the photos, and renaming them to what each clip was called and letting FCP piece it back together, what can I do?
What I am wondering, is I put the video on a DVD made with iDVD (as it was just to be shown at the reception) Is there anyway to remove the video from the DVD I made, so that I can put it in my DVD Studio Project.

A couple suggestions, Jon. The most elegant is to check over in the DVD Studio Pro forum to make sure that DSP can "reuse" mpeg2 files without recompressing them. If you're not going to re-edit the montage, I believe the original mpeg2 file (DVD format for your video) can be ripped from the original DVD and reused without needing conversion and recompression. My secondary alternative was a video screen capture program (like SnapZPro).

  • How can I remove a small handycam dvd from my dvd drive?

My daughter put the small dvd from our handycam into the dvd drive of my macbook pro.  I can't get it out by pushing the eject button and don't know what else to do.

In addition to shldr2thewheel's suggestion, I have heard of using  a vacuum cleaner.  Maybe worth a try?

  • Duplicating DVDs from Sony DVD/VCR combo

Please forgive a question that actually has nothing to do with DVD Studio Pro. (I DO own it, though!) I just figured you guys would know a lot.
I have a Sony DVD/VCR combo unit. I've created a DVD on the unit with footage from my MiniDV camcorder. The disc burned just fine and plays on my Mac. But I can't use Disc Utility to duplicate the DVD as I am used to doing. I get an "input/output error" message when I try to create a New Image from the disc. I don't see how copy protection could factor in; I made the disc myself, and it's all my own footage shot on MiniDV.
Any thoughts? Or workarounds? I'd like to avoid recreating the entire 2-hour DVD by digitizing straight to my Mac if at all possible.

Toast will do it very easily, but you might want to try this one. I haven't used it, but it looks promising.

  • Manually removing Exchange Server from Exchange 2010 Organization

Hi everybody, I need some help with a problem removing my last Exchange Server 2003 (the only one now, back-end) from my mixed environment, actually I have one Exchange 2010 server with all the mailboxes, I have replicated public folders and OAB and List
Address Books to it, after that i removed my front end server from my environment but when I tryed to remove my back-end, I have the error 0x80072030 (8240) when I ran the uninstallation of Exchange from Add/remove Programs:  I read
tons of articles but anyone helps (i have removed all mailboxes from that server), my last resource is removing the last Exchange Server 2003 from my mixed (2003/2010) organization, I have read articles about to remove Exchange from one server and to remove
Exchange from one site, also to remove Exchange to reinstall after, but my goal is remove Exchange at all because I have Exchange Server 2010 too and finally need to migrate to Exchange 2013 so I need to clean Exchange 2003 manually from my
    organizatión.
Please somebody knows a procedure to remove Exchange Server 2003 from Active Directory and left only Exchange 2010 to be able to migrate to Exchange 2013.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,

  • Burning 2nd copy of movie DVD from a DVD?

I have created a (movie) DVD from iDVD and would now like to make a second copy using the DVD (it is no longer in iDVD). How can I do that?

Well, if you've moved some of your original footaga, deleted it, or whatever, the "event" may still show as an event, but there may not be any actual files in it - I am guessing that is what is going on with it being greyed out. Normally you don't move the event, you move the files inside it. You might want to do a general search on your Mac with the name(s) you used (if you remember) to see if they are anywhere. If they are not, well then, the only possibility is the DVD you had made.
In that case, MPEG Streamclip is not on the Roxio website - Roxio makes Toast. MPEG Streamclip is a video converter - you can check it out here:
    http://www.squared5.com/
Make sure you read everything about it. It is free, but in some cases, requires the $20 Apple MPEG 2 Playback Component:

If you are content with just not starting it, then move all

The solution here also can work for a SD, just flip the Mac over to get the SD to "land" on the card stock.

  • How Do I Use my MacBook Pro to Watch a DVD From External DVD Player

    Hello Everyone!
While waiting for Apple TV to become available in my place of work, I want to use my MacBook Pro monitor for watching a DVD movie played on an external DVD player. The DVD player I have is an LPC-D1000, which is a new model. While Mac has its own DVD player, I'm trying to make use of my LG DVD player. If that's possible, please guide me on how to do it.
    Thank you.

You could use Elgato Systems' EyeTV product to view external video sources on your MBP.
There is additional cost involved, but it would achive what you want. You can buy the Hybrid product, and connect your external DVD player via Composite (red, white and yellow connectors) to your MBP via the EyeTV.

  • DVD from TV DVD Recorder plays on one iMac and not another

I've recorded DVD+Rs on a Sony DVD/VHS analog/digital recorder. They play fine on my white iMac, but appear as a blank burnable disk on my aluminum iMac. Could this be a software issue of something I've added to the white iMac they do play on? Darned if I know what it is...
    Any troubleshooting suggestions gratefully accepted.

Turns out the link above will answer the question.
    Plug in the swiper.
    Go to the Apple menu.
    Click System Preferences.
    Click Keyboard.
On the Keyboard tab, click Change Keyboard Type. The Keyboard Setup Assistant appears in a new window.
    Click Continue.
When you see a message starting with "Press the key immediately..." as shown below, swipe a card.
Click OK. You’re taken to Select The Keyboard Type.
Select ANSI (United States and others).
    Click Done.

  • Manually removing songs/albums from iPhone

There have been previous posts to this questions, but the newest iTunes seems to have changed.  The check box to manually manage music and videos now just allows manually managing videos.  The 'swipe' method to remove songs is tedious (1 song at a time, it does not work on albums or artists) and seems to only work on some songs; others won't delete (Yes I have the setting to 'show only local music' in the settings page).  Is there something I'm missing?  Why is this so hard?

How did those photo albums get on the iPad in the first place? If they were copied to the iPad by syncing with your computer you need to do another sync to delete them. Start iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your ad in iTunes and then click on the  photos tab In iTunes. Deselect the albums you want to delete then click on apply or sync.

  • How do I Manually remove CD when iMac won't boot?

Last night I downloaded several updates. Suddenly my Intel iMac 20 no longer boots up past the grey screen of death. A CD is stuck in the drive so I can't use my Install disk. None of the key commands on boot up work so I can't eject. Tech support had me repeat the steps without any luck. Next step is going to a shop.
Does anyone know how to manually remove a CD from an iMac drive? Any paper clip type trick with these? If I could do that I could try the install disk on boot up.
    Thanks,

Yes there is, Google to disassemble iMac, in my case" iMac 24" intel core duo" and you'll see more then one explanation, also with movie, but you'll need some torx tools. And be careful with disassembling the optical drive, to remove the plastic holder it's a bit tricky. Anyway good luck, but there is also a solutions at:< <a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://">http://www.macyourself.com/2009/05/01/the-ultimate-guide-to-ejec ting-a-stuck-disc-from-mac-superdrive/> look at it BEFORE disassembling your MAC

  • How to remove duplicate entries from Settings General iTunes Wi-Fi Sync?

On my iPhone under Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync there is a duplicate entry for my Mac. One is active, the other one shows options greyed out, as if it can't see the Mac on the network (although it's the same name). Is there a way to manually remove that entry from the iPhone?
I am running iOS 7.0.4, and OS X 10.9.1, iTunes 11.1.3 on the Mac.

iPhone 3G doesn't support Wi-Fi sync or IOS 5.1.1. You have to connect to iTunes using the dock connector to sync.
Unless you have a iPhone 3GS or jailbroken.

    Hello,
we had a disaster and our old SCCM 2007 site server is dead.
We already have a SCCM 2012 site server up and running and a old SCCM 2007 distribution point still up.
we need to convert the old DP to a 2012 DP.
How can i manually remove the DP from SCCM 2007 without an access to the console, site server, bd, etc...?
On the DP, Can I just remove all the share and permission?
    thanks

If you don't use the 2007 environment any more you can delete the old shares and folders.
